    Chapter Index

The conference ended in an instant, and the wizards who had gathered from different places dispersed.

Lennok who caught a new train at an old station near the castle sat in the same compartment as Aris.

“It was definitely a waste of time.”

    Aris sighed softly and said.

“As it is the capital of the Blarend Magic Tower it was probably not enough to replace the Magnetic Realm. “Theoretical discussion is sufficient but if the level of magicians executing it cannot be uniformly unified it is of no practical use.”

Lennok did not miss the moment when Aris mentioned the magnetic field.

    “The magnetic area means….”

“Ah haven’t you studied up to that point yet?”

In response to Lennok’s natural question Aris briefly explained the magnetic field.

A wizard of level 6 or higher. Among them only a very talented few are allowed to become environmental construction technicians.

It is an optimal position construction concept created for the caster that not only amplifies the power of commonly used magic but also enables the use of higher level techniques.

“It would be quicker to see it than to explain it in words.”

As Aris said that she stretched out her white hand into the air.

Lennok paused at the familiar feeling of magical power and stared at her face.

This sense of déjà vu that completely changes the nature of space.

Was Aris also able to realize and handle the magnetic realm?

    Weeeeeee…!!

Black and blue magic completely different from anything she had ever seen gathered in her hand and soon began to float as a black sphere the size of a fist.

    Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

At first glance it looked like a simple condensation of magic power but Lennok inwardly clicked his tongue when he realized that it was the result of an extremely narrow area.

    ‘That’s amazing….’

Casting an area on top of a moving train also goes against Lennok’s common sense. Not only does it not spread out in a form that includes itself it even shrinks it to the size of a fist and holds it there.

How much talent and sense is needed within the sphere of that seemingly simple realm?

It reminds me of Craig who couldn’t even create the basics of a magnetic realm so he used all kinds of means to build an artificial realm.

Aris Richellen was also a magician who could easily be called a genius in one field.

“If you can materialize and project your own image into an area created in this way you can create unique abilities that go beyond simple techniques.”

    Lennok muttered without realizing it.

    “It’s a projection of an image….”

“I haven’t been able to get it there yet-”

“If abilities in the magnetic field are determined in that way there may be cases where they do not match one’s aptitude.”

Aris’ eyes widened at Lennok’s words.

“that’s right. As expected you understand quickly. Because of that there are some high-ranking wizards who can activate realms but do not necessarily use them in battle.”

    “……”

In short is it necessary to artificially refine one’s mind in order to create the abilities necessary for combat?

    It’s a difficult story.

‘When I get back I’ll have to try some of these out.’

The application method that Aris just showed can be tried by Lennok as well.

In particular the method of concentrating the magic’s amplification power by narrowing the area to a local area seemed like it could be used occasionally even during battle.

While Lennok was lost in thought Aris who canceled the zone by lightly clenching his fist exhaled and leaned back on his chair.

“I worked hard to get inspiration to go up there… but there wasn’t much to gain.”

If Aris said that the answer was clear.

Apart from the research she is doing at university she is looking for an opportunity to advance further.

‘It is a state of projecting images into the magnetic field….’

It was a vague story for Lennok who had only now fully dealt with the change in the nature of magical power and realized the development of the magnetic realm.

But even so it was an area that should never be neglected to find a clue.

In order to go beyond simple survival and find out the fundamental reason for the existence of this world Lennok’s own military power must take priority.

Aris who was staring at Lennok who was lost in thought glanced away.

“…Anyway thank you for accompanying me on this matter. “I never thought I would ask for something like this.”

“it’s okay. “People’s work doesn’t always work out the way they want.”

“As you wish… I guess so.”

Aris said that and turned her head out the window.

“I’m in a situation where I can’t do anything I want to do properly. “You shouldn’t try to do anything on your own.”

    “……..”

Her expression reflected through the darkened window had somehow turned bitter.

Even a genius like her who rose to the rank of high-ranking wizard at a young age must have her own circumstances.

It is not at all strange if there is a story that matches that talent and background.

However instead of listening to her concerns on the spot Lennok silently followed her gaze with his eyes.

I didn’t call Lennok because I wanted answers or comfort.

Lennok knew that there are times when silence is more important.

In the quiet air only the noise of the train echoes softly.

Dabi who was asleep in my arms wriggled silently.

The short two-day trip was coming to an end.
