A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 624
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 624
Kkwaddudduk!
What emerged from Harvey Draker’s chest was a thick tentacle with sharp hook-like claws.
Quadddddddd—
The sharp claws burst out from within Harvey Draker’s chest shattering his entire sternum.
Harvey Draker looked down at the hideous tentacle protruding from his chest blood streaming from his mouth.
“What is this…?”
Harvey Draker looked up and at the Baron.
Then the Baron opened his mouth in a solemn voice.
“A glorious day will come. A new humanity will open a new era!”
Gooooooooo!
The monstrous gate let out a long howl in time with Baron’s shout.
And soon an evil aura began to flow out from the gate.
An ominous aura mixed with the power of an outsider and a twisted law of causality began to permeate the entire space.
Soon the magicians who were bound by the chains of souls began to absorb the energy and red eyes flashed in the black sockets of the masks.
Thud thud thud!
They began to chant the spell again in ominous voices.
Then surprisingly this time the soul chain began to change.
Tsk tsk tsk tsk―
The chains of souls that had wrapped around the wizards’ bodies turned black and soon changed shape transforming into rather horrifying tentacles.
Choaaaah!
In addition the magic circle that Nabu had arranged was consumed by the dark energy flowing out of the strange gate and instead turned into a swamp that summoned tentacles.
The situation was reversed as the chain that was trying to wrap around Baron also turned into tentacles.
He shouted at the wizards.
“Wake up! The purest Draker blood will be the key to opening a new era!”
Tentacles sprouted from the floor and moved towards Harvey Draker who was spitting out blood.

The tentacles moved and wiggled wrapping themselves around Harvey Drake’s arms and legs.
Then it began to grow its body wrapping itself around the tentacles that protruded from his chest.
Drumroll please
Within moments the tentacles protruding from Harvey Draker’s body swelled.
“Kuaaaah!”
Harvey Draker screamed in pain as he tried to somehow pull the tentacles out of his body.
But soon he realized that it was impossible.
‘The heart of the dragon.’
Surprisingly the tentacle was connected to the dragon heart that Arthur Draker had implanted into his body.
The moment the tentacles were pulled out the dragon’s heart would also be pulled out and if that happened Harvey Draker would no longer be able to maintain his form in the phenomenal world as he was now.
Harvey Draker clenched his teeth as he saw the hideous tentacle sprouting from his heart.
‘Was this all Arthur Draker’s plan?’
Giving him the dragon’s heart was part of the plan to create the current situation.
As Harvey Draker figured out Arthur Draker’s intentions and dismantled them Zeke who had defeated all the monsters summoned by the Baron flew towards Harvey Draker with his sword raised.
Zeke slashed straight at Harvey Draker who had tentacles sprouting from his heart.
Kwakwakwakwa!
The crescent moon’s sword slash flew towards Harvey Draker.
But then the tentacles sprouting from its split chest quickly moved and cut through Zig’s sword strike with their sharp claws.
“Cough!”
As the tentacle sprouting from his heart moved Harvey Draker vomited blood and groaned in pain.
Soon the swollen tentacles began to completely envelop Harvey Draker’s body.
The tentacles curled around Harvey Drake’s limbs forming a hideous grotesque suit of armor.
Soon the tentacles gathered together and formed a new shape Harvey Draker’s head was positioned in the center of his chest and above it was the head of a new monster created by the tentacles.
Krrrrrrrr―
Zeke looked at Harvey Draker whose body had been taken over by tentacles sprouting from his heart.
‘What a horrible sight.’
It was as if I was seeing a strange angel tainted by the power of an outsider.
The cherub that had wrapped itself around Harvey Draker’s body turned its head.
When he turned his head Baron was standing in front of a gate that had transformed into the shape of an altar surrounded by wizards chanting spells.
Soon the cherubs began to respond to their spells and move over the gate.
Kugugugugugu!
The evil dark power flowing out of the gate flowed towards the Archangel.
Zeke clenched his teeth at the ominous power he felt from them.
Manna and Ivan who were watching from below also tried to counter the strange spell by creating a barrier.
But black blood continued to flow from their noses and mouths.
Even the High Table couldn’t last long here because just hearing the order was a blow to the soul.
Seeing this Zeke equipped himself with Teia’s armor grabbed Ascalon and caused a strong resonance.

Kiiiiiing―
The strong resonance amplified by the power of Orichalcum created waves that blocked the unholy spells of the evil wizards to some extent.
Only then did Ivan meet and open the door with a much more relaxed expression on his face.
‘We must find the Book of the Lion and get out of here as soon as possible.’
Zeke waited for a signal from Nabu and Nigel who were searching for the Book of the Dead.
The plan was to find the Lion’s Book then immediately get out of here through Hercules who was waiting outside and then completely close off the space itself.
Zeke continued to stall for time as Baron and Harvey Draker would be sealed here forever unable to escape if the unique space itself were to be closed.
But it was taking longer than expected to find where the real Book of the Lion was.
Clearly the power of the absolute compass and the Manrian have indicated that the Book of the Lion is located here.
Thanks to this Zeke and his party arrived here before Baron and continued to search for the Book of the Dead but have not yet found the book.
At that moment something flashed through Zeke’s mind.
‘Maybe we misunderstood something.’
He and even Baron assumed that it would exist in book form because of its name ‘The Book of the Dead’.
But Zik the owner of the Kabbalah system knew that the medium for recording knowledge did not necessarily have to be a book.
As that thought occurred to him Zeke spoke to the system.
‘System check if there is a security vault here.’
At Zeke’s words the system began checking for the presence of a security vault.
After a while a message came to mind.
[Security Vault searched.]
