    Chapter Index

A slight voice with a quiver.

That’s the sadness created by the past.

Don’t want to face it, don’t want to see it.

Following the witch’s first objection, in the real world, the Xu system met the witch’s first nasty.

    Hate the white-haired Hsu system.

“It’s okay, Krysia, it’s just some snow”, a warm, broad palm meticulously rubbed the top of the demoness’s head, soothing the troubled heart.

Department Xu’s voice was soft and gentle at the same time.

The wounds of the heart can only be sewn up slowly with care turned into fine thread.

    The Hsu system understands.

In the second simulation, his own old age died in front of the Witch, giving the Witch such a psychic shock that it affects him to this day.

    That missing void.

It was actually patched up after reuniting with the Xu system.

It was just that the witch was still terrified of a scene like that, and reacted subconsciously at the sight of it.

“It’s okay, I’m here, all the time ……”

Palms brushed through long gray and silver hair.

In one light caress, the witch’s expression gradually calmed, her eyes returning to the emptiness that the Xu system knew so well.

    “Sorry, Mentor ……”

Krysia kept her head down, nearly buried in her chest, not daring to look up at the Xu system.

She knew that she had brought trouble to the Xu system.

Though to the Xu system, this so-called trouble was so tiny that it could not even be called a thing worth talking about.

    But the witch felt.

Being an object that affects its owner is an unforgivable mistake in itself.

“It’s okay, Kryssa, it doesn’t matter”, Xu’s system’s palm was still rubbing, passing on relief for the witch.

The voice was as gentle as the witch remembered.

Like the wind in the spring, and the fire in the night.

With temperature, with warmth, for the witch to blow away the uneasiness in her heart.

“Come on, we’re going home”, Xu system took Kryssa’s hand, grasping the slender trembling five fingers and wrapping them tenderly, leading the bewildered witch on her way home.

There is no influence of Krisha’s power.

    It didn’t take long.

The road home was once again dusted with a fine dusting of snow.

This time, the clever witch learned to take precautions, and there was an invisible spatial barrier enveloping the mid-air, engulfing all the snowflakes that fell overhead.

Echoing in his ears were the astonished voices of the walkers.

    “This snow is too weird.”

“Yes, it stops and goes down suddenly, harder to understand than a woman’s heart.”

“Go, go, go, let’s go faster or it’s going to rain again later.”

The sound of urgency, the sound of urgency.

People who were worried that the snow and wind would become heavy again picked up the pace of their feet and rushed towards their respective destinations.

The figures of the Xu system and the witch, unassuming in the crowds, walked side by side, their steps fine and slow, leaving even shoe marks on the road.

“The city of Yenoshan in winter is a different kind of fun.”

    Walking.

The Xu system looked to both sides of the street.

The city has an exclusive beauty in winter.

It was the light of a cold night, warming the streets.

It was steam in the stillness, rumbling and rolling hot.

In the silence and whiteness, people running around stocking up for the New Year add the last piece of winter to the clamor called “people”.

    “What is it, Krysia?”

    Turn around an intersection.

Still some distance from the courtyard.

The Xu system paused in his steps, not because he had anything he wanted to do, but because his fellow magical girl suddenly stopped and gazed at a store down the street.

Follow the witch’s line of sight.

    Hui saw a hat store.

On a bitterly cold winter’s day, the hat store, where business is slow, seems even emptier, and hardly anyone enters it.

But there was something rather new and interesting about the hats displayed in front of the store.

At a cursory glance, there are not only traditional hat styles, but also some catering to young people, specially made “middle-aged hats”.

Or the styling is grotesque and ridiculous.

    Or with superb juggling.

Or a character’s matching hat from a game or anime.

What the witch was looking at were those strange “middle-aged hats”.

Her eyes scanned from side to side with bewilderment and disbelief, finally coming to rest on a triangular hat.

The Xu system recognizes that kind of hat.

“A western fantasy style witch’s hat?”

The Xu system came to its senses, and Krysia, who had achieved the highest level of achievement, could easily understand the essence of any item when she saw it.

    Guess that’s why.

Being a magical girl is what makes Krysia attracted to the magical girl hats at the hat store.

Though the magical girl represented by both, is not the same thing.

    “Krysia, want to wear it?”

Snowflakes fluttering in the sky like runaway butterflies.

Clipping the wind and clamoring the world.

When confronted by the Xu system’s inquiry, Krysia nodded and then shook her head.

    “Mentor, I don’t need it.”

The witch said what she really thought, that she was just curious about the hat, not that she really wanted it.

“Try it, maybe you’ll enjoy it?”

The Xu system smiled, not much could arouse Krysia’s curiosity.

He led the bewildered and hesitant witch.

Walking in the direction of the hat store.

During the shopkeeper’s enthusiastic introduction, Department Xu removed the triangular magical girl’s hat, holding it up and down with both hands, and finally looking at the top of Krysia’s head.

“Krysia, put it on, will you?”

    “…… good.”

The Witch seemed genuinely interested in the hat.

The witch’s gaze followed the movement of the hat as Xu system held it.

“Krysia, put your head down a little.”

Krysia obeyed, dully lowering her head, while the Xu system placed the wide magical girl’s hat, lightly on top of the girl’s head.

    This particular hat is tremendous.

Far larger than an unusual hat.

The triangular shape makes the body feel a little heavier as well.

But I have to say, the triangular witch hat looks perfect for a witch with gray and silver hair.

    “…… mentor?”

Kryssa stood at attention, wearing a black and white interlaced dress, a pale black witch’s hat, and a face that was bewildered in its delicacy.

    She doesn’t know.

At this point in time, myself.

Does it look sort of nice or not.

“Krysia, can you turn in place?” , the Xu system looked at it and thought the frontal effect was great, they just didn’t know how it would look from other angles.

So, the Xu system told Krysia to turn in place for a moment.

    “…… Yes, Mentor.”

    The witch was obedient.

However, she found that the too-long bodice was not easy to move around in.

So, with one hand lightly lifting her dress and one hand lightly pressing down the wide brim of her hat, the witch stood and spun around in the flurry of snow to show her full likeness to the Xu system.
