    Episode 86

As Zeke returned to the waiting room Farrell shouted excitedly.

“Sir Zeke! It’s the semifinals. Just two more wins and you’re the winner.”

    Zig nodded at Farrell’s words.

“It’s all thanks to Sir Farrell.”

Zeke answered with a smile and looked at Felix and Liam who were lying down next to him.

“Why are you both doing that?”

I could understand that Liam would be depressed after losing to Rayna but I couldn’t understand why Felix who had advanced to the semifinals was acting like that.

Felix looked up and said to Zeke.

“Uh-huh― Master. My next opponent is Elin Sabrina. How can I fight someone who is almost on par with the Master?”

Felix groaned as he confronted Elin.

Zeke hit Felix hard on the back.

“Kwaaah! Master it seems like your palm is getting spicier by the day!”

Zeke clicked his tongue and said to Felix.

“Go and show all your skills. If you do it half-heartedly it will be closed training.”

    Felix jumped at Zeke’s words.

“No! Even though Liam-senpai lost he didn’t make me do the closed-door training! He said he only made me do it! Isn’t Master being too favoritism!”

Felix who received another blow to the back from Zeke instead of answering writhed in pain his whole body twisting.

After the scheduled break Zeke and Felix went back out onto the field.

The semi-finals were about to begin.

The first match of the semi-finals was between Zeke and Reyna.

Zeke and Reina stood facing each other on the arena swords in hand.

As the two entered the stadium the cheers were thunderous.

The Turun family’s riders cheered Reina on beating huge drums.

In response Agamemnon and the Graham family waved their family banners frantically hoping for Zeke’s good fortune.

    Zeke said looking at Reina.

“It’s the first time since I got accepted in the cradle evaluation.”

By then Zeke had surpassed Reina several times faster.

The youngest Blue Knight promoted on the continent and the youngest Valhalla graduate.

Reina silently grabbed her sword and aimed it at Zeke.

Zeke also took out Bahamut and aimed it at Reyna.

As soon as the game started Reina was the first to run towards Zeke.

    Wheeeeeek!

Using her tremendous momentum Reina swung her sword at Zeke as if in a flash.

    visor!

Reina’s sword and Zeke’s sword clashed sending sparks flying.

    “Haaaah!”

Reina unleashed a barrage of powerful attacks on Zeke radiating tremendous spirit.

Even without using an aura the power of each sword strike was enough to shake the surrounding atmosphere.

Zeke calmly blocked Reina’s sword and defended firmly.

He would sometimes deflect the sword strikes with force sometimes gently and sometimes strongly and would counterattack without fail whenever he saw an opening.

    Phew!

As Zeke’s sword flew towards her side Reina jumped back and retreated.

    Zeke didn’t miss that opportunity.

Zeke’s whirlwind spread out towards Reina.

Reina clenched her teeth and spread her arms likewise.

Reina swung her sword with both hands with all her might to knock away Zeke’s sword that was cutting through the air then spun around and swung her sword straight at Zeke’s body.

It was an application of the action of a counterattack that strikes off the horns of a charging bull and then dives straight in to stab the bull’s heart to the Yongsal method.

Zeke’s body shook for a moment at Reina’s powerful counterattack.

    Whirlwind

    Welcome message

    Heo Hyeong-hwan

It was an upgraded version of the high-speed movement skill that Zeke had previously acquired.

As the heteromorphic form unfolded Zeke’s figure disappeared leaving only an afterimage and Reina’s sword cut through the air in vain.

    ‘Hey where are you?’

Reina looked around but couldn’t see Zeke.

At that moment Zeke’s shadow loomed above.

Reina quickly raised her sword to block Zeke’s attack.

    Kwakwakwang!

However Zeke did not attack Reina with his sword and just went down.

Thanks to that Reina’s black balloon that was raised above her head stopped floating.

Zick who was leaning close to the floor of the stadium took advantage of her opening.

