Chapter 45 – Value – Northern School Tomb Raider’s Notes
by Jessie@AFNCCSister Hong’s voice came from the darkness: “Yunfeng, where are you, I’m here.”
I blushed too much to answer back.
I crouched in place, clutching the amulet tightly in my hand and burying my head between my knees.
The ground was damp and foggy, and I felt more than cold and scared.
And lonely.
Our gang had come so far that I was the only one left alone. I regretted not listening to Yao Yumen’s and Handlehead’s warnings.
I sat alone and scared on the turf, hungry and cold, and without realizing it, I thought of Li Jing.
I laughed at myself in my heart: “If I suddenly disappeared, if I died here, years later, would Li Jing still remember me as a person, would she still remember me, Xiang Yunfeng?”
Thinking about these things.
It was light.
From nowhere, a breeze blew through the fog.
At this point.
I saw at a glance, two to three hundred meters away on the turf, Sister Hong was lying on the ground stretching like she had just woken up.
“Sister Hong!”
I flew down the road, slipping and falling in the middle of it.
She heard me and looked toward me.
“You’re not dead! Great!”
Sister Hong looked at me with a happy face and said breathlessly, “Last night the fog was so heavy that it was practically impossible to move an inch, you couldn’t see it at all, you could only determine the approximate location, and I didn’t dare to walk around for fear that I would get separated from you, Yunfeng.”
It’s good that people are okay.
I breathed a sigh of relief and asked, “Sister Hong, did you hear me calling you last night? Did you call me back?”
She looked up at me with a surprised expression : “No, I didn’t hear anything, much less speak, what’s wrong?”
Sister Hong didn’t have to lie to me. If she said she didn’t talk back to me, then she didn’t talk back to me.
And who was that voice in the fog last night?
The more I think about it, the more I’m afraid, and my hands are shaking.
“Why do you look so ugly?” Sister Hong asked with a frown.
“No …… nothing.”
I deliberately digress, “You went looking for something you could eat, did you find it?”
Red shook her head with some disappointment, “No, the neighborhood is full of grass and trees, I didn’t find anything to eat.”
“It’s okay Sister Hong, it’s good that people are okay, not eating for a day or two won’t starve people.”
“Well, try to hold on.”
After recovering a bit of strength and associating it with that scene last night, I was getting less and less favorable to this place, it felt evil, and we decided to get out of here as soon as we put our heads together.
Going up.
Hanging the Gaw Box amulet around my neck, I valued the amulet a few times more.
