    Episode 464

    ‘Heart of the Elder Dragon?’

Zeke asked with an expression that showed he didn’t quite understand what Nabu was saying.

“Does this mean that the Elder Dragon’s broken heart is in the Forgotten Forest?”

    Nabu nodded to Zeke’s words.

“Yes it is sealed in the deepest part of this forest under the name of Black Star.”

“What is that… Wasn’t this forest cursed after the second invasion of the Demon King’s army?”

When Zeke met the Fisherman’s Knight Reyes in the hidden stage inside the Upside-down Tower he remembered that the Forest of the Forgotten had not yet been created.

So it was thought that after the Demon King’s army invaded a forest that was constantly expanding was created due to a curse.

“It’s not wrong to say that it’s cursed. This place became like this when the Elder Dragon’s heart was sealed.”

The forest was made like this meaning it was the heart of the elder dragon.

It was the moment when the secrets of the Forest of the Forgotten one of the largest forbidden zones in the Central Continent were revealed.

After hearing Nabu’s words Zeke opened his mouth as if he had realized something.

“Could it be that the reason you have stayed here for a thousand years Master is to protect the sealed heart of the Elder Dragon?”

Manna who was listening to the story from the side nodded with her hands clasped together.

“That is right Lord Zig. The Black Star has such great power that it should not be allowed to appear in the real world so the Chief himself sealed it here.”

After hearing Manna’s words Zeke realized why the Abyss hordes were attacking this place.

‘You plan to use the Elder Dragon’s heart to revive the Demon King through the second baptism.’

Zeke was able to look into Solomon’s memories of how he fell to the Demon King in Carcosa.

At that moment something flashed through Zeke’s mind.

‘Solomon made a contract with the Elder Dragon and shared his heart. If Solomon became the Demon King in that state wouldn’t it have affected the Elder Dragon with whom he shared his heart?’

It seemed unlikely that a simple sealed broken heart would bring such a curse upon the entire forest.

Zeke considered the possibility that the Black Star might be imbued with the spirit of the Demon King sealed within it.

‘Anyway it’s certain that it’s a dangerous item if it falls into the hands of the Abyss guys.’

Zeke raised his head and looked at Nabu.

“Is the Black Star Seal safe?”

    Nabu nodded.

“As long as Black Star is in this forest it is safe. Since the guardian is Nigel there is no chance of it going outside the forest.”

“It seems like you’re being too relaxed when the Master is being held captive by those guys.”

“Only the Guardians who guard this place can break the seal on the path to the Black Star. Unless Nigel has dementia there’s no way he can guide them.”

At those words Zeke shook his head.

“It’s not necessarily the case. Among the incarnations that received the power of the fallen constellations there may be those who have the ability to break the seal or deceive.”

In fact Zeke also broke through the seal of the great sage using Belial’s power deception and entered the temple of the goddess Theia.

Powers of similar strength may have existed in other fallen constellations.

When he met Nabu at those words his expression also darkened.

    “Well then that’s difficult.”

Nabu was troubled and then said to Manna.

“Surely Zeke has a point. You and I should go to the center of the forest together and defend it.”

Manna nodded clasping her hands together.

“I understand Your Majesty. But what about this place?”

    Nabu nodded.

“I’ll cast a large-scale story spell so it’ll be okay for the time being. I’ll leave the Highlanders behind as well.”

He said pointing to the map he had drawn.

“We’ll guard the center so in the meantime you Zig can raid the energy supply stations and close the gates. There are three in total.”

“Okay. How big is the enemy force?”

“It looks like at least a legion unit is stationed there. The important thing is not to attack each one individually but to attack all three simultaneously. If they know that one place is under attack they will strengthen their defenses in other places making an attack impossible.”

Zeke was troubled by Nabu’s words.

“So you’re saying we have to cut off the energy supply all at once? Hmm….”

Several strategies came to his mind.

Zig quickly gathered his thoughts and stood up from his seat.

“We need to go to the site take a look and then make a plan.”

“Okay first I’ll give you the strong guys from the Highlanders.”

“It’s okay. I’ll do the raid alone. It would be better for the Highlanders to guard this place.”

Nabu asked in surprise at Zeke’s words.

“Huh? You’re going alone? You have to cut off the energy supply from three places at once so how are you going to attack by yourself?”

