A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 590
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 590
Mephistopheles laughed in satisfaction as he looked at Zeke and his old followers the arrogant saviors.
“Hahahaha! I was right!”
He said pointing to the shadow guardian spirit Lilith behind Zeke with a fan.
“You turned that damn bitch into a summon in an instant. Amazing! You’re truly amazing Zeke Draker!”
Zeke made a face that suggested he had expected this reaction from Mephistopheles who had been waiting for him.
‘There’s no way that guy didn’t hear Lilith calling me.’
From the moment he first met Lilith he didn’t believe her.
If Lilith’s words were true Mephistopheles would never have let him in here.
He must have pretended not to know because he was curious to see how she would react when she met him.
Zeke said to Mephistopheles.
“You don’t intend to hinder the re-welcoming of the arrogant Savior’s followers do you?”
At those words Mephistopheles laughed and shook his head.
“Hahaha! That can’t be true. On the contrary I welcome it. Since we are allies the more your power grows the better it will be for me.”
Looking at Mephistopheles speaking friendly with shining purple eyes Zeke could instinctively feel that his words were not true.
‘It seems like there’s something else going on.’
It was unknown what the true intentions of Mephistopheles the demon of the contract were but he seemed friendly to him for now so it didn’t seem like he would cause any immediate problems. However there was a need to be on guard.
The reason Zeke originally wanted to bring in the arrogant savior’s former followers was to be on guard against the demons of the underworld and their followers.
‘You have to be careful you never know when they’ll hit you in the back of the head.’
He spoke to Mephistopheles without revealing his true feelings.
“Now that you’ve done your business it’s time for my second request.”
Mephistopheles narrowed his eyes at Zeke’s words.
“Yes you gave me two demands: to convene a council of overlords and to reveal the hidden truth that the arrogant savior spoke of.”
He nodded and continued speaking in a casual tone.
“It’s not difficult.”
Mephistopheles snapped his fingers again.

Tsk tsk tsk―
As the surrounding scenery changed Zeke and Mephistopheles were moved to an antique room.
Mephistopheles threw himself onto the well-made bed smiled seductively at Zeke and patted the spot next to him.
“Come here Zeke Draker. Lie down here.”
Zeke looked at Mephistopheles with a bewildered look.
Then Mephistopheles shook his head and said:
“No no! Don’t think weird! Of course you can if you want. But not right now.”
Zeke looked at Mephistopheles who was pounding on the bed with a trembling face and soon lay down next to him.
Then Mephistopheles took Zeke’s hand.
“Now what I’m about to show you is a very heartbreaking story. So you’d better brace yourself.”
Zeke furrowed his brows at Mephistopheles’ words.
“What are you talking about….”
Before Zeke could finish speaking the surrounding scenery changed.
Tsk tsk tsk―
A heterogeneous world that appears as if hundreds of thousands of pieces of glass are glued together.
Zeke realized that he had entered the exclusive domain of Mephistopheles.
At that moment the voice of Mephistopheles rang in his ears.
– Welcome to my unique domain the Kaleidoscope.
Mephistopheles’ unique domain the kaleidoscope had the ability to show ‘everything’ that ever existed.
‘This is Mephistopheles’s domain. How surprising.’
Looking closely each piece of glass in the kaleidoscope reflected events from all over the world.
You can see things happening not only in the mortal world but also in various places in the demon world.
―Here you can look back on not only what is happening now but also what happened in the past.
Zeke asked surprised by Mephistopheles’ words.
“What happened in the past? Are you saying that the truth you are telling me is something that happened in the past?”
-Okay open your eyes and look carefully. Zeke Draker.
As he spoke the realm of the kaleidoscope began to glow and slowly change.
Woof woof woof!
Hundreds of thousands of pieces of glass rippled and in an instant the surrounding scenery changed completely.
‘What is this…?’
Zeke looked at his changed surroundings.
He was somewhere in a forest that existed in the phenomenal world not the demon world.
Everything felt so vivid as if I had actually moved to that place.
‘You went back in time? No it doesn’t feel like you crossed a time line.’
The only power that could cross the timeline was that of Kronos.
But although he had glimpsed into the past before he had never experienced it so clearly and vividly and so Zeke felt a little bewildered.
Then something passed in front of Zeke.

Ss …
Zeke was startled when he realized that the people moving quickly into the forest were Drake’s dark stage.
‘Is this something to do with the black stage?’
Zeke’s expression hardened because he couldn’t figure out what the hidden truth the arrogant savior had to do with the Dark Stage. But for now he had to confirm the truth rather than think about it.
Since it was just a reenactment of the past the Black Stage members seemed to not sense the presence of Zigg.
He followed the black stage crew.
The Black Stage members went deep into the forest hiding their presence and searching for any traces.
Zeke looked around and soon realized where he was.
‘It seems to be a mountain between Varanasi and the Duchy of Troy.’
It was still unclear why the Dark Knights were looking for something here or what it had to do with Zeke.
Then one of the black stage crew raised his hand and gave a signal.
It seemed like I had found some crucial clue.
They ran quickly into the forest following the trail.
Zeke also followed them.
Soon they stopped somewhere took out an artifact from their bosom and illuminated the surroundings.
Blue light shone everywhere and soon a strange ripple appeared in one place.
It seemed like a magic circle had been set up to hide the entrance.
As the Dark Stage members took out a metal plate with a magic circuit engraved on it and placed it in front of the magic circle the metal plate soon absorbed the flow of magic power revealing the hidden entrance.
