Chapter 4: Fox Friends and Dog Buddies Come to the Door (1 / 2)
by Jessie@AFNCCThe man temporarily set up a training plan to improve his physical condition.
That was… running.
Running is the simplest, almost everyone experiences it in daily life, but it’s also one of the most practical exercises.
Any kind of training requires physical fitness.
And running, persistent running, is the most direct way to enhance physical endurance.
Of course, because this body is so weak, he could only start with running to build up his stamina before moving on to other exercises.
The training ground was running around the inner perimeter of Luo Tianfu.
The man measured it, and Luo Tianfu was huge. One lap around the inner perimeter was about two kilometers.
His plan was to run five kilometers each in the morning and evening to improve his physical strength.
He wasn’t one to procrastinate, so once the plan was made, he immediately executed it.
However, the man had still overestimated this body’s physical condition. The explosive power was weak, and the endurance was even worse.
Before he could finish one lap, he was exhausted, drenched in sweat, gasping for air.
“Damn, this useless body.” Even with the man’s calm temperament, he couldn’t help but curse.
At eighteen, the prime of one’s energy, yet here he was, so weak.
But he never gave up halfway. Once he set a goal, he would see it through.
Five kilometers, no less than a meter.
If he couldn’t run, then he’d walk. If he couldn’t walk, he’d crawl.
After stumbling through two and a half laps, his legs felt like they were filled with lead, as if they weren’t his own anymore.
His clothes were soaked through with sweat.
He dragged his exhausted body back to his room, had Luo Fu order hot water, and then took a nice, long soak to relax his muscles.
By the time he came out, it was already noon, and his stomach was growling.
“Shaofu, it’s time to eat,” Luo Fu said, punctual as always, coming over to remind Luo Yi.
Although Luo Yi had gotten rid of the chef, the rules were set by Xia Zhi Lan, and he didn’t want Luo Yi to clash with her over this.
The man nodded and followed Luo Fu to the dining hall.
The dining table was already filled with food.
The man took a look, gave a slight nod, and the newly hired chef was standing by.
He picked up his chopsticks and grabbed a piece of braised pork, then suddenly asked, “Is Xia Zhi Lan not coming back for lunch?”
“Recently, the military camp is being restructured. Shaozhu Mu has been very busy these days,” Luo Fu replied.
The man nodded, putting the braised pork into his mouth.
The chef standing by looked nervous. He had heard about the morning incident where one of the chefs offended Luo Yi and got his hand chopped off.
If he didn’t cook well…
The man finished eating, nodded slightly, and said, “This chef you hired is pretty good.”
Hearing this, the chef finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The meal was indeed delicious, quite like a feast. Even someone with high standards like him couldn’t find fault with it.
After eating, the man had Luo Fu bring him a pen, and he started to write out a new nutrition plan.
This meal met his high standards for quality living, but it wasn’t suitable for his current state.
The new plan was something his instructor had made for him during his training period. It might not taste great, but it would provide all the necessary nutrition for high-intensity training.
“Old Luo, from now on, make sure my meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—are all based on this plan. You’ll personally oversee it, and there can’t be any mistakes,” the man said.
In the afternoon, the man lay back in his chair, contemplating the direction of his future.
“Damn it, there really are aliens,” the man cursed.
In his world, technology was advanced, and the aerospace industry had made considerable progress over the years.
