    Episode 457

Simon and the student council members opened the bag of snacks they had bought at the canteen and started chatting excitedly.

Simon thought that his first impression of department life was not that bad perhaps because the mild-mannered Leonard was the department representative but the other three people thought differently.

“You’re one year older than us right? They’re really old guys!”

    Meilin turned up the heat.

“Definitely do this! Do it like that! Even if you’re eating if seniors come to you you all have to stand up and bow your head. If there are seniors in the shower room you can’t even go in and have to wait in silence. What’s the difference if we all just share the room? What is all this going on in the meritocratic Keygen?”

“I’ll probably be disciplined for a few days.”

    D i c k tapped my shoulder in a tired voice.

“This year’s third graders seem to have a bit of a sense of entitlement. Our second year students are evaluated as the best players of all time. They will try to use this opportunity to discourage you.”

“that’s right! And the reason for bullying is really ridiculous!”

Meilin’s breathing became rough as she poured out her anger.

“What manners should be observed between seniors and juniors? What manners do they show us? To put it bluntly we suffered from it too so you should experience it too. You can clearly see that this is the mindset!”

    “But still.”

    Camivarez wiggled his fingers.

    “……There were some good seniors.”

“Ah yes. Of course it is!”

Maylin also blushed and sat down probably realizing that she was too excited.

“You can’t blindly pretend to be with third-year seniors.”

    Simon moderated the overheated atmosphere.

“As D i c k said let’s pay more attention to the first few weeks. If it doesn’t get better over time our student council will have to mediate.”

“Hehe! Simon you won’t say things like that in a while.”

D i c k let out a dark laugh and tapped Simon on the shoulder.

“I heard that the summoning department’s hazing ceremony is famous for being so intense.”

    “okay?”

“The Summoning Department and the Deadly Poison Department are the top two.”

D i c k stuck out his tongue and pretended to slit his own throat. I don’t know what it is but it seemed to mean that it was painful to the point of death.

    “Ha it’s a good thing we’re a student council!”

Meilin raised the corners of her mouth and said.

“If it ends late isn’t there a possibility of hazing?”

    Camivarez also smiled slightly.

“People around me were jealous because I heard that I was also going to work for the student council. Everyone had a bad look on their faces because they were worried about hazing.”

“Hey hey Simon! Are we going to stay here for a long time? Let’s go as late as possible! As much as possible!”

“Haha you guys take care of that.”

Simon was worried about Toto who was left alone in the department so he planned to attend the department welcome party even if it was late.

    dripping.

There was a knocking sound. When Simon asked him to come in the servant who guided Simon earlier entered the room.

“Preparations are all complete. I will take you to the student council room.”

    Meylin screamed with joy.

    “Finally going!”

    * * *

The top floor of the 2-story student center building on campus.

Simon and the student council members were walking briskly down a glass-covered hallway.

    “pretty.”

Meilin looked ecstatic as she looked at the second-year campus with the street lights on.

The student center building was located in the center of campus so the night view was beautiful no matter where you looked. I thought it would be good to observe what the students were doing during the day.

“Now I will pass by this road every time! I love it so much!”

Camivarez jumped up and down with a face full of excitement.

    “This way.”

A minion guided the four people to a room at the end of the hallway.

It was a rather loud door that was opened by pulling two doorknobs to the left and right and in the center was a large name plate that said ‘Student Council Room’.

    My heart was pounding.

Simon straightened his collar and adjusted his tie as if performing an important ceremony then forcefully opened the door to the student council room.

    “Wow!”

An exclamation erupted from the members following.

The first thing I saw upon entering was the large glass window with the moonlight streaming down. One side of the front wall was entirely made of glass.

With your back to the glass window you can see a large colorful wooden table stretched out to the side. In the center is a luxurious chair with a high back.

Simon realized that the table was his seat.

    “Student President Simon Pollentia”

That’s because there was a plaque with his name on it. Next to it is a mana stand and a flower pot.

