Somebody Stop the Pope – 77

Episode 77
3.
There was a reason the sign was up there.
I only took a few steps into the inner area of the black market and the air felt different.
Compared to the exterior which was filled with neat and tidy buildings the interior appeared to be poorly managed.
From the cigarette butts scattered everywhere to the smell of mugwort that wafts in from time to time.
It wasn’t that difficult to identify the mugwort smell.
“I had no idea that marijuana had been legalized in South Korea while I was away.”
“Your Majesty marijuana is still illegal.”
“Then what about this smell?”
“It must be marijuana. There have been rumors of drugs being distributed in the inner quarters. It’s not surprising that illegal activities are taking place here.”
Minsu added that while saying so all the YouTubers who came here to report in hopes of gaining views have gone missing.
According to Minsu’s story it seems that other things besides marijuana are also being traded.
Even if the government doesn’t have any power I don’t think they would just leave a place like this alone.
“This place is also formally under the jurisdiction of the Hive Guild.”
“But it is South Korean territory so how can the government not touch it at all?”
“I think you can see that the government’s role has been reduced to that extent.”
If you think about the fact that President Seo came all the way to our house and asked for our support you can understand why a place like this exists.
“The government says that but the Hive Guild is responsible for keeping this area safe. Isn’t it a bit strange that they’re leaving it like this?”
“The Hive Guild also periodically turns this area upside down. In fact they’ve caught a lot of villains. The number of villains arrested by guilds affiliated with the Jeon Kak-ryun is greater than the number of villains arrested by the government.”
“It smells just right.”
In other words it means that they can leave alone the villains who cooperate with them.
Come to think of it the privileges I requested from the government didn’t seem excessive.
Doesn’t that mean that the Jeon Gak-ryeon has already done that?
It is understandable that Aiden was pessimistic about the capabilities of the South Korean government.
“Brother Minsu.”

“Yes Your Majesty.”
“Brother Minsu what do you think those guys coming from far away are doing? They’ve been staring at us so intently since a while ago.”
A group of seven people were approaching us. They had a swaying gait as a default option and they were staring at us with such a hot gaze that it was almost suspicious of their sexual orientation.
Minsu followed me and observed the strange crowd for a while. Then he spoke in a quiet voice.
“They don’t seem to be very friendly friends. Could it be that they have magic…”
“No they’re not. They just seem to be here to pick a fight. Right Brother Minsu you don’t know much about the inner area do you?”
“sorry.”
“Don’t be so sorry. This is just the right time. Let’s hire a local guide while we’re at it. I saw on YouTube that there are people who guide people in slums overseas. I think it would be possible in Korea too.”
Would you like to hear some stories?
I waited for them to get to me with a smile.
As expected they stopped in front of us.
Unlike the people in the outside area they were not wearing masks which allowed the shocking visuals to be clearly revealed.
In particular the visual of the guy who appeared to be the leader was unusual.
The left side of his face was covered in hideous scars and the right side had an unknown pattern tattooed on it.
If an ordinary person had seen the man’s face it would have been so shocking that they would have been shocked the moment they saw it.
The guy looked at me and Minsu with his bloodshot eyes. Then he spoke in a phlegmy voice.
“Are you a guest? Who did you come in with an appointment with?”
“Oh do you need a reservation here too? Can’t you come in without a reservation?”
“No way! If you came all the way here you must have come because you need something. We can’t kick out our precious guests. So what brought you here? Drugs? Illegal modified weapons? People? If you need anything just tell me. I can get you anything if you give me money.”
For a group of people who want to treat you like a guest their attitude is extremely poor.
The merchants in the outer districts were doing a good job of soliciting customers but this side seemed prepared to use force if their offers were rejected.
In fact I could feel the magic from all seven of them.
Two of them are A-class five of them are B-class.
They were definitely not a group of people who were in a state of confusion. Minsu knew that too so his nervousness was evident.
“Don’t be nervous. Our kids may look rough but they’re really friendly to customers.”
“What do you mean by the person you guys are saving?”
“If you’ve come this far you’re not a squeamish person are you? Man or woman. Just tell me. I can cater to all your tastes.”
The guy leaned over slightly and spoke in a quiet voice.
“I could make it a fantastic night for you. Hehe isn’t that what you came here for?”
Okay I’ve gotten the general feel of the atmosphere here.
This is the kind of place it is.
I nodded slowly and stared at the guy who had shown his face to me.
Several evil deeds were floating above the guy’s head.
[Lists the evil deeds of player <Kang Ji-won>.]
[<Murder> <Assault> <Human Trafficking> etc. 24 cases]
I can’t tell you how happy I am that I have this awesome villain detection feature called <Will to Destroy>.
Being able to identify a bad guy is a huge advantage because it eliminates innocent victims.

