    Episode 558

The fundamental reason why the Demon King’s descent is not prevented from heaven.

Zeke looked at Ramiel and asked.

Ramiel did not open his mouth readily in response to his question.

Zeke’s eyes narrowed when he saw this.

“I guess you haven’t come to your senses yet.”

Zeke took hold of Solomon’s Chain and breathed the power of chaos into it.

And this time instead of the power of salt the power of corruption was poured in.

    Tsk tsk tsk―

The power of corruption which corrupts everything and causes its form to collapse combined with the chaos and flowed into Ramiel’s soul.

    [Huhhhhhh!]

Ramiel’s soul trembled bewildered by the power of corruption that Zeke had unleashed.

The very concept of corruption was inapplicable to the Eternal Constellations who had no physical body.

But power was not a force that represented phenomena but a force that contained essence.

As the concept of ‘corruption’ flowed into Ramiel’s soul he felt as if his body in the heavens was melting away.

    [Kkaaaaaaah!]

A humiliation and vivid pain that was hard to bear for a noble constellation enveloped his soul.

Zeke spoke to Ramiel retaining the power of corruption.

“The soul of the constellation will not be easily destroyed. I will maintain this state for a very long time.”

In some ways eternity could be a cause for even greater suffering.

Ramiel had already realized that Zeke was a being who was more than capable of carrying out the words he spoke.

He slowly opened his mouth trying to endure the humiliation and pain.

    [It’s a treaty.]

As Ramiel opened his mouth Zeke’s power stopped for a moment.

“Tell me specifically what kind of treaty it is.”

Ramiel who had surrendered himself to Zeke’s power spat out a shameful curse in a new voice.

[…there is a treaty that prevents celestial intervention. We cannot directly intervene in what happens in the phenomenal world unless it goes beyond the constraints of karma.]

Zeke said with a look of not understanding what Ramiel said.

“Weren’t the constellations of the heavens the ones who created the constraints of karma? Why did they create such constraints for themselves?”

Ramiel who had been silent in response to Zeke’s new question slowly opened his mouth as Zeke grabbed the chain again.

[It’s not something we created. It’s… an absolute law created by the light of the beginning so there’s nothing we can do about it.]

Zeke couldn’t help but be surprised when he heard Ramiel’s words.

‘The treaty made by the primordial light that had already disappeared still had influence on the constellations.’

But after the surprise had somewhat subsided and Zik had gathered his thoughts on the new question that had arisen he asked again.

“Even if the Light of the Beginning had made such a treaty you would have found a way to intervene somehow. The demons of the Underworld are also breaking free of the constraints of karma and rising to the phenomenal world and you say you can’t do anything about it?”

In response to his question Ramiel spoke to Zeke in a voice that was not the same.

[You insignificant mortal. Even though we have given you the answer do you still not understand? Why we have neglected them?]

When Zeke heard Ramiel’s words something suddenly occurred to him.

    ‘no way?’

    He said looking at Ramiel.

“Are you saying that your way of intervening is to neglect the demons and the demon race of the Demon World?”

Ramiel had no answer to Zeke’s words.

In that moment everything fell into place in Zig’s head.

‘If the Demon World invades the phenomenal world and revives the Demon King there will be problems with the constraints of karma. Then there may be a gap in the absolute treaty created by the Primordial Light.’

    Zeke said looking at Ramiel.

“You are deliberately hoping for the Demon King to be resurrected. Only then can you reconfigure the phenomenal world in a way that suits your amusement.”

Building and destroying civilizations of the phenomenal world has been a long-repeated pastime of the constellations a way of exploiting the karma they need.

Ramiel said in an arrogant voice.

[To borrow a human expression ‘settled wine needs to be stirred.’ If left for too long the wine may spoil or unnecessary things may be created.]

Zeke furrowed his brows as he heard Ramiel’s words.

This was because it was clearly felt that the constellations viewed the phenomenal world and all beings within it as nothing more than their playthings or resources.

