Necromancer Academy’s Genius Summoner – 456
by Jessie@AFNCC
Episode 456
The structure of the Summoning Department and dormitory was quite unique.
‘How many roofs does that have?’
It was a large wooden building with a roof that rose up like the peak of a mountain range.
It feels like a large building with several rooms stuck together and there is a strange feeling about it even though I am slightly worried that it might collapse. It’s like a fairytale retreat built in the forest by a retired witch who used magic to kill her time.
As expected from the Summoning Department dormitory there were rooms made of bones and others that wriggled. There was also a large tree that broke through the roof of the dormitory building and there were small houses attached to it.
And guarding the entrance were two skeletons over 3 meters tall. The second-year students looked nervous because they were holding large halberds in their hands.
“Oh this is just an interior.”
The students passed by with internal relief at Leonard’s words.
“Whew I was scared.”
“Is this also interior?”
One student lightly touched the statue with his foot. However the statue suddenly stood up and struck the student with its front paw.
“Huh!”
“Hahahaha! That’s a real gargoyle! be careful.”
As I entered the room past the skeletons and gargoyles I was filled with warmth and the smell of tree sap. The interior of the dormitory had an extremely cozy atmosphere thanks to the orange lights hanging from the ceiling.
A gentle warmth was radiating from the two fireplaces and undead decorations worthy of the Department of Summoning were visible here and there. The monster bones hanging creakingly from the ceiling looked realistic and looked quite scary when seen at night.
There was even an aquarium on the wall.
Schools of fish with sharp teeth were running around bubbling and as soon as the seniors’ hands touched the glass of the aquarium they came rushing in and clinking their teeth.
The seniors were now playing with the fish moving their fingers as if they were used to it.
“This is the lobby.”
Leonard explained.
“Gather in the lobby. If you hear the broadcast you can come down here and gather. And this person is the dormitory manager.”
The servant sitting at the front desk in the lobby stood up and bowed his head to the students.
“You may use the lobby freely but making loud noises smoking and eating are of course prohibited.”
Leonard naturally walked sideways.
“Right next to it is the lounge.”

“Wow!”
Afterwards I looked around the lounge laundry room and shared kitchen and it was better than I expected. In fact Simon preferred a cozy home-like environment like this to other large flashy buildings.
Now Leonard took the students down to the basement.
“This is a workshop.”
Simon’s eyes brightened. This is probably the biggest facility in this accommodation.
That’s exactly how I felt when I first came to the mutant club. A variety of complex equipment was installed and various undead materials were spread out on the shelves.
“We will assign you desks one by one. And if you touch other people’s things carelessly you’ll be in big trouble so be careful. The Summoning Department is quite sensitive to things like material theft. If you want to store ingredients in the freezer be sure to write their names on them.”
Leonard gave a series of explanations.
‘I like it more and more.’
Simon was quickly becoming fascinated by this dormitory and his future life. This place 200% fulfilled the dream of a summoning student.
“Ah the musty smell of a corpse~”
Serne was the only one saying that without even noticing it. A third-year female student was seen turning around to give him a look but quickly turned her head back when she realized it was Cerne.
In addition there were several studios.
“If you lift the switch like this.”
Crash!
When Leonard entered the next workroom and pulled the lever there was a fairly strong noise and the surroundings turned blue. It feels as if water is filling up the secret room.
“……!”
The students looked around. This entire room is covered with abundant mana.
“Good? If you create a magic circle here you can get pretty good results. Of course anyone who has turned on Mana must turn it off when they leave. If you ask the seniors working on the details of how to use the mana device they will kindly tell you.”
In addition Simon and the students toured various facilities. There was a personal warehouse a cooling water system and even a place to store the captured monsters.
Although Leonard went to the bathroom and explained what the students were most looking forward to Simon’s mind was only thinking about the previous workshop.
“Okay I’ve looked around here and now I’m going to assign rooms.”
at las!
All the second graders looked nervous.
“The room is for two people. Wouldn’t it be better to just let close people decide on their own?
“yes!!”
“Yes yes. okay. If you wait a little longer here the housemaster will come.”
After explaining the dormitory Leonard took the stairs to the third floor. Second graders used rooms on the first and second floors and third graders used the third and fourth floors.
All other third graders are also moving up.
“Attention everyone.”
Hector the second-year department representative stepped forward.
Will a third-year student tapped him on the shoulder glanced at the second-year students and followed Leonard up the stairs.
“Before assigning a room I will explain the simple rules we must follow.”
Since it was a rule I thought it was something like commuting times or bathroom rules.
It was a slightly different rule.
Second year students should never go higher than the 3rd floor of the dormitory.
When you meet a senior bow down to the waist and greet them politely.

If there are seniors in your personal warehouse wait at the entrance until the seniors leave and when they leave greet them before writing.
Coolant must be filled by the second grader on duty.
If your seniors ask you to run errands follow them without a word.
etc.
From things that make sense to things that make you think ‘Why?’ It was a rule that was commonly applied between seniors and juniors.
