    Episode 78

    “Oh Angelina!”

Catherine was startled and ran towards the bed.

Angelina’s skin which had been full of stinking pus was clean.

Catherine was moved to tears at the sight of Angelina’s lush lustrous golden hair.

“Angelina! Are you of sound mind?”

Angelina slowly opened her eyes sat up and looked at Catherine.

    “Mother. What is this?”

Catherine sobbed as she held Angelina who had regained consciousness.

    “My daughter! Our Angelina!”

The duke who heard the news also hurried into the room.

He too was shocked and started sobbing when he saw the cured Angelina.

Zeke slowly left the room after seeing Catherine and the Duke like that.

‘With this I guess we can say that the Graham family has secured it.’

Early the next day Catherine came to the room where Zeke was staying.

“Sir Zeke. I really don’t know how I can repay this favor…”

Catherine’s attitude toward Zeke who lifted Angelina’s curse changed one hundred and eighty degrees.

Zeke looked at Catherine and smirked.

“Can you help me with this martial arts competition?”

At those words Catherine covered her mouth and laughed.

“Sir Zeke is that all? I will do whatever I can to help you in the name of the Graham family.”

Farrell looked incredulous at Catherine’s appearance who reigned over the social world with absolute charisma.

After Catherine left Farrell approached Zeke and asked

“Did you really lift the curse on Lady Angelina?”

Zick said with a faint smile and the sign of the cross.

“It is all the will of the sun god.”

The central and eastern regions of the Central Continent were places where the influence of the Holy Empire was deeply rooted.

Most of the nobles were believers in the Church of the Sun and Farel was also a devout believer.

‘With his outstanding skills and sincere faith he can even drive away curses. He is a role model for all knights.’

Farrell’s respect for Zeke grew even more.

Afterwards Zeke and his group were invited to have lunch together by Catherine.

When Pharrell and Felix went to the dinner venue they felt their hearts stop beating at the sight of a beautiful woman they had never seen before.

Golden hair that flows like dusk skin as smooth and white as porcelain and mysterious purple eyes that look like stars.

It was like an incarnation of a beautiful goddess from mythology.

    “Oh my god…..”

Farrell who had a beauty that was second to none in the world found himself looking for God without even realizing it.

At that moment Felix was equally shocked as Farrell was amazed.

His head was filled with dozens and hundreds of poems praising her beauty.

‘No words like these cannot express that beauty!’

Unlike Felix’s despair Zeke simply nodded and greeted him without any change in expression.

    Then she approached Zeke.

“Sir Zeke Draker. Angelina Graham sends her regards.”

That shockingly beautiful beauty was none other than Angelina.

After being completely freed from the curse by Zeke’s power and returning to her original form she was able to regain her outstanding beauty.

Zeke opened his mouth as he looked at her.

    “I’m glad you look healthy.”

Farrell and Felix looked at Ziggy with expressions of disbelief.

‘How can he be so aloof in front of a woman who is like a reincarnation of the goddess of beauty? Sir Zeke is truly a knight among knights.’

Felix had a slightly different idea than Farrell.

‘Master. Surely it’s not GoX right?’

At that time the Duke and Catherine as well as other members of the Graham family all gathered together.

They approached Zeke kissed the back of his hand and expressed their gratitude.

Zeke and his party were treated with great hospitality as the most honored guests of the Graham family.

After dinner Angelina asked Zeke to take a walk in the garden with her.

He accepted the invitation without thinking and walked in the garden with Angelina.

Even though Angelina felt like the surroundings were brightening up just by walking Zeke didn’t really have any thoughts.

‘I don’t see any particular side effects from the curse.’

I was just worried that the remnants of the curse might remain and cause problems in the transaction.

As they walked through the garden checking to see if there was anything uncomfortable about Angelina Angelina said to Zeke.

“How old is Sir Zeke this year?”

    “I’m seventeen.”

Angelina was secretly pleased to learn that Zeke and she were not that much older than each other.

‘A two year age difference is something that can be overcome.’

To her Zig now looked like a prince on a white horse.

A knight among knights who saved himself from a curse with divine power.

Not only does he have a good family background and the best skills on the continent he is also handsome.

Angelina started walking again calming her pounding heart next to Zeke with a shy expression.

Then Zeke looked at Angelina and said.

“Is there anyone you can expect to see?”

Angelina looked taken aback by the sudden words.

    “yes?”

Zeke said with a cold expression.

“Someone who can put a curse on you.”

For a moment Angelina was startled by Zeke’s cold gaze.

And then I was left with delusions and didn’t know how to control my fluttering heart.

‘Could it be… that Sir Zeke is angry at the thug who put a curse on me?’

Angelina had been sick since she was young and had little experience in the world.

The relationships between men and women she thought of were limited to stories about knights and princesses in fairy tales.

Because of this he had a serious misunderstanding of Zeke’s thoughts which were full of thoughts of finding the target of the curse and completely drawing the Graham family to his side.

Angelina who completely misunderstood Zeke’s words looked at Zeke and said.

“Sir Zeke I am fine. It is in the past. Your kindness alone is enough.”

Zig asked in surprise at those words.

“Yes? Aren’t you going to get revenge?”

Angelina said with a calm smile.

    “Revenge only breeds revenge.”

I thought I had a kind and beautiful smile but it actually cost me points with Zeke.

‘What kind of comforting words are those when you almost died from a curse?’

To others Angelina might have seemed like the most beautiful person in the world but to Zeke she was nothing more or less than a victim of a curse who cried out in pain.

He clicked his tongue inwardly as he looked at Angelina who had an expression on her face as if she knew nothing about the world.

