I Became a Genius Law School Student Episode 74
[Author: Faithful believer of Dharma God 1]
“It’s this guy again…?”
‘Faithful Believer of the Law 1’ was a user who especially praised the God of Law and praised it as a treasure of the bar exam channel.
– Title: Honestly is there a user who is as helpful to the channel as Beopshin?
– Author: Faithful believer of Dharma God 1
– Contents: On a fictitious day people are lined up based on academic background teachers are criticized for job comparison posts viral marketing and on this channel where people gossip about kids in their law schools saying that studying is difficult Dharmakaya is a ray of light. It almost makes me wonder if he is not a fellow law school student but an incumbent who took the bar exam. Please know that you are thankful for this good fortune.
– Title: Day 1 of the Debut of the God of Law Instructor
– Author: Faithful believer of Dharma God 1
– Content: Honestly if Beopsin starts taking lectures it would be possible to get rid of all the instructors right now right? I’ve heard of all the good instructors but I’ve never seen anyone who writes answers as well and compactly as Beopsin. Please rather than donating your talent for free now I hope you build up to take a lecture later….
– Comment
(ㅇㅇ1): Oh this heaven and earth is plagued again
(ㅇㅇ2): It is true that the quality of the commentary on the Law Body is crazy.
Even the forces that followed Danny in praising the God of Law and advocated for the God of Law were so enthusiastic that there were even those who criticized them as fanatics and argued that the God of Law should be kicked out of the channel.
‘Well it doesn’t feel too bad anyway.’
It’s not because I received praise. I’m glad that I’m helping someone that much.
In fact my conscience was a little pricked at the idea of sweeping away precious issues in a way that was almost free but isn’t it an acknowledgment that I am paying a price in my own way?
On the other hand I was a little curious about what kind of person it was to love my interpretation so much.
‘Of course there’s no way we’ll actually meet each other.’
A while back this guy had repeatedly sent me questions about the academic records of Yonhee University Law School in the neighborhood.
In other words the probability that he was a student at Yonhee University Law School was extremely high.
In the busy life of law school there are not many opportunities to interact with students from other law schools.
Even in the few outdoor activities it would be rare to encounter them by chance.
There is no way to recognize them even if they met in the first place.
‘Let me see if there is any problem….’
The questions sent by Faithful Believer 1 of the Law are generally of a high level and there are rarely any problems.

With a smile on my face I started looking at the problems he had uploaded.

“Let’s rest for a moment.”
“Of course. Oh my maybe it’s because of my age but my back hurts after sitting for a long time…”
Seungpil Kim quickly agreed to my suggestion and stood up.
Now in this study room all members of the Constitutional Studies Study Group were gathered together and doing their respective studies.
Since they are useful people who will be used for a long time I have consistently spent time studying with them.
It’s already been about two hours since we sat down like that.
It was time to take a break and get in shape even if only for a moment.
Everyone put down their books and relaxed for a moment.
It was then.
“Well everyone here.”
Yu Ye-seul looked at the others.
“What are you going to do this summer?”
summer. So she talked about what happened during the vacation after the end of the semester.
Of course it wasn’t a question about where I was planning to go to have fun.
A law school student’s vacation is not a period of rest from learning.
Rather you should conduct a review of the past semester at the same time as a prerequisite for learning in the next semester.
In addition it was a valuable time to try out a variety of extracurricular activities that I could not participate in during the semester due to my class schedule.
‘Especially considering Yu Ye-seul’s background….’
Yoo Ye-seul is the famous daughter of the CEO of Taejong a large law firm that is one of the top five in this country.
If she asked about my vacation schedule my intention was obvious.
“Are you talking about the intern?”
As some time has passed I have come to use informal language towards Yoo Ye-seul.
I complied because she asked me to tone down my words but in fact every time Yoo Ye-seul saw me she spoke politely and with a strong look on her face.
It was extremely burdensome.
“yes. that’s right.”
intern. Or practical training.
This is a system where large law firms select excellent students from each law school during vacation and give them hands-on experience at the law firm.
In fact it is not just a simple experience.
If you skillfully solve the tasks assigned to you during the training process you will be confirmed to be employed by the company immediately after graduation.
This is also called early confirm.
“Huh didn’t our school ban first-year interns?”
