    Episode 67

    WHEEK!

Felix who had been swinging his sword as if pouring out his sword soon stopped.

    “Phew.”

    Zeke said to Felix.

“You completed the swordsmanship guild course so how do you know Paladin swordsmanship?”

Felix opened his eyes wide slightly surprised by Zeke’s words but then nodded.

“I somehow felt that Sir Zeke would recognize this sword technique.”

Paladin a term referring to a knight of the Holy Knights Order who has extremely limited contact with the outside world even within the Holy Kingdom.

Since it was a secret sword technique that was passed down only to them there were few people who could perform it let alone recognize it.

However just by looking at the sword form Zeke knew that this sword technique was a Paladin-traditional sword technique.

Felix felt that Zeke was different from the other Draker knights.

“I performed this swordsmanship to show everything about myself to Lord Zeke without hiding anything.”

Zeke said looking at Felix with sharp eyes.

    “Keep talking.”

Felix picked up the necklace he was wearing and showed it to Zeke.

Zeke knew the identity of the necklace Felix had.

‘Official Paladin Insignia. It’s quite worn.’

The sun symbol emblem symbolizing the Holy Kingdom is given only to paladins who have passed rigorous trials.

Felix said tucking the badge back into his clothes.

    “My grandfather was a Paladin.”

“I know Paladin as a golden soul.”

    Felix nodded.

“Your Majesty what you said is true. My grandfather… was dethroned.”

    “Hmm.”

Originally a Paladin who had been excommunicated was required to spend his entire life in a monastery praying to God for his sins and living under strict discipline.

Of course it was impossible to live like a normal person after getting married outside of the Holy Kingdom.

‘Did you run away from the Holy Kingdom after breaking the rules and live in hiding?’

Then Felix clenched his fist and spoke to Zeke.

“Sir Zeke. My grandfather was framed and became a renegade after being caught up in a past conflict within the Holy Kingdom.”

Zeke was slightly taken aback by Felix’s sudden words.

‘Things are getting a bit complicated.’

    Felix continued.

“My grandfather risked his life fighting against internal enemies to expose corruption within the Holy Kingdom but was eventually framed and excommunicated. After that he was in danger of being dishonorably executed but with the help of his colleagues he barely escaped the Holy Kingdom and lived in hiding in the Duchy of Troy.”

Felix clenched his fists as his emotions surged.

    He said looking at Zeke.

“Before my grandfather died he told me what he had failed to correct in the Holy Kingdom and taught me this swordsmanship.”

After hearing Felix’s words Zeke had one question.

    “Felix.”

    “Yes Sir Zeke.”

“Did your grandfather try to pass down the legacy to you before he passed away?”

    Felix tilted his head.

    “Auror transmission? What is that?”

    Zeke approached Felix.

    “Extend your hand.”

Just as Decker had previously checked the state of the aura inside Zeke’s body Zeke also wanted to check Felix’s aura.

It was an action that should never be permitted without complete trust as it involved accepting rather than rejecting the aura coming from outside.

But Felix held out his wrist to Zeke without any suspicion.

    ‘When I see things like this I don’t think he’s a spy.’

Zeke grabbed Felix’s wrist and slowly poured mana into him.

Zeke’s mana swirled around inside Felix’s body checking his condition.

‘As expected. The aura conductivity is high compared to your skill level. The aura circuit is also open.’

Zeke examined Felix’s body and then removed his hand from his wrist.

    Felix said looking at Zeke.

    “What’s wrong Sir Ji Ji-k?”

    Then Zeke shook his head.

“On the contrary. Felix thank your late grandfather.”

“Huh? What are you talking about all of a sudden?”

“I think your grandfather was an Arch Paladin.”

“Arc Paladin? Is there such a thing?”

“Yes. If you compare him to a knight he’s like a black knight.”

“Oh my god! Is that true?”

    Zeke continued his explanation.

