A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 7
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 7
Letters appeared one after another before Zeke’s eyes.
[When connected to a terminal the ‘Dragon’s Blessing’ engraved on the user’s soul is activated.]
[The bloodline talent ‘Blood of the Fighter’ awakens.]
[Awakened talents combine with each other.]
[A new class has been formed through the combination of rare talents.]
[Awaken the talent of the unique class ‘Immortal’.]
Wooooow!
The red glow of the sword statue suddenly turned golden and at the same time Zig’s body was also enveloped in golden light.
And then letters quickly appeared before Zeke’s eyes.
[Class skill ‘Healing’ changes to passive skill ‘Healing Factor’.]
[Class skill ‘Calm Mind’ changes to passive skill ‘Solid Mental Defense’.]
[Class skill ‘Health Recovery’ changes to passive skill ‘Infinite Health’.]
[Class skill ‘Sense Focus’ changes to passive skill ‘Battle Sense’.]
Zeke read the letters that came to his mind without stopping.
‘The class and skills changed?’
[Changes to a ‘magic rejection’ constitution due to the talent of the blood relative.]
[The ‘Magic Rejection’ constitution is compensated as a skill by the class’s characteristic.]
[The corrected constitution changes to the skill ‘Magic Reflection (A-Grade)’.]
[Unique class special skill ‘Area Buff (A-Grade)’ is granted.]
[100 Karma Points are awarded as a unique class privilege.]
Zeke was startled.
‘Physical constitution correction? Class privilege skills? What is all this?’
As Zeke read the floating letters the golden light faded and the onlookers became confused.
“What is golden?”
“What on earth is going on?”

“Is this… a pureblood awakening?”
The whole hall was buzzing.
No one could easily open their mouths at the swordsman’s reaction which was completely different from the awakening of a typical draker.
That was when.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
Abel Draker who was watching the ceremony from behind applauded.
And then he shouted.
“What are you doing! Why don’t you hurry up and bring gloves for the youngest!”
The gloves that block magical interference symbolize the pureblood Awakened.
Abel Draker a direct bloodline and pureblood Awakener also acknowledged Zeke as a pureblood Awakener.
After hearing Abel’s words Pan was silent for a moment before finally opening his mouth.
“Bring me gloves.”
The servants moved quickly and brought Zeke a pair of gloves.
A pair of plain leather gloves with no pattern.
When he enters the academy he will be given a pair of gloves that will be made specifically for him.
Zeke slowly picked up the makeshift gloves and put them on his hands.
I could feel the weight of the heavy gloves.
Abel approached Zig as he was about to return to his seat.
“Congratulations on your pure-blood awakening youngest.”
Abel reached out his hand to Zeke.
Zeke looked at Abel’s outstretched hand and recalled what had happened in his past life.
Abel Draker Knight of Slaughter.
The horrors of the war he caused eventually came full circle and changed Zig’s life completely.
Because of that Zeke lost the person who was most precious to him.
Zeke unconsciously clenched his fist as he looked at Abel’s outstretched hand.
“This is so embarrassing.”
Abel looked down at Zeke as he lowered his outstretched hand.
Zeke felt the calm madness hidden in Abel’s eyes.
Abel smiled at Zeke.
“See you again.”
He just turned his back and left the hall.
Zeke clenched his fists as he watched Abel’s back moving away.
‘I don’t know what Abel’s plan is but he won’t be easily fooled.’

After the blessing ceremony a grand party was held for the trainees who had graduated from the cradle.
This batch also received the blessing of the Aura and two trainees were born with pure-blood awakening.
Everyone who attended the blessing ceremony talked about Reina and Zeke’s awakening.

In particular everyone was very interested in the golden glow of the Zeke because it was a strange phenomenon they had never seen before.
However Zig who was the star of the party was not at the party.
That was because as soon as the party started he quickly went into his room.
“Whew…..”
Zeke entered the room and took off his stuffy robe.
