    Episode 491

Based on information from Baron and the enemies Zeke was certain that Ramon Siemens was in Baranaon and moved there.

He first headed to the mansion of Hoshgar Nirvana in Baranaon to stop Ramon Siemens.

    “Master!”

Richmond and Bane who were staying at Hoshgar’s mansion welcomed Zeke upon his arrival.

It felt different than when I was always summoned and dragged in.

Zeke let Bucephalus and Raven loose in the front yard of the mansion where they could play freely.

And Zig who was inspecting Hoshgar’s mansion for the first time in a long time was momentarily speechless at the sight of its changed appearance.

    “…Richmond. What happened there?”

Surprisingly Hoshgar’s mansion had been transformed into something gloomy eerie and gloomy just like the place where Lich lived.

There were monster statues placed all over the place and on one side there were monster byproducts unidentifiable bones and ancient relics of strange shapes piled up.

Of course it was a place that people avoided in the past because it was called a ghost town but it was more eerie now than then.

Richmond smiled shyly at Zeke’s words.

    “Hehehe isn’t it great Master?”

Richmond had an aesthetic sense that was completely different from others.

    Zeke spoke coldly to Richmond.

“Clean it all up before I burn it myself.”

Richmond opened his mouth wide in shock at those words.

“Huh? Clean it up. There’s nothing to clean up…”

    Whoosh! Whoosh!

Only after Zeke created the white flame did Richmond start to move in a panic.

“I will clean it up! Of course master!”

Richmond’s undead and Dullahan began to work hard to clear away the hideous things that had piled up in front of the mansion.

Zeke watched this for a while then clicked his tongue and approached Bane.

“Bane have you done anything wrong? If you have tell me quickly.”

    Then Bane shook his head.

“I am qualitatively different from the monster-crazy Lich.”

Unlike regular liches Bane an elemental lich who could use elemental magic had high self-esteem.

As Zeke nodded something appeared behind him.

    Woof! Woof! Woof!

A dozen ice wolves armed with jagged ice swords ran around the front yard of the mansion with ominous eyes.

Looking at this Bane smiled with satisfaction at the subject of the skull.

    “Isn’t it cute Master?”

    “….”

It was Zeke who forgot that both of them were Richie from Nirvana.

Only after ordering the menacing ice wolves to be tied up on one side of the garden did Zeke take Bane inside.

He took a box out of his bosom and handed it to him.

    “What is this Master?”

    “Open it and see.”

When Bane opened the box a tremendous cold air came out from inside.

Bane looked at Zeke in surprise.

    “What is this?”

It was an ice-type elemental stone made by strengthening the eternal ice crystal.

Zeke said as he looked at Bane.

“Would it be possible to create an artifact using this?”

Bane who was looking closely at the elemental stone soon shook his head.

“Whiu this ore contains such incredible cold energy… In conclusion I think it would be impossible with my skills.”

“If the only 8-circle ice magician can’t do it then who can?”

“It’s not a problem with the circle but it seems like this isn’t an item that can be moved by magic in the first place.”

Elemental Stones were items that contained the coldness of the beginning so they had to be considered as being within the realm of power.

Even Arkrichin Bane was unable to control the power so he could not create an artifact with the elemental stones.

Zeke understood Bane’s words and nodded with regret.

Then Bane looked at the elemental stones remembered something and opened his mouth.

“When I see this cold that comes to mind.”

    He continued.

“Do you remember what I asked you to do before?”

Zeke thought for a moment and then nodded.

“You asked me to melt a coffin that was stuck in ice. It was Arthur Draker’s request.”

“That’s right. The cold I felt in that coffin back then was similar to this now.”

Zeke was surprised to hear Bane’s words.

‘So does that mean that the coffin was frozen by someone with power?’

Zeke also had the power of freezing.

And that power was obtained by absorbing the Nephilim the Snow Queen.

‘Could it be that the Snow Queen froze the coffin with her power of freezing? Or was it another being with her power…?’

It was unclear why Arthur Draker had the coffin frozen by his power and what he intended to do with it by thawing it.

‘Perhaps Arthur Draker’s legacy has something to do with that coffin.’

Zeke put the elemental stone back in the box and stored it in his inventory.

Then Richmond came in having cleared out the entire mansion.

“Whew it’s all cleaned up Master.”

Zeke who had been looking at him pitifully noticed the incense burner in Richmond’s hand and asked.

    “What is that Richmond?”

He said as if he was reminded of Richmond by Zeke’s words.

“Remember what I told you last time? The ancient relic that was discovered in the Natural Undead Dungeon?”

    “Do you still have it?”

“I had put it aside and forgotten about it but I found it while I was cleaning up earlier and brought it here.”

Although it was old it was surprising that precious ancient relics were piled up together with monster supplies.

    “Bring it and see.”

It seemed like something out of the ordinary as it was an ancient relic from the mansion of Hoshgar the first patriarch of Nirvana.

Zeke looked around at the old incense burner Richmond had brought.

    ‘I think there’s something there.’

Just looking at it I didn’t feel much of it.

“Is there anything special about this incense burner Richmond?”

“As I told you back then ghosts kept popping out from inside here and it was quite a headache.”

“Hmm it seems like everything is fine now?”

    “Look at this.”

Richmond raised his mana towards the censer.

A strange ghostly sound echoed from the incense burner as if in response to the dark mana that Lich had created.

    Kkaaa …

At the same time ghosts began to rise up like smoke from an incense burner.

    Kkaaa …

A flood of indistinct ghosts emerged wandering around the area in confusion.

Zeke looked at the grayish phantoms who were croaking loudly.

Richmond shook his head with a look of disgust.

