Somebody Stop the Pope – 313

Episode 313
3.
I apologized to my family and boarded the plane back to Korea.
I thought my family would all be upset but they didn’t complain to me at all.
Rather he nodded obediently as if he knew everything.
What was most unexpected was Siyeon’s reaction.
-You look like you found a hidden treasure big brother! We’ll have fun here and then go back hehe. Anyway we won’t be able to have fun as much as we want when you’re here right?
Siyeon must have been upset.
However they cheered me on when I returned citing various reasons.
How wonderful that sight was.
But that was something that only one person knew and two others did not.
Siyeon is just as popular as I am.
In fact our family will receive attention wherever we go.
Just in case I asked Aiden to look after my family.
There’s no reason for anything to go wrong since the US government has promised to do everything it can to protect the family.
I returned to Korea after postponing my family trip.
As soon as I got off at the airport I headed straight to the temple.
As soon as I arrived in the Holy Land the first person to greet me was Archbishop Laparte.
“Welcome Your Majesty.”
“You came back just now.”
“Wouldn’t things be a little better if we built a temple in America?”
“Tell them to start building the temple in LA right away.”
We entered the sanctuary exchanging light jokes.
The Seoul Holy Land is under control for the time being. This is because we still need to reorganize our religious forces and because we have given all employees working at the Holy Land a leave of absence.
I think Jinyoung will probably continue to exercise control like this until his brother’s wedding.
I have to prepare for the wedding too.

Archbishop Laparte bowed his head and smiled faintly.
“I see Your Majesty has come in such a hurry… You must have gone and found a way.”
“Maybe. I’m going to check that out from now on.”
Walk forward diligently.
The road from the entrance of the holy land to the temple was full of flowers in bloom.
As if it were spring all year round beautiful and abundant flowers greeted me everywhere.
In the meantime the fairies who were diligently making flowers bloom waved at me happily.
“Kyowaaaaaaang!”
“Have you returned from your trip already?”
I smiled and waved at the fairies.
It feels good.
No it’s not just good.
Have you ever felt better than this moment?
I feel like the confidence I had in my heart has grown and spread throughout my body.
I walked diligently forward through the garden trying hard to hide my anticipation.
The branches of the sacred tree swaying in the breeze.
The fragrance of flowers gently envelops the entire holy land.
Everything seemed to bless me. And from all the traces of it.
“Limen.”
I feel like I can feel the limelight.
Why didn’t I know this until now?
The fact that I held her hand and hugged her until the last moment if she had left anything behind it would have been by my side.
Why didn’t I realize that obvious fact until now?
I finally arrived at the front of the temple and came face to face with the ‘faceless statue’ of Limen which had been built not long ago.
A statue made to the same size as the statue of the Holy See in Eden.
The statue made almost identically to the statue of Eden by the craftsmanship of Dwarf Toby was shining brighter than ever in the sunlight.
“Then I will step aside for a moment.”
Archbishop Lapart bowed to me and quickly retreated to the back.
There was no more hesitation or doubt.
Woohoo.
I took out the <Hand Mirror of Awareness> that I had kept in my bosom. The hand mirror began to resonate pleasantly with the new image.
Phew.
A faint light extends from the statue and reflects off the hand mirror.
And the ray of light stretched out to the garden that Limen loved most located next to the temple.
It’s almost like he’s showing me the way.
I smiled silently and walked towards the direction the light was pointing.
A pleasant breeze brushed my forehead and the fragrant scent of flowers entered my nostrils.