Perhaps because it was a room for pureblood awakened people it was decorated with luxurious furniture.
It was a place that Zigg in his previous life could never have imagined.
‘Pureblood awakening is good.’
Zeke took off the gloves he was wearing.
And he put his hand on the magic lamp.
But even when he waved his hand there was no problem with the magic lamp.
‘That’s strange.’
All of Draker’s pureblood Awakened have the ability to ‘interfere with magic’.
An ability that proves that they are at odds with the dragons who are called creatures of magic.
The problem is that because of this ability pureblood Drakers cannot function in daily life without gloves.
However even though Zeke was recognized as a pureblood Awakened this magical power interference ability did not activate.
“Open status window.”
[Subordinate Manager Status Window]

Karma Points Held: 100
The contents of the status window were completely different from before.
“Immortal. Unique grade.”
Before the blessing ceremony Zig’s class was Healer and his rank was Rare.
Zeke had something on his mind.
‘It’s clear that the identification information needed for class identification was lost on the terminal and the system forcibly entered it.’
What this meant was that the swordsmanship had limitations in determining class.
After comparing his reactions to those of other Awakened beings who had occurred at the Swordsman’s Table Zeke realized the true nature of the Blessing Ritual.
“Damn it. It’s an item that only the Inspector class can determine so of course it won’t react to the Healer class.”
Zeke gritted his teeth as he thought about the hardships he had endured in his past life.
The sword used in the blessing ceremony was an ancient relic that had been used since generations before Terracan the founder of the family.
Its origin and function were not properly known.
The only formula that was passed down was that if it was blue it was a normal awakening and if it was red it was a pure-blood awakening.
If in the previous life the swordsman had been able to determine whether the healer was awakened or not it would have clearly shown a red glow in response to the rare grade.
Zig remembered that during the blessing ceremony he had changed from red to gold.
“I guess the golden light came about because it changed from a rare class Healer to a unique class Immortal.”
Zeke checked out his newly acquired skills.
“The skills received as a unique class privilege are of A-grade. That must mean they are very effective.”
Zig first looked at the skill descriptions for ‘Magic Reflection’ and ‘Area Buff’.
-Magic Reflection: Unfolds a distortion field to nullify surrounding magic power.
-Area Buff: The caster can transfer skills to multiple targets within range.
“Magic nullification and wide-range skill transfer?”
With just these two things Zik who had extensive combat experience could come up with dozens of strategies to strike the back of the enemy’s head.
He looked satisfied.
“If I use it here all the magic power will explode so I’ll have to quietly test the effect later. And let’s see the Karma Points I received as a special privilege are 100.”
There were 100 points received as a privilege for awakening a unique class.
Zig looked at the Dragon Clan skill category that was marked as unavailable and selected it.
[Would you like to use points to view Dragon Clan skills?]
‘What should I do?’
I thought about it for a moment but since I had nowhere else to use the karma points anyway I decided to use them.
Tiring!
[Dragon Clan Skill Viewing has been unlocked. You can now check the skill list.]
Zig checked the Dragon Clan skill status window.
-Dragon Clan Skill Level 1-
Dragon’s Eye (locked 20) / Dragon’s Majesty (locked 30) / Gluttony (locked 50)
(50 karma points required to unlock skill level 2)
“what’s this?
I had high expectations for the name Dragon Clan Skill but something felt strange.
‘Is that because it’s a level 1 skill?’
Zik clicked on the skill introduction.
– Dragon Clan Skill Level 1 Information –
Yong-an: You can look at it in more detail and examine the other person’s information in detail. (20 points required to unlock)
Dragon’s Majesty: Can subdue enemies with awe. (30 points required to unlock)
Gluttony: Can eat a lot and digest a lot. (50 points needed to unlock)
“Hmm…?”
It seemed like all three skills could be unlocked by spending more points so they could be used.
‘But what’s the last skill?’
I can understand the majesty of the dragon to some extent but I cannot understand gluttony at all.
