Chapter 207 – Will Ailee be popular?
by Jessie@AFNCC“Master, what is the difference between man and machine?”
“…… Well, I can’t say for sure about that.”
“Is it a flesh and blood body?”
“Compared to that, I think [heart] is a bit more important.”
Deserted Ruins.
Silent dead silence.
Xu System, dressed in power armor and with increased strength from his armament, forced himself to carry a large chunk of computer components and walk, always leaving deep concave footprints whenever he landed a step.
Regarding the final outcome of the federal computers, Department Xu chose to dismantle them in batches and carry them back to the underground base one by one.
The process is tedious and monotonous.
The Federal computer is so large that trying to transport it all would necessarily take a longer time.
But it’s more than a moment’s hard work.
The Xu system was more than willing to leave it in the ruins of the building.
“Hoo~~~”, a tiny cool breeze blew gently on Xu’s face through the cracks in his armor, reducing that fatigue from the high heat.
Tireless and uninformed machine servant AIs that don’t know how to hurt.
Knowing that humans and it are different.
So, Ailee adjusted the power armor uninterruptedly so that the Xu system could use this Federation killing machine in the most comfortable way possible.
“Master, does the coolness feel right?”
“It’s a good fit, big help, Ailee.”
The Xu system smiled and quipped, his hair messy and wet from the interior of the armored helmet wrapped around him, gently soaked up by sweat.
Thanks to the attentive service of his own machine servant, he didn’t feel too overworked.
On both sides of the road, the shattered remains of carriers sway in the wind, and the occasional lime green color exists, tenaciously rooted in the stone bricks amidst the never-ending apocalyptic landscape.
The weather is hot.
The heat wave distorted the scene in front of him.
Inexplicably, walking on these old remnants of human civilization, Xu felt a coldness that belonged solely to steel.
In contrast, there was a slightly hot mind inside the power armor.
“Master, please have some water.”
“Uh, well …… Ailee, there’s something I want to ask you.”
“Please, by all means.”
“This glass of water, when did you put it inside the armor?”
“For fear of master’s thirst on the road, Ailee modified the armor parameters in advance so that it has a small compartment of water storage space, doesn’t master like it?”
“Uh …… no, you’re doing fine.”
The Xu system opened its mouth and, with a single catheter, slowly sucked and drank the slightly cooled pure water.
It clears the throat, which in turn clears the brain, making the whole body smooth and comfortable.
“Is Ailee’s talent in the wrong place?”
Drinking water at the same time.
Xu System thought so in his mind.
As an intelligent AI, Ailee’s scientific talent was undoubtedly top-notch, but right now, it was being used to revamp the drinking water function.
Is it hard to believe that this is an old habit from the Home Economics Wise Devices?
A slight waste of talent, but the Xu system didn’t hate this kind of Ailee, it was a color that was uniquely Ailee’s, a characteristic that set a new life apart.
“You know, Ailee, in my hometown, Intelligent AIs like you are so popular that people will fight over you.”
“Will Airey be popular?”
“Well, it will be.”
“What about the master?”
“I like that about Ailee, too.”
Xu Department answered truthfully, ask, who can refuse the obedient and well-behaved and capable exclusive AI?
“呲呲……呲呲……”,动力头盔的屏幕上,象征艾蕾的微表情,忽然像雪花一样闪烁起来。
After a few moments, the micro-expression regained its stability.
“Ailee loves her master too.”
Intelligent Auxiliary Machine Servant AI, so says Airey.
……
The land of the Sixth Satellite City was filled with roaming Smartarms, and in order to avoid unnecessary battles, Department Xu silently increased his engine output and returned to the lab before nightfall.
The underground space was dimly lit.
But the Hsu system has long been familiar with this.
Moving out of the way of the set-up block and around the complicated corner, the Hsu system strides into the underground lab and places the Federal computer components he carried on the ground.
This is just one of the many parts.
Going forward, the Hsu system would need to be transported non-stop until the Federation computers were completely empty.
“Master, I will prepare your dinner and hot water.”
“Okay, go for it.”
The cold electronic synthesized voice left the power armor and returned to the body’s core, taking over the entire operational system of the lab.
The lights came on and the machines roared.
The high-speed gears snorted slightly, unloading the power armor along with the Xu system.
“What an amazing piece of technology.”
Inside the lab, the power armor began to recharge, and Xu’s voice sighed as he walked over to the computer components that had been moved to the room and ran his palm over its surface.
The Xu system had never seen the Human Federation in its heyday.
But as the saying goes, a glimpse of a corner tells the whole story.
Through the think tanks we’ve seen so far, and the incredible supercomputer in front of us, it’s more or less possible to conjure up a little bit of the Federation’s power.
“Even such a federation had to meet its demise.”
“My chances of winning are pretty low ……”
Xu System pondered, fortunately, he didn’t necessarily have to fight the Wisps to the death, with the help of the Machine Soul Pleasure, he could conceal himself perfectly and avoid being overwhelmed by the Wisps’ natural disaster.
Shake your head.
No more thinking.
The Xu system focused on the computer in front of them.
Think about the next steps for the future.
The eyes swept, skimming over the crystalline lines, colorless and formless, like real cohesive bands of light.
The texture is hard, and although it is a computer, it is thicker than the frontal armor of power armor.
And most importantly, the layers of buried core math group components.
“The first order of business is to activate the energy base of the Federation computer first, I don’t know how much energy is left, but I think, it’s enough for me to use this base.”
“If that doesn’t work, I’ll just have to go out and hunt for the Smartarms and eke out a living with their barren energy cores.”
The Xu system whispered softly to itself.
Walk along the components of the computer and take a close look at the internal and external construction.
“Unreadable, this computer has far more gold in it than the federal technology I’ve been exposed to before.”
“It’s a good thing that I have Armor Resonance, so I can take my time to eat up and understand it.”
“And–“
“With that child, Ailee, there is no fear of wasting the computer’s performance, and with that, we can even go further, making the base grow even more.”
The Hsu system pauses.
Eyes glanced at the base walls to the left and right, and helplessness flashed in his eyes.
He’s the open man.
But being open doesn’t mean being all-powerful.
System Xu could communicate with the souls of the machines and could learn the construction and principles of the machines, but he couldn’t recreate a mature production system out of nothing.
It’s been a few years of just building qualified shelter bases and researching the technology of the Smartarms at hand.
It took up a large chunk of the Xu system’s time.
But it’s different now, with the Federation computers and Ailee, the Hsu system can try to take it a step further and create a true sci-fi base.
“Master, dinner is ready.”
A synthesized mechanical tone rang in his ears.
The Xu system subconsciously responded with a “yes.”
He then put down the research at hand and stepped towards where he usually dined.
“Airey.”
The Xu system’s face was hesitant.
“Why, Master, Ailee is at your service at all times.”
“Are you sure these are for me?”
Ailee, today, seemed extraordinarily happy, so much so that she delivered a large plate full of instant squares, causing the Xu system to look on in silence.
The attributes of domestic robots are still firing on all cylinders.
