    Chapter Index

The Xu system has been with the witch for four years.

    In those four years.

The Witch was the one he watched grow up.

Everything about the Witch, everything about Krysia, Xu System felt that no one would be more familiar with it than him.

But even with this familiarity, there were not many times when the Xu system had looked hard into Krysia’s eyes.

What words to use to describe it.

The campfire burned in the darkness, warmth and shimmering light intertwined, the weather flooded with cold, exhaling into fog, bright, fragile eyes blinking slightly.

Those eyes weren’t as nice as the biographies, for the protagonists.

    No mystery and radiant colors.

There is no fearlessness of firmness and decisiveness.

There is no beauty of innocence and goodness.

Those things, those descriptions, have nothing to do with emotionally deficient magical girls.

All Xu System could see was empty and godless eyes, without a trace of life, not mixed with any emotions, like dead things without any sense of existence.

The only way to feel that the owner of the eye is alive is in the moment of blinking.

    “……”

The eyelashes fluttered gently, and the watery light that covered the surface of her eyes, illuminated by the campfire, further amplified that calmness and indifference.

Department Xu was curious, it was said that the eyes were the windows to the soul, so what would Krysia’s soul be like.

He fixed his eyes on it, looked at it carefully, looked at it intently.

But no matter how he observed, what Xu System saw in those eyes was always only his figure and nothing else.

    That’s normal.

After all, Department Xu was locking eyes with Krysia, and rightfully so, Krysia had only Department Xu in her field of vision.

“It looks like that claim was false.”

The Xu system is slightly regrettable.

He didn’t see through the eyes of the witch.

Without further delay, the Xu system began to carefully observe the entangled gold and black colors within Krysia’s eyes.

The two colors are intertwined and entwined, like the stars that reflect each other in the night sky, in a gesture that Xu system can not understand, it is hard to give up and be inseparable as one.

It wasn’t pretty, one might even say it was scary.

Distorted colors make people psychologically ill.

“Krysia, can you describe to me when your eyes changed?” , the Xu system inquired.

“It was before you came back”, the girl replied in a calm tone.

Regarding the mutation of the eyes, the witch herself was not sure.

However, through her elaboration and the various questions she pursued, Department Xu quickly realized the root cause of the eye mutation.

    “Despair and Sadness? ……”

“No, more specifically, overpowering and irritating emotions.”

“The reason Kryssa’s eyes are a light golden color is because there is half of the demon bloodline in her body, so, thinking about it from another angle, does the change in her eyes correspond to the change in her bloodline?”

Looking at the young girl who was motionless and as quiet as a doll.

The Xu system was in deep thought.

He had envisioned many possibilities, but among those countless possibilities, only the demon bloodline was the most suspicious.

Thus, the Xu system reached out and gently covered Kryssa’s head with his palm, rubbing the location of the twin horns that had previously been disposed of.

    A little rough.

    Some bumps.

    There is so much regrowth.

“It’s really like this ……,” Xu Department’s suspicions were confirmed.

There was the sound of the wind drumming in his ears, and as the night wore on the evening wind was becoming more violent, but it was blocked by the magical barrier.

Only the voice remains for a reluctant echo.

Regarding the Demon Race, System Xu didn’t know much about it.

Only from the books of the Wizard Association, he had briefly seen some words, such as the Demon Race was born without magic, but possessed a powerful physical body, and was a pest of the world loathed by the gods.

These accounts are too subjective and not more detailed.

    So.

The Xu system couldn’t tell if Krysia’s change was good or bad.

“Kryssa, does it feel like you’re different anywhere”, Xu asked the owner of the eyes as he withdrew his illumination spell.

    She shook her head.

    Gray-silver hair followed its sway.

“Mentor, I don’t feel that way”, Krysia answered truthfully.

She felt neither unwell nor better anywhere, everything remained the same as usual except for the discoloration of her pupils.

    “Is that so ……”

The campfire blazed and rose, and the Xu system gave up on probing his eyes.

He knew so little about the Demons that he was practically a blank slate, and with such a dearth of intelligence, the wisdom of observers and mortals couldn’t offer much help.

If you want to gain insight into the truth behind it.

One can only travel to other cities to access more books of demonic information, as well as observe the girl’s daily changes.

Thankfully, the change didn’t cause Kryssa any pain.

The only problem is that the eyes look oozy.

The Xu system doesn’t mind this, Krysia doesn’t care about this, so there’s nothing to worry about with this issue.

    ……

    Next time.

The Xu system and Krysia sat around the campfire.

Guarded by the barrier of the warmth of fire, no strong wind could blow in, much less extinguish the makeshift bonfire.

    It’s a very subtle feeling.

Sitting quietly inside, drinking lightly of hot water, watching nature’s angry winds roar not far away, as if cut off from the world, transcending the boundaries of life and death.

Looking up, I could see a sky full of stars.

Look down and you can see the vast wilderness.

With a sideways glance, he could see the burning Allenson.

    “Mentor…Mentor …… Mentor.”

In such an environment, Krysia still tried to do something for the Xu system every now and then, as she always did.

Like boiling hot water, or organizing the contents of a space ring.

    She can’t be idle.

Always thinking of doing something to help the Xu system.

It was only when the Xu system finally spoke up and told the girl to sit down and rest that she settled down.

“Kryssa, it’s not in Ellenson, you can relax.”

    “…… is.”

Looking at the young girl who was still somewhat unable to sit still, Department Xu decided to talk about something to help distract the young girl.

He spoke a lot and in a variety of ways.

There are mythological stories from Earth, tips and tricks for practicing magic, or maybe, just the idle routines of ordinary people as they live their lives.

    Krysia listened intently.

Is it because the story is really good, or is it because the person telling it is from the Hsu family?

    Or maybe …… is neither?

Halfway through Xu System’s speech, he realized that at some point, the young girl had fallen deeply asleep.

Breathing steadily, sleeping sweetly, making slight gurgling noises, his delicate features had a unique cool prettiness under the moonlight.

    “It’s a kid after all.”

    The Xu system smiled helplessly.

Standing up, he walked over to the sleeping young girl and covered her with a thick, warm blanket.

It seemed to have sensed the Xu system’s movements in a dream.

The young girl let out a slurred murmur, looking adorable.

Honestly speaking, when he first met Krysia, Department Xu hadn’t thought at all that the skinny girl covered in sludge would grow into what she is today.

“Is this a good life simulator or a little girl raising simulator?”

    Under the Stars.

System Xu summoned the analog panel and fell into deep thought.

    ………………

(Call for knife and knife music, hopefully more interesting knife themes will be provided, and the right ones will be used in the new simulation)
