The Genius Wizard Who Takes Medicine Episode 606
Suspicious Engineer (4)
Broken broken…!!
The magic power that was flowing down like a flame burning in the air converges to one point as if rotating counterclockwise.
The magic power gathered in one place transformed into a huge sphere of light and at the same time brightened up the workshop.
The magic power did not simply gather at one point but appeared as if it were fixed directly on top of the artifact Isabella was holding.
Woooo!!
A strange sight where a huge sphere of light rotates inside the four-pronged blade that unfolds like an umbrella.
Magical energy falls from the surface of the sphere of light as if melting and slowly begins to seep into the artifact.
Paaaa!!
A sight where Isabella’s own magical power began to grow in size little by little on the spot.
Isabella and Uzzat are staring blankly at the artifact they are holding unable to continue speaking.
“We removed the components that cause frequent breakdowns in the amplifier and changed the built-in amplification function to an external one.”
Lennok said as he slowly pulled down the rapier pointed at his neck.
“It looks like it’s working well.”
“This…is impossible.”
Those were the first words Isabella murmured.
“If it is an artifact created from the beginning by implementing the function externally how can a function that has already been designed as an internal operation…!!”
If it is an artifact that simply manipulates and emits magical power it is not strange if the function is expressed outside of the artifact.
However how can a function designed to amplify the magic inside the artifact through internal parts and circuit design be taken out and still operate normally?
Would this be the surprise you would feel if the flashlight’s light was made to appear in the air above your head rather than inside the bulb?
A modification that is not at a level that goes against existing common sense but at a level that completely overturns the existing principles of magic engineering.
However instead of responding to Isabella’s words Lennok reached out his hand again toward the amplifier she was holding.
“If it is confirmed to be operating normally would you please return it to me? “I need to finish the fine tuning now.”
“…Can I get an explanation?”
Isabella quietly stops working and meekly hands the amplifier back to Lennok.

Uzzat also said nothing and just watched Lennok working.
Lennok who connected the wires to the workbench to charge his magic power said while fiddling with the artifact.
“The parts designed by Craftsman Clark Lenslett were so elaborate and complex that even if we repaired them in the same way as he did they would have broken down again at some point.”
“….”
“I wouldn’t be in this workshop every time something breaks down and you wouldn’t want to go to that length and ask me to fix it.”
By slightly changing the direction of the gears and opening and blocking several new circuits the flow of magical power to be expressed is forcibly adjusted.
“In that case I thought it would be much more efficient to imitate the magic flow of an already completed artifact and modify it to be implemented identically externally.”
“How on earth is that possible?”
Uzzat asked a question inadvertently and then lowered his head with a somewhat embarrassed expression.
“Oh I’m really sorry for my rudeness just now. “I couldn’t even imagine that it would go beyond repairing an artifact and remove the function itself by implementing it externally…”
“The magic amplification ability itself is actually a technology that cannot be implemented very efficiently with current magic engineering technology. Unless you use a large-scale horsepower power plant or particle accelerator it is impossible to equip and use it.”
Lennok explained casually.
In the first place amplifying magical power is not as simple as it sounds.
Although horsepower is considered one of the most basic and core driving forces in this world increasing the total amount of power is itself a violation of the law of equal productivity.
However magic power is not a power that can be explained in the realm of physical laws or calculations and there are so many variables that it can be greatly influenced by strong will emotions special conditions or the environment.
“The reason why an amplifier with this level of efficiency was miniaturized and portable. That’s because the artifact initially consists of Geass that operates on the condition that an individual named Isabella uses it.”
“….”
“Using the power of Geass the magic flow itself was forcibly bent to make amplification possible. “I just moved the end point of the magic flow created through Geass outward.”
Clark Rensleyt probably wasn’t able to easily deal with Geass without any consequences.
It is a power that even Lennok was able to control directly after personally digging into Gyebaek who was born as a corrupted ascendant through Geass.
Perhaps his strong feelings and will for his lover Isabella were contained in this equipment as a condition of Geass.
It was not an uncommon legend in this world to hear that equipment made by craftsmen with all their heart would become masterpieces that could never be made again.
“Even so there is no doubt that it is unrealistic to completely transfer the internal magic flow of the artifact to the outside.”
Isabella said in a calm voice.
“The number of horsepower flow distributions that Clark assumed while designing this equipment is well over 3000 types. “Unless you have the skill to capture and observe all of those magic flows one by one you can handle them almost simultaneously…”
This is the same even if the principle of the artifact itself was not modified but only the magic flow was moved to the outside.
Unless the magic flow inside the equipment is understood more completely than the manufacturer and adjustments are made beyond that it is impossible to enable operation with the magic flow changed.
Isabella was also very clearly aware of what kind of miracle Lennok had performed through his artifact.
But Lennok nodded calmly knowing that she had noticed that fact to some extent.
“You were lucky.”
“….”
At Lennok’s words Isabella made eye contact with Uzzat for a moment and slowly nodded.
Soon Ujat took out a very heavy sack from inside his robe and placed it on the workbench.
Wow!!
Just hearing it makes the sound of something so heavy falling down.
Even though he had been holding this object for a long time he pulled out his sword and put pressure on Lennok without showing any signs of hardship.
Isabella said while Lennok slightly raised his eyebrows at that fact.

