A Dragonslayer’s Peerless Regression – 425
by Hectopascal(헥토파스칼 )
Episode 425
‘William Siemens. Yeah there was that guy.’
Since being captured by Zeke William has been held under the Black Sword Knights’ camp under the pretext of protection.
The other imperial troops agreed to Julius’s will and were released from captivity but William was still under surveillance.
It seems that Carus went to see William Siemens and asked if the story about the Siemens family was true and heard some more stories.
“Was William Siemens speaking obediently?”
Karus nodded.
“I guess he thought he had no choice because of the situation so he explained it to me in great detail later.”
Zeke thought for a moment after hearing Karus’s words.
‘If William Siemens is the successor he must know something about the secrets of the Siemens family.’
Zeke decided to ask William more information about Ramon Siemens’ purpose and his relationship with the Abyss.
He got up from his seat.
“I think I should meet William Siemens for a moment.”
Karus was surprised by his words.
“At this hour? You’re not trying to torture me are you?”
“…What do you think of me? I just have something to ask you about the Siemens family. Have you become closer to Prince Leo?”
At those words Karus sighed and shook his head.
“Brother Leo and I weren’t really close even when we were in the Empire. He just swung his sword every day and didn’t play at all. I asked him to go to parties with me a few times but he just nagged at me instead so I didn’t contact him after that.”
Zeke looked pitiful as he heard Karus’ words.
“How about you follow in Prince Leo’s footsteps and learn to swing your sword a bit? Sitting in the corner and drinking all day is bad for your health.”
“Eeeeeee! I can’t hear you I can’t hear you!”
Zeke clicked his tongue shook his head and left Carus who didn’t like being nagged in the room as he headed towards William Siemens.
Although they were practically prisoners of war they were nominally kept for protection purposes and were provided with VIP rooms and quality meals.
In front of the room where William Siemens was staying there were knights guarding it.
The knights saluted with a dignified attitude as they looked at Zeke.
He was saluted by the knights and entered the room.

As I entered the room I saw William Siemens sitting at his desk diligently writing something.
Zeke said as he looked at William Siemens.
“It’s pretty late but you look quite busy.”
“It’s hard to fall asleep when you never know when an uninvited guest might show up.”
William Siemens spoke in a cold voice without even looking back at Zig.
William Siemens put down the pen he was writing with and turned to look at Sieg.
“Why are you here Zeke Draker? Are you here to interrogate me again?”
“If I said no I’d be lying.”
Zeke dragged a chair over and walked over to William Siemens.
As they stood facing each other Zeke spoke to William.
“Do you know what the situation in Rome is like now?”
William did not respond to Zeke’s words.
He said to William.
“I heard about the Siemens family from Karus. It was quite impressive. At least I know that the Siemens family members are hard-working. They plot one thing or another.”
William just glared at Zeke and remained silent. Zeke looked at William and opened his mouth again.
“What I’m curious about is what on earth Ramon Siemens is going to do with the dead Abel.”
Abel was clearly killed by Zeke’s hands.
And it is impossible to bring a dead human back to life by any magic or miracle.
In the end it turns out that Ramon Siemens used Abel’s dead body to make it seem like he was alive.
William listened to Zeke’s words silently then slowly opened his mouth.
“I have told you everything I know.”
“It’s not you who’s judging that it’s me.”
At that moment a strong sense of pressure emanated from Zig’s body.
Having absorbed Caligula’s power Zeke was gradually taking on the appearance of a stronger king.
Caligula the blood king who had all the people under his feet and held their souls in his hands.
Even though he was not such a cruel tyrant his naturally overwhelming aura was difficult to handle even for Siemens’ successor.
‘Ugh.’
William unconsciously avoided eye contact with Zeke and trembled.
Zeke said as he looked at William like that.
“Such resistance is meaningless William. You will never be able to refuse what I say.”
William tried to counter Zeke’s majesty somehow but he felt it was becoming more and more burdensome.
And at some point Zeke used the power of the Three Eyes on William.
Woohoo!
William’s eyes turned red as bloodshot eyes appeared on his forehead.
William was already captivated by Zeke’s majesty so he immediately succumbed to the power of the Samjian.
Zeke asked William.
“What does Ramon Siemens want to do with Abel’s dead body?”

William’s mouth moved.
He tried to speak but his mouth didn’t move as if it was blocked by something.
Zeke who was quietly watching the scene realized that William’s body was also covered in gold.
‘They even put a ban on the successor to the family?’
Zig stuck out his tongue at Siemens’s cruel method.
The power of the Three Eyes was to subdue the spirits and make them follow his words.
If you try to force an answer from William whose actions are restricted by the ban you may end up dying from the backlash.
Zeke withdrew his power from the mind and slowly approached William.
‘Is it okay to use the Dragon’s Wisdom twice a day?’
Although he was skeptical he had no other choice so he grabbed William’s head and activated the Dragon’s Wisdom skill.
Woohoo!
Zeke used his wise man’s eyes to select and check only the necessary data related to William.
It was about the baptism of Ramon Siemens and Abel Narak.
Surprisingly there was not much information William knew about him so the data itself was selected in small quantities.
As for baptism I only knew that it involved transplanting a dragon’s heart to Abel.
‘Doesn’t William know what Ramon is trying to do with Abel’s body?’
But then it happened.

Suddenly the data that Zeke was looking at began to break down and change into strange symbols.
‘what?’
I’ve used the Sage’s Eye to look at karma data many times but never before has this happened.
Soon the strange symbols from the broken letters began to come together and form a single shape.

