Somebody Stop the Pope – 275
by Jessie@AFNCC
Episode 275
5.
An army marches out from a brilliant pillar of light.
A pure white armor soaked in the brilliance of Limen advances mercilessly cutting down Pluto’s forces.
“It’s annoying.”
Pluto swings his scythe lightly.
The divine power that stretched out from his scythe was like death trying to sweep away the army as befitting his nickname.
But that was only for a moment.
Sarrururuk.
Towering earthen walls and overwhelming light block his divine power.
Limen and Terra.
Under the protection of these two gods an army that could easily overcome the heavens finally set foot on this land.
And they all knelt down toward me and shouted.
“The Knights of the Third Temple Knights greet His Holiness the Pope! May the glory of Limen be upon you!”
“The warrior priests of the Second Order of Warrior Priests greet His Holiness! May the salvation of Limen rest upon you!”
They were my comrades.
Comrades who have been with me in Eden for a very long time.
They were heroes who overcame countless life-or-death crises and achieved miraculous victories.
“The connection between dimensions isn’t perfect yet. So this is it for now. What do you think Siwoo? Do you like my surprise gift?”
“The situation in Eden is…..”
“I’ve crushed all those who tried to invade Eden. I was so busy cleaning up that I was a bit distracted but luckily I think I got the timing right.”
Could this be the reason why Limen has been so busy?
The troops of the Limen Sect that walked out of the pillar of light could truly be said to be the best.
Because they were the last ones to survive the war against the demon lords.
There are more beings on days when they fight than on days when they don’t fight.
Those who sacrificed everything in their lives for the world called Eden have now willingly stepped forward to save me and my world.

“As you can see I brought the Third Knights and the Second Battle Priests. They were once led by Luna and Leo and they are also children who work well with you Siu. Right now the dimensions aren’t completely connected so this is the limit. The next follow-up troops will arrive in Earth time… about two weeks later.”
“…This is more than enough.”
600 paladins and 400 battle priests.
Moreover they are all veterans and elites.
Veterans who can perfectly pass on the ‘practical experience’ that the Earth’s Limen Sect lacked.
“You don’t like the surprise gift?”
Limen asked while gently holding my hand. Then I shook my head from side to side vigorously towards Limen.
“No way. This is the best surprise gift of my life.”
“It makes me happy when you say that!”
She said so and then turned her head again to look at Pluto.
“There is nothing you can do here.”
“Lord of Eden what do you intend to accomplish here? You know what the price is for a Lord of one dimension to manifest in another dimension.”
And then.
Unexpectedly harsh words came out of Limen’s mouth.
“Isn’t that a problem that a loser who was kicked out of his hometown should be concerned about? Have you ever tried giving it to someone?”
“That’s interesting. Are you saying that you are that human’s guardian?”
“Not a protector but a companion.”
“It’s tear-jerking haha!”
Pluto laughed loudly and then put down his scythe.
Then his sickle crumbled into dust.
“It’s too bad. This place is that person’s grave and I’ve lost interest in the situation. I guess I’ll have to stop here.”
What that guy said isn’t a lie.
Because Pluto was strong enough to kill me.
I still rubbed my throbbing wrist and raised the corners of my mouth in a bitter manner.
The guy’s energy still lingered slightly around his wrist which was probably why it was interfering with his regeneration.
Phew.
“Siu.”
Limen gently grabbed my wrist and her warm divine power drove Pluto’s divine power out of my body.
Only then was I able to escape from this hallucinatory pain.
She spoke to Pluto while holding my wrist.
“Are you going to add more sir?”
I never thought that Limen who had always been generous and loving to me could have such a voice.
What should I say? Should I say that I feel a slight gap?
Pluto shrugged his shoulders in response to Limen’s provocative remark.
“No way. My brothers haven’t all gathered yet. I guess I’ll have to call it a day. I was planning on taking that human as loot but I’ll have to wait until next time.”
“Pluto all you know how to do is run away. Doesn’t that bring back old memories?”
“Terra you will pay the price for attracting a god from another dimension.”

This time Terra answered his words by raising her middle finger.
“Eat this and get out.”
“What does that mean?”
“It means ‘Eat some shit’ or something. If you understand then get out. The ladies are busy.”
Pluto laughed loudly again then slowly stepped back carrying his pack on his back.
Swish.
A huge door rose from his shadow and Pluto slowly approached it.
Pluto spoke to us before the darkness extending from the door completely concealed his body.
“The moment of reunion is not far away. Human let us postpone the battle we could not finish today until next time. Until then I hope that my other brothers will survive without being killed.”
That’s the end of it.
Pluto disappeared into complete darkness.
The same was true of the faceless monsters that followed him.
A city suddenly enveloped in silence.
The crack that had divided the sky disappeared and the orange sky was painted over with gray as if it had never been like that.
[The causality in the area returns to normal.]
A message flashed before his eyes and Limen smiled brightly as if nothing had happened and spoke to me.
“The three of us need to talk for a bit so should we move for a moment?”
At those words I took my phone out of my pocket and called Luna.
-Yes Your Majesty.