Zeke lowering his posture aimed Bahamut at Reina’s empty neck.

It was a complete defeat for Reina.

    “Zeke Draker wins!”

Reina failed to surpass Zeke this time either.

She put down her sword and looked at Zeke.

“I will never give up next time.”

After she took the sword she confidently went down to the stadium.

Zeke snickered as he looked at Reina like that.

‘As expected of a knight of lightning. Maybe he will become stronger than in his previous life.’

Zeke came down from the stadium amidst thunderous cheers.

And then the next game started right away.

Felix went up onto the pitch in a death pose.

Helen was looking at Zeke who was sitting in the waiting area behind Felix.

Zeke smiled inwardly as he looked at Helen who was looking at him.

‘Now is not the time for you to be looking at me.’

Felix was always a bully but his potential was extraordinary.

If he had been able to use his aura it would have been difficult to last more than ten seconds against Helen but if it had only been a swordsmanship duel the results could have been unexpected.

    “Felix Valencia! Elin Sabrina!”

The two men aimed their swords at each other and prepared for a duel.

The gong rang to signal the start of the game.

    That was when.

Surprisingly Felix was the first to step forward and lunge at Helen.

    Phew!

Helen who had not paid much attention to Felix’s skills was startled by the sudden sharp sword strike and swung her sword.

    Pachin!

Helen was surprised by the sword strike which was heavier than she had expected.

Felix’s black foundation as seen in the previous quarterfinals was solid.

But I thought it would be difficult to use it properly against myself.

But when we actually clashed swords my thoughts changed.

‘If it had hit me right my wrist might have been cut off.’

Felix had thought he would win easily only thinking about the confrontation with Zeke. Helen straightened her posture at the unexpectedly strong sword.

At the same time Helen’s mood changed.

Felix also drew his sword towards his chest and took a deep breath as Helen’s ceremonial stance reminded him of a solid steel wall.

Since both Felix and Helen used orthodox swordsmanship their offense and defense were well balanced.

    This time Helen struck first.

    Phew!

A heavy sword strike flew low towards Felix’s lower body.

Felix avoided Helen’s attacks by moving his position clockwise without disturbing his basic stance and then rushed forward and swung his sword.

As expected it was a clean movement that looked like something out of a textbook.

Zeke could sense traces of Agamemnon’s golden swordsmanship in Felix’s swordsmanship.

‘You may have joked around but you’ve really absorbed the skills of your elders.’

Helen took up her stance again and parried Felix’s sword strike.

Both Felix and Helen’s wrists were sore from the intense force.

    “Hoooo.”

Felix took a deep breath and regained his composure.

Helen frowned as she watched Felix’s posture which was just as defensive as her own.

‘I now understand the position of the enemies who faced me.’

Hidden within the seemingly monotonous defense was a sharp counterattack.

If you just blindly charge in your attack will be blocked immediately and there is a high chance that you will be counterattacked.

If I could use Aura I could have broken down that defense with my steel sword but it seemed difficult with just swordsmanship.

Helen also took up her sword and caught her breath.

‘I will become a strong steel sword that can pierce through walls.’

Zeke who was watching this was shocked.

‘Helen Draker is already looking forward to the realm of divine union.’

Becoming one with the sword was like opening the door to becoming a red knight beyond the blue.

Helen tried to break down Felix’s defenses by turning herself into a steel sword.

Her body was instantly thrown out.

    Wheeeeeek!

It was as if a giant sword was flying towards Felix.

Felix focused his mind and aimed his sword at Helen.

    Agamemnon style golden sword

    Counterattack

    rainbow reflection

It was the most powerful counterattack learned from the elders of the Agamemnon family.

Helen clenched her teeth and prepared to counterattack as she watched Felix’s sword slash away and thrust forward.

Application of the dragon killing method

    Steel machine

    Armor Flip

    Kkwaddudduk!