Zeke said gripping the chains that bound Ramiel tightly.

“They are deliberately leaving the Demon Realm alone in order to allow for a large-scale intervention from the Celestial Realm. While waiting for them to break the constraints of Karma.”

[Yes. Those dirty losers think they can handle us but they are sorely mistaken. To us the creatures of the phenomenal world and those dirty losers are no different.]

Ramiel who was held in Zeke’s hands maintained an extremely mad attitude.

He said with a mocking look on his face as he looked at Zig.

[Foolish and ungodly creature. Now you hold on to God and despise Him so you may have a vulgar sense of superiority but in the end your end will be like Solomon.]

Zeke chuckled at those words and said

“You are overly confident. You were so afraid of Solomon’s power that you barely managed to survive by putting your beloved people first.”

Ramiel was startled by Zeke’s words.

It was a history that had been erased long ago and no creature remembered it.

It was the most humiliating memory for the gods but when Zeke brought it up Ramiel felt an unbearable sense of shame.

    He shouted at Zeke.

[You will be punished! A punishment without any mercy…!]

Zig whose mind was now in order ignored Ramiel and took out Solomon’s ring from his inventory.

Ramiel who saw the ring was shocked and stopped screaming.

    [That’s…?]

When the divine relic of the God Slayer which could even seal the soul of a constellation appeared he was unable to maintain the same crazy attitude as before.

Zeke said as he looked at Ramiel like that.

“I see you know what this is.”

Ramiel continued speaking in a bewildered voice.

[How could that still be there…? I clearly erased all traces…]

Zeke obtained Solomon’s Ring from a random box received from the Upside-down Tower.

The Upside-Down Tower was a training ground for dragons and dragonmen created by the Elder Dragon and because it was a place where fragments of time erased by the constellations were gathered the data for the lost Solomon’s Ring also remained there.

And the Kabbalah system gave priority to Solomon’s Ring which was the most lethal to the constellations among the artifacts that could be created from random boxes outside of the rank.

Zeke showed Solomon’s ring and spoke to Ramiel.

“I haven’t even absorbed the soul of the arrogant savior yet so I think it would be too much if I absorbed your soul as well. In the first place your entire body hasn’t even descended.”

He slowly brought his ringed hand towards Ramiel.

Then Ramiel flinched and tried to back away.

[What are you trying to do!]

Zeke held out Solomon’s Ring and used the power of sealing with his dragon tongue towards Ramiel.

“Ramiel the master of the private palace. May his soul be contained in this ring.”

    Kugugugugugu!

Ramiel’s soul which had descended into the body of an angel began to emit a brilliant light and was sucked into Solomon’s ring.

    [Kkaaaaaaah!]

Without any time to worry about his reputation as a constellation Ramiel screamed and tried to hold out somehow preventing his soul from being sucked out.

However the power of the seal contained in Solomon’s ring was something that even the constellations could not block.

Although his main body existed in the heavens his soul body containing his essence was sucked into Solomon’s ring.

    Tsk tsk tsk tsk―

A brilliant light seeped into Solomon’s ring and a symbol representing the four directions of the sky appeared on its surface.

The soul of Ramiel one of the masters of the thirteen zodiac signs was sealed within the ring.

    Grrrrrrr!

As Ramiel’s soul escaped the thirteenth sentinel the angel awoke again.

    Gooooooooo!

He screamed and tried to break free from the chains that were wrapped around his body.

Zeke muttered casting his shadow toward the angel.

“I don’t have the capacity to absorb someone like you.”

The shadow enveloped the angel and slowly eroded him.

    Gooooooooooo!

After a while the angel was absorbed into Zeke’s shadow.

The world began to gradually collapse as Ramiel was sealed and even the angel who had created this unique realm in the first place was absorbed into Zeke’s shadow.

    Kookookookookook!

The sacred city of Laocoon was shattered into pieces like glass.

After Zeke used his power of spiritualization to enter the dimensional rift he stayed by Raven’s side to make sure he didn’t get lost.