My steps are lighter than ever.
“Just wait a moment.”
I wonder if she’s hearing my voice from somewhere?
I followed the light step by step lightly but powerfully.
And finally we arrived at our destination.
The light that spread out from the hand mirror stopped in the middle of a garden full of flowers.
I too went forward into the midst of the lingering light.
A single softly shining stone monument sat in the middle of the garden.
A tombstone that I also remember.
A beautiful monument that Limen himself created after appearing in the Seoul Holy Land.
“A place where dreams take a break”
The tombstone was inscribed with beautiful handwriting that Limen had personally carved.
The flowers adorning the back of the tombstone could never be more beautiful than they are now.
Could it be that Limen’s dream is also sleeping in this place where countless people’s dreams sleep?
Even though no one told me I quickly realized what I had to do.
I took the stone from Eden out of my bosom and placed it in front of the tombstone. Then the hand mirror left my hand and floated up into the sky on its own.
Phew.
A brilliant light simultaneously emanated from the tombstone and the stone. And that light reflected off the mirror and illuminated me at the same time.
The sight before my eyes is filled with a brilliant light.
“It’s time to wake up from the dream.”
The light began to guide me somewhere and I naturally gave in to the flow.
Limen wasn’t far away.
Limen the woman I had vowed to find my whole life was sleeping in her resting place.
I just realized it now.
Well I’m glad you realized it now.
“They’re all here.”
Terra’s final gift eventually led me to Limen.
To the sanctuary where she rests.
That sanctuary was me.
4.
[<The Mirror of Awareness> guides you inwardly.]
Close your eyes once and open them again.
Instead of the garden with the tombstone my very familiar office came into view.
I got up opened the door and went outside. Then a familiar hallway came into view.
The hallway of the temple.
It was impossible to tell if this was Eden or Earth. Both were structurally identical.
But now it is not particularly meaningful to distinguish between the two.
This place is entirely my inner self.
It is also a gift that Terra left for me.
I walked down the hallway and headed toward the main church for a moment.
Originally this place would have been filled with chairs for believers to sit on and statues of Limen but there were none of those things here.
Instead someone’s memories were taking hold.
“Hello! My name is Limen. Are you really embarrassed? I would have been the same. ”
Some scenes were playing inside the pillar of light.
The first was the scene where Limen and I first met. One thing that was unique was that only I appeared in that scene.
The video was shot from a first-person perspective.
Should we call it an omniscient point of view?
In the pillar of light next to it a different scene was playing out.
From the scene where I first encountered the demons and fought them while shedding blood to everything I did in Eden.
This place was like a museum to me.
All the moments of mine that Limen had captured in his eyes are vividly alive and breathing here.
Woohoo.
As I was thinking back on those memories I felt a small vibration in my arms.
I took it out and checked and it was the <Prophet’s Compass>.
A holy relic brought from Eden just in case.
The compass needle had been pointing towards me since Eden but this time it was different.
The compass was pointing in the opposite direction of the main hall.
I started walking again following the compass.
I continued walking through the long hallways of the temple into the sun-drenched outside.
How long did it take?
A landscape filled with flowers and trees all the way to the horizon welcomes me.
It was a mysterious and wonderful sight. I almost felt like I could get lost in this endless garden.
But I had a compass to show me the way so I just walked in the direction the compass pointed me to.
It was a world that was no different from a dream but my senses were still vivid.
The warm breeze and fragrant flowers felt just like reality. However there was one thing that was different from reality.
“What if Siwoo becomes unhappy because of me?”
“You always fought for me.”
“Can’t I too protect Siwoo?”
A familiar voice is heard on the wind.
A voice full of worry and regret.
It was the voice I had been looking for.
I walked forward listening to every single one of those voices.
“We have to find a way.”
“I don’t want to take the path that will lead to Siwoo’s misfortune.”
Her worries and concerns that had been building up over a long period of time were heard in their entirety.
It was Limen who always smiled in front of me.
These are the voices she wanted to hide from me.
I also know why she kept all these worries hidden.
Because when Limen gets anxious I get anxious.
She would gladly have taken these worries upon herself.
“…It’s frustrating.”
Walking through the voice of Limen.
“I can’t leave the heavy burden to Siu like Terra planned.”
“I can’t sacrifice Siwoo any more.”
“I’d rather do it myself.”
Limen in the voice seemed to have finally reached a conclusion.
I realize that this is the conclusion she has reached after much deliberation.
“If it’s Siwoo he’ll come find me.”
“Even if you can’t find me….”
“If Siwoo can continue to live that’s enough for me.”
In the distance a large blue tree began to appear.
I walked slowly keeping Limen’s voice engraved in my head.
“I love you Siwoo.”
“I want to see you again.”
“Will we see each other again?”
Something flows down my cheek.
I think I’m crying right now.
I smiled brightly wiping away my tears. Then I nodded vigorously.
“of course.”
Finally we reached the hill where the giant tree was standing.
The needle in the compass pointed exactly to the big tree so I climbed the hill without hesitation.
Suddenly this thought occurs to me.
If Raphael hadn’t sent me to Eden.
If you haven’t found any traces of Limen in Eden.
Could I really have reached this moment?
“That couldn’t be true.”
This precious moment was ultimately completed thanks to the relationships I have built up so far.
If there had been no one of these connections I would not have been able to face this moment.
Until now I thought that Limen and I had saved the Earth and Eden.
But now that I think about it that wasn’t it.
All the relationships that Limen and I had maintained ultimately led us here.
That’s why it’s a miracle.
A miracle given to us by those we protected.
“ah.”
A dazzlingly beautiful being was leaning against a large tree with its eyes closed.
Her ragged breathing as if she was sleeping deeply echoed in my ears.
I approached her holding my breath.
And he said this while carefully embracing her while she was sleeping.
“I’m here.”
After a while she opens her eyes from her sleep.
As soon as she opened her eyes she looked at me and said in a playful voice.
“Is Siwoo kidnapping me this time?”
He nodded with a smile at those words.
“You should experience it once too. It’s only fair.”
“Well then… I guess I should pretend I can’t win?”
I leaned in and kissed her on the mouth.
And then he nodded with a bright smile.
“Of course it should be like that.”
