    Episode 46

    “What is this?”

The document was none other than a contract to transfer shares of Reinhart Corporation.

The terms were written to transfer 20% of Reinhart Trading Company’s shares.

“Are you saying you will transfer your shares? Your shares in Reinhart Corporation?”

Reinhart Trading Company was still a profitable and excellent trading company.

Giving up 20% of a stake in a place with high growth potential was no different than giving up millions of gold for nothing.

Princess Melissa nodded at Zeke’s surprised words.

“Of course. If you can convince me one-fifth of the company will be yours.”

    “Ugh.”

It was an action that was difficult to understand with the common sense that Zig possessed in his previous life.

Even if he had saved her life by giving her the medicine it was already a deal that had ended with another contract.

All Princess Melissa wanted now was certainty. It felt excessive to give Zeke a stake for that purpose.

“Princess Melissa. I am still a student at Valhalla. I don’t understand why you are doing this.”

To be honest Princess Melissa’s actions only made me more wary.

In his experience people never give something away without a return.

Any deal where the stakes are too high always has something fishy going on.

Then Princess Melissa looked at Zeke and said.

“I am a princess but I am also a merchant. The reason I am making this offer to Sir Zeke is because it is clearly worth the investment.”

“Investment value. What kind of value? Because I am a knight of Drake?”

“Please don’t misunderstand I’m not speaking badly of Draker. I’m sorry but there are many knights of Draker besides Sir Zeke.”

When Zeke heard Princess Melissa’s words something flashed through his mind.

“The right to a cure for safflower disease…..”

Currently the safflower disease is constantly spreading in the border areas of the Kingdom of Alencia.

Princess Melissa was a person who helped the people of the kingdom through charity work.

There was no way she could just leave Hong Hwa-byung alone.

“Are you saying you’ll give up equity to buy the rights to the cure?”

“If the Empire spread this disease then the cure could stop their plot and even if not it would save the people of the Kingdom of Alencia so it’s a good deal.”

Zeke looked into Princess Melissa’s eyes to figure out her intentions.

Of all the people he had met in his past life there was no one who would sacrifice themselves for someone else like Princess Melissa.

No there was only one person.

‘Damn it. I tried not to think about it.’

The first person that came to mind when I first started regressing.

I thought of that man who stubbornly followed his own path like a noble wolf in the frozen north.

    “Sir Zeke?”

Zik suddenly came to his senses.

The person she knew and Melissa had similar eyes.

    He opened his mouth slowly.

“Do I just have to declare that I am not from the Empire?”

    Princess Melissa nodded.

Zeke stood up from his seat.

Then he pulled out the sword he had placed there.

Cliff who was behind flinched and tried to rush in but Princess Melissa stopped him.

    Zeke said holding his sword.

“I Nazik Draker swear on my honor that I have no ties to the Empire.”

It was a short statement but it carried great weight.

    Princess Melissa nodded.

“Thank you Sir Zeke. Your honorable oath has given me the confidence to trust my own judgment once more.”

Melissa signed the transfer agreement right away.

Then he handed the contract to Zeke.

Zick looked at the transfer contract and thought about it.

Although it was burdensome to have to maintain a continuous relationship with Princess Melissa I couldn’t easily give it up when I thought about the future value of Reinhart Trading Company.

‘If it’s too much of a burden just sell it again later.’

“Zeke said as he signed the contract.

“I will gratefully accept the shares you have given me but I would like my identity to remain unknown to the public.”

“Of course Sir Zeke. Don’t worry about that part.”

Melissa said pulling her hood back over her head.

“Even if I can’t go to Atlas for business I still get to visit once a month. Since Sir Zeke has become a director of Reinhart Trading I hope he can make time for me if possible.”

Melissa left the reception room with her signature elegant smile.

Zig left alone in the living room shook his head at the seat where Melissa had been sitting.

There was a lot of talking going on here and there and it was tiring but in the end we got what we needed from each other.

‘Somehow things are going better than before the regression but my headaches seem to be getting worse.’

Life itself was simple even though it was rough back then.

Zik shook his head once and got up from his seat.

When things get complicated swinging a sword is the best.

Zeke headed straight to the training room.

    “It’s finally over!”

It took Jik two whole months to acquire the True Dragon Sword.

He first checked the status window.

    Karma points held: 1095 points

I was able to refill 500 points of the 800 points I lost while using the portal to burn down the McCain Cartel warehouse.

“By the way the proficiency level of A-class skills isn’t increasing.”

No matter how much I used it for two months and tried to increase my proficiency the magic reflection and area buffs were still at the beginner level.

It seemed like the only way to gain experience was to use it in actual combat.

After checking the status window Zeke quickly opened his inventory and checked the report coordinates of the Kingdom of Kronos which he was most curious about.

