Episode 126
39. The Young Saint
1.
My original plan was for Seungwoo and I to go visit the hospital.
But as always there are always variables in my plans. Like Luna Luna Luna Luna.
“Your Majesty it’s basic to bring a drink when visiting someone in the hospital. What would you have done without me?”
“Even if I bring drinks wouldn’t it be fatal to the patient’s body to take you with me?”
“My looks are fatal. Have you seen the comments on my YouTube channel? They are just my looks…”
“It’s definitely lethal. If you put a hypotensive patient next to you they’ll quickly become hypertensive. I guarantee it.”
I sighed as I looked at Luna who was holding a box of soda bottles in her hand next to me.
This is Korea University Hospital located in Guro-gu.
It was the very place I had protected from the early undead that had returned to Earth.
Seungwoo’s friend’s father was said to be hospitalized here and when he arrived here after a long time something very disconcerting was happening.
“So that’s it now…..”
“I heard it happened a week ago. What is it? Limotjuk? The cafe members pooled their money to order it? You don’t watch the official remen these days do you? There’s a video posted there too.”
“If Limen sees it he will cry…”
“I’m sure Limen-sama would be very pleased. It’s proof that the popularity of the first apostle he appointed is increasing day by day.”
“Let’s stop talking.”
I couldn’t help but sigh as I looked at the statue standing tall in front of the hospital.
A full-body statue of a man in priestly attire. Eight wings were positioned on the back of the statue and both hands were clasped together spreading a sense of ‘sacredness’ in all directions.
As a bonus there were top-grade sacred stones embedded all over the body some of which had been stolen at some unknown time.
『A small tribute to Pope Kim Si-woo of the Rimen Order the savior of countless lives』
The fact that the above sentence was written below was a bonus. And below that the groups that participated in the production of the full-body statue were listed in small size.
“Place sponsored by Korea University Guro Hospital Limotjuk Official Limen Kim Seong-ah…. Who is this Kim Seong-ah?”
“Oh that’s His Holiness’ fan club. Kim Si Woo’s Holy Children.”
“…So the hospital gave permission to place the full-body scanner here?”

“Of course. I heard they welcomed me with open arms.”
My head felt dizzy perhaps because I encountered my own clone in an unexpected place.
Moreover it wasn’t just an ordinary full-body statue but one with eight wings growing out of its back.
“You look great Pope!”
“…Thank you Seungwoo.”
“Someday I will definitely erect a full-body statue of the Pope and a statue of Limen somewhere else!”
I smiled bitterly as I listened to Seungwoo’s lively voice.
The scale of the surprise gift was so large that it only elicited laughter.
While I was blankly staring at the statue several citizens approached it.
“Wow is this Kim Si-woo’s full body statue?”
“I came all the way from Busan to take this picture. Don’t they make things like this in Busan?”
“If you really made it I would clean it and caress it every day.”
“Let’s just spit it out and go. Isn’t that okay?”
“After seeing this going to the Limen Church Holy Land is the full course.”
“I feel filled with faith.”
People taking pictures with the full-body statue in the background and people praying with their hands clasped together.
As I watched the citizens do various things to my full-body statue I couldn’t help but feel blushing.
“Your Majesty you seem embarrassed. Why don’t you go and sign it?”
“We came to visit you. Let’s go in quietly. Don’t you know that quiet is a given in a hospital?”
I gave Luna a quick slap and quickly entered the hospital.
I’m glad you came in casual clothes.
If I had come wearing priest’s attire I would have suddenly held a fan signing event.
By the way you wouldn’t have been able to obtain it unless you were a member of the highest-level sacred stone sect that was embedded in the whole body.
I think there’s a culprit inside. I’ll have to take the time to look for it later.
anyway.
That was when I quietly entered the hospital entrance.
“Seungwoo do you know where the hospital room is?”
“Yes! The teacher said…”
Just as I was about to leave the hospital room with Seungwoo
“Pope Kim Si-woo?”
A man who had been quietly drinking coffee while sitting on a chair at the entrance suddenly stood up and said.
Judging by the staff ID hanging around the man’s neck he appeared to be a hospital employee.
Even though I was wearing a mask they recognized me at a glance.
In this situation it is something that cannot be simply ignored.
I waved my hand lightly at the man who was staring blankly at me.
“Haha… Nice to meet you. The weather is nice. Isn’t it?”
“Please wait just a moment just a moment!”

The man quickly took his smartphone out of his pocket and made a quick call to someone.
And after a while.
“Director? Pope Kim Si-woo has arrived at the entrance on the first floor. Yes yes. Really? Report to the hospital director quickly… Oh he’s with us right now? Yes yes. Understood. Yes! I will serve him with all my heart!”
As the man’s voice continued Luna who was standing behind him clapped her hands slightly and spoke.
“As expected a superstar.”
“…shut up.”
“I told you masks aren’t enough?”
Luna was amazing at fanning a burning house.
I smiled bitterly as I looked at a group of people running at full speed from a distance.
Two men in suits and one man in a doctor’s gown.
“The hospital director is on his way in a hurry. Please wait a moment! The hospital director said he will come and get you personally.”
“We just came to visit you.”
“Is there anything I can’t do for the benefactor who saved the hospital and the patients?”
Today was another quiet day for me.
Use it.
2.