I smiled as I took a pair of black gloves out of my pocket.
“What a fantastic night. It’s nice to hear that. I’m here to burn the night hot too.”
“That’s how it is for all the people who come to play here. You don’t have to be embarrassed. You are my guest from now on. Would you mind taking off your mask? Let’s see each other’s faces and say our names. My name is…”
“Isn’t that Kang Ji-won?”
That was the moment I blurted out the guy’s name.
Kang Ji-won’s expression which had been smiling just a moment ago distorted strangely. And the subordinates who had been snickering behind him began to threaten us by pulling out their weapons.
Kang Ji-won also brought a dagger to my neck without me noticing.
The dagger of that blue-tinted venomous fellow looked ready to pierce my neck at any moment.
“How do you know my name? You’d better answer. Are you from the government? Or… from another side?”
“I’m really curious what the other side is.”
“Take off your mask.”
“I have a weak respiratory system. Can you understand that?”
One of the guy’s subordinates got angry after hearing my sly answer and rushed at me.
“This cheeky little brat!”
He ripped off the mask covering my face violently.
The mask fell to the floor with the strings snapped exposing my face.
I said glancing at the mask that had fallen to the floor.
“My cute little sister personally prepared this mask for me because there’s a lot of fine dust today. Isn’t it too much?”
But there was no answer in return.
Instead the dagger that touched my neck began to tremble. Kang Ji-won who was holding the dagger had a look of shock on his face.
“Kim… Siwoo?”
“I guess I’ve definitely become famous. The director of the daycare and you too. They recognize me as soon as they see me. It’s true that people become famous and things happen.”
As I said that I grabbed the dagger that was touching my neck with my hand. Then the poisoned dagger turned into a small bead.
Kang Ji-won froze in that position perhaps shocked by the sudden show of force. And the same was true for the subordinates surrounding me.
“It’s going to be a bit noisy. Can you cooperate guys?”
Nod nod.
The guys nodded desperately to my words.
“That’s great. I hope you enjoy it because folding it in half is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’m serious.”
Kkwaddeukduk-!
I folded the body of the guy who had taken off my mask in half and smiled softly at Kang Ji-won.
“You have to stay still so you can have a fantastic night with me. If you run away you know what I mean? If you take even one step away I’ll break your leg bones.”
4.
So having acquired a useful guide we immediately moved towards the place where we could feel the magic.
It seemed like Kang Ji-won was a much more influential person in this world than I had thought.
“Everyone avoids their seats when they see you.”
“I I… am quite notorious…”
“What’s notoriety?”
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”
His spirits were very high because he had witnessed his own subordinates being folded in half with his own eyes.
I asked Minsu while hitting Kang Jiwon’s head with my fist.
“Is this person famous?”
“I remember. Two-Face. He was a villain who was famous for being hired as a mercenary participating in dungeon raids killing his employers and taking the dungeon’s byproducts and equipment. I didn’t know he was here.”
He was indeed a walking encyclopedia of awakened beings Minsu.
It’s Two Face.
He had a nickname that was quite fitting for a villain kid.
“Should I have split the face in two to live up to the name?”
“I will do as you say. Please just give me my life…”
“Don’t worry. I don’t kill people that easily. You little brat.”
Would I give up my life so easily?
I hit the guy in the head again and stopped walking.
“Is this it?”
A shabby three-story building.
Although it didn’t look unusual on the outside a magical energy could be felt throughout the building.
Especially in the basement of the building even at this very moment magic was being released. And that magic was slowly eating away at the land around here.
There were multiple magical barriers overlapping the entire area but they could not fool my senses.
“Hey you know this place well. Do you know who uses this place?”
“In this building people from China are doing business. They mainly sell smuggled goods drugs… and drugs.”
“Is that the end?”
“And people! People buy too. Usually people whose value has declined are handed over to these guys. There are a few other places that hire people but these guys pay the best and buy everything even if the product is defective.”
“let’s do it?”
“Yes yes. I mean products that have health problems. Usually people make a profit by selling organs…”
“My ears are rotting.”
Kwajijijik-.
I frowned and shoved the guy’s fist into Kang Ji-won’s mouth. Then I threw my shoulders back.
“Ugh! Ugh!”
Kang Ji-won’s whole body trembled in excruciating pain but he couldn’t even scream loudly.
All I could do was scream through the gap between the fists blocking my mouth.
“This is a preview. I’ll show you the main part later.”
The human desire for survival is so great that even in a situation where one is writhing in pain one wants to escape.
This was especially necessary because players have physical abilities that are far superior to those of ordinary people.
So I thought about it for a moment and then broke both of the guy’s legs.
Kkudduk.
The guy’s pants were soaked with blood indicating an open fracture. There was no way he could escape at this point.
Minsu who was watching the scene spoke with a blank face.
“I’d rather kill you…”
“The Pope should not kill people so easily. Life is so precious and its value should be respected to the utmost. Even if they are evil people they should not be killed easily. They should be given a chance to repent for their sins.”
“…Is that so?”
“Yes I am just providing a little help to those who do not seem to repent easily. Think of it as good suffering.”
“…okay.”
“That’s it.”
It’s good that he understands quickly as expected from a smart person.
I gave Minsu a thumbs up and then turned back to look at the building.
A structure in which there are no external stairs and movement between floors is only possible from inside the building.
The only visible exit was the door on the first floor.
“Brother Minsu.”
“Yes Your Majesty.”
“Stay here. It’s still a little early for Brother Minsu.”
They are from China and they buy without discrimination. You can even feel the magic in them.
The circumstantial evidence is clear.
Minsu is still not good enough to deal with these guys. Minsu also knew that fact well so he reluctantly nodded.
“It won’t take long.”
“All right.”
“then.”
I confidently entered the building with Minsu in front of me.
As I opened the door and entered the first floor which had a restaurant structure caught my eye.
There were people sitting everywhere and a woman was sitting at the checkout counter right next to it.
She stared at me. No everyone there stared at me.
After a moment of silence the woman at the checkout counter spoke in a trembling voice.
“Black… Pope.”
I looked at her and smiled brightly. Then I said while creating a sacred barrier around me.
“What are you doing? I have to serve guests.”
Our Pope please stop this
