A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 580
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 580
Wooooow!
The dimensional rift that had formed above the heads of the three princesses began to grow larger accompanied by strong vibrations.
And at some point a menacing plasma arc erupted from the dimensional rift.
Phage phage phage!
A colorful plasma arc grew in size and expanded in all directions.
At the same time a strong causal storm occurred in the dimensional passage causing space-time to become distorted.
“Euuuuuuu!”
The three princesses of the Demon World including Elizabeth endured the pain and poured out their energy to maintain the dimensional gap.
Zeke who had been watching this extended his hand towards the dimensional rift.
Tsk tsk tsk tsk―
The shadow that rose from his body enveloped the three princesses and eroded the dimensional rift that had formed.
Phage support support –
The plasmas that had been spreading out in all directions were absorbed by the shadow.
The plasma that leaked out here and there was picked up by Raven who appeared from the dimensional rift and swallowed it with his beak.
Wooooow!
As the shadow created by Zeke took hold of the unstable dimensional gap the three princesses were able to endure with less strain on their strength than before.
But the storm of causality still did not stop and I felt space-time shaking.
Zeke opened his mouth softly maintaining the power of the shadow.
[Stay calm.]
It was a divine word that contained divine power in the verb.
As the storm of causality abated at Zig’s command space-time stabilized.
The three princesses quickly began to widen the dimensional gap and create a passage.
Woohoo!
The passageway which had been widened stabilized and took on the shape of a circle.
Zeke looked into the dimensional passageway the princesses had created.

A castle resembling the form of Pandemonium existed across the passage.
Zig slowly lifted his body.
Arataso who was behind also got on his horse and followed Zeke.
As Zeke approached the passageway a massive blast of wind engulfed the interior of the mansion.
Kookookookookook!
But as soon as Zeke raised his hand the violent waves subsided and the dimension stabilized again.
Zeke reached out and broke through the dimensional barrier blocking the passage.
Jiji …
The Law of Karma tried to stop Zig from going beyond dimensions but it was no use.
His zodiac sign is ‘He who goes beyond walls.’
No wall could stop Zeke.
Wooooow!
Zeke and Arataso crossed the dimensional wall and entered the passage.
Then he felt as if someone had grabbed him and pulled him away and he was being sucked somewhere.
Kugugugugugu―
At the same time the dimensional passage he had entered through was completely closed and Zeke and Arataso were dragged along as if they were being dragged along.
Tsk tsk tsk―
When Zig who felt like he had arrived looked around the scenery had already changed to that of a castle.
‘Is this the realm of Mephistopheles?’
The interior of the castle was decorated with antique decorations.
Arataso who was standing next to him exclaimed in surprise.
[Wow! That’s a precious piece of porcelain that was only available during the Babel era. Oh that’s hard to come by these days!]
As expected of Aratasso who was interested in art he was amazed by the various works of art decorating the castle of Mephistopheles.
“Your taste in devilry is quite old-fashioned.”
Arataso nodded at Zeke’s words.
[Mephistopheles may not be a trustworthy demon but it would be hard to deny that he has the greatest aesthetic sense in the demon world.]
While they were looking at the artwork someone appeared in front of Zeke and Arataso.
“Welcome. Welcome to the depths of Pandemonium the city of intellect and art.”
A slender-looking female maid greeted the two politely.
Looking away from the artwork Zeke realized that the maid was not a living being but a made-up doll.
He asked his subordinate Aratasso through telepathy.
-Is this also Mephistopheles’ taste?
―I don’t know about that but I remember previously creating a combat unit made up of similar-looking automata.
-Why did you have to use a maid as a combat unit…?
-Who knows the mind of the Great Devil?
While they were talking like that the maid took a step closer to Zeke bowed her head and spoke in a polite voice.
“The master has asked me to bring the monarch here. The castle roads are complicated so I will guide you.”

Zeke nodded to the maid’s words.
He followed the maid along with Aratasso to where Mephistopheles was.
At the same time he tried to gauge the ability of the maid who was guiding him.
‘It’s more elaborate than the doll that Nostra Family boss Germain used as his clone.’
At first he thought of Germain but this time he compared the golem of the Nirvana family with the automaton of Mephistopheles.
The head of the Nirvana family was able to find a clue to creating a golem that could automatically recover completely by uncovering the theory of 9th class magic.
That too was an amazing development but even so the Golem of Nirvana could not move and act as naturally as a human being any more than the automaton before his eyes.
It was only capable of performing faithful movements according to given commands.
‘If it’s a maid like this I think she’ll be able to fight without any problems even if she’s armed with magic and artifacts.’
It seemed that if they let their guard down due to its delicate appearance they could mercilessly bomb it causing unexpected damage.
It occurred to me that Mephistopheles might have created such an outward-looking automaton to exploit his enemies’ weaknesses.
While Zeke was thinking about this and that the maid stopped in front of a large ornate door.
As she held out her hand a magic circle emerged from the surface of the back of her hand reacted with the door lock and the door opened automatically.
Kookookookookook!
When the door opened an amazing sight unfolded inside.
“Ahahahaha!”
To his surprise there was a large swimming pool inside the spacious room and inside it was a man with purple hair wearing a swimsuit splashing around in the water with women.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Loud music was blaring from all directions a female bartender was making cocktails at one end of the pool bar and other women were playing pool or other games.
Zeke and Arataso gaped in amazement at this sight.
‘…Didn’t you say it was a city of intellect and art?’
