Somebody Stop the Pope – 276

Episode 276
90. Reward
1.
Our religious order’s temple was built in the middle of Shenyang.
The surrounding area filled with all sorts of beautiful flowers and trees seemed to offer some comfort to this desolate city that had been devastated by Pluto.
“We are distributing relief supplies.”
“If you are hungry come here and get some food.”
Distribution of food items transported from Seoul to here through the inter-holy land passage also began.
The only good thing is that this city is doing better than other cities.
After taking in the relief scene I turned my head again and looked at the troops of our religious order lined up in the open space in front of the holy place.
“The Second Temple Knights’ Division has a total of 600 members. There were no casualties in the last battle!”
Luna reported to me while kneeling on one knee.
“The Third Fighter Priests’ Corps totals 400 men. All is well!”
Leo also bowed his head to me still wearing his black priestly cassock.
And the rest of the troops standing behind them also salute me in unison.
And the Eden troops who have been through thick and thin with me.
The 1st 2nd and 3rd generation trainees who came from Earth and were personally trained by the executives.
They become one before the name of Limen.
This is a painting I never imagined possible. I always wanted to see a painting like this one day but I never thought my wish would come true so quickly.
I shouted at them from the top of the temple steps.
“Thank you for coming here brothers and sisters.”
They still look at me from their knees.
“It must not have been an easy choice to come to another world you had never heard of before but I sincerely thank you.”
Limen said that they all came over of their own accord.
It was her choice to open the dimension.
Coming here beyond that dimension would have been entirely their own personal choice.

And yet they were willing to come here to help me.
This is about the beautiful world of Eden where peace has finally been restored.
That made me even more grateful.
The results of everything I had done over the past ten years were laid out right here.
They chose to fight alongside me this time too.
Even though it is a world where we don’t understand each other and everything is awkward you decided to stay by my side.
I couldn’t be more thankful for that.
As I was unable to continue speaking and just looked down Luna raised her ceremonial sword high. And then she spoke in a louder voice than ever before.
“Your Majesty’s enemies are the enemies of the Order. The Order of Limen!”
Then the knights behind her also raised their swords high and repeated.
“The Limen Church!”
“I will definitely repay the favor!”
“I will definitely repay the favor!”
I looked at that scene for a long time with a satisfied expression.
And he said with a sly smile.
“While you are on Earth I hope you will teach many lessons to your juniors here. Please pass on all your courage and experience to your brothers and sisters. Even though we were born in different worlds… aren’t we all one in the arms of Limen?”
A move that will completely resolve the practical experience that was the only weakness of our church.
The addition of veterans who have been through thick and thin will soon lead to a dramatic increase in combat power.
“I will conclude my speech here. Please wait in the Holy Land and await the subsequent redeployment of troops.”
After I finished my brief welcoming speech I spoke to Archbishop Laparte who was waiting behind me.
“The troops from Eden need time to adapt to Earth.”
Just one thing.
They too have come to another world so they will need a brief period of adjustment.
It’s my first time coming to another world so of course it’s going to be awkward.
But the answer I got from Archbishop Lapart was truly unexpected.
“We knew you would say that so we prepared something in advance in Seoul.”
“…Ready?”
“Thank goodness Lord Limen personally gave me an oracle. He told me to prepare the equipment the expedition will use in advance. Brothers and sisters please hurry and provide the supplies to the expedition members.”
“Yes Archbishop.”
“Huh?”
Currently Limen has returned to her own space saying she has something to talk to Terra about.
What on earth did Limen convey separately to Archbishop Lapart?
“…uh?”
I was left speechless by the scene that followed a moment later.
“Thanks to the active cooperation of the South Korean government the service was opened on the same day. The government provided a guarantee of identity and these smartphones were opened through that identity.”
“No that’s why…..”
“Don’t worry. Although they are the latest models they won’t have much of an impact on the church’s finances.”