    Kookookookookook!

A huge roar echoed across the dimensional gap.

As if in a dream a city completely collapsed and turned to white ash.

    Tsk tsk tsk tsk―

After his original domain completely disappeared Zigg who had been hiding in the dimensional rift returned to his original location in the phenomenal world.

Sieg and Raven reappear in the cave located at the lowest level of Siemens’ underground labyrinth.

    Cheeeeeeeeek―

A white mist like vapor rose from Zeke’s body as he emerged from the dimensional rift and numerous previously unseen messages appeared before his eyes.

Having absorbed the soul of the arrogant savior sealed the soul of one of the ten archers and absorbed the thirteenth sentinel the angel system messages were enough to fill your field of vision.

But that wasn’t what mattered to Zeke.

‘You can check the message later. First the important thing is…’

As soon as Zeke emerged from the dimensional rift his senses opened.

Catching Harvey West was a top priority as he could have come back to the dimensional rift with him.

Harvey West was a creation of the great sage even though his arrogant savior’s soul was stolen by Zeke.

Moreover although he was not an Irregular he was a being that deviated from the laws of the world in some other way so it was impossible to detect him using normal methods.

However Zig’s senses which had been raised to a higher level of divinity could sense subtle changes.

Zig held Levatein and swung his sword towards a certain spot.

    Choaaaah!

Surprisingly the space where he slashed with his sword shook and Harvey West who had been hiding appeared.

    Woohoo!

As he raised his hand and generated magical power Zeke’s sword strikes dispersed like fog.

Harvey West said looking at Zeke.

“…Zeke Draker what on earth is your identity?”

He had no choice but to admit that Zeke had something more to him than he had expected.

I always thought that I was the only one qualified to go to the final stage but then I realized that Zeke who I thought was an off-stage character might actually be the real main character.

Zeke said looking at Harvey West.

    “I am just me.”

Harvey West shook his head at his answer.

“…No Zeke Draker you too are just one of the tragic characters struggling while caught in the web of a cruel fate.”

“It’s funny how you always talk like a cheap actor. I’ll kill you and put an end to your ill-fated relationship with Narak today.”

Zeke raised his sword and charged at Harvey West.

    But that was the moment.

    Kwakwakwakwakwang!

The bomb that Boris had installed exploded instantly destroying the underground labyrinth.

    Kurururururung!

Rocks fell from the ceiling of the underground labyrinth with a loud noise.

At that split second Harvey West stepped back and opened the gate.

When Zeke saw this he immediately raised his sword.

Then he swung his sword at Harvey West.

    Choaaaaaaah!

Zeke’s sword strike was just about to cut down Harvey West as he entered the gate.

    Kkwaddudduk!

Suddenly something shot out from the gate and blocked Zeke’s sword strike with its body preventing the attack from completely cutting down Harvey West.

    Kurururururung!

In an instant rocks fell where Zig had been and Siemens’ underground labyrinth disappeared without a trace.

    * * *

    Woohoo!

Zigg appeared having opened the coordinates on the ground near Siemens’ underground labyrinth.

Zeek who walked out with his brows furrowed and a normal appearance was holding something in his hand.

One who blocks his own attack by throwing his body at the last moment.

Zeke threw him to the floor and checked his covered face.

    Then he clenched his molars.

    ‘…Master Kaisir’s homunculus.’

There were other things besides the homunculi that were eaten by the angel fragments.

Zeke reached out to the homunculus that had stopped functioning.

Then with the wisdom of the dragon he accessed the Akashic Code and read the information remaining within it.

Although most of the information had been erased Zigg with his increased divine status was able to access deeper areas than before.

    Jiji …

In the midst of the loud noise Zig was able to discover something.

At the same time his eyes flashed open.

The image that was hidden in Caesar’s homunculus.

It was the face of someone Zeke knew well.

    ‘…Arthur Draker.’

King Arthur Draker he was the one whose trace was imprinted on the homunculus.