The counter that Felix had thrown went back into the counter.

    “Cough!”

There was no time to adjust the strength. In the end Helen’s sword struck Felix’s side.

Felix fell to the ground bleeding his sword still in his hand.

Then paramedics outside the stadium quickly came up.

Then he poured the potion he was holding directly onto Felix’s wound.

    Cheeeeek!

It was a very effective potion so the wound from Helen’s sword quickly bubbled and healed.

Helen felt the hand holding her sword tremble as she looked at the fallen Felix.

‘If I had done something wrong it would have been me who would have suffered.’

    Felix’s counterattack was that sharp.

Felix was soon carried out by paramedics and Helen was declared the winner of the semi-finals.

Even after the match was over the stadium was filled with cheers calling out Elin and Felix’s names.

    “Elin! Elin!”

    “Felix! Felix!”

The audience was impressed by the two players’ tremendous performance.

Gareth came up onto the heated pitch.

    He shouted at the audience.

“The final championship match of the Draker Martial Arts Tournament will be held at the Grand Stadium next week!”

The Grand Stadium which marks the end of the Draker Martial Arts Tournament each year is filled with thousands of spectators as well as leading figures from the Draker Bloodlines.

Gareth pointed to Zeke and Helen and called them up onto the pitch.

    He pointed to Zeke first.

    “Zeke Draker!”

As soon as the name was called cheers rang out from the families supporting Zeke.

And this time Gareth pointed towards Helen.

    “Elin Saab…..”

Then she raised her hand and stopped Gareth from speaking.

And then she stepped forward and shouted to the stadium crowd.

“My name is not Elin Sabrina.”

The audience began to stir at those sudden words.

    She opened her mouth again.

“My name is Helen Draker. I am one of Draker’s pure-blood Awoken and one of his direct blood relatives. I am one of Draker’s Blue Knights.”

At her words one of the audience members stood up and shouted.

    “Helen Draker! The Steel Knight!”

“Oh my goodness. Are you talking about the steel knight who wiped out all the outlaws in the central region?”

“The steel knight famous for not showing his face is coming to the martial arts tournament!”

The audience was abuzz with excitement at Helen Draker’s appearance.

She drew her sword and shouted.

“I Helen Draker will give it my all in the Draker Martial Arts Tournament against Zeke Draker. To that end I ask that you reconsider the rule that prohibits the use of Aurors in the championship match!”

The audience cheered at Helen Draker’s words.

It made no sense to ban Aurors from a duel between two pureblood Drakes that shook the continent.

Zeke looked at Helen and inwardly admired her.

‘I only knew him as a very stuffy performer but I didn’t know the Steel Knight had this side to him.’

It was Helen who took over after Kali died in her previous life.

She had a hidden political bent that even she herself was unaware of.

    The audience chanted for Gareth.

    “Auror allowed! Auror allowed!”

“Give the ban on aurors to monsters!”

As the heat grew the organizers of the martial arts competition also held a hasty meeting.

Since the rules had been made to favor Edward Siemens anyway there was no need to maintain the no-Auror rule while he was out so the committee decided to follow public opinion.

Gareth nodded and made his announcement after receiving the news from the committee.

“The championship match has been changed to allow the use of Aura!”

The audience cheered at those words.

Zeke and Helen looked at each other with sharp eyes.

    “It won’t be easy.”

    “I’ll be waiting.”

The semi-finals ended with the audience’s passionate enthusiasm.

And there were those who watched all of this quietly from the far corner of the stadium.

“So who do you think will win Arthur?”

The Duke asked Arthur Draker who was wearing his robes pulled down low.

Arthur said rising from his seat.

“It doesn’t matter who wins. Only the winner matters.”

The Duke clicked his tongue as he watched Arthur walk away staggering away after saying that.

“I love the way the corners of your lips twitch that bravado.”

Duke looked at Zeke on the field smiled and followed Arthur out.
