    Episode 142

    3.

After a long conversation with reporter Seo Leo and I were left alone in the office.

Even though the conversation was somewhat productive Leo’s expression was not good.

    “Your Majesty.”

    “why?”

“…How did you know that I was the leader of the Lili-Juk clan….”

    The reason was simple.

Because the secret Leo wanted to keep so hidden was revealed to me.

I shrugged as I took a cola out of the fridge.

“It’s too obvious. If you can’t even notice something like that you can’t be the Pope.”

    “In which part exactly….”

“An expert in doctrine who can explain the doctrine in detail to the members. And a position where he can sneak out the highest-grade sacred stone and embed it in the whole body. The only people who can do that are our church leaders but Luna won’t do it because it’s too much trouble. Archbishop Lapart came to Earth late so there’s only one person left right?”

Unless Limen had secretly dispatched another person from Eden there would only be one person who met all of those conditions.

    Leo.

The person named ‘Elo’ who created the Leebapjuk was definitely Leo.

I took a sip of my cola glanced at Leo and continued talking.

“Well that’s fortunate. Since it’s an organization that can be managed through you at least it can be controlled.”

It would certainly be better to have Leo as the head than to have a questionable doctrine expert as the head.

I never expected Leo who quickly learned the civilization of the Earth to create such a fanatic organization but now it has actually been beneficial.

“You educate yourself. Do you know that you brought about this disaster?”

“I am fully aware of it.”

“Even though he stole the Shinsungseok he went around making a fuss and demanding to know about it.”

Leo nodded with a stern expression at my reprimand.

Still it would be safe to say that today’s meeting with reporter Seo was very fruitful.

    “The Earth-style heretic inquisitor.”

I let out a small exclamation of admiration as I looked at the list of members of the Lee Eop-Juk Society placed in front of me.

The Inquisitor reinterpreted in Earth terms.

Unlike Eden which focused solely on field activities or offline activities Earth decided to include online activities as part of their activities.

Besides things worked out much better than I expected.

I was really worried about how to raise the Inquisitors because there were many unexpected people among the members of the Liebbeok.

“Current judges former prosecutors former investigators detective agency employees former police officers… It’s really ridiculous. There are many people who seem suitable for the Heresy Inquisitor. We just have to choose carefully among them.”

    “I don’t think we’ll start from zero.”

    The talent pool was splendid.

There were more members with expertise in modern investigative techniques or legal knowledge than expected.

Even though most of them were unawakened it wasn’t a big problem.

“There’s no problem because you can baptize someone once the baptism cooldown period has passed. And there’s no need for the Inquisitor to be an Awakened One.”

Just baptize them as you did last time.

Until then all we have to do is continue to teach doctrine and impart the knowledge to discern heresy.

“While the Inquisitors of Eden were required to be armed to fight and defeat heretics on Earth the standards are expected to be considerably more relaxed.”

As Leo said no force as great as that in Eden is required.

On Earth there will not be many instances of direct confrontation with heresy.

If we indiscriminately destroy them just because they are heretics it would be like declaring that we are not a religious group but a violent organization.

There was a need to approach the heresy problem in a slightly more sophisticated way.

    I nodded slowly.

“Still we need to educate them to the extent that they can protect themselves.”

“I will include it in the curriculum. Don’t worry Your Majesty. There can be no weak priests in the Limen Order.”

“…Okay. Talk to Archbishop Lapart and discuss it together to make a good choice.”

For now Archbishop Laparte has been given full authority over the training of new recruits.

Archbishop Lapart’s abilities will be enough to train enough Inquisitors to be worthy of the Earth.

If there is a part that crosses the line I just need to fix that part myself.

“Your Majesty the Inquisitors are those who work for Limen in the shadows. It will be the same on Earth.”

“When you say it like that it sounds like you’re from a spy agency.”

Is it the Dark Limen Sect or something?

Leo nodded vigorously at my words.

“The most important duty of the Inquisitors is to investigate those who blaspheme Limen gather evidence and bring them before the judge of the Inquisition. Strictly speaking they are an intelligence agency.”

“We can’t rely on the government or the US forever. Okay. Let’s organize this properly.”

    “Thank you for trusting me…”

“But if you don’t manage it properly or something happens… you know? You’re responsible.”

Fanatics will take care of themselves.

Although I was a little annoyed by Leo who was secretly taking pictures of fanatics on the Internet I thought Leo’s impulsive actions would be of unexpected help.

That’s why I say you never know what will happen to people.

That might be why it’s fun.

In this way the launch of the new organization of the Limen Church the ‘Inquisition’ was confirmed.

Now all that remains is to make concrete plans and then establish a structure for the new organization.

“Still it’s fortunate that we have Archbishop Laparte.”

What would have happened if I hadn’t asked Limen to send Archbishop Lapart?

It’s dizzying just thinking about it.

I drank all the cola left in the bottle down my throat. Then I exhaled gently.

    “Phew.”

It feels like as time goes by there are more and more things to worry about.

It would be nice to talk to Limen at times like this.

Things are going quite quickly at Eden so I haven’t heard back from anyone who contacted me.

Could this also have something to do with those ‘twisted gods’ that Beth mentioned last time?

They say no news is good news but in my experience no news has never been good news.

He must be busy working on something in Eden by now.

    “Leo.”

    “Yes Your Majesty.”