‘Tsk tsk. How are you going to survive in this cruel world like that? Oh it doesn’t matter since you have a lot of money at home.’

Angelina was dreaming of a rosy future with him completely unaware of Zeke’s feelings.

“Are you talking about throwing spears?”

Farrell who was hearing information about the preliminary round of the martial arts competition from Catherine was surprised by the unexpected selection of events.

Zeke who was sitting next to him asked Farrell.

“Sir Farrell is it any wonder that javelin throwing was chosen as a qualifying event?”

    Then Farrell shook his head.

“No. I was just surprised because it was such an ordinary and plain item.”

Although most knights use swords spears were actually one of the basic weapons they learned.

There javelin throwing was one of the sports particularly enjoyed by the middle-class.

However since it was a safe event that did not particularly benefit anyone it was difficult to find it in Drake Martial Arts Tournaments.

Catherine nodded after hearing Farrell’s words.

“It wasn’t a simple javelin throw as Sir Farrell had expected.”

Farrell asked back surprised by Catherine’s words.

“If it’s not just a javelin throw… is it a horse race?”

    Catherine shook her head.

“It’s a javelin throw but the distance is different than usual. You have to throw it extremely far.”

    “It’s really far?”

    Catherine nodded in response.

“Yes. From what I heard the target will be on the other side of the mountain.”

“Are you talking about beyond the mountain?”

    “Beyond the mountain?”

Farrell and Felix both shouted at the absurd item.

Zeke nodded after hearing Catherine’s words.

“Without a fair amount of strength and accuracy you won’t even be able to reach the target.”

At those words Farrell’s expression darkened.

    He said to Zeke.

“Sir Zeke. Just looking at the preliminary events I think I can tell which family got the most votes from the committee.”

“What family are you from Sir Farel?”

He said with a serious expression.

“It’s most likely the Siemens family.”

    Zig nodded at Farrell’s words.

“Siemens. It’s quite possible. The family’s main trait is aura control.”

“That’s right. In addition Edward Siemens the second son of the Siemens family who is participating in this martial arts tournament is a spearman who uses a spear as his main weapon.”

    “Edward Siemens….”

It was an article that was also in Zeke’s memory.

In his previous life he was one of those who led the Imperial Army together with Abel Draker the Knight of Slaughter and dyed the continent in blood.

I remembered that unlike his older brother William Siemens he was cruel by nature and liked to take the lead.

‘That damn bastard is coming to the martial arts tournament.’

At that moment something crossed Zeke’s mind.

‘Edward Siemens and the javelin throw…?’

    Zeke asked Catherine.

“Catherine can you tell me who gave you this information?”

“I heard this from the Bronx family. They said that one of their elders was selected as a member of the organizing committee for the martial arts competition.”

‘It came straight from the committee and they’re from the Bronx family.’

Zeke also knew about the Bronx family.

It was a place with deep ties to the Siemens family.

Zeke got up from his seat.

    Farrell asked him.

“Why are you doing this Sir Zeke?”

“Now that you’ve heard of the preliminary round shouldn’t you try practicing?”

At Zeke’s words Catherine immediately ordered her servants to set up javelin throwing targets on the nearby mountains.

As soon as the installation was finished Zeke and Pharrell Felix prepared their spears stood in the open space and threw them at the target on the other side of the mountain.

    Hooooooooooo!

Felix didn’t even get to the mountain let alone the target while Farel got to the mountain but his spear landed far from the target.

    Finally Zeke threw the spear.

    Hooooooooooo!

The spear which had risen high into the sky fell straight towards the target.

Unfortunately the spear fell right in front of the target.

Farrell spoke to Zeke with the aforementioned expression.

“Sir Zeke! I think this will be enough time to prepare for the preliminaries.”

But Zeke just looked out the window with a serious expression on his face.

Then after a while he asked Farrell.

“Sir Farrell. If the other contestants knew about this preliminary event in advance they would have started practicing sooner right?”

    Farrell nodded.

“Of course. The other participants are probably already fully engaged in their javelin throw and have almost finished practicing.”

“Are there any restrictions on weapons?”

“You will use the weapon you registered before the preliminary round.”

“Can’t we change it in the middle?”

“Usually yes. But why is that?”

Zig looked out the window and said.

“What would you do Sir Farel if this spear were longer more sculpted for throwing and shaped to hit its target more accurately?”

At Zeke’s words Farrell looked as if he had been hit in the head.

“Oh my goodness. I hadn’t thought of that. Make a good spear in advance and use it. That’s a good idea for Siemens.”

In throwing events the results differed significantly depending on the type of weapon used.

If you prepare a throwing spear in advance you will have an advantage in getting better results than others.

Ordinary knights would likely not have thought of modifying the shape of the spear to improve its performance as they would focus on throwing the spear.

Zig looked around the window and then nodded.

Then he approached Catherine who was sitting in the shade and fanning herself.

“I have a favor to ask.”

“Haha. I’ll gladly grant any request Sir Zeke.”

Zeke showed Catherine the window and explained how to modify it.

Catherine tilted her head at Zeke’s explanation.

“Are you really going to modify it to something like that? I don’t know much about weapons but still….”

    “Please do so.”

Catherine had no choice but to agree to Zeke’s firm words.

“If that is what Sir Zeke asks…”

    “thank you.”

Zeke turned and looked at the target on the other side of the mountain.

‘With this we’re all ready for the preliminary matches.’

Zig smiled coldly as he recalled the Siemens family.

‘No matter how much you guys run wild you’re in the palm of my hand.’
