    Episode 470

    Kookookookookook!

A portal opened with light and Zeke and the Irregular children the Samjian siblings arrived at Nigel’s treehouse in the heart of the forest.

Nigel’s treehouse looked flimsy on the outside but in fact it was surrounded by several layers of large-scale defensive magic circles created by dragons.

Even if the demon army entered the forest Nigel’s tree house would be considered a safe place.

At that moment Nabu came out of the wooden house.

    “Huh? What is it?”

Nabu was strengthening the seal of the Black Star with Manna. Then out of the blue Zeke opened a portal and entered the place so he couldn’t help but look flustered.

Zeke left Nabu behind who had a surprised expression on his face and took the Irregular children into the tree house and laid them on the bed.

In response to his actions Nabu approached Zeke and asked him.

“I told you to raid the supply depot but why did you pick up so many kids?”

After Zik took care of the children he spoke to Nabu.

“These children are the energy source that supplies magic to the gate.”

    “ok?”

Nabu looked surprised at Zeke’s words then after a while he made a circle with his thumb and index finger and looked at the children lying within the circle.

He lowered his hand in surprise.

    “Are these guys irregulars?”

    Zeke nodded.

“That may seem like it but even if it’s irregular it’s not like it can supply magical power to the gate indefinitely right?”

Nabu nodded after hearing Zeke’s words and approached the children who were lying down.

And this time he made a circle with both hands and looked at the children with both eyes.

    “Hmm….”

Nabu sighed as he looked at the three Irregular children lying on the bed.

Nabu who had been looking at it for a while nodded his head.

“Oh so that could be the case.”

    He said looking at Zeke.

    “These kids are triplets.”

    “Triplets?”

I thought they might be brothers because of their similar hair color and appearance but I didn’t know they were triplets.

    Nabu said stroking his chin.

“There are ancient records that say that twins have an inexplicable mystery from the moment they are born. Triplets are an even greater mystery.”

“Does your words mean that these children born as triplets have infinite magical powers?”

Nabu shook his head at Zeke’s question.

“That’s not true. The reason they emit infinite magical power is because these children contain the Holy Blood.”

“When you say Holy Blood… are you talking about the blood relatives of the Nephilim?”

“Yes in very rare cases offspring are born between humans and Nephilim. In ancient times such children were called ‘children of angels.’”

“Children of Angels… So these children are triplets irregulars and are born with an absurd probability of carrying the Holy Blood.”

    Nabu nodded.

“Honestly I wonder how likely it is that they would be born with this condition naturally. In any case these children seem to have an innate ability to draw in mana from their surroundings and accumulate magical power infinitely in their bodies.”

“Infinite magic power? Is that possible…?”

“Actually that is a common characteristic of angel children. However even if they have holy blood their bodies are the same as humans. Therefore according to ancient records angel children have short life spans and die before the age of ten.”

At Naboo’s words Zeke looked at the children lying down and said.

“Those kids look bigger than that.”

“My guess is that the body is able to withstand the accumulated magical power thanks to the power of the Irregulars. Being triplets may also have had an effect.”

The Irregulars were stigmata created by the God of Chaos to create cracks in the phenomenal world.

Nabu’s words made sense since it was possible to go beyond the laws of the normal world.

Zeke looked away from the lying triplets and asked Nabu.

    “Can those children survive?”

Nabu looked at the children and thought about it.

“Hmm I’m a scholar not a doctor so it’s hard for me to be certain about this or that.”

“If you don’t know who will?”

At those words Nabu made a puzzled expression.

“Huh? What are you talking about? There’s a high table who is better at medicine than me.”

    “Who is that?”

Nabu shook his head at Zeke’s words.

“I didn’t know that old Nigel was so good at medicine.”

    “Yes? Master?”

Throughout her past and present life Nigel had no memory of anything but being beaten so he never thought she would be good at medicine.

‘Well it seems like that might be the case since he didn’t die even after being hit like that.’

When I think about the fact that he had opened up a cessation of power in the human body of Zeke it seemed impossible with ordinary knowledge.

Zeke said nodding to Nabu’s words.

“We need to bring the Master back from the demon tribe so we can treat those children.”

“Yeah maybe Nigel can do it. But are the kids outside also irregulars?”

“It’s a bit complicated to explain… but you can think of them as descendants of the Samjian clan an ancient race that decided to follow me.”

“Huh? The Samjian clan… There are a lot of strange people around you.”

It was at that time that we were able to catch our breath while having that conversation.

    Kkieeeeeeeeing―

Outside a sound was heard as if the sky was tearing apart.

Zeke and Nabu ran out of the tree house in surprise.

Titus and Yulina who had been waiting outside were on guard with bloodshot eyes.

Zeke took out Ascalon and stood in front of the Samjian siblings glaring at something that showed unusual signs.

    Tsk tsk tsk―

A crow made of black energy appeared flapping its wings across the ground and began to grow in size.

    Kkwaddudduk!

After a while the crow spread its wings and revealed a huge body that was over two meters tall.

Overall it looked similar to the Join tribe but the difference was that it had wings on its back.

The crow whose appearance had changed opened its mouth as it looked at Zeke and his group.

[The adopted daughter of the Demon Grand Duke the master of demons the princess of the demon world and an inescapable charmer who leads ten thousand demons…!]

    Shh …

Before the crow tribe could finish speaking Zig slashed with his sword.

    Kwakwakwang!

The sword strike caused an explosion sending up a cloud of dust.

Soon the cloud of dust cleared revealing a crow wrapping its two wings around its body to block the sword strike.

The crow’s eyes visible between its wings burned red.