    “Let’s work hard too.”

All we can do is to faithfully grow the church until she gives us her trust again.

Leo bowed his head politely to my words.

“I will always do my best.”

“Fanatics… raise them in moderation. I always say this but too much is not good. You know that?”

“Don’t worry. We are not raising believers who are so blind that they will cause trouble in society. We are raising people who are thoroughly armed with faith.”

…is it just me or is it just me who is trying to raise fanatics who are completely different on the outside and inside?

He’s a fanatic who looks normal on the outside…

In fact that might be more dangerous.

    4.

After confirming the launch of the Inquisition my work for today was effectively over.

There was nothing special going on except that we started preparing for the second batch of trainees who would soon enter the training camp.

That’s why capable subordinates are the best.

In the beginning I had to take care of everything but thanks to my subordinates my burden was greatly reduced.

The saying that greetings are everything is so true.

Once we had the right people in the right positions the burden was definitely lessened.

As I was enjoying such a leisurely afternoon a welcome guest came to the temple. Then I went out for a pleasant walk in the garden with the guest.

    The guest’s identity is

“I like it because it’s always warm here.”

The demonstration was held with Beth’s leash in one hand and cotton candy made by Toby in the other.

Toby’s favorite snack these days is cotton candy.

Toby loves cotton candy so much that he has a cotton candy machine in his workshop.

    “Does cotton candy taste good?”

“Yeah! Do you want some too oppa?”

“If you eat a lot of that your teeth won’t rot.”

Perhaps because the cotton candy was made in a space filled with divine power a subtle divine power could be felt even from the cotton candy.

The teeth will not rot but rather they will be beneficial to the body because of the divine power they contain.

I gently touched the head of Siyeon who was eating cotton candy diligently.

    “Eat lots Siyeon.”

“It’s nice to take a walk like this with Oppa. Have you finished all your work today Oppa? I didn’t bother you did I?”

“Graham. I’m done with work today.”

If you say you’re going for a walk with Siyeon even Archbishop Lapart will give you permission.

I don’t know about other things but Archbishop Lapart also really likes Siyeon. Siyeon is the healing point of our church leaders and she monopolizes their cuteness and love.

    “Big brother.”

    “huh?”

    “Actually… I’m a little embarrassed.”

    Siyeon said while glancing around.

The reason Siyeon had no choice but to say that was because so many people who had come to the Holy Land were watching our walk.

    “I think he’s the Pope’s brother.”

    “You’re cute.”

“Pets are so cute too. Look at them!”

“There’s a rice cake on top of a huge black bean. It’s really cute…”

A lot of attention from all around.

Not only was Siyeon cute but Beth and Snow White riding on top of Beth were enough to monopolize everyone’s attention.

It was definitely cute even to me.

I don’t know how many people would find those two cute even after knowing their true identities but their visuals were truly overwhelming.

I said waving my hand lightly at those looking at our group.

“My younger sibling is very shy. Instead you can take pictures of the animals. Please take lots of pictures.”

Then Beth and Snow White looked at me at the same time.

“Why don’t we ask our doctor?”

-I agree with that. Why don’t we get permission?

I answered those words with a sly smile.

“Then from now on every time you eat a meal or snack you’ll have to ask my permission.”

“…um. I was just curious so I asked.”

    -Me too.

“If you get a meal you should at least pay for it. It’s not like you’ll get tired of taking pictures right?”

Looking at the hot response I think it would be okay to film a YouTube video with these guys.

I also wanted to try filming a pet vlog video sometime in the past.

I need to have a serious talk with Inwook later.

A cat and a dog who look like they go well together.

The only people who know that these guys are Shinsoo and Behemoth are the executives of our church.

    “That’s okay too.”

It was a demonstration of being embarrassed by people’s attention but that didn’t mean he looked displeased.

“It’s always nice to walk with you.”

    Siyeon smiling brightly.

I couldn’t help but feel sorry towards such a demonstration.

I even promised to spend more time with you but I’ve been busy lately.

I wonder if my parents who both worked when I was young felt this way.

“I’ll take more care of you.”

At my words Siyeon slowly shook her head. Then she gently grabbed my hand with her small hand.

“I’m happy just now. My family has grown so much right? It’s all thanks to you oppa.”

How can you speak so wonderfully?

Siyeon nodded bravely and walked forward briskly again.

And I followed the demonstration with a smile.

The walk continued in a somewhat noisy atmosphere.

It seemed more like a fan meeting than a walk.

How much time has passed like that?

    “master.”

    -Snow White. Protect Siyeon.

The two animals that had been walking confidently forward stopped. And in an instant they each raised their spirits and looked ahead.

I followed the guys slowly bringing my gaze forward and letting out a deep sigh.

    “Uninvited guests keep coming today.”

A guest who cannot even be compared to the illegal protesters who showed up in the morning.

    -The Pope. From that guy….

    “I know.”

A girl was slowly approaching from afar.

I felt a divine power from her that was different in essence from ours yet extremely vast and pure.

It was very easy to figure out where the other guy belonged.

    Baek Myeong-gyo.

“It seems like he’s not just any ordinary guy but someone at the top level.”

A giant that cannot even be compared to the pyramids we have faced so far.

I frowned as I looked at the girl.

    “…I really need some rest.”

    please.

    Our Pope please stop this
