    Episode 386

    Crack. widely.

Night was approaching. Simon lit a bonfire and was waiting for the meat to cook.

Meat from the first monster hunted in the dungeon. The sight of the outside becoming golden brown and dripping oil made me drool.

I was even hungrier because I only ate calorie bars twice a day to save money.

“I think it would be okay to spray it now.”

After lightly sprinkling the special spices given to me by Hong Peng I held the well-cooked meat in my hand and brought it to my mouth.

The visuals were plausible. It just looks like lumpy deer meat.

Simon who was hungry took a large bite.

    Mumbling.

Simon’s expression who was chewing meat became ambiguous.

    ‘Is this real meat?’

A texture I’ve never experienced before.

If I had to compare it to continental food it would be closer to the texture of chewing plump mushrooms or eggplants rather than meat. The taste was almost like there was no taste at all.

Still I ate it as a side dish to satisfy my hunger. After cooking it over a fire and sprinkling it with Hongpeng’s monster meat spices it was worth eating.

I ate six pieces of meat in an instant.

    “Something is unfortunate.”

Simon licked his lips and looked back.

Even though it is such a large monster most of its upper body is made up of its shell and most of the meat is inedible because its tendons are sticky or contaminated. Of course there were still some things that Simon’s deconstruction skills were lacking.

That’s when I walked towards the monster’s corpse wondering if there was anything else to bake.

    “uh?”

    Something caught Simon’s eyes.

What looked like a long leather strap was sticking out from between the dismantled monster’s appendages. It seems like it was in my stomach.

Simon grabbed it carefully and pulled.

This object that was dragged out was not Daum.

    “……bag?”

A bag suddenly popped out of the monster’s stomach. I quickly cut open the monster’s stomach and searched its stomach.

The stomach also contained a ‘skeleton’ believed to be the owner of the bag.

As a necromancer who specializes in corpses if I were to analyze it it was similar to a primate. The skull is large and has a clavicle a characteristic of primates.

Although they looked a little different from the humans on the continent I thought that there might be entities similar to humans in this dungeon.

    “by the way.”

Simon frowned and looked around the bag.

    “How does this remain undigested?”

Monsters that devour humans in one bite like this tend to melt even their bones with their strong gastric juices.

However there is no gastric juice in the stomach. The outside of the bag is stiff without any wet feeling.

‘No no. This is a dungeon. ‘I told you not to be bound by the continent’s common sense.’

Simon left this question aside for a moment and rummaged through his bag. A familiar object came out of it.

    ‘This!’

    It was a book.

    Locke Island.

    Main auditorium.

“Everyone you’ve been waiting a long time!”

The emcee who was frantically moving around the podium shouted while holding a loudspeaker crystal ball.

“We are taking over and preparing the next Observer video right now so please wait a moment! And today Professor Hong Peng is next to me!”

Hong Feng sitting next to me waved his hands happily.

    “Hello!”

The host’s face turned red for a moment as he looked at her.

Hong Peng was a different personality from the notorious Kizen professors and his exotic appearance and radiant health were very close to his taste.

Still the host straightened his expression like a professional.

‘Honey Nelly today too Dad runs without paying attention!’

He turned his attention to the crowd.

“I’m telling you that there have been a lot of inquiries since the first day’s broadcast! We would like to inform you that since the test is held in a dungeon there are issues with video quality and time and it is not possible to pinpoint key students and broadcast it! The dungeon is very large and vast so please understand. Now then Professor!”

    Hongfeng smiled brightly.

    “yes~”

Her hair shook. The smell of exotic spices mixed with body odor tickled the tip of the presenter’s nose.

He did his best to straighten his expression that was about to loosen.

“Please briefly explain the dungeon before the video is ready! What on earth is a dungeon?”

    “great!”

Hongpeng hurriedly got up from his chair and stood in front of the blackboard. I lightly moistened my palm with saliva grabbed a piece of chalk and drew a circle.

“This continent we live on. Many people believe that this continent is the entire world. But scholars say that in addition to this continent we are on -”

She drew circles around her that were much larger than the circles she had written as continents.

“I think there is another chieftain.”

    “aha! You mean ‘another world’!”

“yes! And there are several fragments from this other chapter.”

She drew countless small particles between ‘Continent’ and ‘Another World’ on the blackboard.

“There are so many space fragments floating around the space world. However for some reason these fragments cause distortion of geospace and create an entrance to the continent. This is the basics of the dungeon.”

“I see! I also just heard about the dungeon from people around me. This is my first time hearing an explanation like this!”

Contrary to the prejudice that she was from the grasslands and a professor of martial arts she was also knowledgeable in history and academics.

Strong beautiful and even intelligent. What on earth is this woman lacking?

“The origin of the word dungeon is due to the distortion of space in the basement of the now-fallen ancient kingdom and the monsters that lived inside devastated the palace.”

Her healthy lips move. Her hair flutters as her arms move passionately across the blackboard.

