    Episode 566

    ‘What is this voice?’

The adjutant blinked when he recognized Boris’ voice.

Then he took a deep breath and put his hand down.

“…Your luck is really bad. I don’t think I can withstand your torture so just kill me nicely for old times’ sake.”

Boris felt a new sense of emotion when he heard his real name from the 13th room for the first time in a long time.

But he suppressed those feelings and said while looking at his adjutant.

“Please call me Boris from now on. I didn’t know that Goose was here.”

    Goose shrugged at Boris’s words.

“Since the disbandment of Room 13 it’s become really hard to make a living. We’re all trying to survive on our own.”

“If you were someone with the same level of skill as me you could have easily secured a position in another kingdom so why did you end up on Castro’s side?”

“Since I’ve done so much in the Central Kingdom things are a bit complicated. Since Castro is so scared I thought that if I joined this side I could retire safely but my calculations were off.”

Boris released Goose’s neck and stepped back.

“Now that we know the circumstances let’s not stand up to each other.”

    Goose nodded at those words.

The two people faced each other after putting some distance between themselves.

Soon Goose looked at Boris and wiggled his eyebrows.

“It seems like the place you moved to is pretty good. Your fortune has improved.”

“Well it’s better than Room 13. The boss is a bit tough though.”

Boris put the dagger away one by one and spoke to Goose.

“Have you decided where you want to go?”

At those words Goose shook the dust off his clothes and shrugged.

“Well I guess I’ll have to look for a job with some experience since I saw Castro fail after working as a bookworm who didn’t suit his personality. I think it’s better for people to keep doing what they’re doing. I guess I’ll have to look for a job with some experience.”

    Boris nodded at those words.

“Who would hire someone your age as a new employee? You should make good use of your existing experience to get promoted to the level of team leader.”

“I know that too. But who would know that the 13th room experience is ruined? Hey anyway I saw that we’re both alive and not dead so that’s good. If you see me next time spare my life.”

When Goose smiled and said hello he turned around and was about to leave.

Suddenly another shadow appeared in front of him.

Goose flinched and stepped back sword in hand.

    “Salmak?”

Shadia holding a dagger blocked Goose’s path.

Boris who was behind looked at Goose and said.

“I just want to let you go Senior but our unit leader is like a knife. If I just let you go I’ll get stabbed.”

At those words Goose sighed deeply again.

“If you are tortured at this age your bones will not heal.”

“I see so… Senior are you able to contact the other members of Room 13?”

Goose looked at Boris with a puzzled expression then nodded.

“Yeah well we still keep in touch and hear each other’s news.”

Boris looked satisfied with his words and opened his mouth again.

“You said earlier that you were thinking of getting a career position. If I introduce you to a position would you like to take it? You will have to work under me but the conditions are good.”

Goose glanced at Shadia behind Boris’ words.

It was obvious that if I said no here I would be killed by the killer Salmak right away.

He put away the sword he was holding and looked at Boris and said.

    “…Is your salary okay?”

    Boris nodded.

Then Goose seemed to think for a moment then nodded and said.

“Then I guess it’s better to work under someone I know.”

He glanced at Shadia then looked at Boris and continued speaking.

“But you and that little girl where are you from? I don’t think you’re from the Central Kingdom. Did you get the job as an outsourced job from an independent organization?”

    Boris shook his head immediately.

    “No it’s direct management.”

“Direct management is good. It’s stable.”

“But the boss is a knight of salvation.”

    “what?”

Goose’s face turned white when he heard Boris’ words.

For the agents of Room 13 the name of the Knight of Salvation Zeke Draker was nothing short of a nightmare.

“Uh… I actually decided to talk to the other person too…”

Boris approached Goose and grabbed his shoulder grinning.

“Let’s do better from now on senior. No from today onwards you are Dmitry. Let’s start by sharing information about the inside of Jupiter Castle.”

Zeke looked at the being who named himself Lucifer.

    ‘Arrogant savior.’

Zeke had absorbed the soul of the arrogant savior he had stolen from Harvey West into his shadow.

But for some reason he never attained full divinity.

So just as when he had previously absorbed the Blood King Caligula his soul had remained in his subconscious he had assumed that the arrogant savior would not be completely absorbed by him but would be hiding somewhere in the realm of his subconscious. However it seemed that his thoughts were not wrong.

Lucifer smiled and said to Zeke.

“Well that was its name when it was a constellation and now that it has fallen it is called something else. There are quite a few names but the most commonly used is Satan.”

He said spreading his arms and looking around the canyon.

“It’s nice to be able to talk to you like this even if it’s just by borrowing the power of this canyon for a little while. I’ve been locked in for so long that it’s been hard to exert my strength properly.”

Zeke glared uncomfortably at Satan who was still turning his shoulders in the form of Laura Agamemnon.

Satan noticed this and shook his head with an exaggerated gesture.

“Aha I guess you don’t like the way I look. Well okay.”

At that moment Satan’s appearance changed.

This time it was a completely different appearance not someone from Zeke’s memories.

A handsome man with long black hair wearing a white suit appeared.

“It’s been a while since I’ve seen you in this form. In the past when I showed myself directly to humans they would be the epitome of beauty and would be very annoying.”

In fact Satan’s appearance was so perfect that it felt like the standard of all beauty on earth regardless of gender.

If you were a normal human you would be captivated just by looking at Satan’s face for it had such an intense beauty.

But Zeke still maintained his guard exuding the same aura even in the face of Satan’s alluring appearance.

