    Episode 84

    Kookookookook!

Several knights lost their balance and fell as the waves shook the connected lines.

Zeke and Helen bounced off the ends and ended up on the poles with the rope hanging from them.

Helen took up her sword and took up her stance.

Then he immediately jumped into the air and swung his sword at Zeke.

Helen swung her sword with the intent of splitting Zeke in half.

Zeke lifted Bahamut and blocked Helen’s sword.

    Pachin!

Bahamut and Helen’s swords clashed with a sharp sound.

Zeke clenched his teeth at the energy he felt from Helen’s sword.

‘If it weren’t for Bahamut the sword would have been cut.’

Bahamut was able to withstand Helen’s steel attack because it had the property of being indestructible.

    “Haat!”

Zeke deflected Helen’s sword with a roar.

And then he kicked the pillar and ran straight towards Helen swinging his sword at her.

    Whirlwind

    Wind blowing

The wind chime that Duke taught him wasn’t just a magic trick.

A swordsmanship technique that combines the application of the Yongsal method with the Bobeop method and is performed using the power of a body trained to the extreme.

That was the true secret of the whirlwind.

Helen who was lifted into the air by Zeke’s sharp sword twisted her body while holding the sword tightly.

Then he spread the aura all over his body.

In the previous life that Zeke saw Helen Draker was known for her swordsmanship that was more focused on defense than offense.

As if to prove its fame Zeke’s wind slash scattered without penetrating Helen’s strong defense.

Both Zeke and Helen stood on the rope line again swords pointed at each other and facing each other.

All the audience was focused on the high-level match between the two.

“As expected of Zeke Draker. He has the skills of a genius the best on the continent.”

“Who is Ellen Sabrina? Was there another knight with such great skills other than Rayna Draker?”

Zeke and Helen closed the distance ignoring the commotion of the onlookers.

It was about the time when the distance between us was close enough for our swords to touch.

    Jeeeeing!

The sound of the gong rang out loudly.

Before we knew it the game time was over.

Gareth came onto the pitch and declared the game over.

“This concludes the second round of the main tournament. The third round will be held with the remaining eight players.”

A total of eight people including four members of Zeke’s group and three members of Siemens’ side including Helen and Edward competed in the quarterfinals.

Zeke and Helen lowered their swords aimed at each other.

Zeke thought for a moment and then said to Helen.

“I look forward to seeing you again in Game 3 Helen Draker.”

Helen was surprised when Zeke told her his real name.

    “…Did you know that?”

“But even though we are brothers wouldn’t we at least know each other’s faces?”

    Actually I didn’t know.

If I hadn’t seen Helen Drake’s portrait in a past life I wouldn’t have recognized her.

Helen nodded and bowed as she looked at Zig.

    She told Zeke.

    “See you in game 3.”

Zeke and Helen came down from the wrestling ring to the cheers of the audience.

Agamemnon’s camp cheered and called out Zick’s name.

    “Zeke! Zeke!”

Zeke came out of the stadium waving to the audience.

After the second match Zeke and his group gathered at the mansion and took a long-awaited rest.

And the next day Catherine found out the subject of the third game.

“As expected it’s going to be a tournament.”

Farrell nodded as if he had expected that.

Zeke also agreed with Farrell’s words.

“There are eight people left so it looks like we’ll have a quarterfinals semifinals and finals.”

    Catherine nodded.

“That’s right. Since the third match will be open to the general public it would be best to hold it as a tournament.”

    Farrell smiled at Zeke.

“If it’s a tournament Sir Zeke’s victory is almost certain. There’s no contestant who can defeat Sir Zeke the blue knight in a one-on-one fight.”

Zeke tilted his head at Farrell’s words.

“That’s a bit odd. I thought Siemens would choose a stock that would be more advantageous to Edward.”

    Then Catherine said to Zeke.

“Actually there is one rule to this tournament.”

At those words Zeke nodded with an expression that said “As expected.”

    “What are the rules?”

Catherine said with a slightly embarrassed expression.

“That’s… the basic rule is that the use of auras is prohibited and only the power of the body is used to fight.”

At those words Farrell jumped to his feet.

“No! What kind of ridiculous rule is that! It prohibits the use of auras!”

Since it is possible to participate starting from the Purple Knight there is an unspoken rule that you cannot use the Auror Blade but there has never been a case where the Auror itself was not used.

But rather Zeke was not surprised.

    She told Zeke.

“I guess you expected that Sir Zeke.”

    He nodded.

“I didn’t think Siemens would hold a normal tournament. But I didn’t know they would come up with a rule banning the use of Auras.”

It was an open attempt to restrain the blue knight Zeke.

Edward was six years older than Zeke who was seventeen so he was far ahead of him in physical growth and maturity.

If we look at only physical abilities excluding Auror Edward had calculated that he would have the advantage in the fight.

Zeke stood up from his seat calming down the displeased Farrell.

“Sir Farel don’t worry too much. Even if you can’t use your Aura if you apply the traditional swordsmanship you learned together with me you will be able to defeat Edward’s spearmanship.”

At those words Farrell jumped up with the aforementioned expression on his face.

“I’ll help you train as much as you want until the match against Sir Zeke! Just leave it to me!”

    “Thank you Sir Farrell.”

After the meeting to prepare for the martial arts tournament Zeke sneaked out of the mansion late at night.

It was because an urgent message came from none other than Kay.

He secretly went to Atlas to find Kay’s secret place.

The Beecher was a mansion of enormous proportions.

Kay rose to the top of the syndicate that controls the Southern Cartel much faster than in his previous life.

When Zeke arrived the first one to greet him was Payne.

    “Welcome Master.”

Zeke shook hands with Payne warmly.

“Are you getting used to your new surroundings?”