Hanseol tilted his head.
“I did. But there is talk that it will be resolved starting this year.”
It was just as Hanseol said.
Hankuk University Law School in principle prohibited first-year students from interning at law firms.

The nominal reason is that since GPA and GPA are strongly reflected in the selection of interns it may end up forcing overly heated competition on students who have difficulty adjusting to law school from the first semester.
‘It’s a funny story.’
Prevent overheated competition? If you’re going to talk nonsense like that you should stop talking about things like lining up people from first place to last place in every exam and stuffing them on the wall to gain credibility.
In reality it was a rule that came about after being criticized by public opinion.
Several years ago when the bar exam and law school still coexisted law school was treated as a bastard of the legal profession.
The situation was slightly better for law school graduates from Korea University and two private universities rated just below it but in any case they had to compete even more fiercely than now to prove their market value.
This is because those who had to be passed over included not only students who sat above them but also those who passed the bar exam.
Nowadays including the lower-tier large law firms many law school students at Korea University somehow receive early confirmation but back then only about 20 students were allowed to join the company.
Naturally students literally studied to death and some actually died.
[Korea University Law School new student dies due to excessive academic competition!]
[Is Korea’s law school system okay as is?]
It was a disaster that brought out several provocative headlines and the directive issued by the president of Korea University at the time to appease worsening public opinion was to ban first-year interns.
“That solves it?”
“yes. As times have changed the law school system has become much more stable… This time Jin & Ahn cleverly avoided the issue of grade competition by moving the internship period to the summer of the first year.”
“indeed.”
The internship period is brought forward to the summer of freshman year.
You might wonder if that has anything to do with avoiding the issue of grade competition but in order to run an internship system in the summer receiving applications and selecting interns must be done during the first semester.
In other words the first semester report card has not yet been released.
Since there are no grades rankings or anything else it obviously cannot be reflected in selection. Naturally it also distances itself from the criticism that it is the main culprit in intensifying competition among students.
“But then what do you look for when choosing someone?”
Lee Haru who was sitting cross-legged on a chair asked.
Maybe it’s because he’s small but he seems to have that kind of posture.
“Isn’t the selection originally based on your grades and self-introduction? “They say it doesn’t even include grades so what is the standard?”
“Well that’s fine with me too.”
Yu Ye-seul made a fuss.
“I heard they are doing some sort of self-selection process… I don’t know the details.”
If Yoo Ye-seul who was directly connected to the deepest part of the industry did not know there was no one who would know.
“Anyway I think only Jin & An will be recruiting interns for our law school this summer. “I was thinking about helping out with a spoonful of Taejongdo but there were many partner attorneys who expressed concerns about being selected without credits…”
Other law firms also said they will not hold internship courses this summer. It was presumed that the reason was probably similar to that of King Taejong.
“First of all it’s good news.”
Taewoon Yoo showed motivation.
“You said you wanted to work for a large law firm.”
“uh. “Objectively my grades aren’t the best so if I can get Jin & Ahn’s attention this time it’s a huge opportunity.”
He nodded at my words.
Clearly his grades were somewhat lacking to be selected as an intern at Jin & Ahn.
This may be the first and last opportunity as I don’t have any input at all.
“Park Yoo-seung and Mr. Han Seol… said they wanted to become public officials. “So you’re not applying after all?”
Yu Ye-seul asked. Since I am a person who aims to become a prosecutor and Hanseol plans to become a trial researcher and build a career to become a judge in the court it was a natural question to ask.
but.
“no. “I’m going to do it.”
“Well I think I’ll at least try to apply.”
We shook our heads at the same time.
“yes? “Why?”
Yu Ye-seul who was expressing doubts covered her mouth with her hand.
“This is what Park Yoo-seung is doing so of course it has great meaning! sorry!”
Then he hit his head on the desk.
“Lift your head up you idiot!”
No matter how much I thought about it the condition was getting worse day by day.
Is this really the same person who interrogated me with his villainous look when he first appeared?
After barely stopping Yu Ye-seul I explained.
“Well it’s nothing grand….”
It may seem strange that a person aspiring to be a prosecutor would apply to become an intern at a law firm.
It may be seen as a selfish act of taking away someone’s precious opportunity without even intending to do so.
