    Episode 55

    bang!

When Don Juan slammed his fist on the desk the solid wood of the desk split into pieces.

He took a deep breath and shouted at the cartel bosses.

“Do you think this makes sense right now?!”

Half of McCain Cartel bosses found dead a month after raid on favela cartel

All the dead bosses’ bodies had Favela’s name written on them.

Don Juan gritted his teeth and shouted.

“No matter what wipe out all the favela cartel bastards! No matter what you do!”

The cartel bosses became tense at the sound of Don Juan’s murderous voice.

“Oh no we’re in big trouble!”

At that moment the conference room door opened wide and a member of the organization rushed in and spoke in an urgent voice.

    “The port side was hit!”

With the road leading to the border area blocked the ports on the southern continent were the only places where goods could be transported.

At those words Don Juan grabbed the neck of the person who had delivered the news with a devilish expression.

“Damn it! What happened to the stuff I stored in the warehouse!”

When Don Juan grabbed his throat the member of the organization was unable to answer properly and collapsed foaming at the mouth.

    thud!

Don Juan threw the fallen member to the ground and took a deep breath.

He went to his desk took out some soma and sniffed it through his nose.

    “Phew. Phew.”

Another executive standing nearby spoke to Don Juan.

“Boss how about you leave McCain alone until things get better?”

Then Don Juan looked at him and said:

“Are you telling me to run away now?”

The executive spoke in a calm voice.

“Those crazy pirates will definitely come to McCain to get their hands on the boss. Why not take advantage of the situation?”

At those words Don Juan’s expression changed.

“Are you saying we should lure them to McCain and destroy them all?”

“That’s right. If you catch those guys coming to McCain and the boss launches a counterattack the favela guys will get scared and run straight to the South Sea.”

Don Juan who had been pondering after hearing the manager’s words nodded.

“That makes sense. It seems plausible.”

“You can command the situation from Tahuani’s side and if the counterattack is successful you can launch an all-out attack right away. Of course it will be successful.”

    “No it’s Tahuani.”

Tahuani was the area closest to the border.

And there was a safe house prepared by Don Juan.

He looked at the executives and said.

“A crisis always makes us stronger.”

Don Juan had already returned to his polite tone. And he decided on the spot to move his residence towards Tahuani.

    * * *

That night Don Juan and his men secretly left the mansion in a carriage.

Then he ran straight towards Tahuani.

Don Juan who had run for two days without rest and finally arrived at Anga had a bitter expression on his face when he saw that Anga was much smaller than his original mansion.

While he was sighing his men carried Don Juan’s belongings into the living quarters.

We had quite a bit of luggage as we had to stay here until McCain’s situation was sorted out.

‘You damn pirates. I’ll wipe them all out.’

He went up to his room put on some music smoked a cigar and drank alcohol.

I sat still with my eyes closed for a while and then I felt something strange.

Don Juan opened his eyes slightly and saw someone standing there.

“I’ll call you if I need you. Stay out.”

Despite his words Inyoung did not disappear and stood tall.

Just as Don Juan was about to scream he came forward and showed his face.

For a moment Don Juan’s face hardened.

    “Zeke Murray.”

His expression distorted when he saw Zeek who was thought to have died in the raid on the favela side.

Zick looked at Don Juan and said:

“You’re at ease Don Juan. Even though things are pretty bad.”

At those words Don Juan gulped down the wine he was drinking and opened his mouth.

“Do you think I’ve never faced threats like this before on my way up to this position? Of course not. This isn’t even dangerous to me.”

    Zeke nodded at those words.

“Good. I was worried that you would cry and beg for your life. That would take the fun out of revenge.”

At Zeke’s words Don Juan slammed the table.

“You insolent bastard! You threaten me when you’re just a young assassin! Don’t you know who I am?”

Zigg chuckled at Don Juan’s threat.

“Are you scared? You’re just bragging.”

Don Juan’s breathing began to become labored.

Despite his loud shouts no one entered the room.

    Zeke told him.

“If you’re waiting for the other subordinates you better not expect anything. There won’t be any living ones.”

At those words Zeke took out his dagger and approached Don Juan.

“In my previous life I didn’t have time to properly inflict pain. I always regretted that but it turned out really well.”

    “What? What do you mean?”

Zeke’s expression turned cold as he held the dagger.

“I was treated like a dog under you. I killed everyone indiscriminately to show my loyalty. Even now I sometimes have dreams about you. People begging me not to kill them.”

Don Juan hesitated and stepped back.

“I don’t know! Stop talking nonsense!”

“It’s funny. While you were enjoying all the luxury and fame with blood and drugs this land was filled with corruption and despair. It was all because of you.”

Don Juan cried out in a fit of fits.

“I am the savior chosen by God! Thanks to me the poor have jobs and thanks to me this city is moving!”

“Stop whining. You piece of trash.”

Zick approached Don Juan and continued speaking.

“Don Huang You will never be saved by God.”

Don Juan who had been hesitating to step back suddenly picked up an axe hanging on the wall and threw it at Zeke.

However Zeke did not dodge the axe but just stood there and deflected it with his Yongrin Gap skill.

    Ting!

The axe bounced off and ended up in Don Juan’s thigh.

    “Ugh!”

    He staggered holding his thigh.

Zik approached Don Juan without stopping.

“This time I will kill you very painfully and slowly.”

Don Juan felt the cold hard touch of the dagger on his face.

Don Juan’s screams could be heard for hours inside the room.

    * * *

As soon as Zeke came out of the room Simon ordered his men to dispose of Don Juan’s mangled body.

