Somebody Stop the Pope – 203
by Jessie@AFNCC
Episode 203
5.
This is my office located in Shinjeon Seoul.
As soon as we cleared the labyrinth and returned an emergency meeting began.
Participants are key executives of the religious order.
I Leo Luna Laparte Archbishop Toby.
The reason why this emergency meeting was started was as follows.
“…Why this sword… Huh.”
“I never thought I would see the Sword of Judgement here. I’ve only seen it once but hey. Things get crazy when you come to Earth. I’ve heard the myth that it was forged by the distant Dwarven ancestors and completed by the tears of Lord Limen.”
“Surprisingly that myth is true Toby.”
“Oh Your Majesty. Look at the way you matched the rhymes.”
This <Sword of Judgement> popped out from <Random Relics>.
What were the chances of this <Sword of Judgement> appearing?
I couldn’t even dare to imagine it.
Who would have thought that this would come out among the countless relics?
“Limen shed tears for his children who were being killed by the devil and the wicked and his tears touched the sword and the sword became a sword of judgment.”
Archbishop Laparte recited a passage from the Bible of the Order of Limen.
It was a passage about the <Sword of Judgement> that appears in the early part of the Bible.
In other words this is a holy relic that has existed since the early days of the Black Limen Sect.
Among the holy swords possessed by the Limen Order this is the original holy sword and the last holy sword that will remain.
“This is a big deal.”
It meant that it was a precious relic that could definitely be counted on one hand among the three most valuable relics of the Limen Church.
Not only does it have tremendous power against demons but the moment the sword is stuck into the ground a sacred barrier is created that is so powerful that it would not be an exaggeration to call it impregnable.
This black Vatican is also the last line of defense.
This alone was enough to activate a sacred barrier throughout the city where the Vatican was located.
In short it is a relic with ridiculous specifications.

“It seems that the Holy See’s sacred barrier has been greatly weakened. Is that okay Archbishop Laparat?”
I asked Archbishop Lapart cautiously.
Archbishop Lapart’s face darkened as soon as he encountered the Sword of Judgement but he quickly regained his composure.
“Since the war ended and we’ve gathered a lot of the relics that were scattered across the continent… I don’t think there will be any major problems right away.”
“If that’s the case then that would be fortunate…..”
Actually our noses are three inches long.
Moreover it is a situation where it cannot even be returned.
What can you do in this situation? Just think of yourself as lucky and use it wisely.
“Oh but I feel like it’s a bit of a shame to use this to build a holy place…”
Luna who had been looking at the Sword of Judgement and exclaiming in admiration at my words answered.
“Anyway I can’t use it unless it’s your Majesty.”
“…That’s true.”
This is the biggest drawback of <Sword of Judgement>.
That not just anyone can use it.
It has the characteristic that only those recognized by the sword can use it.
It’s easy to think of it as having a similar feel to the famous Excalibur legend on Earth.
I looked down at the Judgement Sword that was on the desk and smiled bitterly.
“If only a suitable relic had come over I wouldn’t have had these worries but since it’s so big I feel a bit dizzy.”
“I think so too.”
“No is this really okay?”
Not only did they steal talented people they also took away precious relics.
I really wonder if this is okay.
If we consider Eden as the headquarters of our church then the Earth branch is taking over all of the headquarters’ assets…
I feel a pang of conscience.
But my worries didn’t last long.
What difference would it make if I worried about it here? Since things have come to this I should use it wisely so as not to embarrass my colleagues in the other world.
I took up the Sword of Judgement in my hand.
Woof woof woof.
The black resonated pleasantly as it responded to my divine power.
“Just look forward just look forward.”
There is Limen in Eden so there won’t be any problems.
Terra who had been watching me all this time appeared in person and even warned me.
This means that not only those who use magic but also enemies known as the Ancient Gods have now risen to the surface.
At times like this you shouldn’t think about anything else.
A threat that is right in front of us.
It was time to focus all my attention on them.

A message that comes to mind.
I know exactly what that message means.
Another trait possessed by the Sword of Judgement.
As befitting the best relic it has many built-in functions the most representative of which is this.
“Binding.”
[The Holy Relic <Sword of Judgement> applies to <Dimension: Earth>.]
[Permanently increases the experience gain rate of all players belonging to the Limen Order by 30%. Additionally the level of all statuses and skills increases by 30% against enemies with <Energy: Magic>.]
[<Sword of Judgement> The special effect <Holy War> is automatically applied within a 5km radius.]
This sword helped me a lot when I was growing up in Eden.
This buff is a real treat for players in our church who are thirsty for growth.
It’s just one relic but it applies a huge group buff.
“Include all the first and second batch trainees in this second advance.”
I can’t miss this opportunity.
The fighting power of the first batch of trainees has increased significantly but the fighting power of the second batch of trainees is still minimal.
Before our sect landed in China we needed to raise our fighting power to the maximum.
“Luna Leo.”
“Yes Your Majesty.”
“yes.”
“Roll them around until they die.”
This is a time when even a small amount of strength is precious.
The purifier causing chaos in China.
And the ancient gods who stretch out their hands from beyond.
“It’s been a bit quiet lately hasn’t it? Let’s make some big moves.”
It’s time to take a big step forward based on what we’ve accumulated so far.
I nodded while looking at the executives.
6.
Since that day time has passed really quickly in our church.
The second northward advance resumed in earnest.