[Access is restricted due to the highest level of security.]
[An authentication key is required for access.]
As Zeke had thought the Book of the Lion did not exist in the form of a book.
‘It exists as karma data. Right in this space itself.’
Terracan Draker’s security vault was also stored in the Academy’s space in the form of karma data.
The Book of the Lion existed here on a similar principle.
‘Authentication key.’
Zeke thought about it for a while then made a decision while watching Baron continue to inject the evil angel with ominous power.
“Innocent. Come out.”
Guardian Innocent created from some of the great sage’s spirits and his homunculi was summoned.
Tsk tsk tsk tsk―
Guardian Innocent emerged from Zeke’s shadow and bowed his head towards him.
“Access the Innocent Security Vault and disable security.”
He was a guardian created from the spirit of a great sage so he was no different from the access authentication key for the secure vault.
At Zeke’s command Innocent raised his staff.
A faint light flickered from the tip of the staff.
Woohoo!
The light rose into the common ceiling with a slight vibration.
The message appeared before Zeke’s eyes again.
[Accessed the security system using the authentication key engraved on Guardian Innocent’s soul.]
[Security can be released. Would you like to release it?]
Zig took a deep breath as he looked at the popped up message window and chose to release it.
[The security vault has been unlocked.]
[A portion of the Great Sage’s sealed unique space ‘Infinite Library’ is revealed.]
Kugugugugugu!
A vibration occurred throughout the room accompanied by the message that security had been released.
Something began to bubble up from the common floor.
Kwakwakwakwa!
To my surprise bookshelves were literally springing out of the floor and the walls on all sides.
Kwarrrrrr!
The huge space was quickly filled with hundreds and thousands of bookshelves sprouting up from all directions.
At that moment something flew quickly towards Zeke.
“Zeekeeeeee!”
Nabu and Nigel riding on carpets were flying away from the towering bookshelves.
He shouted at Zeke.
“I was looking for the Book of the Lion and what the heck is going on!”
Then Zeke said to Nabu.
“The Book of the Lion does not exist as a separate book.”
Nabu opened his eyes wide in surprise at his words.
“It’s not in the form of a book? Then how… Oh! No way?”
Nabu was also a wise man who knew how to handle karma so he immediately understood what Zeke was saying.
Zeke said to Nabu.
“I have released the seal on the Great Sage’s Library. Perhaps… there is a medium inside that has sealed the Demon King’s power in the form of karma data.”
Nabu looked dumbfounded at Zeke’s words.
“There are mountains beyond mountains. Where on earth can I find something like that…”
Jiiiiiiiiing―
Before Nabu could finish speaking a strange noise echoed in all directions.
The sound came from none other than where the Baron and the wizards were.
The gate gaped open as it responded to their orders.
The Baron shouted in front of him.
“The key to opening a new era! Demon King respond to the call of God!”
Kugugugugugu!
The dark power flowing out from the gate began to envelop the bookshelves.
Then the bookshelves began to move as if they were alive like pieces of a puzzle coming together.
Chock! Chock! Chock! Chock!
Soon the bookshelves took shape in a spiral shape with a huge hole in the middle.
Zeke felt the power flowing out of the hole and a chill ran down his spine.
‘That’s….’
The power that was in the voice that tempted King Solomon.
A trace of that irresistible power was felt inside that hole.
At that moment the sounds of the magicians’ spells grew louder.
Baron shouted into the hole.
“The power of the sealed Demon King! I have prepared a new body! Come and dwell here!”
The grotesque angel floating above the gate and Harvey Draker within it was Arthur’s prepared sacrifice and a sort of vassal.
A copy of an ancestor with the purest Drake blood and the heart of a dragon.
And a fallen being born with the destiny of a savior with a soul and body tainted by the most evil power.
The body most suitable to become the Demon King’s vassal was none other than Harvey Draker.
It was for this very moment that Arthur Draker rescued Harvey Draker implanted the heart of a dragon into him and planted a seed of sinister power within him.
Zeke now realized that Arthur Drake’s goal was to infuse Harvey Drake with the Demon King’s powers not himself.
‘It is clear that he is trying to inject the Demon King’s power into Harvey and then absorb it using the power of the evil spirit.’
Arthur Draker arranged for Ramon Siemens’ plan to be devoured by the evil spirit to be developed in a more evil and vile way.
‘We must somehow prevent the Demon King’s power from entering Harvey Draker’s body.’
Zeke gave an order to the Guardian Innocent next to him.
“Innocent! Activate the library’s security system and stop them!”
Innocent raised his staff at Zeke’s command.
Woohoo!
A vibration resonated from the cane.
Then the books in the library began to glow in response to Innocent’s staff.
[The great sage’s unique space ‘Infinite Library’ reacts to Innocent’s power.]
It was when Innocent was trying to draw out the power of the Infinite Library.
The sound of the wizards’ spells grew louder.
Then the message came back to me again.
[An ominous aura fills the space.]
[The unique space ‘Infinite Library’ cannot be opened due to the polluted energy.
[Innocent’s soul is not enough to handle the ‘Infinite Library’.]
The power of the Demon King that had been stagnant in the space and the unholy power of the monsters created by Baron seemed to be blocking the function of the unique space.
‘The Demon King’s power… It’s only this much that has leaked out.’
Zeke could feel once again that the power of the Demon King sealed in the library was so terrible that it was beyond imagination.
But then it happened.
“Demon King! Throw off the shackles of the seal and descend in the flesh of the sacrificial offering you have prepared!”
The Baron’s voice echoed throughout the room.
Gooooooooo!
A huge howl echoed throughout the space from a hole at the end of the spiral-shaped bookshelf.