The black stage crew entered the entrance one by one gesturing with their hands.
Zeke who had been watching from behind also followed the black stage members inside.
As we passed through the entrance a secretly hidden place appeared inside.
‘What is this place?’
In front was a level ground like a yard and behind it was a huge cave.
But then I saw a knight standing in front of the cave.
The black stage crew saw the article drew their swords and took a stand.
At the same time Zeke couldn’t help but be surprised at the knight guarding the cave.
‘Decker?’
Decker who had taken care of Zeke since he was little was there. Seeing Decker in his younger days for the first time felt very unfamiliar to Zeke.
Decker who was once the commander of the Black Sword Knights and now works as the mayor of the disorganized Heli was formerly a knight of Draker.
And his mission was none other than to protect Laura Agamemnon Zeke’s mother.
‘Why is Decker here?’
Decker took the form of the Dragon Slayer and breathed out his killing spirit towards the Dark Stage members who were closing in on him.
Then he spoke softly.
“If you come near me I’ll cut you down.”
Wooooow!
As if those words were not an empty promise an aura blade shot out from the sword.
The black stage crew looked at the decker and exchanged signals with each other before spreading out and surrounding the cave.
After a while the black stage crew simultaneously ran towards Decker at a signal.
Wheeeeeek!
Decker calmly performed his Dragon Slaughter technique towards the Black Stage members who were rushing at him from above below and from the side with short swords.
Hoooooooong―
From Decker who swung his sword with great momentum one could sense a strong will to never let them into the cave.
The Black Stage members who collided with Decker’s sword imbued with aura were bounced off without even being able to deflect the attack.
“Cough!”
Looking at the black stage members flying away like autumn leaves Zeke couldn’t help but admire Decker’s martial arts skills from his youth.
‘I’m sure he was a talent with high expectations even within the Draker family.’
Zeke thought that if Decker had continued to act as Draker’s knight he would have certainly been awarded the rank of Guardian Knight.
“Hoooooo.”
Decker exhaled and looked down at the fallen Black Stage members around him.
Despite the dire situation Decker subdued the Black Stage members without killing a single one.
The Black Stage members were taken aback to see that Decker’s skills were far superior to what they had expected and tried to step back.
But then it happened.
Kookookookookook!
I felt something of tremendous momentum approaching from the entrance.
Pfft pfft pfft!
The barrier magic that hid the hideout was completely destroyed revealing someone.
Decker clenched his teeth as he watched a man approaching from between the fallen black stagehands.
The person standing in front of Decker was none other than Arthur Draker the head of the Draker family.
Unlike today Arthur Draker of the past without a beard looked much sharper.
He glanced around at the fallen Black Stage Troopers and then looked at Decker who was guarding the cave.
“Decker Galehout. Watching you grow so much has been one of my greatest joys. But I never thought you would disappoint me like this.”
Decker let out a gasp as if he was having trouble even breathing due to the immense pressure he felt from Arthur.
Arthur said taking a step closer to Decker.
“A knight of the Drakes points his sword at the head of the house. Doesn’t that violate your oath of loyalty?”
Decker spoke to Arthur breathing heavily.
“…I will gladly accept the punishment for tarnishing your honor as a knight. However… I cannot allow you to pass through this place.”
Arthur chuckled at those words as if he found them amusing.
“Try to stop me. Do you think that’s possible?”
As Arthur took another step the pressure on Decker grew stronger.
He felt as if he was carrying a huge lump of iron on his body.
Decker spoke to Arthur sweating profusely.
“…As a knight I cannot forgive the lord who is trying to go against the natural order.”
Arthur’s eyes widened at those words.
Before he knew it his beloved weapon Caliburn was in his hands.
Arthur swung his sword straight at Decker.
Kookookookookook!
Although it was only a single sword Decker felt as if his entire body was being torn to pieces.
But he did not give in but stepped forward and took Arthur’s sword.
Boom!
The moment Decker’s sword collided with Arthur’s he fell to the ground with the shock of his entire body breaking.
“Ugh.”
It felt like every bone in my body including my arms and legs was crushed.
Arthur holding Caliburn looked at Decker and said.
“I am not a being that can be judged by the likes of you.”
His mad voice echoed in Decker’s ears.
And that was when it happened.
Kugugugugugu!
A huge vibration reverberated inside the cave.
At the same time an unexpected sound burst out.
Ugh―!
A clear baby crying sound was heard inside the cave.
Arthur’s eyes changed when he heard this.
He entered the cave leaving Decker on his knees.
Decker tried to move his body somehow but his entire body was broken and he couldn’t move.
“Ugh!”
Decker let himself fall and began to crawl towards the cave.
Zeke looked at Decker who was entering the cave with tears in his eyes with a pitiful heart.
‘Did something like this happen?’
He turned his head and looked into the cave where the child’s cries could be heard.
And then I walked slowly into it.
Zeke’s heart was pounding without him knowing it.
And when they reached the end of the long cave a horrifying sight unfolded before them one they had never expected.
Phew!
Arthur’s Caliburn pierced the heart of Laura Agamemnon.
Laura was bleeding from her mouth as she watched Arthur stab her in the heart.
She said with an eerie smile.
“…Arthur Draker. No matter how much you struggle… the wheel of fate will eventually break.”
Arthur furrowed his brows at Laura’s words.
Then he pulled out the sword that had stabbed his heart in one fell swoop.
thud!
Laura Agamemnon fell to the floor bleeding.