“Wow it’s cool Simon! It’s just the chairman’s position!”

    D i c k chuckled and wrapped his arms around Simon’s neck.

“In that position you turn your chair around and look out the window and when someone comes you turn around and scream ‘Are they here?’ Doing it is the way to go!”

“Stop talking nonsense commoner. Rather where are we?”

    “I guess it’s there!”

Two long tables installed in the student council president’s seat. This was the seat of other executives.

There are two tables next to each other so two people can sit on the right and two on the left. It was structured so that students could face each other centered around the student council president.

And in the center of the student council room there was a soft sofa where you could rest comfortably.

D i c k sat down on the sofa and enjoyed the comfortable cushions.

“Kids! This is all really really expensive!”

Meilin opened the shelf and took out snacks and tea. Even the kettle and teacups were extremely luxurious.

“Just in case it’s Meilin let’s start with food… 100 million!”

Maylin threw the sofa cushion at D i c k and looked towards the minion.

“Can we eat all of this?”

“Of course. It’s originally for entertaining guests but we fill it up when it’s empty.”

There was even a magic circle that could boil water when a kettle was placed and even a magic circle that could find the book you wanted.

It felt like a dream that this would be our hideout from now on.

    C’mon!

Camivarez was pulling back the curtains behind him. The curtain opens to reveal the large window behind Simon’s student council president’s chair and beyond that the night view of the campus is visible.

    “It’s really pretty!”

Simon also spoke after looking at the scenery of the Kizen campus for a while.

“Would you like to sit in the student council president’s seat? Kami.”

    “yes?”

She rolled her eyes as if she was surprised.

    “Can I sit down?”

    “What do you think?”

At Simon’s recommendation she carefully sat down in the student council president’s seat. But the chair was too big for her size.

She said lowering her eyes as if she were embarrassed.

    “how is it?”

Before Simon could respond Meilin screamed from behind.

    “Kyaaaa! So cute Kami!”

    D i c k giggled.

“What is this? Does it feel like the chair a mother puts her babies in?

    “No please don’t tease me!”

Camivarez whose face was red screamed and the three people laughed loudly.

“Then Simon sit down now. It’s your seat.”

    “okay.”

Camivarez stepped aside and Simon sat down in the student council president’s seat.

    “Hey just strike a pose!”

The chair was very big even for Simon but I leaned back against the backrest crossed my legs and rested my chin on the armrest with my elbows.

    “Feel like this?”

    “…….”

    There was silence for a moment. D i c k let out a laugh.

“The pose is a bit cringy but honestly it suits me well. Isn’t it?”

Meyrin and Camivarez had no answer.

First of all the angle of the moonlight was just right.

The sad silver moonlight met Simon’s blue hair creating a mysterious shine and what can I say about Simon’s appearance wearing a black Kizen school uniform sitting in a large seat and smiling with confidence.

I couldn’t take my eyes off it.

    “Hmm.”

Simon overcome with belated embarrassment quickly stood up. After a photo of me riding on top of Deimos on the Parona Peninsula was published in an article I became wary of such arrogant poses.

    ‘They’re cute.’

The servant who had been watching with satisfaction the children making all kinds of fuss in just the student council president’s office turned around when he heard the sound of footsteps.

“ah! Everyone the professor in charge of the student council is coming.”

The four people who heard those words tensed up and stood at attention. The servant turned his posture placed both hands on his belly button and bent his back.

‘The professor in charge of the student council?’

    ‘Who are you?’

Everyone looked at the door nervously. A woman appeared through the door of the student council with the sound of light footsteps hitting the floor.

The faces of the four people who were very nervous instantly changed to bright joy.

    “Professor Jane!”

Jane gestured to the lowered servant and walked in with calm steps.

“I see this again. I am the professor in charge of Keygen’s student council.”

Jane looked at the four students with a faint smile that was difficult to recognize.

“It’s been a while everyone. The bad boys of Class A.”

    “I’m a professor!”

Maylin made a dolphin sound of joy and D i c k laughed and whispered to Simon.

