    Episode 45

    3.

    Luna Reventon.

Luna was the commander of the Knights of Palma the third order of knights in our order and one of the powers representing the Holy See.

Just as Leo was nicknamed the Mad Dog of the Vatican Luna also had a nickname.

    Bloody Saintess.

I think it was a pretty fitting nickname for her as she swung her hammer while covered in the blood of her enemies on the front lines of the battlefield.

Luna was good at handling all weapons but she especially liked the hammer. So I asked her why.

‘It has a taste that will blow your mind. If Your Majesty tastes it you will understand what I mean. By the way do you have time this evening? If it’s okay let’s have a drink together in front of the Vatican…’

    …he replied.

Regardless of her fighting prowess she was a figure with considerable influence within the religious order.

The legitimacy of being a saint and the appearance that would make anyone turn around at least once.

With her outgoing personality many people regardless of gender admired her.

To borrow an expression from the Earth it was like being an idol.

In a time like now when we need to expand our influence if a talent like Luna comes over we would welcome it with open arms.

But last time Leo did it too and this time Luna did it too why did they have to fight as soon as they crossed the gate?

Of course in both cases the opponent struck first but with Leona Luna’s skills they would have been able to dodge it cleverly.

That was so frustrating that I asked Leo why on the way to the scene.

Then Leo answered as if it were very obvious.

“Sir Reventon and I simply did as we were taught.”

“What kind of bastard gave such teachings to a priest?”

To my question Leo simply stared at me without answering.

    …Me?

    anyway.

So we were able to arrive at the scene at Wolmido Gate in Incheon within 20 minutes of the incident but the situation there was more serious than I had expected.

    Kwaaaaaaaah!

Of course there was a loud noise like a bomb exploding.

    “Control the journalists properly!”

“A gate subjugation operation is currently in progress here! Entry is prohibited to all except unauthorized personnel!”

“Is it true that you are fighting the Limen Cult?”

    “Please clarify the facts!”

The entrance to the temporary barrier leading to the gate was noisy with numerous reporters crowding in.

Moreover judging from the fact that vehicles carrying Hive Guild players continued to approach from afar it seemed that Hive Guild had no intention of backing down easily.

“It seems like they are ready to go to war with our church.”

    “It’s a matter of pride.”

Hive Guild is the second largest guild in South Korea.

A truly gigantic guild with four S-class hunters and numerous conglomerates as sponsors.

That guild was humiliated unilaterally during a live stream and their pride was hurt.

It’s even stranger that your eyes aren’t moving.

In this situation if I were to confidently walk into that entrance there could be real bloodshed.

If Luna hadn’t brought up the topic of the Limen Sect things wouldn’t have gotten this bad but what can I do? It’s already spilled milk.

For now the priority was to prevent Luna from causing a bigger accident.

If the Hive Guild sends in additional troops and engages them in battle then it’s a real disaster.

“First we need to enter the barrier and meet Luna.”

“If it’s the nature of Lord Reventon he won’t back down. But how are you planning to enter when the entrance to the barrier is blocked like that?”

    “How so.”

    Pfft pfft pfft!

[Magic interference is nullified by the passive skill <Divine Protection Lv. Max>.]

[A serious shock is accumulated in the created magic barrier! The barrier’s durability has been significantly reduced.]

Of course you just have to break through the barrier.

Leo looked at me like that sighed quietly and followed me into the barrier.

“There is a Chinese idiom called ‘Nero Nam-bul’ (meaning ‘be careful not to be careful’).”

    “What is that?”

    “…That’s just it. Please go.”

Anyway there are no monsters that can escape from the barrier.

This is because not only had Luna and the players from the Hive Guild quietly cleared out the area but the gate itself had already been destroyed.

In this situation what’s the big deal about the durability of the barrier?

    “It’s right in front.”

As we entered the barrier we were able to find Luna shortly thereafter.

A pure white knight standing with his back to the sea.

Her red hair fluttered beautifully in the sea breeze and the sunlight brightly illuminated her white skin and armor.

If you look at Luna’s visuals alone it seems like a truly beautiful scene.

    “ha.”

Except for the Hive Guild Hunters sprawled on the floor.

I put my hand on my forehead as I looked at the horrific scene unfolding before my eyes.

There were about 40 players lying around in various places looking shabby.

But there is one thing that is fortunate.

    Kwaaaaaaaang!

The point is that one hunter belonging to the Hive Guild is still holding out.

In other words the last bit of pride was not broken.

At first glance it seemed like one of the four S-rank hunters possessed by the Hive Guild.

Of course his condition didn’t look very good either.

“It seems that Lord Reventon is deliberately testing his opponent.”

    “Leo.”

    “Yes Your Majesty.”

“Usually when you see something like that you say that the other person is being toyed with.”

At first glance it seemed like they were trading blows and defense but in reality that wasn’t the case at all.

The Hive Guild’s S-rank hunters were unable to counterattack even once.

He was just too busy following Luna’s movements.

The fact that the match was not decided despite the many openings that could have determined the outcome made it seem as if Luna was deliberately playing around with her opponent.

But that was only for a moment.

    “His Holiness!”

Luna who noticed me smiled brightly and soon gained momentum.

The intention is to decide the outcome in one fell swoop.

As soon as I witnessed that scene I immediately got between the two.

