    Episode 561

    ‘Send a reply?’

Helen who had a blank expression for a moment soon nodded as she understood what Alicia meant.

“Very well. Your Highness please convey the will of the Allied Forces.”

After Helen gave permission Alicia smiled and twirled the iron bar in her hand.

Then he quickly grabbed the iron bar and prepared to throw it.

    Kugugugugugugu―

The power of great history blossomed from her.

    Kkwaddudduk!

The surface of the iron bar was dented by the tremendous force leaving a handprint behind.

Alicia stood there without even trying to help and threw the iron barb towards Count Vlad.

    Boooooooooooooooo!

The iron thorn split the air making a sound different from the one Count Vlad had thrown earlier.

The iron thorn that Alicia threw flew with the force of piercing Count Vlad.

Count Vlad stood motionless on his horse as he watched the iron spikes flying towards him.

Rather as the Dracula Knights nearby took out their shields and moved busily to prepare for defense the iron thorns thrown by Alicia rushed in close at an incredible speed.

But it passed right by him slightly off the path where Count Vlad had been.

    What happened next was amazing.

The iron barb that Alicia threw lodged itself in the wall behind her and the force it exerted was so strong that it caused the surrounding walls to collapse.

    Kururururung!

Even the Knights of Dracula known as the Cold-Blooded Knights couldn’t help but look shocked when they saw one side of the solid wall completely collapse.

When Alicia saw this she clicked her tongue and shook her hand as if it was a waste.

“Young lady I’m going to get scolded by the old man again. He said I couldn’t control my strength.”

He threw it with the intention of blowing off the enemy king’s head in one blow but unfortunately missed and ended up only destroying the unfortunate castle wall.

But Helen who was next to her shook her head at Alicia’s words.

“No His Majesty the Duke sent me a very nice reply.”

Alicia’s counterattack on Count Vlad’s provocation served as an opportunity to boost morale.

In addition there were still some families in the Central Continent who looked down on the Northern Knights but Alicia’s actions were able to change their perspective in an instant.

‘Today’s events may actually serve as an opportunity to strengthen the unity of the Allied Forces.’

Count Vlad who was standing still on his horse looked at where Helen and Alicia were then turned around and went back into the castle.

The Knights of Dracula also entered the castle with the Count leaving only the iron thorns stuck in the front of the castle in an ominous manner.

Fortunately traces of the collapse of the Jupiter Wall still remained.

If it weren’t for Alicia’s efforts the Allied forces’ morale would have dropped every time they saw the densely packed iron bars.

Helen looked at the Duke next to her and called out to him with a determined expression.

    “Your Majesty the Duke.”

Helen continued turning her gaze towards Alicia and the Knights of Himonas as the Duke looked at her.

“A plan to conquer Jupiter Castle has come to mind.”

    * * *

    bang!

Castro Pollock slammed the table hard throwing the glass in front of him onto the floor.

“Damn it! What on earth did Count Vlad go and do?”

He too was watching Count Vlad thrust thorns into the Allied forces to provoke them.

He also watched with satisfaction as the Count threw a thorn at the commander-in-chief the Iron Knight Helen Draker.

The Allied Forces would be unable to do anything despite his provocation and if they got into that situation their morale would drop and they would quickly fall apart so he thought it was the Count’s clever plan.

But the mood completely changed when the Northern Duke suddenly counterattacked.

    Castro Pollock gritted his teeth.

“Send out your riders and strike them down now! We can no longer stand to watch those stinking northerners run riot in our sacred empire!”

Castro Pollock who usually appears to be a gentleman becomes a completely different person when non-human species are involved.

So he already hated the Northern Continent where various races lived together and when the Northern Grand Duke the ruler of the Northern Continent showed remarkable activity he felt an unbearable anger.

The adjutant standing next to him said as he looked at Castro Pollock.

“My lord Jupiter’s castle is a place with a structure that is advantageous for sieges. There seems to be no need to abandon such an advantageous location and attack them.”

The adjutant’s words were something that Castro Pollock already knew well.

It was his plan from the beginning to settle in Jupiter and devise a long-term strategy.

But the thought of Northerners running around his front yard made him break out in hives.

Just as he was about to force the order again the attendant approached him bowed his head toward him and said:

“The Vice-Captain of the Knights of Dracula wishes to see you Commander.”

Castro Pollock took a deep breath trying to suppress his anger and regained his normal expression.

    “Tell them to come in.”

With permission the vice-captain of the Order of Dracula entered the office.

    chuck!

The vice-captain greeted him politely and spoke to Castro Pollock.

“I have come to convey the lord’s orders.”

Castro Pollock’s brow furrowed slightly at the vice-captain’s words.

It was he who occupied the castle of Jupiter and led the legions.

But compared to the fame of the Red King Castro Pollock’s nickname the Knight of the Twins was quite minor.

As a result he had been cautious when dealing with the enemy king but he was not in a good mood when the vice-captain openly gave him orders.

‘However in the current situation if there is no enemy king we are at a disadvantage.’

As he was originally good at worldly affairs he tried to relax his expression and spoke to the vice-captain.

“Haha what did the Count say?”

The vice-captain relayed the enemy king’s words with a measured but emotionless expression.

“You said that the Allied Forces will attack soon. We will need to prepare for this.”

Castro Pollock frowned again at the vice-captain’s words.

“Are you saying that the Allied Forces will attack the castle first?”

Castro knew that Jupiter Castle was a natural fortress and he thought that the Allied forces would not attack first when the enemy king had joined.

Then the vice-captain opened his mouth again.

