    Episode 57

    “Hey medicine?”

Aster was surprised by Zeke’s words.

Then he quickly became sullen and shook his head.

“Thank you for your kind words but that’s okay. I’ve tried all the medicines that were supposed to help but they didn’t work.”

Zeke smirked as he looked at Aster whose expression had become even darker.

    “Okay. Follow me.”

Zeke dragged Aster out to the nearby lawn.

Zig went to a slightly secluded place and took something out of his bosom.

It was a small pocket that fit in the palm of your hand.

“Aster. How many hours do you want to sleep?”

“Oh? Well if possible I’d like to sleep well for at least two hours.”

Zeke opened his pocket and held it under Aster’s nose.

    Aster said looking at Zeke.

    “No matter what that’s useless…”

Before he could finish speaking Aster collapsed on the lawn.

Zeke nodded as he watched Aster sleeping soundly and snoring.

    “It’s Sandman’s sleeping sand. It’s incredibly effective.”

After becoming a mid-level manager the range of items I could purchase greatly expanded and there were all sorts of unusual items.

There were items to treat insomnia antidepressants and even stimulants.

I never thought I would be using something I normally thought was new but it seems to be more effective than I thought.

Zeke left Aster sleeping on the lawn went about his business and returned two hours later.

Aster was still asleep oblivious to the world so Zeke shook him awake.

    “…doesn’t exist.”

Aster got up and finished what he was saying earlier.

He noticed something strange and looked around.

The headache that had been throbbing in my head was gone.

Aster looked at Zeke with an expression of disbelief.

    “Did I fall asleep?”

“You slept really well. The medicine seemed to be working well.”

Aster who had not been able to sleep for a week felt refreshed all over after only a two-hour nap.

He took Zeke’s hand and said.

“Oh my goodness thank you so much! How could this be… what a beautiful place the world is!”

Aster jumped up and down with excitement.

    Then he said to Zeke.

“Where can I buy that medicine? Please tell me.”

    Zeke shook his head.

“I can’t buy it separately because it’s a vision drug that I barely got from someone I know.”

Aster slumped in disappointment at Zeke’s words.

    Then Zeke said to Aster.

“There is one way to obtain this medicine.”

Aster approached Zeke with a smile on his face.

    “What is it?”

“Have you decided what you’re going to do after graduation?”

    Aster shook his head.

“No not yet. I’m planning to look around after I graduate but I don’t know because if my insomnia gets worse I won’t be able to live a normal life.”

Then Zeke smiled and took out the contract he had prepared from his bosom.

“If you sign a contract with me I will provide you with medicine regularly. Enough to get a good night’s sleep once every three days.”

Aster was surprised by Zeke’s words.

“Really? All I have to do is sign a contract?”

Aster tried to sign the contract without even reading it properly.

Rather it was Zeke who stopped Aster.

“Look. When you sign a contract you should at least read the terms carefully. If you don’t you might end up being sold to a bad place.”

Despite Zeke’s words Aster signed the contract hastily without asking any questions.

“If I can just sleep well I can do anything.”

Zeke clicked his tongue inwardly when he saw Aster like that.

‘Didn’t this guy get sold to the empire because he was like this in his previous life?’

I got my hands on one of the five star knights more easily than I thought.

Zig took the contract with a satisfied expression and handed the sand to Aster.

“This is for one month. If you drink too much at once you might fall asleep forever so only use the amount I tell you.”

    “Oh I see.”

Zeke made a displeased expression as he looked at Aster who may have good skills but seemed to have a loose screw somewhere.

‘Diego and all the Five Star Knights seem to be lacking in some way.’

Of all the people he had seen Reina seemed the best.

But Zeke soon shook his head.

‘Come to your senses. You shouldn’t be falling into such Drake-like thoughts.’

    “Aster.”

    “huh?”

“From now on call me Master again.”

    “Oh sorry Master.”

“Let’s see what your skills are before going to Delphi.”

Zeke who thought he would thoroughly educate Aster about the hierarchy later took him to the training ground.