“If you throw it in the Shark Dragon Farm they will take care of it.”

Don Juan probably had no idea that his own body would be disposed of by the shark dragons he so proudly boasted about.

Simon and Zeke approached Kay who was smoking a cigarette downstairs.

    “Are you done organizing?”

Zeke nodded and sat down across from Kay.

    “Is the syndicate side finished?”

    Kay nodded.

“Yes. I was in charge of the actual work in the first place and the executives tried to side with the favela but they were killed by Don Juan so there wasn’t really any opposition. Simon took care of the guys who wanted to leave.”

“Okay. For a while I’ll go with Simon and absorb the power flowing out of the McCain Cartel.”

“Are you asking us to play the role of a cartel?”

“No the syndicate can continue what they’re doing. Simon will take charge of the southern organization.”

Simon nodded silently to Zeke’s words.

Kay checked it and then shook his head at Zeke.

“I really thought we would take down the McCain cartel.”

“With Don Juan gone the McCain cartel will be in complete disarray. This is what’s important now.”

    Kay nodded at Zeke’s words.

Then Zeke handed something to Kay.

    “what’s this?”

“I signed a contract with Reinhart Trading Company. They said they are going to create a pharmaceutical company this time. If we use high-quality soma as the raw material and hire a skilled alchemist we can process it into various medicines. We plan to create a route to officially import and export soma and make it into medicines and sell it.”

    “ha?”

Despite Kay’s bewildered reaction Zeke pointed to Simon and said.

“Once the reorganization is complete Simon will drive out the rebels from the Kingdom of Cusco. After legalizing the production of soma with the permission of the Kingdom of Cusco if Reinhart goes through the formal import process it will be possible to distribute it legally.”

“You want us to do the Yangji business too?”

“No the syndicate can continue to do what it was doing. We’ll find someone to run that business separately. Once the medicine is made the syndicate just needs to take care of transporting it. However we’ll have to set up a ghost transport company at least formally.”

Kay carefully reviewed the plan Zeke had laid out.

It seemed like it would be advantageous for the syndicate to hide behind a transport company that could transport official medicines.

Kay nodded after hearing Zeke’s words.

“Okay. There will be internal resistance at first but we’ll try to do something about it.”

“Okay. Simon you stay with Kay until things get sorted out.”

    “Okay boss.”

Zeke stood up from his seat.

    “I’ll wake up first.”

    “Where are you going?”

    “I have an appointment.”

“What? What promise all of a sudden?”

Zeke shrugged his shoulders as if he had no intention of answering and went straight out of the mansion.

Then I turned on the map and opened a portal.

In an instant the area around his body rippled and a portal opened.

Zeke’s body disappeared along with the light.

    * * *

    “Phew.”

It was a zeppelin that moved between continents in an instant.

‘It’s painful that 600 points flew away at once.’

Zeke who appeared near the Atlas ruins rode Bucephalus and headed somewhere.

The place he arrived was none other than a hotel in the heart of the city.

Zeke landed in an inconspicuous place sent Bucephalus back to the spirit world and went inside the hotel.

Then I was guided up to the sky lounge on the top floor of the hotel.

“Oh! You’re here! Zeke come in!”

Someone greeted Zig noisily from the VIP seats in the Sky Lounge.

He was none other than Carus Nerva Constantine the fourth prince of the Roman Empire.

The prince who had been invited to the Four Seasons was still staying in Atlas and had called Zeke here.

When he heard the unexpected news from Decker that the Prince’s invitation message had arrived via long-distance communication Zeke smelled something.

‘I had a feeling it might be and it was as expected.’

Sitting next to the prince were Abel Drake and William Siemens.

Abel stood up and greeted Zeke.

“It’s been a while Zeke. I heard you’re currently in the middle of a closed-door training session so I’m not sure if I’ve disturbed you.”

Zeke spoke to Abel in a polite manner.

“Don’t worry. I’ve been feeling frustrated lately because there hasn’t been much progress.”

Zeke looked at Abel carefully as he answered.

I wondered if he suspected that the current situation in the South was because of him.

Zeke deliberately traveled through the portal to create an alibi.

No matter how fast you move it is physically impossible to receive an invitation and travel from the Southern Continent to the Central Continent the next day due to the distance.

‘If it’s not about the South why did you call me?’

Carus oblivious to Zeke’s thoughts simply filled his glass with alcohol in excitement.

“Abel and William may be good at work but they’re not fun to play with! I hope you’re not like that Zeke.”

Zeke chuckled and picked up the glass Karus had given him.

“I would like to raise a toast to a pleasant time with your Highness the Prince.”

Then Carus became excited and raised his glass high.

    “Cheers!”

The two drank the liquor worth more than 10 gold coins in one gulp like water.

When Zeke drank better than expected Karus was delighted.

The alcohol was passed around like that several times.

Because of his healing factor Zigg didn’t get drunk no matter how much he drank so in the end Karus fell first.

    “Hmm. Hmm.”

As William went out to carry the drunk Carus to the guest room only Abel and Zeke were left in the room.

Abel took out the wine and poured it into his own glass with elegance.

Then he took out a new glass placed it in front of Zeke and poured wine into it.

He said looking at Zeke while holding his wine glass.

“Zeke I have something to ask you.”

    “Please speak.”

    Abel said staring at Zeke.

“What do you think about Drake now?”

‘Why are you suddenly asking me this?’

Before even hearing Zeke’s answer Abel spoke first.

“I intend to take down Drake someday.”
