    Chapter Index

Ning Clumsy was like a stone statue, maintaining this movement without moving.

Time seemed to stand still, and the atmosphere in the room was really depressing. Chen Cha only heard the sound of Ning Clumsy’s angry breathing.

It was unknown how long it took before Ning Clumsy drew back his fist and slowly turned around. It was as if he had drawn out his bones, his previous essence collapsed, and his face was filled with sadness and helplessness.

His once clear eyes were now filled with despair.

His voice became hoarse and he vocalized with difficulty, “So, Elder Chen, this matter cannot be undone, right?”

The knots in Chen Lao’s throat rolled, wanting to relieve Ning Clumsy, but he was never able to speak.

Suddenly, he drew his palm out and gave himself a couple hard slaps.

    Snap.

With all his might, he jerked his face in a huge skewed magnitude each time.

After the fight, he stood up, arched his hand at Ning Clumsy, and bowed deeply, never rising again.

Ning Clumsy took a few deep breaths, gritted his teeth, and let out a few whimpers of unknown meaning. It was like crying and hissing.

This voice was incredibly heartbreaking for Chen Cha to hear!

Then, Ning Clumsy loosened the fists that he had been clenching, took a heavy and incomparably heavy step, and slowly raised his hand, resting on Chen Cha’s forearm and lifting him up.

Only then did Chen Cha straighten up. In a short period of time, his cheeks were already visibly red and swollen.

And when Chen Cha saw Ning Clumsy, his pupils instantly shrank.

He saw the teenager’s reddened eyes and two clear tear tracks on his cheeks.

“I’ll be damned!” Chen Cha cursed himself so in his heart.

Ning Clumsy spoke, “Elder Chen doesn’t need to blame himself, although I’ve been with Elder Chen for a very short period of time, I believe that Elder Chen, you’re by no means this kind of villain!”

    “It’s done…”

“I’ll just have to accept it when it comes down to it, won’t I?”

Ning Clumsy tilted his head and sighed long and hard, taking a step back as his body stumbled and almost fell.

Chen Cha rushed forward to assist.

Chen Cha helped Ning Clumsy all the way to his seat.

For a long time thereafter, the two men were silent, sitting withered relative to each other.

Ning Clumsy had been secretly counting the time and felt that the fire was almost ready, breaking the dead silence in the room with his hoarse voice.

    “I promise.”

    Elder Chen’s heart jerked hard.

    “I promise.” Ning Clumsy added.

Chen Lao clenched his teeth in pain.

His eyes were also reddened as he raised his eyes to look at Ning Clumsy, and then he took out a jade slip from his bosom.

He placed the jade slip on the tabletop and quickly pulled out a compact cloth bag.

He placed the cloth bag next to the jade slip.

Finally, he took out a bag of spirit stones and placed the same on the table.

After doing so, he arched his hand in another deep salute to Ning Clumsy. Afterward, he no longer had the face to stay here, and without uttering a single word, he turned around and left Ning Clumsy’s residence.

Ning Clumsy was alone, and also slowed down for a long time.

He’d just gotten so into it, the intensity of it, and there were remnants of it still lingering.