“Patient Jeong Seung-heon is hospitalized with symptoms of acute magic poisoning. It is one of the most common symptoms among hunters but in this patient’s case his right leg is….”
The hospital director started briefing the patients even though I didn’t ask him to.
Seungwoo’s friend’s father Jeong Seung-heon.
According to the hospital director magic addiction is one of the most common injuries that occur during raids.
A phenomenon where one becomes addicted to the magical power flowing out of gates or dungeons.
“Magic addiction is not covered by insurance so treatment costs tend to be high. Large guilds have their own support measures but hunters from small and medium-sized guilds have no choice but to shoulder the entire cost of treatment.”
“I heard the story.”
I also remember that Seungwoo’s father Jin Seojun was unable to receive treatment because of the expensive treatment costs.
Seungwoo may have come here because he remembers that fact too.
Mutual sympathy.
Only someone who has experienced that suffering can truly understand the feelings of someone in the same situation.
I walked forward slowly while lightly patting Seungwoo’s head.
“However one encouraging thing is that the current government is preparing a separate public insurance for the awakened. Our hospital has also expressed a strong opinion to participate.”
“Is it okay for the hospital director to say something like that? Usually a hospital director doesn’t do things that are detrimental to the hospital right?”
The hospital director answered my question with a gentle smile.
“I was there at the scene.”
“That scene?”
“This is the scene where the Pope was purifying our hospital our patients and even this area. I am not so foolish as to not realize it even after seeing it. Ah we have arrived. This is the place.”
The hospital director stopped in front of a hospital room with a friendly smile.
It was a double room with one empty seat.
I looked at the door of the hospital room and then quietly asked the hospital director.
“Is it okay if we can help the patient in some way?”
The hospital director quickly understood the meaning of my question. Then he smiled and nodded.
“Rather I think we should be asking for your help. This is a patient who cannot be completely cured with modern medicine. Please take good care of him.”
At first I was worried about what I would do if he followed me into the hospital room running out of breath.
But surprisingly the hospital director seemed to be a person who knew how to keep the line.
I gave the hospital director a sly smile and then took Luna and Seungwoo into the hospital room.
Inside a double room with a humidifier that was broken.
A man was lying on the bed and next to him sat a woman with a worried expression.
As soon as she saw us entering the hospital room she stood up from her seat and Seungwoo greeted her politely.
“Hello my name is Jin Seung-woo Seo-jun’s friend.”
“Oh you’re the friend who called me this morning? Come on in. Thank you so much for coming. I’m Seojun’s mom.”
“I… this.”
Seungwoo handed her a box containing drinks.
“I heard that you shouldn’t come empty-handed when visiting a sick person.”
“That’s amazing. I’ll eat well.”
She took the box of drinks and smiled weakly. This time she looked at me and Luna and said.
“Are you the guardians? Maybe Seungwoo’s parents….”
“Absolutely not.”
Misunderstandings need to be resolved quickly.
I took off my mask slowly.
“I am Kim Si-woo of the Limen Church. Since Seung-woo wanted to visit the sick I came with him as his guardian. This is Luna Reventon the leader of the Knights of our church.”
“Nice to meet you Seojun’s mother. My name is Luna Reventon. You can call me Miss Luna.”
“Uh… huh?”
She was silent for a while.
That meant that our visit had been embarrassing. I cautiously continued speaking to her who was wide-eyed and surprised.
“Our Seungwoo is one of the most precious treasures of the Limen Sect. I should have told you in advance but I’m sorry.”
“Oh no. I just thought it was too sudden…”
I glanced at Jeong Seung-heon who was lying on the bed.
Just by looking at the fact that he couldn’t wake up even when guests arrived you could tell that his physical condition wasn’t very good.
And more than anything what caught my eye was the magical power that I had heard about in the hospital director’s briefing specifically the area around my right calf.
There were even traces of suture surgery indicating that it had been pierced by something.
– Recovery is progressing too slowly. In the worst case scenario we are considering amputation of the leg.
After seeing the condition for myself I was able to more or less understand the hospital director’s briefing.
The body’s natural healing ability was greatly reduced due to excessive magical energy concentrated in the affected area.
This was a phenomenon that usually occurred when one was pierced by a weapon containing concentrated magical power.
It was also an injury that could be quickly cured by removing the magical power around the wound. This kind of injury was a problem that could be easily solved by inviting a skilled magician even if he was not a priest.
However it is unlikely that skilled magicians will readily step forward for people they have never met.
“When we first met… I know this may be an extremely rude and shameless request but… Is it possible that the Pope would like to meet this person….”
Seojun’s mother looked at me with an earnest expression.
And I smiled softly at her and said
“It’s neither rude nor shameless. This is why we came.”
“…yes?”
“But it is not I who should be thanking you today Mother.”
I patted Seungwoo on the back. Then Seungwoo carefully stepped forward.
“Seungwoo can you do it?”
“Yes. Archbishop Lapart and Archbishop Leo taught me well. I can do it.”
Pure divine power began to flow out of Seungwoo’s body.
It was a divine power that resembled Seungwoo white and beautiful.
Seungwoo gathered his divine power in both hands and slowly approached Jeong Seungheon.
Then he carefully placed his hand on the wound wrapped in a bandage and gently closed his eyes.
“Let’s get started.”
After a while.
“oh.”
An exclamation escaped my mouth.
Our Pope please stop this