“My lord said that the Allied Forces will provoke the corps commander to open the gates on our side first. He said that this would also be an attack so we must prepare for it.”

Castro’s expression hardened at the vice-captain’s words.

Even though he was the enemy king the current commander of the legion was Castro Pollock himself.

It was also rude of him to send his subordinate instead of coming himself to deliver such insulting remarks.

The aide next to Castro sensed that the atmosphere was tense and stepped forward before Castro exploded.

“It seems that His Majesty is very upset by the Northern Grand Duke’s provocation. However I would advise you to refrain from being overly concerned as this could have an adverse effect on the morale of your legions.”

The deputy commander had no particular response to the adjutant’s words.

Castro Pollock opened his mouth with difficulty suppressing the anger boiling inside him.

“…Tell the Count that you understand what he means and that he need not worry.”

After hearing Castro’s answer the vice-president with his expressionless face gave a polite greeting and left the office.

After the vice-captain left Castro’s face hardened and he clenched his fists.

    ‘…Fuck.’

Although it was insulting for now it was best to rely on the enemy king’s reputation to keep the Allied forces in check.

After the Duke of Craban turned his back he was anxious because there was no black knight to support his legions but the only enemy king to join was Jupiter.

So he had no choice but to suppress his anger.

Castro Pollock sighed heavily trying to contain his anger for the ultimate victory.

But this resolution was bound to be broken the next day.

This was because the day after the enemy king’s provocation Alicia began throwing skewers with iron balls toward Jupiter Castle.

    Kwakwakwakwakwakwang!

Even when a sharp thorn was stuck in one side of the wall would collapse so when a skewer with a heavy iron ball flew in it was no different from a siege weapon.

The iron balls that Alicia fired blew away the iron spikes that were threateningly stuck in front of the castle and at the same time they were embedded in the castle walls in a splendid manner.

Upon seeing this the fear of the thorns disappeared from the hearts of the Allied forces and their morale actually rose.

There as if on purpose the northern knights and other races mingled drinking and taunting them with their voices raised by magic.

“Poohahahaha! Castro Pollock you little punk! Come and have a drink with me!”

Castro Pollock who was already a racist was already unhappy with the Northerners lining up in front of him and this made him even angrier.

But even so Castro Pollock somehow managed to endure it.

I thought that if there was no response I would just leave it like that for a few days but that was a thought I made without any understanding of the characteristics of northerners.

The mockery of the northerners grew worse by the day.

“Hahahaha! There’s a rumor that the reason that Castro that X-god became a racist was because he got dumped by a dwarf girl!”

“Hahahaha! A dwarf maiden? I heard she got dumped by an orc maiden!”

The insults amplified by magic reverberated all the way to Jupiter’s castle.

After a week of such standoffs Castro Pollock finally exploded.

    He shouted at his adjutant.

“I’ll wipe them out right now!”

The aide spoke calming down Castro who was shouting in an excited voice.

“It is not a good situation to engage in an all-out war with the Allied Forces right now. As time goes by they will surely lose their justification and fall apart.”

Then Castro shouted at his aide.

“You can say that after seeing what they are doing now! Now they have even brought in a minstrel and made a song to mock me and they are singing it all day long! I can hear the tune of that song even in the castle!”

As a noble family Castro Pollock valued honor and had a strong sense of pride.

He couldn’t stand it any longer and exploded in anger because he was being ridiculed by the northerners and other races who considered him a savage.

The Roman Empire which had many noble families that had inherited their traditions since the Seven Kingdoms era was particularly prone to showing off their pride among each family.

Castro who felt that his honor had been seriously damaged wanted to open the gates at any moment storm out and wipe out all the bastards.

But he was no fool and he knew how foolish it would be to lead the legion himself.

Castro frowned trying to calm his excitement then slowly opened his mouth with a sigh.

    “What was the Count’s reaction?”

The adjutant spoke in a calm voice.

    “It’s still quiet no response.”

Given that the Red King was the first to tell Castro not to respond to the provocation it seemed that he intended to remain holed up in the castle.

Castro clenched his teeth as he listened to his adjutant.

At the same time other doubts began to creep into his mind.

‘Surely the Count is not waiting for my reputation to decline so that he can strike me at the crucial moment and take Jupiter for himself?’

Because I couldn’t sleep properly due to the taunts from my enemies all sorts of thoughts came to my mind.

Castro Pollock pressed his temples to collect his thoughts.

After a while he spoke to his adjutant.

“Tell the warlocks to open the gate towards the Allied forces.”

The adjutant was startled by his words.

“If we open the gate here the troops on the Termo Gate side may be isolated.”

Castro jumped up from his seat.

“After we wipe out those guys with monsters we can send troops from this side and attack Rom!”

    He continued clenching his teeth.

“If we attack them from behind with monsters they won’t be able to sit back and relax like that. If we send in the mercenary group and the Knights of Dracula while they are being chased and confused the Allied Forces will quickly fall apart.”

The adjutant’s face hardened at Castro’s words.

But it seemed impossible to turn back his decision once it was made up.

‘It would be best to crouch here but if the Allied Forces hold out a bit longer and the reconstruction of Rom is completed and the other families unite around Prince Leo we may be counterattacked instead.’

The adjutant thought calmly and then nodded.

“Understood. I will convey your command to the warlocks.”

As the adjutant left Castro Pollock went to the window and looked out at the Allied camp outside the castle still tumultuous.

His eyes became cold and sank.

‘Just wait a moment you filthy outcasts. I’ll hang your heads on the wall.’
