“And have you saved some for yourself?”

Uncle Sheng pressed further, hoping to find a solution.

Su Wanqing shook her head, a hint of helplessness and regret hidden in that movement, “No.”

Uncle Sheng’s eyebrows locked deeper, he seemed to recall the past, slowly said: “Qi young master from childhood, once you want to eat something, can not eat or taste wrong, the heart is like a root like never forgetting, have to taste that familiar flavor only willing to give up. In the past he would use crying to express dissatisfaction, now well …… temper has become more inscrutable.”

“I’ll go up and make it clear to him, don’t worry, I won’t let you guys get involved.”

Su Wanqing took a deep breath, then lightly slurped a mouthful of soup, that calm and collected, as if no storm could shake her resolve.

She rose and marched upstairs at a determined pace, a strength and independence in her back that could not be ignored.

Before she could step into the bedroom, however, the familiar sound of grumbling had penetrated the doorway and was clearly audible–the

“I knew she wouldn’t take to it!”

Just as he walked to the bedroom door, Qi Zhi Iu’s grumbling voice met his face like a cold wind, and the disappointment and displeasure in those words were like the cold ice of winter, piercing and cold.

“A simple bowl of water is so perfunctory ……”

His words were full of loss and dissatisfaction, as if they were an indictment of the imperfections of the world.

“Young Master Qi, it’s probably because your sense of taste is a bit off after drinking.”

On the side, a young maid gathered her courage and tried to defend Su Wanqing.

Her words, though slight, revealed a persistence and courage that could not be ignored.

Obviously the noodles were full of aroma and drew praise from the kitchen downstairs, so why did they become the object of so much nitpicking when they arrived at Young Master Qi’s place?

    “Try saying that again?”

Qi Zhi Iu’s gaze was cold, as deep as a cold pool, sweeping that little maid with unquestionable majesty, a symbol of authority that could not be challenged.

The young maid was shocked by the icy gaze and involuntarily hid behind the old maid, Li Ma, like a deer seeking shelter, her eyes full of fear.

“Young Master Qi, Xiao Zhou is just ……” Li Ma tried to ease the atmosphere, and before she finished her words, she was interrupted by a stern.

“Shut up, did I tell you to talk?”

Qi Zhi Iu angrily shouted, her voice carrying an irrefutable majesty, “Li Ma, if you don’t want to do it anymore, I can immediately settle the wages and let you go!”

Those words, cold and direct, left no mercy.

    “This ……”

Li Ma lowered her head, did not dare to squeak, her aged body looked particularly fragile at that moment, the years carved deep grooves in her face, the traces of the experience of the wind and rain, but also the helpless submission to life.

“You have a problem with me, don’t take it out on them.”

Su Wanqing stepped into the room at the right time, and her appearance seemed like a warm spring breeze that instantly blew away the coldness in the room.

With a subtle gesture, she signaled for Li Ma to lead the maids away, her eyes full of concern and protection for her subordinates.

“Young lady, take care of yourself ……”

When Li Ma passed by Su Wanqing, she purposely lowered her voice and reminded in a serious tone, “Young Master’s wine doesn’t seem to have sobered up yet.”

That simple sentence contained a deep concern for the young lady and an uneasiness about the unknown future.