There was something like old paper stored in the inventory.

When Zeke selected the paper a message appeared.

    [The coordinates are currently unreadable.]

[You need to find a seal that can activate the coordinates.]

[You can activate the coordinates by finding and combining the scattered seals.]

    “What? Seal? Activation?”

Soon a map appeared before Zeke’s eyes.

The approximate locations were marked all over the continent.

“What is this? Two in the central continent one in the southern continent and one in the north. The seal was split into four?”

As expected obtaining the kingdom’s report was never an easy task.

At the same time a mission message window popped up.

    ―Linked Quest Missions―

[Find the scattered seals of the Kingdom of Kronos and restore them to their original state. (No time limit)]

[Quest Mission Reward: Title: Successor of the Kingdom of Kronos]

“Heir to the Kingdom of Kronos? The title is the only reward?”

Being able to activate the coordinates of the report was quite appealing but there was no need to rush the mission if the only reward was a title.

Since it was a mission with no time limit I thought I could proceed slowly.

“I guess I’ll take my time looking for it after I finish the urgent things.”

After finishing his confirmation Zeke relaxed and went out of the training ground and went up to his room.

As soon as Zeke arrived at his room he noticed a letter on his bed.

It looked like it was tightly sealed so it seemed like it was sent by Kay.

Zig broke the seal and checked the contents.

    “You finally took the bait.”

A date was set to meet Don Juan.

Valhalla also had a vacation period coming up soon so I had some free time.

Zeke immediately got up from his seat.

“Okay. It’s been a while since I’ve seen any of the Southern Continent drug dealers.”

    * * *

    “Come on! This way!”

The port of Aison was always crowded with ships coming in for trade.

Thanks to the efforts of Kali Draker the sea routes to and from the Central Sea were cleared after the pirates in the South Sea disappeared and this made it possible for regular ships to and from the Republic of Dorta to operate.

There were also ships belonging to the up-and-coming Rhinehart Company in the harbor.

Zig who was disguised as a sales representative for the Southern Continent branch of Reinhart Trading Company tried his best to hide his youthful appearance and pretend to be an ordinary young man.

There was no one on board who could connect him with Zeke Draker who had taken off his black gloves the symbol of a pureblood Awakened member of the Draker family.

‘I think it will arrive in about ten days.’

Even if I wanted to use the portal I couldn’t use it unless I had been to a place before.

Moreover even if you have been to a place you cannot move unless the portal coordinates are activated.

There were limitations in many ways but once I went to the Southern Continent and activated the coordinates I could move whenever I wanted even if it cost a lot of points so I decided to think as positively as possible.

‘It’s the best for creating an alibi.’

Zeke sat on one side of the boat humming a leisurely tune.

In my previous life I had a lot of things to do so I often rode a boat. I thought about taking a break and thinking about those days after a long time.

    Just then someone approached Zeke.

“Hey kid. Get out of the way!”

The sailors approached and roughly unloaded their cargo onto where Jik was.

There was no need to put it there but it seemed like he did it on purpose because he found it annoying that Zig was just sitting around doing nothing.

Zig who was wearing glasses for camouflage pushed them up and spoke to the sailor.

    “Hey you. What’s your name?”

At Zeke’s words a rough-looking sailor approached him as if in disbelief.

“You? You skinny little brat are you crazy? Do you want to get thrown in the sea?”

Then the captain came up on the ship.

As soon as he found Zeke he ran over to him rubbed his hands together and bowed his head.

“Oh my Vice-Minister! Why didn’t you just stay comfortable? You came up on the boat already.”

The sailor who had been threatening Zeke was surprised by the captain’s attitude.

    “Money money money?”

The number of people in charge of the business meant the person who held full authority over the business.

And the subordinate rank is the rank immediately below that rank.

It’s rare for someone as young as Zeke to hold the position of vice president.

If there was it meant that he was a relative or blood relative of a high-ranking official in the company.

Just in case I asked Cliff to promote me but he had already created a new identity for me as his nephew and given me the position of deputy chief of staff.

Zick pushed up his glasses and asked again.

    “So what’s your name?”

The sailor’s face turned pale and he lowered his head at a 90 degree angle.

“I am very sorry Your Majesty! I did not know you and made a mistake.”

“Zeke said tapping the sailor’s cheek.

“Let’s do well. I’ll be watching.”

    “Yes! I understand!”

Zeke chuckled and was guided into a cabin that was even more luxurious than the captain’s room.

I lay on the soft bed and felt the soft comforter.

‘It takes ten days on a boat so there’s no need to go in such an uncomfortable way.’

Zeke dreams of becoming the strongest on the continent.

He was a man who knew the sweetness of power.
