    Chapter Index

Su Wanqing hung her head down, and was taking a pre-dinner nap.

At the sound, she instantly woke up.

At the dining table, Elder Qi, with a kind face, gently inquired, “Didn’t sleep well last night?”

She nodded softly, her mind drifting back to the soup that had been specially prepared for her last night, and shook her head again.

Jin Qin walked in slowly on Qi father’s hand, and with a glance she captured her slightly tired demeanor, “Wanqing, you’re up so early today.”

    “Uh-huh.”

She responded lightly, but in reality, it was because of the hunger in her belly, coupled with her unwillingness to face the endless entanglements that might arise from being alone with Qi Zhi Iu.

Jin Qin’s gaze swept around, “Where is Young Master Qi? Still sleeping?”

On the side, Housekeeper Qi was leading the servants to set up breakfast and hurriedly answered, “Young Master Qi went out for a morning jog.”

    “Morning run?”

When Jin Qin heard this, her eyes flashed with surprise, “It’s really rare.”

After marrying into the Qi family for many years, this was really the first time she had encountered such a scene.

Having just taken her seat, Kim Chin’s words changed.

“Wanqing, Jiajia was a bit rowdy last night, so don’t take it to heart.”

    “Did something happen last night?”

Elder Qi wiped the corners of his mouth and looked at Su Wanqing with a grave gaze, inquiring.

Su Wanqing knew in her heart that Jin Qin’s words were testing the state of her relationship with Qi Zhiyu.

    “It’s just a little misunderstanding.”

After all, in the Qi family, her role was only that of a contract wife. Once she officially becomes the Qi family’s youngest wife, in the future, the mother and son will not only face the threat of Qi Zhiyu alone.

“Since it’s a small matter, it’s good to talk about it.”

Elder Qi listened, no longer pursuing the question, pointing to the breakfast in front of her urged, “Quickly eat while hot, cold can not be delicious.”

“Butler Qi, go and rush that boy Jenn, don’t let him delay breakfast!”

At that moment, Kijia stepped into the dining room and grabbed a piece of toast, “Where did Ergo go?”

    “Morning run.”

Qijiajia sniffed and muttered, “Is this sun coming out of the west?”

“Your second brother works a lot on weekdays, it’s only right to exercise.”

Jin Qin handed Qi Jiajia a cup of milk as she spoke, her words full of favor, “It’s you, why don’t you go practice yoga lately?”

    “No company, lazy!”

    Kijiaka pouted.

“The company’s anniversary celebration has come to an end, Wanqing, do you have any free time lately?”

Jin Qin suddenly changed her words and directed the topic to Su Wanqing.

“There’s a backlog of work on hand, all of which have needed to be dealt with one by one recently.”

    Her tone was calm.

Jin Qin said with concern, “I see that your face is also not very good, although the work is important, but the body can not be ignored as well.”

    “I will, at your expense.”

Su Wanqing’s reply was as if a spring breeze had brushed the surface of the water, calm and indifferent, with an imperceptible warmth contained in her voice.

“If you have the time, why don’t you let Jia’er accompany you to work out?” Jin Qin made the suggestion to herself, a hint of shrewdness and anticipation flickering in her eyes, as if she was planning a silent layout.

“It just so happens that she can’t find company these days. You two, you’re just right for each other.”

There was a hint of an unrefusable undertone in the words, an attempt to turn this seemingly casual offer into an inevitable arrangement.

Su Wanqing’s heart couldn’t help but sink, behind that faint smile, there was an unknown worry hidden.
