Obviously when I went out with Mouser to talk about the Furnace March and Narcissa there was virtually no progress in the story.
However when Mouser waited for a while to chain-smoke in the back of the workshop and returned Elava’s condition had completely changed.
The way he had difficulty controlling his senses and strength disappeared and the way he absorbed Mouser’s advice like a sponge was like a student hungry for learning.
“I don’t think people don’t change at all but it’s a matter of personality and habits that make it so difficult to change… I’m really curious about what kind of mysterious trick you’ve used.”
At those words Lennok who was leaning on a chair on one side of the workshop laughed weakly.
“Isn’t it true that sometimes shock therapy works better than a magical solution?”
“…You mean shock therapy?”
“There are times when mental theory works better than theory. “I was lucky.”
To be honest although the problem was solved with a solution based on whole-brain theory and logic more thoroughly than ever before it is not wrong to say that it actually started with a shock by using Ouroboros.
Ebert too seemed to have not thought that Lennok had delved into Elava’s mind in that short period of time so he remained silent and looked away.
“Elava grew up receiving a lot of attention from Ex Machina because of her unique constitution since childhood.”
“….”
“But that’s why I couldn’t settle down in one workshop and wandered around for a long time even after I came of age. “The fact that she didn’t live up to her expectations may have been regrettable to her.”
“It’s a shame.”
Lennok answered quietly.
Ebert agreed.
“That’s right. Even though it’s clearly not her fault betraying expectations can be a crime in this city. So Master my brother….”
Ebert who had unconsciously agreed said that much and then kept his mouth shut.
He smiled sheepishly picked up his coat stood up and slightly lowered his head.
“Thank you for this. Of course even if Elava’s constitution cannot be completely corrected the mere improvement in her condition will be a great blessing for her.”
Lennok smiled and waved his hand at Ebert’s polite greeting.
“it’s okay. “I also gain some meaning through this every time.”
“Is that so….”
Ebert looked as if he had realized something from Lennok’s words.

“It is not only material objects and images that can leave meaning. “I’ve forgotten that for too long.”
“….”
I tried to say that I had copied the program code that existed in Elava’s head and obtained it but Ebert seemed to have misunderstood in a completely different way.
“I don’t understand why a craftsman like you was put on hold at the Meister selection ceremony. “I will definitely help you on the upcoming convocation day.”
“Oh yes… thank you.”
After that Lennok spent some time chatting with Ebert about big events within the Machine City and sent Elava and Ebert away.
“The ground level will be strict for the time being due to the municipal inspection that will take place in three days. “The bailiffs also become a bit sensitive during this time so be careful brother.”
“You’re talking like I’m going to cause some kind of accident. Are you becoming more like Narcissa?”
Ebert laughed at Mouser’s blunt response and left the workshop with Elava.
Looking at the direction back I wonder if they are planning to stop by the hospital near the workshop district as Lennok mentioned.
Although he tried not to show it Ebert seemed to care a lot about Elava.
“Is it okay if I don’t charge you extra money for this job? Although Ebert sent the compensation to my account I would have been able to receive more than this.”
Mouser asked.
“He works as a meister in Narcissa’s workshop. “You probably have a lot of money so there’s no need to be considerate.”
“it’s okay.”
Lennok laughed at Mouser’s words and put his hand in the end of his pocket.
“Because I already have what I need.”
A small chip about the size of a finger that can be held at the end of a pocket.
Lennok copied the code into the chip’s storage space and confirmed the identity of the program through his cell phone.
I couldn’t check it properly due to the phone’s lack of memory but I’m certain that the program’s function is a code used to unlock some kind of lock.
If we combine Ebert’s words and Elava’s actions this must be the core program code needed to forcibly open the door to the Mind Hall.
Lennok thought about that and picked up the small box placed in front of the workshop door.
“What is that?”
“This is something I personally requested from the Cyberd craftsman. “This is something I asked for in return for the last job but you got it sooner than I expected.”
Lennok answered and unwrapped the box on the spot.
Inside the box were two batteries covered in dust.
Mouser looked at the engraved pattern on the inside of the battery and muttered looking slightly surprised.
“It’s an item from Ultras Workshop. Now it must be a stolen item that is hard to find even in the Machina Deep Area.”
“Didn’t you say that the Cybird craftsman has wide feet in many ways? “I asked you a favor just in case.”
“Hmm… the battery condition is not very good.”
Mouser said softly.
“It’s a used item. It’s something that has been used for a long time. “I may not have much power left so is there a reason I need to get these batteries?”
Lennok did not answer but quietly took out the battery and touched it.
Kaise’s pocket watch. The battery from the Ultras Workshop that was used as fuel for that artifact was this stolen item.
I wanted to change the power supply and demand method of the artifact so that it can be used at any time but it is difficult right now.
In that case we have no choice but to supply batteries in this way and borrow Kaise’s power.
“I see you have a rough assortment of the necessary supplies.”

Lennok said and grabbed the battery tightly.
“All that’s left is to check for yourself.”