I had heard many rumors about the Knight of Welcome in my previous life but I had never directly faced him on the battlefield so I needed to properly understand his abilities.

As Zeke took out Bahamut Aster took something out of the bag he was carrying and started assembling it.

After a while a fairly long window was created.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a knight using a spear.”

“Ah because it’s a magic trick. No because it’s a magic trick Master.”

Aster took his place in front of Zigg holding the spear.

Aster had been walking around listlessly until just now but as soon as he opened the window his mood completely changed.

    ‘Oh that’s okay.’

    Zeke said to Aster.

“You are free to come and write.”

Aster flinched slightly at those words.

    “Oh really?”

    “Okay. Give it your all.”

Aster nodded after thinking about it.

Then he raised his spear and aimed it at Zig.

    Woohoo!

Soon Aster’s aura was injected into the window causing energy to rise like a mist.

Zeke also held Bahamut and aimed it at Aster.

Aster took a stance with his center of gravity back.

I thought it would strike forward because of the length of the spear but it surprisingly seemed to be a defensive technique.

    Zeke rushed towards Aster first.

    Whee!

Zeke used his basic swordsmanship to deal with Aster’s spear.

    Buck! Buck! Buck!

Aster kept his distance from Zeke and swung his long spear easily blocking the sword strike.

Because the reach was so long it was difficult to get close to Aster.

    ‘then.’

Zeke stepped on the welcome mat and dug into Aster’s interior.

    That was when.

    Crunch!

In an instant Aster’s spear detached and the long spear turned into a single spear.

Aster struck Zeke’s sword with the spear he held in his left hand and struck Zeke’s weak point with the spear he held in his right hand.

    Phew!

Since it was a two-handed spear technique the balance between offense and defense was very good.

As Zeke stepped back Aster reassembled his spear into a long spear.

    ‘That’s an interesting technique.’

He switched between long and short spears and used irregular techniques depending on the distance between him and his opponent so it seemed like a normal knight would have fallen before he could even demonstrate his skills.

But Zeke was no match for such unorthodox techniques.

At that moment Zeke pulled out a dagger and threw it at Aster.

Aster reacted immediately and swung his dagger but was struck by such great force that he could not help but hesitate.

Zeke took advantage of the gap and dug into the low blind spot aiming for Aster’s leg.

    Shhh!

Aster stepped back and dodged Zeke’s sword.

But Zeke’s attacks didn’t end there.

He was aiming to upset Aster’s balance so he quickly got up and used the Dragon Slaughter technique.

    Dragon’s Sword Technique

    Chapter 2 Section 1

    Earth beating

The simplest technique but one that is just as powerful.

Aster was startled by Zig’s earth-shaking blow detached his spear and immediately raised his energy.

    Aladov’s spear technique

    Counterattack

    Reflux

Aster’s spear spun around trying to catch the technique coming from Zeke’s sword.

However the power of the Earth Slash that Zeke unleashed was so strong that there was no countercurrent.

Instead Aster’s spear was dragged into Zeke’s attack.

    “Ugh!”

Aster tried to hold on somehow but it was no use.

In the end Aster who was unable to block Zeke’s sword strike was hit directly by the Earth Slash.

    Kwakwakwang!

Aster who was hit by the ground and sent flying crashed into the wall of the training ground.

    “Cough!”

Aster couldn’t come to his senses due to the pain that felt like his whole body had been beaten.

    “Ugh!”

Zeke approached Aster and took something out.

    “Drink.”

It was a diluted solution of a lower-grade healing potion.

The healing potions purchased from the system shop were so effective that even when diluted they were better than regular potions.

Aster barely managed to catch his breath after drinking the potion.

    “Ugh. Is Master a monster?”

“I’m not a monster. You guys were just training too complacently.”

Aster opened his mouth wide at those words.

For someone who had only ever lived as a genius this was the first time he had ever heard someone so openly say that his skills were lacking.

“I guess I’ll need some training before I go on a mission.”