“Don’t worry there is a way to conquer it.”

Nabu looked at Zeke with an expression of disbelief then nodded.

“Yeah well. I think you’ll be able to handle it well judging from how you fought earlier.”

Manna who was listening to the conversation from the side also nodded with her hands clasped together.

Zick said rising from his seat.

“I will continue to deploy summoners and guardians so please focus on defense. This place must not be breached until the gate is closed.”

“Okay I’ll protect this place somehow so don’t worry and come back safely.”

After leaving the central barracks Zeke checked the location of the energy source at the gate that Nabu had marked on the map.

‘I think they would have put up considerable defenses for something of this scale.’

It seemed like he had to see it with his own eyes first so Zeke tried to sneak closer using the system portal.

Zig’s eyes widened as he checked the karma points he had earned from this battle to use the portal.

    “huh?”

I almost thought the number of units for karma points was misspelled.

    “What is this?”

A number exceeding 200000 points was displayed in the status window.

I thought it would be possible to earn a lot of points but I didn’t think it would be this much.

‘I guess I don’t have to worry about points anymore?’

It was Zig who calculated the points every time and thought about how to use them most efficiently.

But now that I had a way to earn a lot of points I thought I could use the system’s features a bit more freely.

He opened the system portal without any burden thanks to his ample karma points.

    Wooooow!

His body disappeared with a huge flash of light.

    * * *

    Krrrrrr—

A demon larger than the monstrous dogs that had attacked the Highlanders and with a huge hook on its tail was roaming around the forest.

The highlanders called it a monster and its speed and strength were far superior to those of the monster dogs.

Zig hid behind a tree to conceal his presence then widened his scope and looked around.

    ‘I guess there’s only one.’

He raised his shadow armor to move stealthily.

    Tsk tsk tsk―

The shadow armor wrapped around his body completely erased Zeke’s presence.

He stealthily approached the tiger from behind in that state created a shadow transformed it into the shape of a giant scythe and quickly swung it towards the tiger.

    Crunch-

The monster didn’t even notice Zeke until he was right behind him and his head was literally cut off by the black scythe.

    thud!

The body of the monster who had never been able to resist even once fell to the floor.

Zeke who had used Shadow Armor in actual combat was astonished by its power beyond his imagination.

‘I didn’t know it was this much. This is a total scam item.’

He quickly recovered from his surprise raised his shadow absorbed the fallen monster and dug inside.

There were signs of life beyond the forest.

    ‘I guess that’s the place.’

According to Nabu’s words all three energy supply stations had to be destroyed before the gate could be closed.

‘You’re saying that we have to attack three fortresses that are well-fortified to this extent at once.’

The Highlanders were guarding the forest from the demons and High Table was guarding the Black Star Seal.

As soon as Zeke heard about the situation from Nabu he took out the green sword and the sword of the east from his inventory as he had thought.

‘Arataso Nevilleos. You guys need to help me out.’

It was Zeke who shamelessly tried to attack the Abyss’ stronghold using the Demon Tribe.

Arataso who had been with Zeke for a long time thought so but Nevillos didn’t answer as if that wasn’t the case.

Zeke shook the Eastern sword containing Nevilleros.

    ‘Hey Neville answer me.’

    Then Arataso said to Zeke.

[Neviloth is a high-ranking demon and inspector of Abaddon. There is no way he would follow along so easily as he has strong pride.]

Zig clicked his tongue at Aratasso’s words.

‘Anyway those demons don’t listen to words.’

Zig immediately grabbed the Eastern Sword and summoned the will of light.

    Tsk tsk tsk tsk―

As the divine light seeped into the sword Neville’s terrified voice burst out.

    [Kwaaaaak!]

‘Do you want to run? If I call you answer quickly.’

Neville Ross said his teeth chattering at Zeke’s harsh tone.

[This guy is more devilish than the devil!]

‘Shut up and listen carefully to what I’m explaining. This is a plan that relies on timing so if it fails you’ll be holding the Holy Sword all day.’

Nevilleros had no choice but to break down in the face of Zeke’s cruelty. He gritted his teeth and replied positively telling him to speak.

He planned to send Neviloth and Arataso to the energy supply depots respectively and then use the system portal to destroy them without delay.