A bold advance operation toward the Yalu River starting from the temporary base in Pyongyang.
With the addition of the second irregular Ja-Hyeon Lee the South Korean government which had gained more power than ever before began advancing north toward the Amnok River without any hesitation.
A month passed like that.
Oh so what was the result of the operation?
[Title: Just for today I allow myself to be patriotic.]
Content: I have never been more proud of the Republic of Korea than I have been in recent times. I took a picture all the way to the Amnok River… If this isn’t the recovery of our territory what is it? I just wish we could go over the Amnok River and enter China with this momentum.
Kim Si-woo and Cheon Ja-hyun’s one-two punch was crazy
N King Siu is King Ja Hyun
Oh my. King in front of our Pope’s name; he should at least be called God.
If China had been in good health this would have been impossible in the first place. We must not forget the lessons of the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea…
N Anti-American Aid War? Got this kid lol
Hey lol your main camp is on fire right now what are you doing here?
As can be seen from the community’s response the Northward Advance Operation led by the South Korean government was a great success.
I let out a small breath as I looked at the leisurely flowing Yalu River.
The place where we are now was once called Sinuiju.
Although the city was relatively well preserved compared to Pyongyang it was not in perfect condition.
A city more than 90 percent destroyed.
The ruins were nothing but a few structures that indicated that there had once been a city here.
“Your Majesty what are you doing here?”
“Web surfing.”
“Surfing the web while looking at the Yalu River… How romantic. But is the internet working here?”
“Raphael.”
“Raphael Mountain is trustworthy. I will ask him for help later.”
Luna approached me holding a skewer in both hands. Then she quickly handed me the skewer she was holding in her right hand.
“It’s pork. It’s pork belly provided by the government troops grilled over charcoal so it’ll be delicious.”
“thanks.”
“Isn’t it only me who takes care of Your Majesty?”
Luna smiled faintly and then plopped down next to me.
And then he took a tough bite of the pork belly that was on the skewer.
“This is the famous Yalu River.”
“Don’t you know the Amnok River well?”
“Um what river flows through the northernmost part of South Korea? The Amnok River to the west of Mt. Baekdu and the Duman River to the east of Mt. Baekdu.”
“You studied geography a bit.”
“Siyeon sometimes teaches me Korean geography. And these days whenever I go on a portal site all I see is stories about the Amnok River.”
Luna was becoming a more perfect Korean.
Luna put another piece of meat into her mouth and looked at the huge wall erected across the Yalu River.
“It seems similar to Ground Zero.”
“That’s the country beyond that.”
“aha.”
A high wall built by China to keep out monsters from the Lost Lands.
The idea of blocking monsters with a wall of ridiculous size is definitely a Chinese creation.
In the past they said that Dandong City should be visible from here but I couldn’t see Dandong City.
All that is visible is a bare wall with holes here and there.
It is said that there were quite a few monsters that attacked the wall across the Yalu River.
And among them.
“Remember those orcs I chased away near the ceasefire line a long time ago?”
“yes.”
“They said they buried them there. Some of them dug tunnels under the wall and entered Dandong City.”
This was the story that Director Kim told me.
The orcs that escaped from me eventually reached China and caused considerable damage.
Luna nodded at my words and said curtly.
“You reap what you sow don’t you? You should have been more kind to yourself in the past. It’s not like you were mean to yourself.”
“You are right.”
It is said that the civil war in China has now reached a point where it is uncontrollable.
Some regions have openly declared independence while others are still fighting local wars.
The area that suffered the most damage was Shanghai.
It is said that fighting is still raging in Shanghai.
And there are a lot of civilian deaths.
Because of this it is also an area where the influence of the Limen sect is spreading at an incredible rate.
In a situation where one cannot dream of hope the last bastion will ultimately be faith.
Ah Luna’s official dispatch date has also been decided.
9 days from now.
There was an announcement from the Chinese government and I held a press conference myself.
The reason for dispatching troops was of course to maintain peace.
The governments of South Korea and Japan also welcomed it with open arms.
“Luna.”
“Your Majesty.”
“Go and don’t take sides. Don’t worry about whether it’s government forces or rebels. Think of the civilians first.”
“Of course. But you’re going to build a temple in Shanghai anyway right? If something urgent comes up just come over. Why are you so worried?”
“…First of all you are the person in charge.”
“It’s definitely not pretty. It’s just a relief if there are no accidents.”
It’s a good thing you know it well.
I looked back at the Amnok River with a smirk.
Still I gained a lot from this northern advance.
Surprisingly the number of deaths in the Limen sect is still 0.
The first and second batches of trainees achieved results beyond my expectations.
It was such an achievement that so many people noticed that there was a special article about our sect’s players.
“Now I won’t get hit wherever I go.”
“The first batch of trainees are now comparable to other A-class hunters. The second batch of trainees have even surpassed the first batch in terms of growth rate. And I told them in advance that if they go anywhere and get beaten up they’ll die by my hand. They understood right away didn’t they?”
Rather than dying at Luna’s hands I’d rather be killed by someone else.
I said this while wiping my lips with my hand after finishing off all the pork belly skewers I was holding.
“It’s a good opportunity to prove my achievements before advancing to Shanghai.”
The reason we came here leading our troops today.
“We cross the Yalu River today.”
The reason was right beyond that wall.
I held my breath quietly looking at the red light flickering in the sky beyond the barrier.
Our Pope please stop this
