A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 565
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 565
Kookookookookook!
Entering the valley Zig heightened his alertness at the strange energy he felt from all directions.
‘This energy…’
A sticky feeling that sticks to the body.
It was none other than the energy of an outsider.
As he felt the dragon’s aura thick and as he went further inside he felt the aura of an outside species become stronger and Zeke became increasingly curious about the identity of the enemy king who had set this trap.
‘Is it connected to Harvey West who dealt with the power of the outside world? If not…’
The power of the outside world could not be precisely identified even using the Akashic Code.
Whenever I tried to read the information the karma data would break down.
‘If we catch the enemy king we might be able to find out what the power of the outside world is.’
Zeke went deeper into the valley protected by his Shadow Armor.
But then something appeared in front of Zeke.
“Zeke Draker.”
Surprisingly the one who showed up was Don Juan the boss of the McCain Cartel who had died by his hands long ago.
Zeke saw through Don Juan’s true nature his pupils completely black and knew at a glance that he was not real.
“I wondered what kind of trap he had set but it turned out to be a mental trap.”
Tsk tsk tsk―
The power of the Three Eyes rose from the muttering body of Zig.
These traps were useless in the face of the power of the Blood King the most powerful of the mental powers.
Zig tried to use the power of the Samjian to dispel Don Juan’s illusions without much thought.
But Don Juan’s appearance only became slightly blurred and returned to its original state.
A strange look appeared in Zeek’s eyes when he saw this.
‘Isn’t this just an illusion?’
Don Juan shook his body and looked at Zeke.
“I felt it while looking at the memories but as expected you have a hasty personality.”

Zig took out Levatein and aimed it at Don Juan.
“It’s not an illusion created by the enemy king. Who are you?”
Don Juan nodded.
“Yes as you said I am not just an illusion. I am definitely not the Don Juan you killed in your past life or in this life.”
Zeke displayed a strong murderous intent when the unidentified being disguised as Don Juan spoke of returning.
Then the being waved its hand and said.
“Whoa whoa calm down Zeke Draker. I didn’t show up like this to fight.”
The being that looked like Don Juan smiled faintly and looked around the valley as he spoke.
“Do you know what kind of place this is?”
Instead of answering Zeke still kept his guard up against the unknown being his eyes burning with life.
Then the being that looked like Don Juan shook its head and said that it could not be helped.
“This place used to be called the Dragon’s Graveyard. It was designed to lure dragons neutralize their powers kill them and steal their hearts.”
He said pointing to himself.
“This appearance now. It is a mixture of your past fears regrets and resentment.”
Soon Don Juan’s figure disappeared and Arthur Drake’s figure appeared.
“This is the same. This valley cleverly exploits the gaps in existence to create its own reality. Those who set up the trap here have amplified this power to make the illusion even more realistic. In order to strike a blow to the solid dragon’s mind.”
Zeke spoke to the unknown being who took the form of Arthur Draker.
“So you too are an illusion created by that damn trap.”
At those words the unknown being laughed and shook its head.
“I admit that I am able to meet you like this thanks to the unique power this valley has created. But I am not just an illusion.”
He continued looking at Zeke.
“Do you know why I came to see you in person?”
The unknown being spoke in a friendly voice as if he knew Zeke very well.
However because that face was Arthur Draker’s Zeke felt a strong sense of rejection.
The unknown being nodded as if it understood this.
“I see you’re uncomfortable with this face. Okay. How about this?”
The form of existence has changed again.
For a moment Zeke’s eyes wavered.
The person who appeared this time was none other than Zeke’s mother Laura Agamemnon.
An unknown being with the appearance of Laura Agamemnon looked at Zeke and smiled.
“Oh this is the sight that most shakes me up. Well that’s understandable. Do you know why dragons with supreme power and strength fell into this trap and couldn’t find their way back?”
The being in Laura’s form said with a mischievous smile as if it found this amusing.
“Dragons are originally emotionless beings. If I had to make a comparison they would be like old trees that live for thousands of years. Those dragons changed as they interacted with humans and learned their emotions and expressions.”
He continued speaking slowly.
“The dragons of the past would not have fallen for such a childish trap. But they have come to interact with humans and have even shared their hearts attempting to transcend the limits of their lifespan. How unworthy of dragons.”
Zeke said as he looked at the unknown being.
“What do you want to say?”

As he opened his mouth a being in the form of Laura Agamemnon clapped its hands in delight.
“Oh you finally opened your mouth. What I wanted to say was… that dragons also couldn’t control their emotions when they saw the person they loved here and they were dragged in even though they knew it was a trap. Just like you are now.”
At those words Zeke raised his sword and said.
“I didn’t come in with such childish feelings.”
“Is that really so? If there is a surviving dragon don’t you think that it should be saved?”
The unknown being knew exactly what Zeke was thinking outside the valley.
‘Surely that guy…’
Zeke could guess who the being in front of him was.
As Zeke’s eyes narrowed Laura Agamemnon raised her hand in an elegant manner and bowed her head as she spoke.
“Now I can properly greet you Zeke Draker.”
He sat up again and looked at Zeke.
“I have had many names. I have been called <The Self-Shining One> <The Arrogant Savior> the Lord of Hell the Enemy of Light and many more. But all of these are just adjectives in the end.”
He approached Zeke with a smile and said:
“Lucifer. That’s my true name.”
* * *
“This is…..”