‘I’ll send out ghost soldiers to keep you waiting and when I give the signal you stir up the place and create a place for me to move to the portal. As soon as I come out of the portal I’ll destroy the energy supply depot.’

Arataso replied that he understood what Zeke said and Neviloth remained silent for a while before being baptized in light again.

After hearing a proper answer from Neville Zeke summoned the ghost soldiers gave them each a green sword and an oriental sword and sent them to the energy supply depot.

Then it infiltrated and infiltrated the first energy supply depot.

As it was an important stronghold there were new types of demons and monsters surrounding it in addition to strange dogs and tigers.

As I went inside there was a retaining wall made of solid stones and the construction technology was not unfamiliar.

    ‘Orcs?’

Looking at the familiar thing Zeke noticed that the main force guarding the supply depot was Orcs.

‘They’re so persistent that it’ll be tiring to deal with them all one by one so I’ll have to hit them quickly and get out.’

Covered in shadow armor Zeke turned into a black haze and entered the wall entering their stronghold.

Entering the room like that Zeke was startled by the unexpected sight.

    ‘It’s not just orcs.’

In addition to the legions of orcs wearing thick armor and carrying steel axes there were other races present.

There were also the Satyr race with the horns and legs of a goat the Arachne race with the body of a spider and the upper body of a human woman and the Gremlin race with small but cruel habits.

‘They are all races that disappeared from the surface of the earth along with the Orcs. Where on earth did you Abyss bastards find such people?’

Siemens Apollyon who attempted to have the Demon King descend into his body in order to destroy the Kingdom of Kronos united these races to create the Demon King’s Army.

If the Demon King’s power had not existed in the first place even Siemens Apollyon would not have been able to control these ferocious races with different habits.

As Zeke was making a face at the gathering of those races a fight broke out on one side.

“You dirty little spider! Get out of here!”

One of the Arachne tribe and an Orc warrior glared at each other fiercely breathing murderous intent.

The sinister satyr race stood back and watched the fight with interest while the gremlins at the forefront bared their sharp teeth and urged them to fight more.

Regardless of the reactions of the two races the giant Arachne race looked down at the Orc warrior with its four shining eyes.

“You must be dying for an orc to dare to speak against the wonderful Arachne tribe.”

“What are you talking about when it comes to bugs? Okay great. Let’s feast on grilled spiders for the first time in a while.”

As Zeke watched the fight between the two races he suddenly realized one thing.

‘Isn’t that what Arachne is speaking an ancient Eastern Continent language?’

The Orcs who were trapped in the Forest of the Forgotten spoke the ancient Central Continent language but Arachne spoke the ancient Eastern Continent language.

In view of this it was possible that Arachne like the other monsters had come from beyond the Mannyeon Mountains.

‘So the lost ancient races were still living beyond the inaccessible Eternal Mountains? There might be other races besides them.’

While Zeke was lost in thought other orcs joined in wielding axes and threatening Arachne. Seeing their attitude other Arachne who were underground crawled out as well.

“The wondrous Arachne clan is one.”

“I will use the insolent orcs who threatened my clan as food for my new children.”

At the threat of the Arachne clan the orcs also raised their axes and shouted battle cries.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about but you little bugs. Come here and see. Today I’m going to roast and eat you and all the baby spiders.”

It was a situation where a collision could occur at any moment.

But then the black magicians of the abyss appeared in front of them with someone.

“What the hell are they doing!”

The warlock of the abyss shouted at the orcs and arachne.

The gremlins who had been watching from the side ran away in an instant and the satyrs made excuses saying that it had nothing to do with them.

In fact the orcs and arachne had no fear of the warlocks of the Abyss.

However they seemed to be secretly concerned about the hooded figure behind the warlocks.

The warlocks came forward first to try to restrain the orcs and arachne but when they refused to listen those behind them stepped forward.

Only then did the orcs and arachne flinch in surprise and step back.

“You are a race of incomparably inferior beings.”

It was a strange voice buzzing in my ears.

Zeke also looked at him carefully impressed by the voice.

    ‘Is this a new species?’

Then he took off his hood.

The orcs and arachne stepped back in surprise.

Zeke who had been watching this from a hidden location couldn’t help but be surprised when he saw the man’s true identity.

    ‘That’s…?’

The clear bloodshot eyes set into his forehead.

The identity of the hooded figure was none other than the Samjian clan the rulers of Shambhala.
