Drug-Eating Genius Mage – 37
by Jessie@AFNCC
The promised day arrived, and Lennok headed to the scheduled location.
The process is not that different from when I first accepted the deal with Dyke.
However is it that the other team members are now not only waiting for him but also waiting for his command?
The five team members who were standing with their backs to the sunset sky looked up when they saw Lennok.
A plateau filled with light red sturdy reeds. The cold barbed wire surrounding it.
This is a common sight in undeveloped areas where civilization has sprouted and then stopped.
“Nice to meet you boss.”
A man with a generous appearance held out his hand with a friendly smile.
“Let’s try our best today.”
Hazer. Close potential. The weapon used is a thick mechanical hammer. It’s a very exciting thing with a booster on the back.
He was a former mercenary who had recently become a freelancer and was working under the same broker as Zod a quiet young man standing right next to him.
After saying hello to Hazer and exchanging eye contact with Zod a young woman wearing a hood snapped at Lennok.
“When are you going to start? “I think we need to settle down quickly to increase our chances of success.”
Lennok glanced at her and answered immediately.
“We will go in after all personnel arrangements have been completed at the city center. “Agria will disrupt the communication network so there won’t be much repercussions if we cause a disturbance once the gang contacts the soldiers.”
“…I don’t know if it doesn’t work out as I said.”
She turned her head and chewed the gum in her mouth.
Kaney. As he appears on the outside he is a freelancer who is not yet 20 years old and is a superpower with the ability to move at high speeds.
He is known for his outstanding combat skills and efficient use of supernatural powers and surprisingly he seems to be receiving work under ‘Madame’.
As soon as Lennok found out he had to be careful not to accidentally mention Mount or Trisha’s name.
In particular it wasn’t strange that Trisha was still bedridden.
“Don’t think too negatively. Didn’t Dyke specify all the detailed plans anyway?”
Allen the smiling witch doctor quietly joined in and said.
“What the commander decides is the timing of the rush and the detailed tactics after the start of the operation… I can fully accept that.”
“That’s right. “We are in a position to strike first anyway so there is no need to be intimidated!”
Hazer shouts loudly and Zod shakes his head behind him.

“……In the end the only thing that can be decided in advance is the first collaboration using each person’s specialties to stir up the game. “Anyway after that we won’t be able to communicate properly because we’ll all be busy fighting.”
Zod’s voice was very quiet but his point itself was very sharp.
It is impossible for a team gathered together for one goal to fight properly in a short period of time.
He had already noticed this simple fact.
Of course if the team members’ level was much higher than now and consisted only of experienced veterans such a magical thing would not be impossible but… Lennok did not expect such perfect teamwork from them in the first place.
Lennok grinned and accepted Zod’s words.
“That’s why we have to accomplish as much as possible in the first move we can work together.”
“……”
“The most important thing is not to choose the timing of entry or to sneak all the way there. A first strike that can be used when the opponent is not aware of our presence. “Whether we succeed or not will determine whether we win or lose.”
Lennok whispered lowly as he made eye contact with the other team members one by one.
“I don’t ask for much. “Let’s not hold each other back.”
“…Is that all you need?”
Although Keini grumbled no one on the team complained about Lennok’s words.
Because everyone had a good understanding of the extent of each person’s role and what to do next.
There was no need for lame words.
Lennok immediately turned around and started walking.
“let’s go.”