It was disconcerting to see dozens of women in swimsuits leisurely enjoying the party.
But the maid who brought them in approached the man playing with other women in the pool as if she was familiar with him and whispered something to him.
Then the man immediately got out of the pool and ran towards Zig while still wet.
“Zeke Draker! Come in!”
A handsome man with long purple hair and geometric tattoos all over his body.
He was Mephistopheles the Demon Lord of the Demon World and one of the five great monarchs the <Master of the Irreversible Contract>.
Mephistopheles chuckled and placed a hand on Zeke’s shoulder.
“I knew you would come here in your new capacity as monarch.”
He sent a charming wink towards Arataso behind Zeke.
“It’s been a while Captain Yeomyeong. You’ve returned to your former self and you look so fresh. I think Buer the <Clearance Green Wish> might be a little disappointed.”
The Morning Star 1st Battalion led by Aratasso was commonly referred to as the Dawn Squadron so Mephistopheles called him the Dawn Captain.
[The captain will respect my choice.]
“Well it was a temporary transfer from the beginning. I don’t care.”
Mephistopheles said this to Aratasso then turned his gaze and patted Zeke on the shoulder speaking to him.
“Come on. Let’s go this way. Or would you like to get some water on your body? If you play around here you won’t know how much time has passed.”
Zeke frowned and shook his head at Mephistopheles’ words.
The Devil King also did not expect to see Zeke the most strict and hard-working of the human knights having fun in the pool.
“I knew it. Let’s go this way. Captain Yeomyeong wait here for a moment. Take off that stuffy armor and rest comfortably.”
Mephistopheles took Zeke and his horse past the pool and into the inner room.
Just passing one room made the scenery completely different.
What appeared was an old-fashioned study in a large room with countless books tightly packed together.
Mephistopheles who had been wearing a swimsuit had also changed into a neat suit.
Mephistopheles personally guided Zeke to the reception table in the middle of the study and offered him a seat.
As the two sat down a maid appeared from somewhere and brought out tea that seemed to have just been brewed.
Mephistopheles picked up his teacup and savored the aroma.
“I always take a break and drink black tea at this time. I heard you like tea too so I prepared a special kind. Come try it.”
Zeek wondered just how well known his taste in tea was.
But he didn’t really respond just picked up the teacup savored the aroma and drank the tea.
Mephistopheles asked Zeke with an expression of interest.
“How does it taste compared to the tea of the phenomenal world?”
“…It’s not a familiar taste but it’s okay.”
Mephistopheles looked very satisfied at those words.
“I feel good to hear that kind of evaluation from you.”
He said to Zeke sipping his tea.
“Do you know how long it has been since an outsider other than the other monarchs entered this space? It’s the first time in hundreds of years. So please understand if I seem a bit excited.”
Zeke nodded at his words.
Then he looked at the various maids standing everywhere and asked.
“Did you make all those automata too?”
Mephistopheles smiled and answered Zeke’s question with a pleased expression.
“Yes they are all my masterpieces. They move naturally think for themselves and express emotions to some extent. It’s hard to believe they are dolls.”
Certainly the automata he created were not much different from living beings in appearance.
Zeke looked at him and opened his mouth again.
“It seems like all those outside were automatons too.”
Women in swimsuits laughing and chatting with Mephistopheles at the pool.
Someone was making cocktails someone was playing pool and someone else was chatting with each other.
But none of them had a truly living soul.
Mephistopheles’ eyes changed at Zeke’s words.
“That’s right. They are all beings I created.”
He said in a voice that was somewhat self-mocking and weary.
Seeing Mephistopheles’ reaction Zeke thought quietly and asked.
“Mephistopheles are you trapped here now?”
At Zeke’s words the smile disappeared from Mephistopheles’ face for a moment.
The realm of the great devil where no one can enter.
No one could approach it without permission except for other great demons who could handle the power of that dimension.
Even the three princesses who were the highest-level demons and the adopted daughters of the Demon Lord suffered from the aftereffects of causality simply by opening a rift in the passage leading to this place.
Therefore the only being that could exist in the depths of Pandemonium was Mephistopheles.
Mephistopheles did not readily answer Zeke’s question.
Soon he lowered his head and began to shrug his shoulders.
And then suddenly he started laughing loudly.
“Hahaha hahahahaha!”
The laughter grew louder and louder until it resonated throughout the study.
Zeke showed no reaction as he watched the maddening demon.
Mephistopheles who had been laughing for a long time suddenly stopped laughing.
Unlike when I first saw him there was a kind of madness in his eyes.
Mephistopheles looked at Zeke running his long purple hair back.
“Zeke Draker you are truly different. You are incomparable to any constellation or demon I have ever seen.”
He sat back down and snapped his fingers.
A hookah device commonly smoked by wizards in desert regions appeared on the table.
Mephistopheles unlike before had a languid expression and was inhaling from his hookah pipe.
Then he spoke to Zeke blowing out sweet-smelling smoke.
“You are right Zeke Draker. I… no all monarchs including myself are trapped in a prison of our own making.”
The smoke he was exhaling from his mouth gradually filled the surrounding area.
Mephistopheles opened his mouth again looking at Zeke with hazy eyes.
“The soul of the proud savior the only free monarch….”
Smoke began to envelop Zeke’s body and gradually began to seep into him.
At the same time Mephistopheles’ eyes turned dark and his voice changed.
[I guess I should take that.]