“The Paladins of the Holy Kingdom have a unique technique that has been passed down since the days of the Empire and that is Aura Transmission. It is a technique that allows them to achieve faster results by passing on the Aura they possess to their disciples.”

“So you came earlier and asked about the legend.”

“Yes. But your grandfather didn’t just simply transmit the aura he also opened the aura circuits to increase the aura conductivity of his body. This is a technique that only Arch Paladins can use.”

“I had no idea about that.”

    Zeke watched Felix’s reaction.

He had an expression on his face like he really didn’t know.

‘I’m not sure if he’s a specially trained spy or a true successor to the Arch Paladin title. Maybe it’s both.’

    Zeke asked Felix.

    “Felix.”

    “Yes Mr. Zeke.”

“Is the reason you said you wanted to be my servant to clear your grandfather’s name?”

Felix made a subtly complicated expression.

“That’s it. Of course that’s one reason. But more than that I want to have you by my side Zeke.”

“How many times have you seen me before you suddenly make that decision?”

“I actually saw Sir Zeke fight secretly. I haven’t seen many knights but I’ve never seen anyone like Sir Zeke! If you allow me I would like to serve you as a servant or even a servant.”

Zeke looked at Felix in thought.

‘If he’s a spy I can keep him by my side and find out who my enemy is. If he’s not a spy I can consider him a potential seed.’

In fact Zeke had been hanging out with Felix for a few days and had taken a liking to the lively spirit of the man.

He was a talent too valuable to just throw away.

Zeke who was worried said to Felix.

    “Following me won’t be easy.”

“I don’t mind! I’ll jump into the fires of hell!”

“Don’t overdo it. We’ll be back at Atlas tomorrow so get ready.”

At those words Felix bowed deeply to Zeke.

“Thank you Sir Zeke! I will be loyal to you.”

Zeke decided to take Felix as his squire and returned to his quarters.

‘Felix Valencia. I’ll have to dig him up properly once.’

    * * *

The next day Zeke returned straight to Atlas. He spoke to Felix before returning to Valhalla.

“Felix. I’ll tell the Atlas Guard to prepare to move.”

    “Yes! I understand.”

After sending Felix away Zick went up to the president’s office to see Flaubert.

But then I ran into Diego Astor coming out of the door in the hallway of the president’s office.

Both of them were in terrible shape.

“What kind of mission did those two receive to end up like this?”

Then Diego said making a death sound.

“Ugh don’t be ridiculous! I just came here after working with the Northern Border Guard all the time to clear snow!”

    Aster also spoke trembling.

“I was able to realize that what is scarier than the monster is its eyes Master.”

When you fight a war there are things that are actually more difficult to endure than enemies or monsters.

    It’s the environment.

The humid climate of the jungle and the cold of the bug north. The intense heat and sun of the desert.

These are the things that journalists overlook.

Zeke realized that Flaubert’s test had been a great experience for both of them.

‘I think I know why the House of Gaju appointed Flaubert as the headmaster of Valhalla.’

The two grumbled about having to go on a mission to the desert this time.

    “Let’s live and see bro!”

    “I’ll be back Master.”

After parting ways with Diego and Aster Zeke went straight up to the president’s office.

Flaubert greeted Zeke with a big smile on his face.

    “Come in!”

Since Giguet would bring about great results just by entrusting him with a mission Flaubert could not help but find him attractive.

    He prepared the tea himself.

‘The car class has gone up since last time.’

After all I had to see it succeed.

Zick placed the pouch containing the fingers of the family tree in front of Flaubert.

He looked at the devil’s finger and smiled with satisfaction.

“I saw the report you uploaded and it was amazing. You treated the injured barbarian and worked together to defeat the demon.”

    “I was lucky.”

Flaubert said with a big laugh.

“I feel like keeping a talented person like you in Valhalla is a loss to the continent.”

He took something out of his bosom and handed it to Zeke.