    Kuuuuung-!

And then he spoke softly while simultaneously deflecting Luna’s hammer and the man’s sword.

“There seems to be a misunderstanding so let’s stop here.”

They say you can’t put spilt water back in but shouldn’t you at least stop the water from spilling further?

    4.

Life doesn’t always go as planned.

But sometimes things don’t go as planned which is a good thing.

“Team Leader Oh Jun-woo. What are you talking about now?”

“I’m telling you that we are also responsible. We were the ones who attacked first even though they warned us several times.”

    Just like now.

I couldn’t hide my bewilderment at the bizarre situation unfolding before my eyes.

When I entered this barrier to pick up Luna I was prepared for a head-on clash with the Hive Guild.

Even from my perspective it was a situation that could have caused misunderstanding on their part.

But the situation after that went in a direction I didn’t expect.

As soon as I stopped the battle the Hive Guild troops waiting behind arrived at the scene.

Until then I had expected that they would make a full-scale protest but my expectations were pleasantly wrong.

    “Team Leader Oh Jun-woo!”

“Even if you say that it’s not like it’s wrong. Rather I think it’s a situation where we should be the first to apologize.”

Oh Jun-woo an S-rank hunter from the Hive Guild who had been fighting Luna just a moment ago suddenly started to actively defend us.

Besides he wasn’t defending us blindly.

“Team Leader you simply entered into a legal subjugation of the beings that emerged from the gate as enemies in accordance with the Special Act on Abilities. So why do you keep insisting that we are responsible?”

“The entity that emerged from the gate declared that it had no intention of fighting. And it did so in Korean which we could understand. Even though there was ample room for discussion it was we who gave the order to fight.”

I was saying the lines I had prepared with my own mouth.

A situation that is completely incomprehensible.

And it wasn’t just me who couldn’t understand him.

“No seriously why are you doing this Team Leader Oh! Huh? Your subordinates have been terribly broken. No matter how much Team Leader Oh is someone the CEO cherishes if you do this you won’t be able to avoid disciplinary action.”

“I will gladly accept the punishment. But I cannot stand by and watch that person suffer.”

Even another leader of the Hive Guild who arrived with reinforcements began to raise his voice in frustration.

I watched the two bickering and asked Luna a question in a sneaky way.

“Luna. You didn’t brainwash that guy named Oh Jun-woo did you?”

“Hey do you think I have that ability? And if I had the ability to brainwash I would have brainwashed His Majesty first. Hehe.”

“Then why on earth is he doing that?”

“I don’t know either. If Your Majesty is really curious wouldn’t it be okay to ask after everyone has laid down? Just tell me.”

“…You’re just helping by staying still. Just shut up.”

Luna shrugged her shoulders and then turned her gaze to look at Leo who was standing behind me.

And then he said giving Leo a cool slap on the back.

“Leo! How have you been? Have you been missing your sister?”

“…Lord Reventon. If you do this here….”

“What if siblings enjoy the joy of reuniting?”

Of course those two are not biological siblings.

However Luna’s logic was ‘Since both the saint and the saintess originated from Limen shouldn’t they be siblings?’

…Well it happened a lot in Eden so don’t worry about it. The important thing right now is to get out of here.

I looked at the two of them sighed and then turned my gaze forward again.

It seemed like the dispute between the Hive Guilds had reached its final stages.

The person in charge who arrived late had his mouth shut and his face was red and Hunter Oh Jun-woo was also looking at us with a reddened expression.

    To be precise Luna’s side.

It was only after seeing Oh Jun-woo’s expression that I was able to accurately understand what was going on.

“The members of the Limen Church may return home.”

    A face flushed with red.

A gaze that never leaves Luna.

There was even a voice that trembled incessantly.

It all pointed to one thing.

    “Did you say…Luna Reventon?”

    “Oh right.”

“Thanks to Luna Reventon I have gained great insight.”

I fell in love with the hunter Luna named Oh Jun-woo.

    That too very properly.

Luna answered Oh Jun-woo’s words with a hearty laugh.

“You’re a better guy than I thought. Your swordsmanship would be great if you just fixed a few of your bad habits.”

    “Is that so?”

“Of course. I don’t lie about things like this.”

At Luna’s words Oh Jun-woo hesitated for a moment and then asked in a trembling voice.

“May I come to you later and ask for more teachings?”

“If His Holiness the Pope gives his permission it won’t be difficult right?”

Luna said that and winked at me.

Sometimes I see Luna and she really takes advantage of the fact that she’s pretty.

    It’s like this monster.

I shrugged my shoulders and looked at Oh Jun-woo.

“When you have time please stop by the temple. You can learn swordsmanship from our Lord Reventon and have some nice words with him before you leave.”

Even if I look at it it is no exaggeration to say that it is a real cult comment but that doesn’t seem to be important to a man in love.

In response to my answer Hunter Oh Jun-woo bowed politely and answered with fighting spirit.

    “Thank you for your consideration!”

“Hey I’m the one who should be grateful.”

Thanks to you a headache was solved so of course I am more grateful.

If there’s a difference it might be possible to pull it towards us.

Actually there were several such cases in Eden.

“Then let’s go back and trust only in Hunter Oh Jun-woo.”

    “yes!”

    I didn’t know until then.

The ripple effects that this would have.

    Our Pope please stop this