“ya! It was natural that the student council was strong with Vice President Professor Jane behind it!”

First we decided to sit on the sofa and talk. Jane sat at the head of the table and the remaining student council members took turns.

    “The story has been delivered.”

Jane said taking out documents from her bag.

“Even the details of the transaction between Phantasus and Azel.”

Simon’s expression hardened slightly. Do professors need to know this?

“The Student Council is an autonomous organization representing students and the principle is for professors to not interfere as much as possible. If the former student council president decided that way I have no complaints.”

It was Jane who spoke eloquently as if she had read Simon’s mind.

Next she was looking at the composition of the members.

“Simon is the president and Maylin is the vice president. It’s not a bad combination. And the clerk is a meticulous Camibarez. I feel relieved because everyone knows about my performance in Class A. but.”

D i c k whose turn it was looked on with an expectant face.

    “I’m a little worried about you. D i c k Hayward.”

    “Why me again!”

    Hahahaha!

Everyone burst into bitter laughter. Jane flipped through the papers.

    “Of course I know D i c k Hayward’s abilities well.”

    “!”

“Still if a member of the student council is expelled in the middle of the second year there is nothing more damaging to the entire student council. Please make sure to follow the classes faithfully this year.”

    A mischievous smile escaped D i c k’s lips.

“Of course I wear it! professor!”

    Grumble.

At that moment minions came into the student council room pushing a cart. I put the tea down under Jane and the four of us. Simple snacks were placed in the center.

Simon who took a sip of tea was impressed.

    ‘Wow it’s mouth-wateringly delicious!’

This is what Meilin meant by ‘high-end’. There were a lot of teas like this on the shelves in the student council room so I thought I would have fun eating them when I came here.

Jane also drank a cup of tea and opened her mouth.

“Do you know what the student council does?”

    Simon calmly raised his hand.

“Represent students and suggest students’ agenda and demands to the school.”

    “you’re right.”

Afterwards Meilin raised her hand and said “Hey me.”

“We plan and take charge of various events on campus!”

    “that’s right.”

Camivarez hesitated and raised his hand.

“I work hard for the school’s honor by participating in external events.”

    “That’s right.”

    D i c k raised his hand.

“With the permission of the president we are involved in adjusting and increasing the school budget!”

    “yes.”

    Jane closed her eyes.

“Everything you say is correct. The student council is an organization that represents students. It has great power. However let me talk a little bit in principle.”

Sweet. She put down the teacup.

“The biggest virtues of the student council are ‘dialogue’ and ‘coordination’.”

    Dialogue and coordination.

    Simon’s eyes lit up.

“There are already countless organizations on campus in addition to your student council. Seven departments clubs student union self-governing council teachers teaching assistants servants’ league various partner companies and even the Rochester Merchants Association. Most of these people act for the benefit of their own organization.”

    She opened her palm.

“But the student council must be neutral. For the sake of the school we must negotiate with them bring them to the table of dialogue and reach an agreement.”

Everyone was paying close attention and listening to Jane.

“Of course the student council does not mean that it can freely wield power within the school.”

As Jane spoke she reached out to pick up a cookie. But the two snacks I was about to eat were suddenly gone.

She continued her story with slightly suspicious eyes.

“The organizations mentioned above are influencing every corner of the school and you must acknowledge and follow them in their areas. For example in a second grade class you are just one student. They take tests and are punished the same as everyone else and are evaluated equally. The same applies to academic life and other aspects.”

    Yum yum-

I heard the sound of snacks being eaten.

At the same time more than half of the snacks in the basket were gone. Jane said with a sigh.

    “Please come out.”

Then he put his arm under the table. Meirin and Camivarez stepped back with a startled sound.

A small girl with silver hair who was stuck under the table was eating a snack with a lot of crumbs in her mouth.

Jane’s hand held the back of her neck and it shook violently.

    “Nephthys!”

Simon shouted. Nephthys raised her hand.

    “Hello everyone!”