“Simon~ Simon~”
Cerne said in a whisper.
“Don’t you feel like you smell like an old man somewhere?”
Some students let out muffled laughter. Simon gave Sernet a look and Lorraine just crossed her arms and closed her eyes as if lost in thought.
“Of course this is a rule among students not something the school stipulates to follow.”
Hector said.
“I won’t force you. But as we all know this is what academic life is like. A person who refuses to do what everyone else does is a social misfit. What could be a misfit?”
The surroundings became quiet once again.
“There will be a welcome party for students in the evening.”
Hector said looking around at the students.
“This is also the same. Participation is free but if you have the right idea in mind we hope that everyone will participate. Networking with seniors is important not only during academic life but also after graduation. It means there is no need to pretend.”
At that time I heard the sound of footsteps.
A middle-aged woman wearing loose-fitting clothes was approaching. Hector quickly retreated and returned to his seat.
“My name is Margaret the dormitory head.”
Margaret had a very strict and exacting personality.
Unlike other subordinates the housemaster was a person who had the authority to control students and assign penalty points so he was a person who had to be extremely careful while living in the dormitory.
“I will now explain the precautions.”
She greeted me one by one starting with a list of precautions.
Hector explained the rules between seniors and juniors but Housemaster Margaret spoke of standard rules for ordinary life.
Curfew penalty point regulations laundry etiquette.
In addition it was also prohibited to separate and dispose of trash and to drink alcohol or smoke cigars in the dormitory. In particular if someone secretly entered the room of the opposite sex both the room owner and the person concerned were given the maximum penalty points.
“If you just do what you have to do and rest there is no reason for the housemaster to interfere with you and give you penalty points.”
She raised her eyes.
“Please follow the rules carefully.”
“yes!”
“Now let’s start assigning rooms. Walk around freely and check the room number. You can sign this document with your desired roommate. Boys can go up the right stairs girls can go up the left stairs.”
She said that and nodded once.
“Let’s get started.”
Pababat!
As soon as those words were finished the students took off stepping into the pitch black.
As the students ran towards the stairs to get the best room the housemaster’s mouth opened like a monster.
“If you run indoors they would have given you a penalty point!!”
The students moved from running to walking all at once.
“Especially the green-haired boy who ran in the pitch black and the boy next to him please come here. This is a penalty point.”
“yes yes? already?”
“Come here.”
While the two students were left behind and trudging to the housemaster Simon quickly walked up the stairs and headed to the second floor.
“What is it?”
“I don’t think there’s anything particularly famous?”
The students who went up first said that. Simon also checked but most things were the same including the size of the room and the size of the supplied bed.
If all the rooms were there the next important thing was the roommate.
“Wait a minute student council president!!”
Simon who was looking around the room looked back in surprise. A brown-haired male student I had never seen said with a grin.
“Would you like to sleep with me? Gogo?”
I felt a little uncomfortable hearing someone I didn’t know suddenly say that. After that several more students approached.
“hey! Simon! I saw that bastard snore.”
“You’re grinding your teeth you crazy idiot!”
“Simon! No Chairman! Are you from Baldwin? I’m Baldwin too!”
The first day of second year academic life.
The friends I was close with in first year have split into different departments and are seeing each other for the first time. If you don’t have any particularly close friends one of the most reliable options is to increase your network by hanging out with celebrities.
Of course Simon the person involved was a little confused.
‘I don’t have D i c k so it doesn’t really matter who I share a room with.’
However rather than feeling burdened by the few people in front of me I felt that their approach was a bit overt.
It didn’t feel like we were just purely friends but a desire to rip something off based on my background was shining in his eyes.
Simon looked around and noticed a boy standing far behind the students holding out their hands.
He was short and dwarfed and was looking at the other students out of the corner of his eye. After hesitating and not being able to say anything he resigned himself to it and turned his back.
“Thank you for everyone’s suggestions but I’m sorry.”
Simon said.
“There’s a girl I promised to be my roommate.”
At those words the short boy who was walking back stopped. Simon also looked at him and said.
“yes. Toto?”
“!”
Toto turned his back and looked at Simon. The students around him glared at Toto as if asking if it was real.
‘What is he?’
‘The student council president is with a kid like that?’
Toto swallowed his saliva without realizing it. However the feeling that Simon chose me was greater than the pressure from the students around me.
“That’s right Simon! Have you decided where the room will be?”
Simon smiled slightly and pointed.
“How about this room here? It’s close to the stairs and looks good.”
“Yes good!”
The students around him eventually gave up their regrets and moved on. When only the two of them were left Toto said with emotion in his eyes.
“Are you really going to share a room with me?”
Simon scratched the side of his head and smiled awkwardly.
“As long as it’s okay with you.”
“Thank you so much Simon!”
“I am more grateful.”
The two went down the stairs and entered each other’s names and signatures in a room.
“By the way what about Fitzgerald?”
“When I signed my name earlier I saw that I had already booked a room with another girl.”
“Good. Let’s unpack first.”