[Those people who have no manners at all…]

Zeke stepped forward and raised his sword.

“I have no intention of learning manners from those demons. I will make you regret breaking through the barrier and coming here.”

    Woohoo!

A brilliant light rose from Zeke’s sword along with the words.

Beings with magical powers were imbued with a brilliant light energy that could inflict fatal wounds upon even a passing touch.

The crow demon tribe who felt the unusual power of the holy sword stepped back in confusion.

[Wait a minute! I have a message from the Demon World Princess Anastasia!]

“I don’t need any messages from the demons.”

    Pfft pfft pfft!

A bolt of light shot out from Zeke’s holy sword and struck the body of the crow demon.

I tried to quickly step back and avoid the lightning bolt of light but it was no use.

    Pfft pfft pfft!

The crow demon tribe struck by the lightning of light turned to black ash and scattered without even having time to scream.

Nabu and Samjian siblings opened their mouths wide in amazement as they watched Zigg boldly eliminate the demon tribe.

But then a black mist rose from the ashes scattered on the floor.

The blooming azaleas gathered together and soon formed a face.

A voice came from the azure which had the shape of a woman’s face with horns sprouting from its forehead.

[You killed the messenger I sent in one go… I like that a lot Zeke Draker.]

The highest level demon who sent the message.

    Anastasia herself appeared.

Her face shaped like a hawk looked at Zeke and spoke.

[Zeke Draker you know that I have a teacher named Nigel.]

“Why did you take that dangerous man? Don’t waste your life doing useless things. Just send your master back quietly.”

Anastasia laughed out loud at Zeke’s words.

[It’s similar to what I saw in Nigel’s memories. I like it even more.]

Zeke didn’t miss the words Anastasia said ‘Nigel’s memory.’

‘They say you looked into the memories of the High Table Master. Are you a demon who uses mental powers?’

The Crow Demon Tribe introduced Anastasia as the adopted daughter of the Demon Master the Demon Grand Duke.

‘If you can use that power as the incarnation of the Demon King you can’t rest easy. You can use that power to harm your master or you can figure out how to break the seal…’

We had to figure out a way to rescue Nigel as quickly as possible.

Then Anastasia looked at Zeke and said.

[Hey Zeke Draker. I have a proposition for you.]

She said with a captivating smile.

[You would come to where I am to destroy the gate anyway. Instead make a bet with me.]

As far as he knew the Demons had to be most wary when they brought up the topic of bets and contracts.

But given the circumstances Zeke decided to listen to Anastasia first.

“What kind of bet are you talking about?”

[Come to where I am and have a showdown with me. If you win I’ll hand over Nigel and we’ll get out of here. Instead.]

Anastasia’s face made of azure came closer to Zeke.

[If I win the black star and you will all be mine.]

    * * *

Baron the leader of the Black Stage entered the office of the head of the Four Seasons Castle.

    “My lord. Did you call?”

Baron looked around the room at the inaudible answer but Arthur was nowhere to be seen.

He slowly entered the room inside the office.

Passing through Arthur’s personal storage room the Baron stood before a crystal ball on the inner wall took off his gloves and placed his hands on it.

    Wooooowoong―

Surprisingly the portal also reacted to Baron’s hand and activated.

Soon the scenery in the room changed and a void appeared.

Baron walked down the hallway as if he was used to it and stood before a door with the symbol of the Absolute Sword Draker on it.

As he reached out the door slowly opened.

    Kookookookook!

The secret space that Arthur Draker had not shown even to Carlyna Abel was easily allowed to Baron.

The Baron passed the sword statue standing in the secret space and entered through the arched door.

A sword tomb appeared on the floor containing the swords of past Draker lords.

There the Baron was able to find the master of the house Arthur Draker.

Arthur Draker stood before a crudely-shaped black claymore.

Although unknown to the world this is the sword of Saturn Draker the founder of the Draker family.

Arthur Draker stared at the sword in silence.

The Baron approached Arthur and bowed his head.

    “Your Majesty.”

Only when Baron approached did Arthur come to his senses and turn his head.

    “Baron is here.”

He glanced at the Baron for a moment then turned his head and focused his gaze on the black claymore.

    Then he spoke to Baron.

“Even Zeke couldn’t pull out this sword.”

At Arthur’s words Baron raised his head and opened his mouth.

“Did you wish for the sword to be drawn?”

    Arthur chuckled at those words.

“Well… I have mixed feelings when I see Zeke. I’m not sure what I want from him yet.”

He turned to Baron and said.

“This is the first time this has happened. No it is not the first time. Laura Agamemnon. She was like that too.”

Arthur’s eyes darkened at the mention of Laura Agamemnon.

It was an expression never seen before on Arthur.

Arthur’s expression changed and he reached out and grabbed the handle of the black claymore.

    Kugugugugugugu―

A huge energy surged from his body shaking the entire Tomb of Swords.

It felt like the whole place would collapse at any moment.

Still the sword was not pulled out.

Soon Arthur let go of the sword handle and at the same time the huge aura that had been shaking disappeared.

    “Hmm.”

He looked at the unmoving black claymore then turned away.

    Then he said to Baron.

“Baron I don’t think we can just stay like this. The red moon is just around the corner… We need to put that plan I mentioned last time into action.”

The Baron raised an eyebrow at Arthur’s words.

“If the plan you mentioned is implemented it will have a huge impact on the entire Midland.”

“Okay so that’s what you’re telling me to do so of course it should be that way.”

Arthur chuckled and patted the Baron on the shoulder.

“Let my death spread throughout the continent. Then the rats that were hiding will crawl out.”