Shoot!!
The cool sound of waves circling my ears. The sea breeze is so vivid that you can feel the faint salty smell on the tip of your tongue.
Sea water hits the inside of the breakwater which is full of barnacles scatters and disappears.
Water droplets bounced from the top of his head and hung between the mouser’s bushy beard.
“It’s so fucking cold!!”
Mouser who shouted loudly asked Lennok who was looking at the sea from afar.
“It’s okay to try this today right?!”
“Didn’t you get a confirmation from Manager Ebert about Ex Machina’s schedule?”
Lennok who was standing at the end of the breakwater and stretching out his senses to the bottom of the sea not paying attention to the rough waves responded.
“There will be a municipal audit led by Ex Machina for two days starting today and the deployment of elite troops within Machina is being concentrated for that event.”
Shoot!!
Lennok stood up after carefully checking the water temperature and direction of the current by extending his magic sense deeply into the waves.
“If not today there would be no possibility of safely exploring the area near the undersea barrier alone. “No matter what the weather is you have to give it a try.”
After being officially summoned to the Mind Hall it is too late to bring about the end of Teremer the Demon King of the Old World.
Even before the convocation began Lennok had planned to use this rare opportunity to explore the submarine wall alone while the sea-side vigilance was being neglected.
“If I tried it in this damn weather I think it would be perfect to become fish food under the sea.”
Mouser grunted.
“I’m not the one going down anyway so it would be strange to say anything more.”
“This area of the sea is near the factory district where entry except for those involved is prohibited so it would be difficult to come back in unless there was an opportunity like this.”
Lennok said and gestured to one side of the shore.
“No matter what I can’t ask you this twice.”
“….”
Among the large factory buildings lined up on one side of the coast.
A man holding a folding blade in one hand is waving his hand vigorously in this direction.
A client who came to Lennok when he was working in the lower-level workshop district and asked to fix a folding blade.
Lennok asked the client who introduced himself as working on the coast if he could be let into the beach in the factory district.
Of course I didn’t ask for it out of the blue and I did bribe him but it was enough to secretly let Lennok into the waters of the factory district where access was difficult.
Lennok waved his hand at the client in the distance and spread a curtain of hallucination immediately fooling the client’s eyes.
“With this in that man’s eyes it will look like we are going straight out to see the sea.”
“…You’re thorough. “Can I go back like this now?”
“I have prepared receiving equipment that transmits my location and direction latitude in real time.”
Lennok said and placed a small terminal that could easily fit in one hand into Mouser’s hand.
“All you have to do is connect this to the computer inside the workshop and check whether the data is output normally.”
“Are you planning to go directly into the sea and collect data separately?”
“If Machina’s undersea barrier is maintained through spatial distortion data must be extracted and compared simultaneously inside and outside the distorted space.”
Lennok answered calmly.
“Otherwise it would not be possible to calculate the distortion rate of space and accurately pinpoint the location of the barrier.”
“Do you think the undersea wall itself is maintained through space distortion?”
“It’s almost certainly not what you think.”
Looking back at Mouser’s surprised expression Lennok reached inside his coat.
A pitch-black shadow appeared between the sleeves and the shape of a huge raven rose from within it and lightly stepped onto the shore.
Slam!!
Lennok said looking back at Mouser who was slightly cowering at the sight of a raven flapping its steel wings.
“In a large city like Machine City it would be impossible to change the location of the area and move the wall as soon as it branches out using physical design alone.”
“….”
“Artisan Narcissa mentioned the load of the wall when relocating my workshop to the upper workshop district. However there was no issue whatsoever about the area or location of the wall.”
“Uhm….”
“Moving the physical size or location of the barrier is not a big problem. “Then wouldn’t the same be true under the undersea wall?”
The steel barrier that divides and separates each area of Machina is a huge chunk of iron that is easily tens of meters thick and several meters thick.
How much metal would have to be moved and moved to divide and define new areas by moving such a wall every quarter?
And how much energy or raw materials is consumed in the process?
This cannot even be attempted unless there is a way to dramatically reduce consumption beyond an absurd level.
Therefore Lennok thought that the technology to move the mechanical barrier in Machina must be related to space compression and distortion.
“The Side Squad agent who tried to kidnap me in the workshop recognized at a glance that I was manipulating space through a night crow.”
Shoot!!
The moment the raven walked along the shore without hesitation and dipped his legs into the sea water Lennok also lifted the goggles he had been wearing around his neck and put them on his face.
“That’s probably because the Side Squad agents were aware of how reality becomes distorted when space is altered.”
“…So you were already guessing how the Machine City operates from that moment?”
“Of course all these words are difficult to confirm unless you go directly near the undersea barrier but…”
The moment he took off his coat and lightly tapped his shoulder and chest and made the hand sign Lennok’s clothes changed into a slightly tight suit.
A wetsuit designed to withstand as much of the water pressure as possible from now on.
Finally after completing his preparations Lennok rolled up his wrist and put on the tablet watch he had prepared in advance and spoke.
“At least we can achieve something today.”
Beep!!
The radar clearly appears on the watch screen and the shape of the light source moves along it.
This is equipment made by Lennok to track the magic power of the Penterect attached to the end of Teremer in the sea.
The relic vault exists beneath the most secret and darkest underwater barrier in the machine city of Machina.
It was time to enter the Simseong Pavilion.
