    Chapter Index

Yuan Dasheng took it in a hurry, somewhat at a loss for words.

The infant was so small that it held it carefully in the palm of its hand, and from the tiny wrap it could feel the warmth of the baby, the tenderness of the infant.

    These touched its heart.

Yuan smiled and looked at Yuan Dasheng, “You like him too right? That’s great, cough cough!”

With that, Yuan Yi vomited blood.

Yuan Dasheng hurriedly raised his head and stared at Yuan Yi, calling out, his gaze full of concern.

Yuan Yi waved his hand at it and said indifferently, “It’s an old problem, it’s not like you don’t know.”

He wiped the corners of his mouth and spat out another mouthful of blood-filled spit, regardless of the severe pain coming from his body, still grinning, “Killing up from the bottom step by step and climbing up to this position now, how can you do it without paying a price?”

    “You betcha, Big Surplus.”

The ape grunted and giggled a few times, its scars all over its body the best response.

Yuan Yi stretched his arms and took a few deep breaths, “Damn it, I’ve lived this life, it’s worth it.”

Then, in a calm voice, “I did it. This child is already motherless. Hmph, this bitch still wants to carry her son with her, without her, her mother’s family’s manpower and assets are all ours!”

“I told you I’d make her regret it.”

“I said I would make them double the humiliation I received. I’m as good as my word! Big leftovers.”

The ape nodded, and his gaze toward the baby became much gentler.

Yuan Yi also looked at the baby and said, “I named him Yuan Er. Big Surplus, my life is not as long as yours.”

“If one day I am gone, let Yuan Er replace Yuan Yi and continue to accompany you.”

Yuan Er was hungry and cried out, and Yuan Dasheng squeezed the juice out of a basin-sized peach and poured it on him. As a result, Yuan Er was drenched in water.

Yuan Er was sick. Yuan Da Sheng traveled like the wind through the immortal city at night, rushed into the medical center, grabbed the pharmacist by the neck, and dragged him all the way to dart and jump, the pharmacist’s screams broke the tranquility of the moonlit night.

Yuan Er began to climb, tugging on Yuan Dasheng’s thick monkey hair as he challenged the peaks, each fall being pocketed with precision by Yuan Dasheng’s palm.

While Yuan Er gradually grows up, Yuan Yi is getting weaker and weaker every day and has been sick in bed for a long time.

    Eventually.

Yuan Yi, in the last hours of his life, said to Yuan Er, “Brat, in the future, rely on your Uncle Monkey and keep this family business for me.”

    Young Yuan Er sobbed uncontrollably.

Yuan looked to the ape and looked back, calling out, “Big leftovers! I, I…”

Yuan Dasheng followed and called out, but it was no longer like usual that he could hear Yuan Yi’s subsequent words.

Yuan Yi was lying on the bed, his eyes wide and his mouth open, no longer breathing any life.

The ape stood still, like a stone statue. It had no expression on its face, but its ears were like the nine heavens thundering and roaring.

    Rumble-!

The sound of the explosion was deafening, and the terrifying explosion was like a prehistoric beast, instantly engulfing Yuan Dasheng and Yuan Er.

Then, the explosion was blocked by the formation, and the crimson light was blinding to the extreme, completely filling the entire space of the formation.

In just a few breaths, the fire dissipated.

Those around them could once again see inside the formation.

A scorched earth, full of devastation, the once dense forest of fire persimmons had almost completely disappeared, and only a few persimmon trees, with their trunks all turned into pitch-black charcoal, still stood stubbornly.

Then the next moment, as the hot winds dispersed in all directions, the charred tree trunks crumbled apart and spilled out onto the ground.

Yuan Dasheng was half-kneeling on the ground, like a stone statue.

Yuan Er in its arms moved, and Yuan Dasheng fell to the ground with a muffled thud.

Its skin was split open, and its back was blown to the point where the white bones of its spine were visible, with no monkey hair left and pieces of its skin charred and blackened.

It closed its eyes tightly and showed its teeth. The intense pain, and the grimace of doing its best, were fixed on its face.

Yuan Er’s face was full of stupefaction, he turned his head slowly in bewilderment and looked around, then he woke up with a shudder.

He quickly checked himself and realized that he was only slightly injured.

    It’s a miracle!

Yuan Er couldn’t believe it, the moment of the explosion, he thought he was dead! I didn’t expect to be alive and well.
