Necromancer Academy’s Genius Summoner – 515
by Jessie@AFNCC
Episode 515
Thousands of meters above sea level.
Sierra’s famous sky stadium built on clouds.
There is no ground. Rock pillars barely wide enough for one person to crouch down on stood tall and Simon and Zetsu were standing on them one by one.
Simon wearing a barrier suit was warming up by lightly moving his arms. The Jets were leisurely waving their hands or winking towards the audience.
“Simeon! Don’t lose!”
For some reason I thought I could hear cheering from the opponent’s home ground and Benz and Arland’s transfer students were sitting in the front row.
Benz in particular was so enthusiastic that the veins on his neck were visible.
“You already beat me so catch Sierra faster than me! You know what I mean? Don’t look at me but hit me with force! It means press down!”
Although the glares from Sierra students were stinging Benz did not feel intimidated and raised his voice. Simon chuckled and waved his hand toward Benz.
Softly softly-
At that time a purple butterfly flew next to Simon.
‘It’s Professor Jane’s black magic.’
A magic circle was drawn on the butterfly and Jane’s voice came out of it.
[Listen student council president. The opponent will somehow try to use this stadium to win.]
“Yes Professor.”
[The stepping stone will soon be removed by the opponent’s attack. Before that it would be effective to prepare flying techniques and take advantage of the terrain that the opponent believed in to catch them off guard.]
Take advantage of the terrain.
Simon got the hang of it right away.
“I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks for the advice!”
After finishing what she had to say Jane’s butterflies dispersed into the air and disappeared. Simon turned his head and looked at Zetsu.
[Now let’s start the match between Sierra’s representative Zetz Simerat and Kizen’s student council president Simon Pollentia!]
The referee for this game heard the whistle.
[The game begins!]
Bleep!
As soon as the whistle sounded Simon and Zetsu simultaneously lowered their posture and prepared black magic.

Due to the characteristics of the stadium it is impossible to make a surprise attack with a magic weapon etc.
Both sides were given time and had to acquire a means of flight that was independent of the terrain before the other.
‘According to the royal guard.’
Simon observed the Zetsu side while preparing the SS magic circle. As expected he was preparing flying black magic.
A large magic circle was spread out in the air and three auxiliary magic circles were floated next to it and the formula was being assembled at an amazing speed.
“Waaah!”
“fast!”
Sierra students shouted excitedly.
“I must have practiced just that magic circle for a while.”
“It’s disgusting.”
Aland transfer students grumbled.
Zetsu completed the flying magic circle in an instant and attached it to his back. Jet-black wings unfolded behind its back and flapped up and down.
[Zetz came out first!]
The narrator student got excited and put his legs up on the chair in front of him.
[As expected Jets! Only the necromancer who controls the sky can rule this ‘Sky Stadium’! Wouldn’t it be okay to say that we won 70% of the game with this?]
“Turn off the biased commentary!”
Benz protested but it was easily drowned out by the cheers of Sierra students.
‘hmm.’
Simon raised his head without wavering preparing the ‘SS’. Zetsu flew into the sky and spread his palms in triumph.
Good luck!
Grumble!
A green flame erupted from the palm of my hand.
This is not the ‘dark flare’ you often see. Looking at the shape and color of the flames it looks like the jet black flame system of the remake or the original.
“Simon I don’t know what kind of magic you are preparing.”
Zetsu raised his arms.
“It would be easier to give up!”
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
A flaming shell containing powerful firepower flew out. Simon diverted his attention from the SS magic circle where he was concentrating 100% and then flew up with his feet in the pitch black.
Wow!
The cannonball of flame broke the back of the rock pillar that Simon was standing on. The top of the pillar tilted and fell into the clouds below.
Before that Simon who had safely passed to the next pillar wiped away his sweat. An excited voice of commentary could be heard from the side.
[Our Jets push hard right from the start! As expected Sierra’s second year has the best firepower!]
Zetsu’s flame shells flew one after another destroying the pillar Simon had stepped on. Simon stepped on the pitch black and flew into the air again.
‘Far away!’
The distance between rock pillars was random. Previously stepping in pitch black was enough but this time the distance was quite far.
Simon stretched out his index finger.
<Cloud>

The blue-green line stretched out and clung to the waist of the rock pillar. Simon grabbed it with both hands put his legs forward and flew away.
Grumble!
Good luck!
As I moved along holding the line I easily dodged the Zetsu fire cannonballs that were chasing me. Shouts of surprise erupted from everywhere.
“Utcha.”
Simon safely reached the pillar on the other side.
“It’s pretty good! Let’s see how long I can avoid it!”
The Jets sparked fire again and accelerated their offensive.
What followed was a repeated onslaught of Simon and Zetsu running away. As a transfer student who overcame a competition rate of hundreds to one the Jets were showing off considerable firepower.
[Ah – Kizen’s student council president! Let alone preparing for high-level black magic they seem to be busy avoiding it!]
Zetsu not only attacked Simon with flame shells but also did not forget to destroy the rock pillars to reduce the stepping stones.
Wow!
But Simon’s evasion was also amazing. By freely using the cloud rope he was able to move pillars from place to place and easily climbed up sloping terrain with just the power of his two feet.
‘……He has monster-like stamina.’
Zetsu’s expression hardened slightly.
If there was this much pressure there should have been some kind of reaction but Simon still wasn’t even out of breath. He was steadily gaining time based on a solid matu.
