Chapter 0026 Public Opinion (2 / 2)
by Jessie@AFNCCThere was a hint of helplessness in his words.
The date on the newspaper confirmed that what he said was not false, but since it was not a mainstream media, coupled with the fact that Boss Fang’s financial and social status was only upper-middle class, public opinion had not yet made too many waves. However, Su Wanqing knew that if someone operated maliciously, the situation would be completely different.
Her voice turned serious, “Is Mrs. Fang usually particularly interested in entertainment reports?”
Fang Zhi wiped the sweat on her forehead from anxiety or summer heat and replied, “As a full-time wife, apart from taking care of her family, she spends most of her time playing mahjong and shopping with those broad wives for fun. She naturally pays attention to these showbiz news for a while.”
This explanation sounded reasonable, and Su Wanqing had trouble making a definitive judgment for a while. She turned her head to look at Qi Zhiyu beside her, “You said in the hospital that you would handle this matter, right?”
“That’s right, first cooperate with the police by making a statement. Other issues, leave it to me.”
Qi Zhi Iu nodded slightly and nodded to the policewoman waiting not far away, signaling that she was ready to begin.
Receiving an affirmative reply, Su Wanqing decided to let go and left with the female police officer.
As she made her way to the interrogation room, she caught a glimpse of Mrs. Fang sitting dejectedly, her formerly delicate makeup messed up by tears and anger, her cheeks slightly swollen.
“She was beaten by her husband.”
The policewoman stepped aside and quietly clarified, “According to her husband, it was your company that stepped in to help him avoid a large order that he almost defaulted on.”
“It’s true.”
Su Wanqing frankly admitted it without a hint of concealment.
She then moved with the policewoman into the adjacent reception room, and in but a few moments, the statement was completed.
When he passed the interrogation room again, it was empty.
“Bailed out and taken away by Boss Fong.”
The policewoman’s words came.
Su Wanqing looked at the sound, only to see Qi Zhi Iu extinguished his cigarette and slowly walked towards her, there seemed to be a few points of dissatisfaction in his eyes. She hurriedly explained, “YG has just passed the centennial celebration, at this time, if public opinion rises, I’m afraid it will do more harm than good.”
“She hurt you and you’re actually going to let her go?”
Qi Zhiyu raised an eyebrow, a subtle skepticism hidden in his tone.
“It’s just a misunderstanding, no need to pursue it too much.”
Su Wanqing’s tone was calm and subdued.
Qi Zhi Iu’s eyes sunk slightly, and a few points of sarcasm were mixed into his seemingly serious words, “You really have a big heart!”
“The Fang family’s payment for the goods is still outstanding, perhaps, this incident will make Boss Fang realize something and be willing to pay more.”
The corners of Su Wanqing’s lips rose slightly, her tone firm and confident.
“There you go!”
Qi Zhiyu glanced at her helplessly and turned to ask, “Do you have any plans for the afternoon?”
Su Wanqing thought for a moment, first shaking her head, then nodding, “Well, there is an arrangement.”
“Oh?”
Qi Zhiyu’s eyes tightened, “Are you sure?”
“I’m traveling tomorrow and I need to prepare the information.”
Su Wanqing replied without thinking, but in her heart, she was secretly glad that she was able to use this to avoid being alone with Qi Zhiyu.
“Okay.”
Qi Zhi Iu didn’t press the issue, just waved his hand, pointed toward the door, and said with his pockets in, “Let’s go.”
On the way back, the car was silent, only the sound of the wheels gently crushing the road.
Arriving at the Misty Wells residence, Su Wanqing had just gotten out of the car when it restarted and gradually moved away from sight.
“Can you move over, please?”
The worker replacing the floor-to-ceiling windows carried the heavy glass and politely asked to get out of the way.