“Why does eating a lot and digesting a lot require more points to unlock than other skills?”
I felt like I wouldn’t be able to know exactly what abilities someone had unless I tried using the skill.
Zig looked at the three skills and thought about them.
Since I had already spent 10 points to view the Dragon Clan skills I had 90 points left.
‘Let’s say the dragon’s eyes are lifted… What’s left is either majesty or gluttony.’
It was difficult to unlock all three as I was 10 points short.
Even if I unlocked the dragon’s eye and spent 50 more points to view the second level of the skill it seemed like I wouldn’t be able to learn the skill unless I had more points.
After much thought Zeke chose dignity over gluttony.
“I guess I can release Gluttony after I catch the monster.”
Zig summoned the Dragon’s Eye and Dragon’s Majesty skill window and pressed release.
[Do you want to release the Dragon Clan skill Dragon Eye?]
[Do you want to unlock the Dragon Clan skill Dragon’s Majesty?]
‘Okay release them both.’
The screen changed for a moment.
Dragon Skill (1st level unlocked): Dragon’s Eye (Beginner) / Dragon’s Majesty (Beginner)
Karma Points Held: 40
Dragon’s Eye and Dragon’s Majesty have been added to the Dragon Tribe skills.
Zeke looked at the two skills and was troubled.
“But… how do I test this?”
Zeke although not sure gave it his all.
[The dragon’s eyes are activated.]
In an instant Zig’s vision changed.
‘Huh?’
It felt completely different from what I had originally seen.
When I turned my head and looked at the dark part the previously invisible field of vision turned green and I was able to distinguish the shapes of objects.
“Wow what is this?”
It was an ability that allowed one to see areas beyond the range of human vision.
Then something appeared in Zeke’s eyes.
[Would you like to check the detected object information?]
‘What is object information? Let’s take a look.’
[A chair made during the Luverne Dynasty]
[Decorative candle holder made in the Sikron region]
[Olive wood desk made in the Misok region]
As I looked at objects in the room information about them was automatically displayed.
“Oh my god. How is this possible?”
At that moment the dragon’s eye’s activation time ended and the vision returned to normal.
Zeke felt a sudden thick fatigue creeping over him.
“Hmm… The price is high for the good performance.”
Considering fatigue there was a limit to the number of times one could use it per day.
“Let’s see. Next is the majesty of the dragon.”
Zeke endured the dizziness and activated the dragon’s majesty.
[The dragon’s majesty is activated.]
Woohoo!
In an instant faint waves rose from Zeke’s body and spread out in all directions.
“Is this the majesty of the dragon?”
Zeke stood in the room and examined the range of the waves.
The effective range was about 3 meters and the faint spread made it difficult to measure the entire range as it spread beyond the room.
At some point the skill was released as the wave spread out.
“Is this wave intimidating?”
The problem was that since there was no enemy the effect of the skill could not be known.
That was when.
Bam!
Decker burst into Zeke’s room with a stern expression.
He held a small dagger in his hand.
“De Decker? What’s going on?”
Decker shouted stopping Zeke.
“Your Majesty please evade! There is an intruder!”
Zeke was taken aback by Decker’s reaction.
Decker raised his spirits trying to find traces of the energy he had just felt.
But I couldn’t feel any energy anywhere.
‘What happened? I definitely felt a scary aura coming from this direction.’
Through Decker’s reaction Zeke was able to indirectly experience the power of the dragon’s majesty.
‘If even a Blue Knight-level Decker can react like this… I guess I can just subdue most of the small-timers.’
Finding no trace of the intruder Decker eventually said he would strengthen the security around the room and left.
Zeke was sweating profusely after Decker left.
“Ugh I can’t use this skill anytime.”
After writing about the majesty of the dragon I also felt tired.
“At this rate I won’t be able to use my skills many times.”
No matter how powerful it was if the number of times it could be used was limited it was just a pie in the sky.
But then another letter appeared before his eyes.