The figure blinked and approached Zeke like a shadow unable to maintain its form.
Zeke looked at this strange sight and carefully observed the shadow’s actions.
At some point the shadow opened its mouth and said something to Zeke.
『■◆◀□■ ■■ ◆◀ ■■■!』
But Zeke had absolutely no idea what the shadow was shouting.
The blinking became more frequent and soon the shadowy figure completely dispersed.
At the same time the Dragon’s Wisdom skill was released and Zigg returned to his original state.
‘What did I just see?’
Zeke who had been blankly staring for a moment looked down and saw William slumped over with his eyes unfocused.
Zeke checked William’s condition urgently.
His breathing and pulse were normal but he was not conscious.
Zeke closely observed William’s condition with his three eyes then frowned.
William seemed to have suffered a great mental blow and lost his wits when the golden chain he had been wearing was broken.
Ramon Siemens had placed a severe ban on even his own successors.
‘Ramon Siemens. What a cruel man.’
Zeke guessed that the shadow he had just seen was a manifestation of the secret that Siemens had planted and was blocking.
First he called a therapist and had William Siemens transferred to a treatment center.
The therapist who decided that treatment was not possible within the mansion transferred him to the city hospital in Heli.
After hearing all this Zeke ordered that efforts be made to cure him but he knew that realistically there was no way to restore William Siemens’ sanity.
It was virtually brain dead.
‘I don’t feel so good.’
Zeke went back to his room and lay down on his bed.
Although he did not directly destroy the spirit of William Siemens he felt some sense of responsibility since his influence was not completely absent.
But soon he pulled himself together again.
‘The situation is unfortunate but there is no need to pity William Siemens. After all it was all the Siemens guys who did this.’
I hadn’t expected to get much information from William’s memories in the first place but I couldn’t help feeling uneasy when the situation turned out this way.
I could just feel how vicious Siemens are.
Of course that doesn’t mean I gained nothing at all.
Zeke recalled the words the shadowy figure had left behind.
‘System that language from earlier. Can you interpret it?’
The system responded to Zeke’s words.
[Retrieve data for related languages.]
[Similar language families were found but due to insufficient data interpretation of those languages failed.]
“What language family is it similar to?”
[Traces of what appear to be similar language groups were found in some of the murals and reliefs found in the ruins of Siemens Apollyon.]
“In the ruins of Siemens Apollyon?”
The castle of Salmak where Gaia’s soul was imprisoned was the ruins of Siemens Apollyon.
‘If it was the language of the demon world the system would have interpreted it. How strange.’
After thinking it over Zik decided to call the hermit because he had many questions to ask.
He took out a mirror and sent a signal to the hermit of the story.
But there was no response from the other side of the mirror.
“That’s strange. Last time you told me to get the squeak squeak… Is something wrong?”
Although he grumbled the story of the hermit who was a high table could have been called to an emergency meeting because demons and monsters were running rampant throughout the continent.
Zig decided to put off contacting the hermit and get some sleep for now.
Although he only slept about three hours a day he was starting to feel tired after not sleeping for almost a week.
He soon fell asleep on the bed.
How many hours did he sleep like that? Someone knocked on Zeke’s room and rushed in right away.
“My lord!”
It was none other than Felix.
At the sound of Felix’s voice Zeke who had been sleeping woke up.
“You came in without even answering. What’s going on Felix?”
“My lord that is… a messenger from the empire has arrived.”
Felix hesitated for a moment as if he had made a mistake then quickly continued. Then hearing Felix’s words Zeke frowned and abruptly stood up from his seat.
“The messenger of the empire?”
“He revealed himself as the Commander of the Knights of the Twin Arches one of the 13 legions of the Empire.”
Zeke’s eyebrows twitched.
The Twin Archers were one of the legions that followed Azmun Barrios the Grand Master of the Magi.
‘If it’s the commander of the Knights of the Twins… it’s him. Castro Pollock.’
The Pollock family was a prominent and ancient family in the empire.
And Castro Pollock despite being from such a prestigious imperial family had an unusual history of graduating from Valhalla.
Perhaps that is why he was evaluated by outsiders as a new generation of journalists with intelligence and skills who had flexible thinking.
However Zeke who had fought in the Continental War in his previous life knew the true identity of Castro Pollock.
‘He was an extreme purist.’
Castro Pollock was a man who did not recognize any race other than humans viewing them as inferior creatures and believing strongly that they should be ruled by humans.
Because of this even during the Continental War they showed a rather kind attitude towards human prisoners but did not hesitate to commit terrible acts against prisoners of other races.
He also thought that the northern continent where many non-human races gathered was very unclean.
So he committed atrocities such as indiscriminately casting magic or setting fire to villages of other races in the name of purifying the northern continent.
Zeke was not particularly pleased with Castro’s visit having witnessed firsthand the madness he had witnessed at the time.
‘I don’t know why you came but I guess I should just meet you.’
Zeke prepared himself and headed to the reception room where Castro Pollock was waiting.
As soon as he entered Castro who had the typical imperial appearance of soft blond hair blue eyes and white skin greeted him warmly with open arms.
“Sir Zeke Draker Knight of Salvation! It is a pleasure to meet you. I lead the Knights of the Twin Archers of Castro Pollock.”
It was such a friendly greeting that a stranger might mistake Castro and Zeke for comrades in the same camp.
Zick gave a brief greeting and sat down.
As soon as he sat down he spoke directly to Castro.
“What brings you here Lord Castro?”
Castro looked slightly disappointed at Zeke’s harsh tone but then smiled and said.
“Haha you don’t have to be so wary of me. I came here to help Kyung.”
He spoke kindly then suddenly his smiling face changed and he spoke to Zeke in a low voice.
“Sir Zeke you must not go to Rom now. This is a trap by Azmun Barrios.”