Satan shook his head when he saw this.

“Zeke Draker you’re not a stranger anymore so calm down.”

    He snapped his fingers.

Then surprisingly the fog flowing through the valley stopped moving.

    ‘What is this…?’

With a single gesture Satan stopped time itself in the canyon.

At the same time a luxuriously decorated table and chairs appeared in the middle of the valley and there was even a tea set prepared on top of them.

    Satan beckoned to him.

“Opportunities like this don’t come often so let’s sit down and talk calmly.”

Satan sat down on the chair first crossed his legs elegantly and picked up his teacup.

Then the kettle floated into the air on its own and poured steaming tea into a cup.

Zeke watched Satan quietly then quickly sheathed his sword and sat down on the chair opposite him.

The kettle floated back up on its own and poured tea into Zig’s cup.

It was a clear yellow tea and it was a fragrance that even Zig had never smelled before.

Satan smirked at Zeke who was looking down at his teacup.

“You are also knowledgeable about tea. This is from a civilization that has disappeared so you can no longer taste it. What a pity.”

    Satan’s power was re-creation.

Since it was possible to combine karma to create something that existed before if only past data was available it was possible to recreate objects from lost civilizations.

Zeke took a sip of the tea Satan had created.

I really liked the subtle scent.

Satan who had been savoring his tea in silence for a while put down his half-empty cup and looked at Zeke.

“Zeke Draker would you believe me if I told you that I have been waiting for you for quite some time?”

As expected Zeke put down his teacup and opened his mouth at Satan’s words.

“It sounds like you’ve known me for a while now.”

At those words Satan smiled with the most charming smile possible.

“I knew it. It’s similar. I can’t say it’s you specifically but I expected someone to appear to take on the role you’re currently playing.”

Zeke looked questioning at Satan’s words.

“What role did I take on?”

“Don’t you know? I’m a time-traveler a fateful rebel created by the Elder Dragon and the Great Sage.”

Zeke was sent back to the past by the power of the ‘irreversible promise’ that the great sage had inscribed into the Elder Dragon’s relic.

It becomes clear that Satan knows that Zeke has returned from the future to the past.

He looked at Satan and asked.

“Have you been spying on my memories?”

Satan shook his head at Zeke’s words.

“It is true that you absorbed me and my soul was swallowed up in your consciousness so we share memories. However I can say that I have known about the role of ‘Rebel of Fate’ for a very long time.”

As Satan lifted his cup again the kettle filled it with more tea.

He continued taking another sip of the tea at just the right temperature.

“Do you know? I was the first one to resist fate after the world was created.”

Zeke frowned slightly at the unknown words.

    “What do you mean?”

“The light of the beginning. It means that I Satan was the first to resist him.”

The enemy of light the one who shines himself.

The first being to oppose the primordial light.

That was the arrogant savior Satan known to be closest to the primordial light.

He opened his mouth with an expression that seemed to be recalling the distant past holding his teacup.

“The light of the beginning wanted to create a perfect world. However the world that was created was somehow imperfect. He hated such imperfections to the point of obsession. However I thought differently from the light of the beginning. I thought that true beauty lay in that imperfection.”

    Satan stretched out his hand.

Then a halo of light spread out and projected traces of the past into a video.

There are countless civilizations that have now disappeared from the light of the beginning and no trace can be found.

Satan looked at those civilizations with a pitiful expression.

“Zeke Draker: What do you think has become of these lost civilizations?”

Zeke responded to Satan’s words in a calm voice.

“It would have been destroyed. That’s what your constellations have been doing all along.”

Satan shook his head at those words.

“I loved the civilization that was created in the phenomenal world and each and every mortal living there. That’s why I didn’t want to let them disappear so meaninglessly. That’s why I went against the primordial light.”

As he spoke footage emerged of a city being obliterated by a massive volcanic eruption.

But before the volcano engulfed the city a huge light appeared.

A noble being with wings made of a dozen pairs of light.

Zeke realized that the soul of that being was the same as Satan who was sitting in front of him now.

Satan enveloped the city with wings of light and moved out of the phenomenal world to the boundary of dimensions before the volcano could engulf them.

    An unstable and unstable world.

Satan preserved there the civilizations that were lost to the primordial light.

Civilizations that were on the verge of disappearing one by one connected with each other and finally became one world.

Zeke’s eyes grew wide as he watched the huge city in the video being completed.

    “Babel?”

The first demon city created by Satan leading the fallen constellations in the name of his arrogant savior.

A panoramic view of Babel appeared on video.

Satan looked at Babel with sad eyes and said:

“Yes Babel is a place where civilizations that were almost erased from the world of phenomena in the past were gathered together. That is what has become the current Demon World.”

Creatures who were abandoned by their creator and were destined to be erased.

Satan created a new world in order to resist the Creator and prevent the destruction of His creatures.

Zig finally realized the true identity of the demons and demon world monsters.

‘Refugees from a fallen civilization. They migrated to the unstable world of the Demon Realm.’

They were once residents of the phenomenal world but they were abandoned by the Creator and were pushed out of the world. They were moved to an unstable world and their appearance and characteristics must have changed drastically.

Satan said as he watched the image of Babel.

“Arrogant Savior. That’s a perfect description for me. I thought I could save them. In retrospect I was incredibly arrogant.”

As he disrupted the vision of Babel halos of light scattered in all directions.

Satan looked at Zeke again and said.

“Zeke Draker I have been waiting for a new Destiny Resistance to succeed me. The one who will break this damned wheel of destiny.”