“…That’s not what’s important.”
Archbishop Lapart and his staff were distributing smartphones to the expedition team.
Are you giving out smartphones to people who just came from Eden?
Even if you give it to me I won’t be able to use it right?
“At least tell them how to use it and then distribute it… huh?”
I am speechless.
Why?
“I finally get to touch my own personal smartphone.”
“How is it brother? Wasn’t it a good thing that you prepared in advance in Eden?”
“As expected Lord Limen prepared for this situation for us… Ah thank you!”
This is because these guys who are practically no different from country bumpkins who just came from Eden were using smartphones so naturally.
It was a spectacle that started with them turning on the power checking their numbers and then exchanging each other’s numbers.
Cognitive dissonance is starting to set in.
Is this correct?
“Lord Limen gave the knowledge of Earth to the soldiers selected for the expedition. They all worked hard in various ways for today. It is said that accepting Earth’s culture was also a basic quality required of the expedition members.”
“The language barrier… ah it must have been a blessing of language.”
“Yes.”
“I feel strange.”
People who just came from Eden naturally use smartphones….
It’s stranger not to feel any discomfort in that appearance.
When on earth did Limen start preparing for this expedition?
And that’s not all.
I was also worried about whether the expedition from Eden and the main force from Earth would get along well.
“Seniors! I am Jaemin Oh a first-term trainee of the Limen School! Lord Luna Reventon has always taught us about the great achievements of our seniors!”
“Seniors! It’s an honor to meet you!”
“Seniors! I’m so happy to be able to work with you!”
Led by Jaemin the first batch of trainees all bow to the Eden expedition team and greet them.
And the 2nd and 3rd class trainees also bowed down following the riders above them.
Was it because he was satisfied with the extreme courtesy of his juniors?
The knights and warrior priests from Eden laugh and pat their juniors on the back.
“Thank you for your hard work juniors.”
“This is truly a wonderful faith and attitude. We are so happy that our juniors treat us this way.”
“In Limen’s arms aren’t we all one family?”
“ha ha ha!”
“What my seniors said is so right!”
I was worried for nothing.
How could that be possible when they are people who have been thoroughly baptized in the faith of muscles from head to toe… no Limen?
In this way a thousand Eden soldiers joined our church.
2.
The evening the Eden troops joined.
At the new holy site in Shenyang a small welcoming ceremony was held for the reinforcements arriving from another world.
“I can definitely feel that Siwoo is receiving love from his goddess. I wish I had a goddess like that too.”
“The god of your world tore everything apart with your own hands.”
“They were not worthy of being called gods. They had no honor and no divinity. Don’t you know that since they died by my hand?”
“I see.”
“A goddess who takes such meticulous care of you… I would have fallen for you too.”
Sacred stones placed throughout the holy land serve as lighting.
Just some barbecue and some drinks.
Since it was an event hosted by a religious group there was no alcohol but Aiden wiped his mouth while drinking some of the liquor he had obtained from somewhere.
Raphael is walking around and talking to the expedition members who came over from Eden curious about them.
It is a moment of peace amidst war.
Just a few hours ago this place might have been my grave but at least for now the atmosphere was cheerful.
“The atmosphere is good. The fighters of the Limen Sect are always cheerful and nice to see. It’s like seeing the warriors of our tribe in the past.”
“Do you miss them?”
Aiden nodded with a smirk at my question.
“Of course. They are the only family I have left now.”
“Don’t you miss the wives you left behind there?”
“I’ve said it many times before but I’ve only ever loved one woman in my entire life. I gave up everything for that woman and came back.”
Aiden took another sip of his liquor.
And then he said roughly wiping the alcohol off the corner of his mouth.
“Do you know why I came to America?”
“Well because it’s your hometown?”
“I’m not the type of person who is particularly attached to my hometown. There’s no particular reason why I moved to America. I can kill more monsters if I stay in America. That’s all.”
I heard that while he was in another world his wife was killed by monsters.
Aiden’s driving force up until now must have been guilt and hatred for monsters.
And it’s not much different now.
Still an eerie dark hatred burned beyond his eyes.
“It’s all thanks to Siwoo.”
“what?”
“You taught me who I should hate. The ancient gods who made this world like this. My anger and hatred are directed at them. That’s why I’m sticking by your side.”
Suddenly my first impression of this man comes to mind.
My first impression wasn’t very good.
Because it was rude and violent.
Anger and hatred are clearly negative emotions and they only leave behind emptiness.
I knew that too but that didn’t mean I would stop Aiden.
Because Aiden was the one who could handle all the consequences alone.
“All my emotions are mine alone. If they bring about any results they are mine alone. What greater honor is there for a warrior than to choose his own end?”
“I told you that you only act like a warrior when you drink. What’s wrong with being drunk?”
“Hehehe if you look closely you and I are complete opposites. Siwoo you want to fight to protect something. On the other hand I want to fight because I have nothing to protect.”
Aiden sometimes says things like this when he drinks.
Is it possible that you only come to your senses when you drink alcohol?
I snatched the liquor from Aiden’s hand and took a sip.
Something hot passes down my throat.
“It’s so amazing that we became friends.”
“Our goal is the same.”
“The purpose is…”
“Because if I protect someone your revenge will be complete.”
Aiden laughs out loud at those words and nods his head with all his might.
“You are right. I promise. I will kill the gods in this world just as I did in the original world. So do your best to get my revenge.”
“If someone saw you they’d think you were my superior. Should we really re-establish the hierarchy here today?”
“No thanks. As you can see I’m really drunk.”
Aiden took the bottle of liquor from my hands again. He emptied the remaining liquor into his throat took a deep breath and said.
“We have reinforced our troops and successfully secured a bridgehead so now we can move a little more boldly.”
“It’s become easier to supply supplies through the passage between the Holy Lands. We should use this as a starting point to distribute some of our power.”
The final destination is Beijing.
The Purifiers are already making a big dent in the west and advancing towards Beijing.
According to reports the acts committed are so horrific that the word ‘madness’ is inadequate.
“We made our move first so now it’s their turn to make their move.”
Aiden nodded with a smirk at my words.
“I’m looking forward to it. There’s nothing more thrilling than grinding up a struggling enemy.”
“Well.”
Are the guys throwing a tantrum or is this all part of their plan?
We’ll have to wait and see.
I looked up at the sky where the sun had set and let out a small breath full of alcohol.
Our Pope please stop this
