    Chapter Index

The sunny stamens, swaying in the wind, shake out a light elegant fragrance.

    Like a light haze.

At the touch of the young girl’s fingertips, a blue-violet halo shook out.

There was a small sound coming out, it was an insect hidden deep in the sea of flowers, disturbed and panicked, flying up and brushing against the young girl’s cheek.

    “Blue and purple flowers ……”

“Is it violets? Or an iris?”

The Xu system took a few steps forward.

    Parallel to the machine servant.

In the gaze, the petals cascade in an orderly manner and are cast in clear textures by the sunlight, creating an interlocking combination of light and shadow.

The air was humid, smelling of earth and grass, not pleasant, but reassuring.

“Ailee, do you like this flower?” , the Xu system asked.

    “Like.”

In a calm tone, Ailee told why she liked this flower.

Unlike the lack of understanding of the Hsu system.

As an Intelligent Device, Ailee found the relevant records from the database the first time she saw the flower.

In the days of the old Confederacy, this flower was known as the “tail of a shooting star,” resembling a comet that flickers in the sky, and its delicate petals were known as the tears of a star.

    But.

That’s not what Ailee really cares about.

The only thing she paid attention to, and felt fond of, was the language of the flower of the shooting star.

    “Loyalty, freedom, and eternal love.”

    The mechanically cast girl murmured.

Those icy eyes revealed traces of silver-blue light, the true color of metal and the machine servant’s desire for heart.

The face is delicate, with a bit of white light dotting it.

The five senses that have feelings that are almost ready to break through the calm.

    into a passionate surge.

“That’s right ……”, listening to Ailee’s reply and looking at that cold face, Department Xu was stunned for a moment before revealing a smile.

“These are a few flowery phrases that do suit you, Ailee.”

Human nature changes in complex ways.

    It’s not a game.

    Not the score.

Not one or two things are evident.

But the machine servant’s fondness for the language of flowers did, indeed, make the Xu system feel more human to Ailee.

“Master, for you”, Ailee crouched down and plucked the blue-purple Meteor’s Flower, handing it to the Xu system with a calm face.

The long, silky hair was a brilliant golden color under the prevailing sunlight.

Slightly shaking the Xu system’s dismayed face.

“Yes, thank you”, the Xu system returned, smiling to express his gratitude, but instead of accepting the flowers, he adorned the girl’s head with them.

“This flower suits you more than it does me, Ailee.”

“Well, it’s as good as thought, and it goes well together.”

The Xu system took a few steps back.

    Appreciate your results.

The breath of life, embellished on the cold metal, merges with a beautiful beauty.

Not bad, not bad at all.

The Xu system was satisfied, an appreciative expression on his face.

Then after that, considering that the starship’s research was coming to an end, System Xu ended the trip to the Sea of Flowers.

He turned to walk back, his loyal machine servant close behind, but in the dead center of Xu’s line of sight, unseen by the Xu system, Ailee silently pulled out a pamphlet.

The Thirty-Six Steps to Having Love.

    Slender fingertips ruffled the paper.

On the page where the flowers were delivered, a silent cross was drawn.

“Failed …… but was… happy,” Ailee’s expression was blank and puzzled as she looked at the Xu system’s back and cocked her head dully.

    Not quite what was expected.

Is this what the owner always says, that you can’t blindly listen to data and information?

    Well–

    Try something else next time.

The machine servant frowned, thinking that hearts were really hard to guess.

    …………

[Regarding the trip to the Sea of Flowers, you’re happy with it, and so is Ailee.]

[You are satisfied with Ailee’s growth, and sincerely lament that the 9090 Home Economics Intelligent Devices have been transformed into real living beings.]

[Except for the lack of flesh and blood]

[Nowadays, Airey is even more emotional than some humans look]

[As you lament, you put on the flower of the shooting star for Ailee. The flower itself is not important, but the person who wears it.]

[Back at the base, Airey is caught up in the hustle]

[You observe curiously and realize that the machine servant is looking for a way to preserve flowers, not to make specimens, but to make them permanent, to hold that still-brilliant gesture in place.]

[Loyal machine servant succeeds, but fails again]

[She can fix the flower’s posture, but can’t retain its inner being, which is the fragrance of life, an invisible thing lost in the light of day].

[You reassure Ailee that it is possible to complete the reincarnation of a flower by planting it, without necessarily clinging to the original flower]

[Machine servant watching you for a long, long time]

    …………

“Fifteenth year of simulation, you’re 34 years old, 13 years of Ailee’s company.

[Your research on starships is over]

“The soul of the machine is powerful and pleasurable, the power of the machine is super resonant, the engine roars at your will, and the energy surges at your command.

“You are the master of the starship and the creator of the smart machine.

[Since then, you can finally look to the stars and take the first step towards the bright stars.]

[Your heart is pounding, but you’re not overwhelmed by joy]

[Using Ailee as a medium, you control all of the engineered intelligent machines to mine planetary resources and store interstellar materials as quickly and efficiently as possible.]

[You know that the universe is so vast that there are bound to be many risks, so you must prepare everything in advance]

“Later in the day, I hope it won’t be too boring.”

“Cosmic voyages are doomed to be lonely, even more so than the wastelands of old.”

“During the time of the Waste Land, there would be fear and consideration of every aspect of the repercussions of the Rebel Wisdom, but at least there would be something to do.”

“The scale of the universe is so vast that just catching up can be tens or hundreds of years at a stretch.”

“Think of it this way ……”

    “Slightly distracted.”

    South, Sixth Satellite City.

At the age of 34, the Xu system, with the help of genetic potions, remained unchanged from its youth.

He basked in the sun with a helpless look on his face.

    Always.

    Interstellar voyages are all clichés.

The vastness of the universe and the sheer size of the stars doom civilizations that are too slow to break away from the vicinity of their home planet for the rest of their lives.

The good thing is, the Xu system has extras in place.

With the Machine Soul Pleasure and Mechanical Power Resonance, as well as Ailee’s help, technology is developing at a much faster rate than ordinary civilizations, and it’s not unlikely that it will go even further.

    “Master, please drink.”

The familiar sound of words interrupted Xu System’s thoughts.

    “Thanks, Ailee.”

The Xu system took the water cup out of habit.

Take a light sip and feel the flavor.

“Elle, did you add anything to the water?”

“Yes, I added some herbs that will do your body some good.”

    “So, it’s been hard work.”

The sun’s rays formed rippling patches of light in the sea of leaves, and Xu System sipped the drink that the girl had carefully prepared.

The self-machine servant is just too capable.

“Ailee, how’s the starship build coming along?” , the Xu system asked.

“All is well, Master, both the main battle fleet and the eco-starship you reside in are being remodeled and produced, and the work will soon be completed.”

The machine maid dressed in a maid’s outfit answered elegantly.