“It is a gold bar worth 10 times the previously determined compensation.”
“…You mean gold bars?”
“The craftsmen I dealt with usually preferred things in kind rather than money.”
She carefully took the artifact that Lennok handed her back to her held it up and raised her head to look at Lennok.
“I would like to thank you again for maintaining the artifact and music box.”
“I’m glad I was able to return it cleanly.”
“Oh I forgot can I ask you one thing?”
Isabella asked as she prepared to leave with Uzzat.
“The maintenance of the amplification device can now be handled without difficulty even if we entrust the work to another workshop….”
“As far as I know the craftsman who used this workshop was someone else.”
“….”
“I wonder if you know anything about why the owner changed in the meantime.”
Lennok quietly raised his gaze and stared at the backs of Isabella and Uzzat who had their backs turned.
He was rushing to get ready as if he was going to leave at any moment and didn’t seem to be paying much attention to the conversation they had just had but Lennok knew.
The fact that the two were paying close attention to the answer to the question Isabella had just asked.
After all the reason he implicitly revealed that he was an executioner wasn’t simply to repair the artifact.
Perhaps someone’s fate and life may change depending on how Lennok answers here.
Lennok who realized that fact quietly answered before it was too late.
“no. “The owner of this workshop has not changed.”
“then?”
“I am just occupying and using the workshop without permission. “You’re just being rude to the owner by not asking for permission.”
“….”
“If anything goes wrong I will receive the full punishment. sorry.”
Lennok quietly confessing his mistake even though Isabella and Uzzat did not say anything.
If other people were watching this scene it wouldn’t be strange to wonder why he confessed his mistake to the customer in the first place.
However Isabella and Uzat were neither embarrassed nor puzzled by Lennok’s answer.
He just turned his back and shook his head with an expression that seemed natural as if he had expected to hear such an answer to some extent.
“craftsman. Calm down. “I didn’t ask that to criticize you.”
Uzat suddenly patted Lennok’s shoulder with a relaxed expression.
Is it because of the memory of me feeling embarrassed after pointing the blade at Lennok as if threatening him?
“It doesn’t seem like we should interfere so I hope you can resolve the issue regarding the right to use the workshop with Master Mouser. “It is absurd that a person with outstanding skills such as a craftsman cannot receive work because he or she does not have a workshop.”
“….”
An attitude of knowing about Mouser as if it were obvious even though not a word was said about Mouser.
As expected they had come to know from the beginning that this workshop was under the name of Mouser not Lennok.
In the process he must have been suspicious of the fact that Lennok was an outsider from outside the Machine City and his collusion with Mouser.
If Lennok had not honestly told the truth about the illegal occupation of this workshop or had not successfully repaired the magic amplification device it would have been difficult to see a good situation.
However since both tasks were met beyond their expectations there is also an opportunity to obtain them.
As if Isabella had read Lennok’s thoughts instead of leaving the workshop immediately she looked back at Uzat.
“No matter how much I think about it the cost of repairing the artifact is a bit insufficient.”
“I think the same.”
“I never thought that the problem would be solved by modifying the amplifier so completely. “I think we might have to pay a little more here.”
In response to Isabella’s calm reply Lennok took a step back and waved his hand.
“I don’t think there is any reason to add personal opinions to a transaction that has already been completed. “I am grateful but I would like to politely decline.”
“You may not know this but we are humans who live off the rust of the city.”
Ujat said with a smile.
“If you profit from a transaction unnecessarily you may get caught later. “It’s not something you should feel pressured about.”
“….”
Is it because the executive officer is strictly speaking a position close to that of a civil servant in the Machine City?
It wasn’t that he couldn’t understand what they were saying but Lennok had no desire to get involved with the Executor right away.
Not only was he not yet fully familiar with his work as a craftsman but he was also unable to properly obtain information about the room Kaise had hidden.
In this situation it would not be surprising if Lennok’s poorly disguised identity was revealed if he became entangled with Machina’s leading investigative agency.
Here it is more advantageous to leave cleanly leaving only good memories for the executioners.
Lennok who decided that pretended to be relaxed and leaned on the workbench and joked a bit.
“Well if you’re really interested I’d like to just ask your acquaintances to spread the word that this workshop is delicious.”
“You mean the rumor?”
“You two came here through an acquaintance so isn’t word of mouth important in a workshop district like this?”
If you are an acquaintance of the two executors there are no doubt many people with similar positions or skills.
If such people can come and ask Lennok for equipment modification or maintenance and receive compensation for it then it is in line with Lennok’s purpose.
Having conversations like this and receiving the information they know in return was also one of Lennok’s goals as a craftsman.
There is a need to increase contact with key figures in Machine City Machina as much as possible.
However rather than being taken aback by Lennok’s words the two bailiffs exchanged glances as if they had been waiting and smiled strangely.
“…?”
At the moment when Lennok paused slightly in response and quickly turned his head Isabella took out a small business card from her arms and held it out.
“Speaking of which there is something I would like to introduce to you.”
Isabella looked back at Lennok and said in an indifferent voice.
“In the Machine City a ceremony is held to regularly invite skilled craftsmen to compete against each other and give them a glorious name.”
“…Ritual?”
“Meister.”
Isabella spoke softly as if cutting off.
“A name given only to the best craftsmen in the Machine City. Have you ever thought about wanting one?”
