Chapter 72: Can a god be afraid?
by Jessie@AFNCCThere is much more than words on paper.
It’s a lot of writing, and it’s very dense.
It’s all about Kryssa, about the life arrangements of the witch, including but not limited to strength enhancement, future direction, food, clothing and shelter.
Every outlined word, every broken sentence, was so crooked and twisted that one could tell from it that the writer was in extremely bad shape.
Suppression originating from the gods.
End chirps from longevity.
It makes it incredibly difficult to even write normally for the person who cares most in the heart of the witch.
But even so, he continued to worry about the future of the witch, pondering over the pros and cons for the witch, and shining a light on the path ahead for the witch.
“Mentor.”
Fingertips trembling, stroking the surface of the paper, skimming over every word, feeling the warmth from the “sun”.
Tic-Tac–
Tic-Tac–
There was a crisp thumping sound, the echo of tears crashing down on paper.
Krysia stood in the study where she was alone, looking at the familiar handwriting on the surface of the paper, her eyes instantly filling with tears, the teardrops sliding down silently without making any sad sound.
Outside, the sun poured freely, bringing scorching heat and light to everything, making the sea of trees dappled, making the insects and birds chirp in unison.
The world is serene in the middle of summer.
The witch was silent in her agony.
Her eyes no longer had any light in them, and the only slight fluctuations were the silent sobs refracted by the light falling on the surface of the crystalline teardrops.
“I’m clearly …… clearly…not worthy of you ……”
“You are the one who gave my existence meaning …… That’s enough…”
“No More ……”
The images are silent, but the impact of the sadness goes straight to the heart.
The witch had never cried more quietly, more sadly, more helplessly, and she still felt, to this day, that she was utterly inferior.
She didn’t have the courage and had to rely on the Xu system to move forward.
She had no power but to sit back and watch the Xu system pass away.
She had no emotions and could only give the Xu system fake smiles.
Her life, the life of the witch, was called the life of Krysia Christina.
It’s so pale.
Nothing can be done, nothing can be done.
Looking at every word on the paper, which Xu System knew had little life to live, but still considered for her, Krysia’s body trembled even more.
I wanted to sink into the darkness forever, I wanted to never move again.
But no.
The mentor didn’t want her to be like this.
He was expectant, inspired, wanting the witch to spread her wings and fly free into the sky.
As such, Kryssa got back on her feet, obedient and listening to the Xu system, ready to live by its orders.
But.
What’s the point of living?
The witch didn’t know, the witch was godless, until she saw the word “god” on the paper, then her eyes turned slightly, and she found the meaning of her existence.
“I’m going to do it for…”
“I’m going to do…something…for my mentor ………”
“Even if it’s against…the gods.”
In a silence that was so quiet that it was frightening, Krysia moved with trembling movements and slowly removed the aquamarine necklace from her neck, rubbing it delicately for a while before placing it in her space ring.
Immediately afterward, the wand appeared in the center of her hand.
Crunch–
The gate to the courtyard was pushed open, the rusty bolts echoing slightly harshly, and Kryssa stepped out with a dull gaze, her whole body very haggard.
The sunlight enveloped the witch, but all the witch could feel was cold.
She was in a trance-like state of mind.
Didn’t even notice the stones under his feet.
The witch fell, and after a few seconds of lying still on her back, she pressed her delicate fingertips to the ground, palmed herself, and stood up on her own.
She knew that from now on, she would never be helped to stand up again, so she had to learn to stand up on her own.
It’s the only way to keep your mentor from worrying.
It’s the only way to live well.
The midday sun was blazing brightly, and on this journey, light and shadow were intertwined.
Rays of sunlight passed through the gaps in the dense foliage and fell on the shoulders of the ever-walking witch, as if it were a kind of silent gaze that witnessed her walking further and further away.
Since then.
The Witch will be transformed into an eternal monster and live alone in the world.
She left the courtyard forever.
Leaving a place that is no longer “home”.
No one knew exactly where the witch had gone until four or five years had passed before the mortals living in the surrounding area felt something was wrong and realized that the courtyard hadn’t moved for a long time.
Some people were curious to look over the wall, but all they saw was a lot of dust.
Such an anomaly quickly drew the Wizard Association to check it out, but they failed to find anything, and all items related to the Xu system were collected and taken away by Krysia.
Only empty houses remain, their doors and windows rattling in the wind, making one wonder.
Eventually.
The incident was characterized as a simple disappearance.
Somehow, for a long time afterward, the city of Allenson was often attacked by sub-dragon species, and occasionally even by pure-blooded gargoyles.
The incident became an unsolved mystery in the city of Allentown.
Thirty years later.
Under the will of the gods, the many divine churches were still searching for traces of the Xu system, wanting to find the Holy Realm Magician who had the potential to achieve a new god.
But it wasn’t long before a frightening incident shocked the entire wizarding world.
Overnight.
The entire Church of God on the north side of the world was uprooted.
No, it would be more appropriately called annihilation.
At the same time and in different places, great powers descended from the vault of heaven and extinguished the faith of the gods in peace.
The gods descended in wrath.
“Who, who is it!?”
“There is already a way to death for disrespecting God!”
“Wait, this kind of power …… Could it be that you have ignited the divine fire?!”
The gods that have descended to the earthly realm are not physically located in the heavenly realm, but even so, the gods still possess great power over the mundane world.
But it’s the gods that are so high and mighty.
With the advantage of numbers, it still couldn’t help the Witch.
In the end, the battle was drawn and the witch left peacefully.
The incident triggered a crisis of faith among the gods, with countless people viewing the Witch as the one true god, so much so that the gods went berserk and ordered a search for the Witch.
Another twenty years passed.
Krysia reappeared.
She stood in the sky, her wand striking the void with a staccato blow, and the vastness of her majestic magic swept through the elements, creating a wild roar that flooded the world.
With one blow, the entire foundation of the gods’ faith was swept away.
Wherever located, the Church of God was destroyed with precision.
People are scared and terrified.
Convinced that the Witch must have an unholy grudge against the gods.
Even the gods thought so.
“No, it’s too dangerous to remain in the Heavenly Realm, that guy will fight his way up sooner or later!”
“If you want to fight, you guys are the ones to fight!”
There are gods who are fearful, and there are gods who are so afraid that they want to run away from the heavenly realm.
The magical world, though large, is not the only existence in the chaos, and with the power of the gods it is easy to find new worlds or hide in the elemental planes.
No god wants to fall.
Terrifying magic originating from the Witch that even the gods fear.
But at this moment, it was too late to escape, the earth, wind, water and fire roared and roared, unknowingly wrapping and blocking the entire heavenly realm.