Aster felt goosebumps at the sight of Zeke’s murderous smile but he was unable to say anything in protest.

    * * *

Zeke who had left Aster in a state of shock returned to the mansion in a good mood.

It was a slightly excited Zeke as he planned a training schedule that would torment Aster.

Then Decker approached Zeke and said.

“A guest has arrived your majesty.”

Gelion was in the reception room.

    “It’s been a while Gelion.”

“How have you been Your Majesty?”

    “How is the blacksmith work?”

Gelion answered Zeke’s question with an embarrassed expression.

“Thanks to you I am making weapons with satisfaction. I am embarrassed to say this but these days there are more and more people coming from far away.

In his previous life he was called Gelion the blacksmith of souls.

With the creation of a magic furnace it was not long before his skills became known.

‘I guess I’ll let him gain some experience and then bring him under my wing.’

Once he had his own base he planned to use Gelion as his dedicated blacksmith.

“But why have you called me Your Majesty? Is there a problem with Bahamut?”

    Zeke shook his head.

“There’s nothing wrong with Bahamut. I asked you to come see me for something else. Go that way.

Zeke took Gelion to his personal training ground.

    Then he said to Gelion.

“Gellion. What you just saw must never be revealed to anyone.”

    Gelion nodded.

    “Of course Your Majesty.”

After Zeke moved away from Gelion he transformed the armor he was wearing.

    Clang! Clang!

Hersion transformed into full plate armor wrapping around Zeke’s entire body.

    “Oh my God!”

Gellion’s mouth fell open when he saw Zigg equipped with Hersion.

    Zig approached Gelion and said.

“Do you know anything about this armor? No matter how much I search I can’t find any information.”

I registered in the system but I couldn’t find any information about the armor even by looking at it.

He had called Gelion to come himself because he thought that if he found out the identity of the armor he would be able to solve the mystery of Cain who had the armor.

Gelion looked around every corner of Hersion with a serious expression.

After a while he stuck out his tongue as if he had figured something out.

    “Do you know anything?”

Then Gelion nodded and opened his mouth.

“This is my first time seeing something like this. I don’t know anything about it from the composition to the materials.”

Zeke was taken aback by Gelion’s words.

If Gelion the disciple of the dwarven master Golin doesn’t know about this armor who would?

Just when Zeke was becoming serious at the unexpected remark Gelion corrected his words.

“Oh Your Majesty. When I say I don’t know I mean that it is an artifact outside the scope of my knowledge. That is what I can infer about this armor.”

    “What does that mean?”

“I learned from my Master everything that was created after the Golden Age.”

Zig looked at Gelion and said.

“Are you saying that this armor was made before the Golden Age?”

“My guess is yes. Given the completely new structure and material texture this is something that cannot be made with modern technology. It may be the technology of an ancient civilization from the time of the mythical hero kings or even earlier.”

“Is it much different from the Empire’s Hersion?”

    Gelion nodded.

“It doesn’t make sense to compare that to this armor. I once helped the Master with his Hersion work but the level of detail in this armor is unparalleled. It’s on a whole other level.”

“It’s amazing. The Imperial Hersion alone costs hundreds of thousands of gold but this is even greater.”

Zeke became even more curious about the identity of Cain who was wearing this armor.

    Gelion asked Zeke.

“The armor material is really unique… It’s surprising that it has such strength and elasticity despite being neither mithril nor dragon bone. Do you know anything about it?”

At that question Zeke seemed to remember something and spoke to Gelion.

“Oh by the way this armor. It even deflected the Auror Blade.”

Gelion was surprised by Zeke’s words.

    “Is that true?”

“It deflected the auror blade I made.”

    “Oh my god.”

Zeke couldn’t understand why Gelion was so surprised.

“Why but Gelion. Is that so great?”

Gelion said in a trembling voice.

“Your Majesty. There is only one metal in the world that can deflect an Auror Blade.”

Gelion shouted with the aforementioned expression.

“There is only one Orichalcum the metal of the gods!”