“Those kinds of guys keep popping up.”

“It doesn’t seem to be a spirit-shaped monster like a race.”

“Yes it’s a ghost but it doesn’t really have the power of a curse. It just keeps making noise and being annoying.”

Zeke tried to summon the power of the Blood King and subdue the flying ghosts.

    Kkaaa …

    Squeak-

    Kaaaaaaaaaah―

However the ghosts did not seem to be subdued at all but rather flocked towards Zigg who had summoned the power of the Blood King. They seemed to react to his power like insects flocking to a light.

‘It’s neither a spirit nor a ghost. This is the first time I’ve seen anything like it.’

Zik examined the incense burner with his three eyes.

Surprisingly even with the power of the Blood King it was impossible to properly examine the structure or interior of the incense burner.

It seemed as if a powerful seal was placed on the incense burner itself.

‘If I examine it with the wisdom of a dragon something might come out.’

If it was an ancient relic that could not be properly interpreted even with the power of the Blood King then there was a high possibility that a considerably powerful power was sealed within it.

Zik slowly brought his hand to the incense burner.

Then he activated the dragon’s wisdom.

    Wooooowoong―

Zeke’s mind began to connect with the incense burner.

The ghosts flying around screamed even louder.

At that moment a message appeared before Zeke’s eyes.

    [Explore unidentified ancient artifacts.]

[I have detected a powerful sealing force from an ancient relic. Would you like to place the seal?]

As Zeke chose Haeju a powerful light emerged from the incense burner.

    Woohoo!

The seal was released with a powerful light and numerous ghosts rose from the incense burner.

    Kwakwakwakwa―

It was literally a fountain of ghosts with so many ghosts rising up and wrapping themselves around Zig.

    Kkaaa …

Moreover unlike before the ghosts held strong grudges and the power of curses.

Richmond and Vane were shocked to see Zeke wrapped in ghosts.

    “Master!”

    “Master!”

Then Zeke raised his hand as if to say that it was okay.

At that moment Zeke’s shadow stirred and raised its body.

    Kwakwakwakwa―

Shadows linked with the Shadow Armor enveloped Zeke’s body protecting him from the ghosts.

At the same time the shadow opened its mouth wide and began to devour the ghosts pouring down like a waterfall.

    Kkaaa …

The ghosts sensed something ominous as they were sucked into the shadows and fled backwards.

But black hands stretched out from the shadows and caught and absorbed all the fleeing ghosts.

    Kkaaa …

The countless ghosts that emerged from the incense burner were sucked helplessly into Zig’s shadow.

The message appeared before Zeke’s eyes again.

[The lost souls transform into shadow spirits.]

Many of the lost souls had become shadow spirits who followed Zeke’s orders.

    ‘Huh?’

Zeke tried summoning a shadow spirit.

Black shadows rippled and shadow spirits appeared and there were an enormous number of them.

Although they didn’t display the power of shadow summoners it was clear that the mere gathering of thousands of shadows would create a tremendous sense of intimidation.

If you bind it together with other shadow summoners or guardians you could create a shadow army.

    ‘You’ve made some unexpected money.’

Zik became curious about the identity of the incense burner that contained so many lost souls.

Through the wisdom of the dragon he delved deeper into the information of the incense burner with the Akashic code.

    Woooo …

As Zeke dug deeper the incense burner began to vibrate madly.

A foreign energy began to rise from the incense burner which had no more souls to spit out.

Zeke noticed what that alien energy was.

‘Is this the energy I felt from the outsiders?’

At the same time new information began to pour into Zeke’s head.

    Tsk tsk tsk―

The memory information contained in the incense burner directly reflected the past.

    -Kuaaaah!

    -Save me!

    -Eww!

A terrible scream and a cruel sight that could not be seen with open eyes unfolded before Zeke.

In front of the palace which was made up of pointed spires stood a gigantic statue of a demon with dozens of arms and in front of it was a large grand hall. And there were numerous soldiers lined up there.

However the armor and the imperial palace worn by the soldiers lined up in Daejeon were things I had never seen before.

It seemed like an ancient civilization that had disappeared long ago.

Across from the soldiers hundreds of humans and demi-humans were tied to racks in front of the Great Hall screaming.

Masked soldiers tortured and brutally killed them impaling their bodies on spears and hanging them in front of them as if on display.

    ‘What is this…?’

The blood of those who were tortured to death flowed down the grooves carved into the floor of Daejeon.

Someone was sitting in a lake of blood in front of the statue of the devil where blood had flowed.

On his head he wore a golden crown resembling a lion’s mane and on his face he wore a mask also made of gold.

He was wearing no clothes and was wearing ornaments made of bone jewels and gold. The women surrounding him were pouring blood from a golden jar from the lake of blood and sprinkling it on his body.

The man wearing the golden mask bathed his entire body in blood and continued to chant ominous incantations.

    That was when.

    Kookookookook―

A huge wheeled cage came into view in front of Daejeon.

Soon we stopped in the middle of the battle.

    Squeak!

The soldiers stepped back and pulled the chains taut.

Then one side of the cast-iron cage opened with a clang.

    thud!

The heavy iron wall hit the floor with a loud noise that echoed throughout the entire palace.

Soon something burst out inside us.

    Kkaaa …

    A terrible soul-shattering sound.

A half-human half-bird creature with a human face and four pairs of wings appeared within us.

The half-human half-bird bound by the chains of the soul struggled to break free somehow.

Zeke realized the identity of the half-human half-bird that was trapped inside us.

    ‘Nephilim?’

The Nephilim who inherited the blood of the constellations were trapped inside us.

And then the man in the golden mask who had been sitting in the lake of blood stood up.