Payne smiled awkwardly at Zeke’s words.

“I’m a bit taken aback by the sudden assignment to such a big role but I’m trying hard to learn so as not to become like that.”

Payne has been given the position of CEO of a new pharmaceutical company that Zick is preparing.

In the shade Kay would run the syndicate while in the sun Payne would take charge of external activities.

“Did you have any difficulties during the preparation process?”

    Payne said with a smile.

“I think it’s probably more difficult for Kay than for me. Let’s get started.”

Zeke entered Kay’s office with Payne.

The office was in a word a mess.

All kinds of paperwork were piled up all over her office.

And inside Kay was reviewing the documents with a blank expression.

    “K what is all this?”

Kay raised her head and looked up at Zeke.

    “Ugh.”

Kay who made eye contact with Zeke let out a strange noise and slumped down.

Then Payne approached Kay in a familiar manner and handed him a potion of recovery from fatigue.

Kay drank the potion in one gulp and took a breath.

“Ahhh. Thank you senpai. If it weren’t for this I would have already died from overwork.”

“I’m glad my minor is alchemy.”

Since they were both wizards Paynen and Kay seemed to have decided to call each other senior and junior.

Kay said as she looked at Zeke while taking another sip of the potion.

“You must be busy with the martial arts competition how did you find the time?”

“I came as quickly as possible because you said it was urgent.”

“Uh-huh. Okay. Let’s take a break. I’ll have the tea come over right away.”

Zeke and Kay Payne moved into the living room and sat on the sofa.

Zig asked Kay savoring the scent of the tea.

“Did you send an urgent message because you had a lot of paperwork to do?”

    Then Kay shook her head.

“That’s a problem but there’s an even bigger problem.”

“Is there a problem with the cartel?”

“No. Simon is controlling the cartel well. The reconstruction of the Kingdom of Cuzco is also going smoothly.”

    “Then what’s the problem?”

    Kay pointed to Zeke.

    “It’s you.”

Then he handed a document to Zeke.

Zeek’s expression hardened as he opened the documents.

“…The Imperial Intelligence Service and Draker’s Dark Stage are simultaneously investigating the southern part?”

    Kay nodded.

“To be precise the intelligence agency is looking for the one who destroyed the Favela Cartel camp and the black stage is looking for the one who destroyed Don Juan.”

In the end both groups were saying they were after Zeke.

Zeke had a point about the Imperial Intelligence Service looking for him.

    ‘Cain Siemens Constantine.’

A suspicious figure who is a member of the imperial family and possesses the ancient Hersion.

Zeke killed him and took Hersion from the Imperial human experimentation site he discovered in Favela’s camp.

Given that he was using the name of the Imperial Family and had a special Hersion there was a high probability that he was an important figure in the Empire which would have been enough reason for the Empire’s Intelligence Service to be chasing after Zeke.

But at the same time Zeke had no idea what was going on with Draker’s dark stage.

‘Why is the dark stage chasing me?’

As Zeke looked closely at the materials on the black stage Kay said.

“There’s no need to think about why the Dark Stage is chasing you. That’s just how it is.”

    Zeke nodded at Kay’s words.

The Dark Stage Drake’s eyes and ears was a group of people who were extremely persistent in seeking out and digging up all the information on the continent.

Zeke frowned when he realized that the Information Agency and the Dark Stage were after him.

    ‘It’s getting a bit annoying.’

Although Zeke didn’t leave any traces of himself if you keep digging you might find evidence that he accidentally left behind.

If we dig into that we might eventually reach Zeke.

    Kay said to Zeke.

“If you’re worried should I tell Simon and have him kill any spies he sees in the South?”

Payne who was standing next to him looked a little surprised as if she wasn’t used to Kay’s words.

Zeke clicked his tongue as he looked at Kay like that.

“What kind of cartel are we? Just kill them all for following us.”

    Payne sighed at Zeke’s words.

For someone who was a senior and junior to the queen of the underworld he was quite petty.

Kay also nodded at Zeke’s words.

“That’s true. Even if the Information Agency guys are like that the Black Stage guys aren’t the type of people who will give in easily just because a few guys are killed.”

Rather they were the ones who would light a fire in my eyes and follow me even harder.

“Just leave it alone for now and keep me informed of the situation. If any evidence comes out that can identify me then we can make a move.”

    “Okay. I’ll tell Simon.”

“How’s the Black Yaksha? Is he adjusting well in the South?”

“That guy was the one who asked for this information anyway. Since he’s from the Intelligence Service he’s good at asking for information leaked from the Empire. He likes Simon because he does a good job.”

“Wow. It was worth it to take him out without killing him.”

    Then Kay said to Zeke.

    “And there’s one more problem.”

    “What problem?”

Kay poked Payne in the ribs.

Then Payne spoke to Zeke with a troubled expression.

“That’s it. There’s some trouble with the alchemist I hired this time.”

    “From the alchemist’s side?”

“Yes. They were the ones we invited to develop new drugs using Soma but they suddenly announced they would go on strike and are not conducting any research at all.”

    “Huh?”

I knew alchemists were tricky but I never thought they would go on strike.

    Zeke asked Payne.

“Is there a reason for the sudden strike?”

    Then Payne spoke cautiously.

“Actually I invited new alchemists this time but their personalities are a bit….”

    Zeke shook his head.

“No. What is the alchemist complaining about?”

    Payne answered seeming embarrassed.

“First of all they are not alchemists but alchemists.”

    “Alchemists?”

Something occurred to Zeke as he heard Payne’s words.

“Could it be that those alchemists are twins?”

    “How did you know?”

Zeke made a subtle expression at Payne’s answer.

‘Those guys. The genius twin alchemists. Brothers Al and Jeff.’