“huh!”
* * *
The dorm room was small but cozy and nice. In particular the comfort was incomparable to freshman year.
Of course the building itself would have been better as a first-year dormitory but back then three people shared one room and now only two people were using it so the room seemed relatively large and spacious.
“Simon! You know what? Third graders have one of the biggest and best rooms to themselves!”
“I guess I should get promoted just because I want to use that room.”
“Ahaha!”
Toto was the type of person who was very shy but became talkative rapidly after becoming friends. We communicated well especially since we had overlapping interests in summonology.
As we chatted and took out and put away our belongings in subspace time flew by. It was already evening.
“Utcha.”
Simon sat down on the soft bed and gathered his thoughts.
The day was drawing to a close but there was still much to do.
I had to go to the department’s welcome party find out what happened to Bahil and go to Peer’s ruins to hear a report as a corps commander.
I thought I should just hang out at the department welcome party and then get out of the way.
“The day is already setting. I’m shaking.”
Toto who was looking out the window chattered his teeth.
“Why are you shaking?”
“Welcome party! They say their seniors make them drink a lot of alcohol make them perform talent shows and do things like hazing…”
“If you think it’s going to be hard tell your seniors and get out of it.”
“How can you say that!”
At that time a broadcast sound was heard from the hallway.
-Student President Simon Pollentia. Please come down to the lobby right now.
Simon stood up.
“huh? What’s going on?”
“I think I’m calling you because of student council work.”
“Oh I guess so.”
As Simon put on a coat over his shirt and prepared to go out Toto swallowed his envy and waved his hand.
“Have a nice trip.”
“After work I’ll stop by the welcome party even if it’s late.”
“Oh no. Stay in the student council as long as possible! Because there is nothing good about coming here for no reason. Okay?”
-Student President Simon Pollentia. Please come down to the lobby right now.
Simon smiled bitterly.
“The housemaster has an impatient personality. I’ll go and come back.”
“huh!”
Simon immediately left the room and walked down the stairs.
The housemaster was waiting in the lobby.
“Simon Pollentia student. I received a call from the school. Please go to the student center building right now.”
“What’s going on?”
“This is a convening of the student council. Please check there for details.”
Simon nodded and started walking right away. I just opened the door and came out.
“Simon Pollentia.”
Hector was waiting leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. Simon opened his mouth in surprise.
“Ah Hector. It’s been a while……”
“Forget about greetings.”
Hector got off his back and stood up.
“Are you already planning on cheating with your seniors?”
“……What are you talking about all of a sudden?”
“The third-year seniors are not pleased with the second-year student council president. If I were to leave the welcome party hosted by the seniors here under the pretext of being the student council president they would be even more unappealing.”
“…….”
Hector continued calmly.
“I understand that he will hold that position for a few months anyway and then hand it over to Senior Azel when he returns. If you look far and think about it you will be able to calculate which side it is wise to invest in.”
Simon smiled slightly.
“Whether it is a few months or a few weeks this is a responsibility given to me. I can’t pretend I didn’t hear.”
“…….”
That’s what he said but Simon thought Hector would come out more forcefully.
He was the second-year department representative and his job was to make sure all the students attended the welcome party.
but.
“Do whatever you want.”
Hector coolly turned his back and walked away.
“Instead it is up to you to take care of everything.”
Sweet!
The dormitory door was closed. Simon adjusted his collar as he looked out at the darkening garden.
‘Let’s go.’
* * *
Even though it was getting dark the second-year campus sparkled thanks to the mana-lit streetlights.
Simon arrived safely on campus and walked towards the central student union building.
“I was waiting. Student president.”
The servant waiting at the entrance lowered his head.
“Let’s go to the lounge first. Everyone is waiting.”
Simon followed him and arrived at the lighted lounge on the first floor. As I opened the door and entered I saw a familiar face.
“Ah Simon! came?”
Camivarez flapped its cute wings and welcomed Simon. Meilin and D i c k whose expressions were a bit stiff brightened up when they saw Simon.
“Are you here chairman?”
“hey! My best friend!”
When D i c k held out his fist Simon also hit it.
“hi.”
“Hehe wow. really.”
D i c k chuckled.
“Why are you all so happy to see me even though I haven’t seen you in a few hours?”
“that’s right!”
Camivarez nodded his head. Simon sat down on the sofa making a ‘Utcha’ sound.
“Starting today I’m going to start working on the student council.”
“Yes yes. I want you to sit here for a while while I clean up the student council room.”
Maylin said. Simon straightened his back and looked at his friends.
“How’s everyone’s mood in the department?”
The moment Simon brought up the topic.
“It was very very unfamiliar!”
“scared! The seniors are holding on to their weight and acting scary!”
“Ah it has a mild taste compared to Jet Black Mechanics. There are only real idiots in the Department of Deadly Reading!”
“Our section senior!”
“Listen! First listen to me!”
Torque came out like water bursting out of a blocked dam. Simon smiled bitterly.
“Tell me one by one.”