“Are you in Shenyang right now? Come here with Leo and get some presents.”
-A gift? Why a gift all of a sudden?
“You’ll know when you come. Anyway come and get it quickly. I’ll go talk to you for a bit and come back.”
I think the story will go on for quite some time.
After giving those instructions to Luna I put the phone back in my pocket.
And he nodded while looking at Limen and Terra.
“Shall we start talking? Where do you plan on talking? Is there a good place to talk?”
“If it doesn’t exist just make it. Is Terra possible?”
“It’s a situation that has reached its limit so there’s no reason why it wouldn’t work out.”
That was when.
[The <Holy Land> that was created in that area will disappear.]
[A new holy site is established in this area.]
[<Dimension: Eden>’s main god Limen descended directly. Therefore the area is set as the holy land of <Limen>.]
The Temple of Limen appeared in front of us with a sudden message window.
I shrugged my shoulders as I looked at the temple.
“I forgot for a moment that I was with the goddesses.”
“This is also a gift. It seems like you’re using the temple as a bridgehead these days… Do you not like it?”
“That would be possible. Forward Barracks… no Forward Temple is always right.”
Unexpected gifts were pouring in.
6.
As soon as Terra entered the temple he summoned a cola out of thin air. It seemed that he had quite liked the cola since the last time he tasted it.
“Um where should I start?”
Terra looked at me with a secretive look and nodded slowly.
“There’s no need to think about it in a long and complicated way Pope. Limen and I simply made a contract from the beginning. To put it in your human terms… Well it’s easier to think of it as mutual assistance. In exchange for me sending you to Eden Eden will help Earth someday. That’s what we talked about.”
It would have been nearly impossible for Terra alone to stop the returning Old Gods.
So did Terra know that I would save Eden and return?
Terra continued speaking snickering as if he was reading my thoughts.
“Why do you think I have sent so many humans to other worlds until now?”
“You said you were studying abroad.”
“Studying abroad is right. But I didn’t send just anyone to study abroad. I only sent those with potential. You could say it was a diversified investment. The Pope you are the stock that I invested in that has seen the biggest growth.”
In the first place all of the returnees were beings arranged by Terra to stop the ancient gods.
A kind of insurance.
I already knew that because Terra had told me before.
“There must have been one or two humans with potential. I can’t look after all the humans I sent to other worlds. The moment they left Earth their fate was out of my hands. There are many humans who didn’t return.”
Either they haven’t found a way back or they have no intention of coming back.
Or worst case scenario… you die in that world.
There must be many reasons.
Terra took another sip of cola. Then she looked at me and Limen and smirked.
“I did but the person next to you must have seen the future. Their ability to see the future is far superior to mine. Isn’t that right Limen?”
“I just trusted my eyes and Siwoo. To protect my world… there was no way.”
“Isn’t it a win-win either way? Limen you’ve gained a warrior to protect your world and I’ve also gained reinforcements to protect Earth.”
“I don’t feel so good hearing that my fate was decided without my permission. Am I an object? You can trade me as you please?”
“Until then it was just an object. At that time it was just a human being with potential.”
Terra who still treats things like objects
“No Siu. You were a treasure to me from the beginning.”
Limen tries to appease me somehow by keeping an eye on me.
I couldn’t help but chuckle as I watched their stark reactions.
In fact it didn’t matter anymore how I got here.
The most important thing now is ‘what to do going forward.’
I leaned comfortably against the back of the chair.
“Let’s talk about future plans. I remember that the connection between Eden and Earth was almost severed.”
Even the connection with Limen was becoming blurred.
In this situation the fact that the connection has become strong enough to reach Eden’s forces means that Limen and Terra have taken some kind of action.
“that….”
The moment Terra was about to answer my question Limen who was next to her raised her hand to stop her. Then she immediately looked into my eyes and said.
“I’ll answer you Siu.”
Even the Lord said that the connection between dimensions was impossible without some cost.
So what is she paying for this connection?
“When a divinity interferes with another dimension it gradually loses its status. That is a rule that has existed since the beginning to maintain balance between dimensions.”
“In this case Terra also gave permission.”
“Formally that may be so… but in the end it’s me who is unilaterally influencing the Earth.”
Consumes grid energy to maintain connections between resources.
To summarize her words simply it was like this.
That is now she is connecting with the Earth by paying the price of her status as a god.
What happens if you lose all your rank?
I already knew the answer to that question from previous experience.
What kind of fate did those beings who had all their status taken from me meet?
“Limen.”
“Don’t worry. I am the Lord of Eden. I can easily endure this much.”
She smiled brightly as if nothing had happened.
But why is that?
Suddenly I remember the words left behind by a being who once called me ‘my future self’.
-Don’t let go of the lime. That’s all you have to remember.
Why would he say something like that?
I looked into Limen’s beautiful eyes.
“Siwoo trust me.”
Limen smiles faintly as if nothing happened.
Still it seemed like she was hiding something from me.
But I couldn’t ask her anymore what she was hiding.
Maybe it’s because I’m sure her choice is only for me.
So I could only nod my head and smile. And then I said in a low voice.
“Believe me.”
Our Pope please stop this