‘Do you know?’
However for me interning at a law firm was a path I had to take at least once.
Also you have to do a prosecution internship in the summer of your second year so if you’re going to do it you should do it during your first year.
It meant that it was a fight that could not be backed down.
“Becoming a prosecutor means having to fight against lawyers in court in the future.”
“Right…?”
“Fighting without knowing the enemy and fighting with knowledge of the enemy. “Which would be more advantageous?”
“ah…!”
Only then did Yoo Ye-seul nod her head sharply as if she realized it.
What do I need to do to become a prosecutor?
First you must take a subject called prosecutorial practice in the winter of your second year and receive high grades.
Based on this you must apply for and complete an advanced prosecutor’s course and finally if you pass the main exam and interview you will be appointed as a prosecutor upon graduation.
That’s right.
‘As soon as I graduate.’
Under the current system as soon as you complete law school you go straight to the prosecution.
In other words there is no opportunity to experience life as a lawyer.
That’s why you can’t learn how lawyers do their work.
Things like how evidence is selected and collected and what decision-making methods are used within the corporation until legal claims are made.
In short their habits menstrual rules and all sorts of other things.
It is not very welcome to enter the battlefield of the courtroom without any knowledge of the other party’s methodology which you will have to deal with every day.
Of course as you confront it data will accumulate and you will learn something from it but it will inevitably be different in density from the experience you gain by directly experiencing the position of a lawyer.
“The person who can solve that problem is a law firm intern.”
Even the person who committed the crime is not guilty. If that is not possible defense experts say that they will somehow reduce the sentence and get a suspended sentence.
It is the large law firms that reign at the top of the lawyer industry which is full of such people and needless to say the organization that views the world from the top is Jin & Ahn.
Internship is a golden opportunity to observe the physiology of such people right away.
There may be limits to the areas that an intern can access but since it is a practical training course that is predicated on hiring it is more closely related to the actual work of a law firm than you might imagine.
‘I heard that sometimes they pass on requests that they are supposed to handle to the interns as tasks.’
I realized how important it is to understand the other party long ago while attending a legal argument contest.
Without information it is impossible to predict what tactics will be used and it is impossible to prepare countermeasures to combat it.
“also!”
Yu Ye-seul got down from the chair and bowed down.
“While I was only thinking about my immediate career path Park Yoo-seung was looking ahead to what would happen after I became a prosecutor! After all for Park Yu-seung it would be natural for him to become a prosecutor!”
“It’s not natural. I have to try my hardest. “Get up now.”
“Be humble!”
As we were filming a skit that didn’t work Seungpil Kim secretly raised his hand.
“Uh everyone. “I’m sorry if I’m being rude during a chat.”
He held out his smartphone.
“It seems like it’s floating?”
“What do you mean?”
“This is the Jin & Ahn intern recruitment notice in question. “It was just posted on the law school website.”
Indeed as he said there was a hot notice that had just been posted on the website.
Apparently Jin and An were not good enough.
“Let’s take a look.”
The content itself was nothing special. In addition to information such as the application form and when the intern selection will be conducted there was only a statement written that a ‘special selection procedure’ would be followed as is known.
It seemed like they wouldn’t tell me in advance what it was.
In fact what caught my eye was the content underneath.
“Information session?”
“It is written that since this practical training course is a somewhat new attempt we plan to invite current students and hold an information session…”
The recruitment briefing itself is not that special.
Especially around Hankuk University Law School large law firms would come to the school hold briefing sessions and promote their internship programs.
“But this time the location is….”
“Myeongjin Hotel?”
Seungpil Kim could not finish his sentence and Hanseol shouted with an angry expression.
“It looks like they are a top law firm and have a lot of money.”
I smiled bitterly.
Myeongjin Hotel was an ultra-luxurious hotel considered the highest among 5-star hotels in this world.
There was a surprising statement that they would rent the entire lounge and banquet room buffet of that place and hold a briefing session.
In the case of Hankuk University Law School the number of people invited was 150 that is all first-year students.
Of course not everyone will actually go but considering the students coming from other law schools it was a huge number.
Indeed it was on a scale befitting those who guard the pinnacle of the legal profession in Korea.
“…one more reason to go.”
I can’t stand delicious food.
