Chapter 267: You are the challengers
by Jessie@AFNCCThe development of civilization.
Advances in technology.
It’s an upward spiral.
Even the interstellar bug race, the cosmic beasts that were dominated by physical strength, followed such an iron law, completing a round of qualitative changes within their bodies.
Quantum, Biological, Astral, Dimensional, Space-Time ……
Technology encompasses so many areas.
The higher the level of civilization, the more difficult it is to glimpse the limits, and even face the dilemma of stagnation in the long passage of time.
This is the limitation of civilization itself.
A solidified ego mindset, a mature technological system, can invariably limit inspiration.
The solution to this, civilized by captive breeders, is simple.
[Change of perspective].
Actively captive a sea of stars to spawn more new civilizations at a frequency far beyond normal, to draw new inspiration, new ideas, new directions of observation.
No need for those civilizations to become much stronger.
Just a little useful thought can be retrieved from the infinite contemplation of life.
It’s all qualitatively better for the captive.
So.
The Captive’s civilization has carried out countless creations and countless destructions, in which it has taken far more time than the limits of a normal living individual.
Incomprehensible, incomprehensible!
On what grounds, on what grounds a later-awakened wise weapon that had existed for far less time than his own side’s broken brass.
The ability to develop the tech tree to perfection quickly and absorb your side’s tech.
“Destroy it!”
“If not once, then ten times!”
“If not ten times, then a hundred!”
“A thousand times, ten thousand times, a hundred thousand times!”
“Let this damned piece of shit never come back to life again!”
Captive breeder civilization gives its best.
No more worrying about Star Ranch.
Engage in a grandiose war spanning several river systems with a fleet of intelligent machines operated by machine servants.
Curvature kinetic strike, positive and negative matter annihilation, space mass explosion ……
With its true undercard, the Captive’s civilization was once again victorious, and one could even say that it won easily, and gradually, the atmosphere within the civilization became relaxed and pleasant.
Until the mechanical frenzy strikes again.
Stronger weapons, more numbers, more incredible technology.
“Master.”
“The cage that binds you will be broken by me.”
Sci-Fi Universe.
The cluster of galaxies in which the Captive’s civilization is located.
Ailee’s machine soul attached itself to the main battleship, cascading and bending space to provide the starship with movement at a thousand times the speed of light.
The dark deep space rippled with the rush of stars, the bloom of particles and radiation.
High-dimensional observations.
Overlooking the stars.
The machine-soul of Ailee stood above the infinitely higher dimensions.
Gaze into the distance at the home planet of the Captive’s civilization.
She whispered, in words she had learned from the Xu system, “Farewell, Cage.”
The stars shook and gravity twisted.
Countless FTL starships, carrying the latest research in space weapons, attacked the stronghold of the Captive’s civilization in a suicidal act of madness, decapitating it.
“No-!!!”
The Captive’s civilization was spooked and activated its hidden dimensional defense barriers.
And urgently call back all the main fleet.
But that would be useless.
Just as it was the intention of the Captive’s civilization to destroy Airee over and over again, Airee was prepared to use such methods to break through the tight dimensional barrier.
Burst.
Re-explode.
The starry sky rang with a series of firecracker-like brilliant sparks.
It was the FTL starship, slamming into the home planet of the Captive’s civilization at full speed while carrying a large number of antimatter bombs and space fission weapons.
This was a classic tactic of Ailee’s, and the first move that Department Xu had taught her.
Quantity over quality.
Of course, Airey kept the second trick in mind.
“Ailee, no matter what time it is, never put yourself in danger.”
“…… Yes, Master.”
Ailee was well behaved and listened to all of the Xu system’s instructions.
And so.
In her higher dimensional state she took a step back.
Using quantum technology and transmitting to the edge of an extremely distant battlefield, remotely command clusters of starships and production architectures to unleash endless self-explosions on the captive civilization.
……
Ejections from black holes form violent cosmic storms.
Strong radial winds carry a message.
At the end of the stars, an epic war was fought for thousands of years in a stalemate between the civilization of the Captive and the Intelligent Armageddon.
Both sides went back and forth, beating the rest of civilization to a standstill.
Gradually, the Wizards side gained the upper hand.
The Captive civilization had attempted efforts to use dimensional weaponry to literally strangle the Machine Souls, and to that end, they had blockaded the Intelligent Flagship at great cost.
No other civilization can know the details of what happened at that time.
Just know that captive breeders civilly curse dirty.
Airey won.
Won dry, won rightfully, many times metamorphosed machine soul, with a unified mind to bring absolute efficiency, war potential horror absolute peak.
“Master, this starry sky …… still seems to be dirty.”
The faithful machine servant did not stop.
Instead, he turned his gaze, to an even more distant region of the universe.
Starwash Tour.
Set sail again.
……
The real universe is much larger than the space inside the cage.
From the most basic planetary galaxies, to stellar galaxies, river systems, and superclusters of galaxies.
Even when observed from a macroscopic perspective.
The universe is also incredibly large in scale.
Therefore, the civilizations in the universe are as numerous as the stars, and the best ones are like gravel in the palm of the hand, and there are countless of them in a single grasp.
[Survival] and [War].
Always a topic the universe can’t avoid.
And now, the major civilizations of the universe no longer need to think or worry about it.
Calling themselves “Servants”, the intelligent, armored cataclysms have come from the middle of nowhere to attack the civilizations of the universe with a fleet of ships large enough to eclipse the stars.
No one cared at first.
Something like the Intelligent Devices Apocalypse has happened countless times in the universe for a long time.
But over time, powerful civilizations sensed something was wrong.
Instead of being wiped out, the Smartarms grew stronger and grew to be quite threatening.
“Heh, interesting.”
“Such an amazing rate of evolution, we recognize it, and may we call you the strongest on this path of the Wisps.”
“Unfortunately, it was too witless after all.”
Microstellar civilizations with astral-based development fields.
An interstellar insectoid race with a biologically based developmental field.
A civilization of steppers in a dimensionally oriented developmental field.
Countless civilizations, countless powerful people, all cast scrutinizing gazes at the Intelligent Armament Fleet.
While wondering, he felt that the Machine Servant was too brainless to try to challenge a large number of top civilizations.
“No, you guys are wrong.”
Ailee looked down at the stars and responded faintly, “You are the challengers.”
The stars were silent.
The war, it’s on.
There is no avoiding it, no escaping it, and any civilization that engages in predatory behavior is considered an enemy by Airey.
“Your existence has tainted this sea of stars, and I will not allow you to remain until your master is resurrected.”
The spirit of the machine surges.
As time passes, that specialness grows again.
Now, even when separated by hundreds of thousands of light-years, or even hundreds of millions of light-years, Ailee’s power of reckoning still encompasses everything, and all of her side’s intelligent units are her eyes.