Castro Pollock gaped as he watched the Allied forces regroup on the walls of Jupiter.
All of his plans including using monsters demons and even secret weapons had gone down the drain.
Thanks to the solid earthen wall built by Zeke the defense of the Allied positions became stronger than before.
Even if they fired again they would now be able to predict the range so they would be able to prepare for it.
Castro Pollock clenched his fists and trembled all over.
The adjutant standing next to him said as he saw Castro like that.
“Commander please calm down. In any case looking at the current situation we who are besieging have a much greater advantage…”
“Kkaaaaaaah!”
Castro shouted unable to contain his anger.
His eyes red and sparkling with madness showed a strong uncontrollable rage.
He drew his sword and aimed it at his adjutant saying:
“We have the advantage? We have the advantage! Is that what you’re saying now?”
Castro was taking out his anger on his aide who had been giving him advice the whole time after making the situation worse by being stubborn for no reason.
The adjutant was well aware of Castro’s tendencies from the beginning and tried to calm him down as much as possible.
“Their morale may be high for now but they have lost all their food and supplies in this attack. There is nothing more difficult to control than hungry soldiers and knights. If we just wait patiently they will fall apart on their own.”
It was rational and reasonable advice but it had already fallen on deaf ears for Castro.
He shouted swinging his sword at his adjutant.
“You dare to teach me! I am the commander! I am the king of this place!”
A red aura blade shot out from Castro’s sword and he swung it at his adjutant.
The adjutant was taken aback by Castro’s sudden attack took a step back and quickly pulled out his sword to block the attack.
Chae-Ang!
The adjutant who had skillfully blocked Castro’s sword retreated while blocking the subsequent attacks but accidentally fell down the wall as he failed to check the surroundings.
Kuung!
Castro became even more excited when he saw his adjutant fall from the high wall and shouted in a mad voice.
“Kill them! Kill them! Kill them all!”
At that moment a black shadow appeared next to Castro.
A warlock who looked like a wax doll stood next to Castro and whispered something in his ear.
“The master wants blood. Open the gates and let us have a bloody feast.”
Castro with his eyes filled with madness was completely immersed in the black magician’s magic.
He spoke to the knight behind him.
“Open the gates! Tell the riders and mercenaries to prepare to advance immediately!”
The knights were taken aback by Castro’s sudden order to prepare to advance but soon they fell back in surprise when he drew his sword again.
Ding ding ding!
The sound of drums announcing the advance echoed throughout the city of Jupiter.
The mercenaries who had been waiting stood up from their seats in confusion at the sudden signal to advance.
“what?”
“Are you going out of the castle now?”
“Are you crazy?”
As the mercenaries were running around in confusion due to the orders they did not understand the captain leading the Breaker mercenary force appeared.
The mercenary captain spoke to his men with red eyes and a body full of tendons.
“…Prepare to move out with your weapons immediately.”
The mercenaries sensed that their captain was in a strange state.
“Captain? Are you okay? Your condition doesn’t look very good right now…”
Choaaaak!
The mercenary captain swung his long sword and blew off the head of the mercenary who had spoken back to him.
Blood spurted like a fountain from the mercenary’s severed neck.
He shouted at his men with blood all over his face.
“The festival of blood! The festival of blood is about to begin!”
Starting with the mercenary captain knights who had fallen into madness began to appear here and there.
They became bloodthirsty demons took up arms and prepared to lead the soldiers out.
Soon the gates opened and the legion’s standard-bearers and mercenary corps began to rush out of Jupiter Castle and straight towards the Allied camp.
“Kuaaaaaaaaaah!”
Those who ran out screaming looked like fanatics consumed by madness.
And then there was someone looking down from the bottom of the wall his body crouching low.
‘This is the end now.’
He was the aide who assisted Castro Pollock.
Castro and the soldiers around him thought they had been pushed to their deaths by the sword and fell down the wall but in fact they had faked it and were looking for a place to escape.
The adjutant skillfully removed the badge from his body shaved his beard and changed his appearance.
The reason he who was the adjutant of the legion commander was able to possess such skills was because he was from the 13th Imperial Department.
Agents from Room 13 the core of the Roman Empire’s intelligence agency scattered here and there after the death of the Emperor seeking their own way to survive.
The adjutant also drifted here and there and ended up in Castro Pollock’s corps where he served as an adjutant.
But as he watched Castro being destroyed in real time he was just taking the opportunity to escape.
During that time Castro went mad and swung his sword creating an opening for them to naturally escape from the castle.
The adjutant whose appearance had changed in an instant took advantage of the confusion to leave Jupiter and go somewhere else.
‘Should I go towards the lawless area? They say there are a lot of rough guys there but it seems like a place where I can make a living with my skills. Or should I go to the Thieves’ Guild and get a career job?’
The adjutant who was looking over the situation and worrying about various things couldn’t help but stop even the slightest movement for a moment due to the cold air he felt behind him.
Before he knew it a black shadow had approached him and was holding a dagger to his neck.
‘I’m completely caught off guard.’
The adjutant realized that the person who had caught up with him was a powerful figure from the same lineage.
A person with this level of skill would have had his throat cut immediately if he had tried to rebel clumsily.
The adjutant immediately raised his hand and said.
“I am a deserter. Please spare my life and I will tell you everything I want.”
After a moment of silence the person behind the adjutant opened his mouth.
“Senior it’s been a while.”
It was none other than Boris who put a dagger to the adjutant’s neck.