“Zetz! be careful!”
The Jets’ gaze turned back at the shouts from the audience. Simon who was running away by connecting to the cloud suddenly jumped out from behind.
‘The centrifugal force of the string has returned…!’
Simon grinned and waved his arms.
As the Bone Spear made of skeletons was fired Zetsu hastily took defensive action.
Wow!
The green light spread out like a wall blocking the Bone Spear. The bone spear that bounced off disintegrated into numerous bones and returned quickly covering Simon’s right arm.
<Bone Armor – Handgun Mode>
This time bone bullets were fired one after another from the launcher. Zetsu nimbly flew upward and several bone bullets narrowly grazed his body.
‘In the midst of this you’re even thinking of counterattacking!’
Zetsu opened his mouth and laughed.
“It’s only fun when it comes out like that! Keygen’s student council president!”
After adapting to the terrain and environment Simon was no longer consistent with avoidance. He dodged everything with Cloud and Matu and attached his undead to each rock wall.
Zetsu who was walking around the battlefield with jet-black wings had to avoid attacks from zombies on the rock wall or arrows from a skeleton archer on another pillar.
In this situation we could not attack unilaterally like before. I was worried about Simon’s counterattack so I became cautious in my movements.
‘There it is!’
As Zetsu discovered Simon’s back and was about to unleash a fire cannonball a skeleton archer’s arrow came flying from the side.
‘Ugh!’
Zetsu narrowly escaped by breaking his neck. Meanwhile Simon hid behind a pillar.
‘How can you not make a single mistake!’
If you take one wrong step if the cloud shakes if the skeleton’s position changes.
It was a Jets victory.
But Simon was doing well in that delicate tug-of-war.
Monstrous concentration.
Solid physical strength to support it.
And it was an impossible feat unless one had extensive experience.
The game which was thought to be one-sided is turning out strangely.
“Hehe! What Professor Jane said was not a lie.”
In the VIP section of the stadium Sierra’s president and Jane were standing side by side watching the game. Sierra’s rector brushed the stubble from his chin.
“I thought you would safely bring in a 3rd year student but there was a reason why you were pushed to become the 2nd year student council president.”
Jane looked back at him with an expressionless face.
“bet. You probably didn’t forget right?”
“Of course!”
President Sierra’s face still showed composure.
“You’d think it would be in their favor as time passes but the Jets’ backs won’t be easy either!”
* * *
‘Where did this kid disappear to again?’
Zetsu was flapping his jet black wings and searching the surroundings. Simon was hidden in a blind spot behind a pillar and could not be seen.
I think you will have to look down from above to find it.
The moment when Zetsu having made that decision flies higher into the air.
Sreung!
An emerald flash of light curved like a comet and approached.
‘Quick!’
Zetsu quickly spread the flames like a shield but the bluish-green sword light cut them cleanly. The person who came through the gap was a skeleton with a flying cape.
Puzzle!
The skeleton struck Zetsu with a sword strike and passed by. The green barrier gauge blinked orange and instantly decreased by almost half.
‘A flying skeleton?’
As Zetsu quickly increased altitude six emerald comets followed as if they had been waiting. They were all skeletons.
“Shit!”
Zetsu cursed and activated the black magic he had been saving. Flames spread out in a circle from the entire body deflecting the attack.
“Zetz! be careful!”
“Zetsuuuu!”
Even without the crowd making noise I could feel an enormous presence coming from behind.
<Simon Original – SS Flight Mode>
Simon was flying through the sky wearing bone armor made from a shiny turquoise skeleton.
A rush accelerated to its limit.
It cannot be blocked with a flame shield. Zetsu quickly took out the sword on his waist.
Kaaaaaaaaaa!
The cyan and white lights collided creating strong wind pressure. Students in the stands screamed and lowered their bodies.
Ga-ga-ga-ga-gak!
The two swords held against each other engaged in a tense tug-of-war. Simon holding the SS sword was seen grinning.
“Ugh! Can you even fly with that skill!”
“of course.”
Zetsu once again cast the overload magic on his body and drew three magic circles of flame shells in a row around him.
Simon who saw the magic circle pushed away Zetsu’s sword and retreated and immediately three completed fire shells rained down on him.
Slurp!
Simon swung the SS sword beautifully. The bluish-green sword light created three afterimages and the flame shells were cut off and scattered in the air.
‘Even swordsmanship!’
Zetsu stepped back feeling cold and Simon smiled calmly.
“Got it.”
Kazak!
Zetsu frowned at the pain rising from his back. One of the SS troops flying in from behind cut off his right wing.
‘I got scolded!’
You can’t fly with just one wing. Zetsu’s body lost its balance and began to tilt.
‘Keuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu calm down! Calm down! Once you land buy some time and repair the wings in the meantime…!’
however.
Simon was not the kind of person who would leave the repairs unattended.
“Corpse explosion.”
As soon as Simon clenched his fists a deafening explosion of noise erupted from all directions.
The rock pillars around us were falling like dominoes.
‘No way this bastard!’
Zetsu looked dizzy as he watched the nearby stepping stones disappear in real time.
‘Draw a picture like this from the beginning and draw the undead!’
Belatedly I remembered the zombies that Simon had left on the rock wall.
I was hit.
Perfectly.
‘I am in this stadium in the sky…!’
The Zetsu with only one wing left crashed along with the collapsing pillar.