“This is a temporary diploma. The semester hasn’t ended yet so it won’t be possible to graduate right away but if you have this you won’t have any problems with what you want to do. It proves that you have already obtained the qualifications to graduate.”

Zeke politely accepted the diploma that Flaubert handed him.

“Thank you President for your consideration in so many ways.”

“I am proud that a great student like you is from Valhalla.”

Flaubert looked at Zeke and asked.

“So have you decided on a career path after graduation? I guess you’ll go with Drake.”

    Zeke nodded.

“First of all I want to gain experience as a knight of the family and be reborn as a true knight.”

Flaubert looked satisfied with his exemplary answer.

“Good. I look forward to seeing more growth from Army General Zeke.”

    “Thank you President.”

    That was when.

    dripping!

Someone came to the president’s office.

It was none other than Andrey.

    Flaubert asked Andrei.

    “What’s going on Professor Andrey?”

Andrei greeted the rector politely and then said:

“We received a call from the Four Seasons asking us to bring Zeke in.”

Then Flaubert nodded as if he understood.

“I guess your family already knew about your graduation. You’re really quick at everything.”

Zeke nodded and got up from his seat.

“Let me wake up first President.”

    “Okay. Come visit often.”

Zeke followed Andrei out of Valhalla and boarded Draker’s carriage heading to the Four Seasons Castle.

    He asked Andrey.

“Do you know why you were contacted to come in?”

Andrei shook his head at Zeke’s question.

“I don’t know the reason either. I think it’s something like a graduation congratulations.”

“I can’t imagine that the head of the household would congratulate me on my graduation.”

“That could be possible since you achieved the feat of graduating from Valhalla in just two years.”

“I hope whatever happened was nothing serious.”

The carriage carrying Zeke and Andrei crossed the city of Atlas and quickly entered the city of the Four Seasons.

Andrei waited outside and went into the summer palace where the Zikman family’s office was located.

The Summer Palace was the place where all the work related to Drakes spread across the continent was comprehensively managed.

Perhaps that was why the knights as well as the administrative staff and even the magicians belonging to the families were busy running around and concentrating on their respective tasks.

“What happened to the northern building!”

“Wait a minute. Something just broke out in the South Sea!”

“Eww! Damn it who the hell is this budget guy!”

The whole office felt like a war zone.

‘I think field work would be better.’

Zeke quickly walked past the troublesome-looking office work and toward the headmaster’s office.

As he approached the office the secretary confirmed Zeke’s identity.

Only then could I go inside.

Arthur Draker’s office was more modest than one might expect.

The bookshelves that ran along the walls of the office were tightly packed with books and in front of a large well-lit window was a desk with a sofa and table for entertaining guests.

At that moment the door to the room next to the office opened and Arthur Draker appeared carrying a teapot.

“Oh you’re here. Come sit down.”

Arthur Draker sat down across from Zeke and poured the tea into a cup directly in front of him.

“Zig I brought some tea from the Eastern Continent to give to you when you come. Try it.”

Zeke drank the tea Arthur gave him.

It definitely had a different aroma and taste than regular tea.

“I heard that tea from the East is of good quality. It is very good.”

“I’m glad you like it. I’ll pack it for you when you leave so take it with you.”

Tea in the Eastern Empire was more expensive than its weight in gold.

Zig expressed his gratitude to the owner.

    Arthur said looking at Zeke.

“You must be wondering why I called you.”

    Zeke nodded.

    “Yes my lord.”

“I called you because I wanted to see your face for the first time in a while and congratulate you on your graduation.”

“Thank you my lord. It is all thanks to the teachings of the family.”

    Then Arthur smiled and said.

“You don’t have to pretend to be a model student like Flaubert in front of me. Draker doesn’t want a model knight that his parents would like.”

As expected Arthur Draker was sharp.

    He said looking at Zeke.

“Zeke I plan on sending you to this Draker Martial Arts Tournament.”

    He continued.

“And I hope you win there.”