“The dungeon brings a relocation scene with a foot battle. The dungeon that our students are currently in…”

While the host was immersed in Hong Peng’s explanation and was listening with a puzzled expression a broadcaster from earlier was giving a signal to quickly hang up.

The host who saw the signal belatedly quickly came to his senses and shouted.

“ah! As you mentioned the students’ next video is ready to be shown! Let’s continue listening to the professor’s dungeon lecture next time and watch the video together first!”

    * * *

    Dungeon day 2.

Students were divided into two categories.

    “And the attack doesn’t work!”

    “What is all this?!”

Students still haven’t figured out the strategy for dungeon monsters.

    “Hey you idiot! Fly straight!”

    “Ugh yeah!”

And these are students who have learned strategy.

    Tadat!

    Ta-da-da-da-da!

Meilin happened to meet Toto a classmate of hers during this promotion exam.

    “Now! Jjintta!”

    “huh!”

When Toto gave instructions the skeletons threw the fruits in their arms into the air with all their might. Meilin stretched out her arms with eyes shining with concentration.

    <Pierce of Blizzard>

    Meilin’s specialty is precision aiming.

The accurately fired ice picks flew towards the fruit and hit the running buffalo-shaped monster.

    Pow! puck!

When the fruit hit the monster covered in ore screamed in pain. Some of the ore broke exposing bare skin.

Meirin finally took out the blazing fireball prepared in her left hand.

    <Dark Flare>

    Wow!

Her continued firepower completely roasted the monster and caused it to collapse.

    “Wow!”

Toto jumped up and down and loved it. Meilin snorted and stroked her hair.

‘…But I couldn’t even imagine it. ‘I never thought there would be a strategy like this.’

For a moment the hardships of Day 1 flashed through her mind.

I was so desperate that the monster wouldn’t fall no matter how much I beat it that I climbed a tree and trembled whenever I saw a monster and waited for it to pass by.

But after meeting Toto and learning the strategy it couldn’t be this easy. My face got hot when I thought about being up in the tree all night.

    “Am I right? lol.”

When Meilin glared at Toto who was showing off he immediately nodded and lowered his head.

“Thank you Toto for teaching me the strategy. Then I’ll just leave.”

    “Me Meilin! Let’s go together!”

    Toto quickly followed her.

Meirin growled and tried to chase away Toto who was a burden.

    “ah.”

One thing suddenly occurred to me.

“You were in the same club as Simon right?”

“Ugh yeah! I belong to the mutant club.”

“Then do you know senior Benya well?”

When the name Benya suddenly appeared Toto’s face heated up.

“Ah you know! well! ha ha ha!”

Seeing the red-faced and stuttering figure Meilin snorted ‘Hmm.’ There was a sinister smile on his lips.

“hey. Do you really like senior Benya?”

    “no!!”

Toto whose face turned red screamed.

A strong negative is a strong positive. She chuckled.

“That’s good~ Maybe you and I can become friends.”

    “Really?”

Upgraded from servant to friend? Toto raised his head expectantly.

“Well~ If you date senior Benya we can become better friends. Help me…”

As Meilin spoke up to that point Toto’s plump figure appeared in her field of vision.

Aside from the height the most important thing is that expression without self-esteem. In my head I stood next to Benya a handsome and slender second-year senior.

No matter how much I thought about it no picture came out.

“……Let’s just go our separate ways.”

    “Me Meilin! Let’s go together!”

    * * *

Meanwhile in the Keygen auditorium Meirin and Toto were seen hunting monsters with ‘Pierce of Blizzard’.

Hongpeng who was watching clapped his hands.

“Great combination! What a fantastic team play!”

    “yes?”

The host asked back in surprise.

    “Amazing team play!”

    “Ahh…! Fantastic… team play…! haha!”

    The host was sweating profusely.

“Hmm! What’s more surprising to me is that so few students figured out the strategy. professor.”

And the screen that appeared after Meilin showed a series of scenes of students running away in fear.

“Wouldn’t it be worth trying to get ore and attack monsters?”

    Hongfeng smiled.

“There is a clear difference between going into a dungeon yourself and fighting where you don’t know when you might die and seeing it as a third party’s wide field in a safe place.”

“Ahh! I see! I said something careless!”

    “More than anything.”

    Hongfeng raised his palm.

“We need to figure out the necromancers’ tendencies. There are a lot of black magic that the students learned from Keygen. It doesn’t make sense to have such great swords and treasures in your arms and go out of your way to take pictures of them with stones on the side of the road.”

    “I’m sure…! okay.”

“Of course there are also good academic competitions!”

D i c k was appearing on the screen at that moment.

On the second day he was already carrying ten ore weapons on his back and giggling. He was the first person in the entire school to figure out the strategy.

“ego! Still it seems like it’s only a matter of time before the students figure out a way to catch the monster! Then the professor sees it! Are any of the students in the video even a little closer to the dungeon?”

Hongfeng smiled as he left behind Meilin and other students who were active everywhere.

“There is not even one person.”
