Zeke looked back as he ran through the forest.

There were three shadows chasing him.

Zig took a dagger out of his bosom infused it with his spirit and threw it at the shadow.

The daggers were stuck right in the shadows.

A demon who looked like a plaything fell from the tree with a dagger stuck between its eyebrows and rolled on the ground.

Zeke spread his shadow and absorbed the dead demons.

Tsk tsk tsk―

The mental and physical power consumed increased but there were no new bloodline abilities.

‘I sold most of them because they were useless even after absorbing the bloodline abilities but it’s a shame that they’re gone now.’

After the training of Honshinki his spiritual power has increased so much that he is now able to use the 4th stage skill.

Although summoning a dragon still required a lot of spiritual power it seemed like it would be usable on the battlefield.

The time had come for the fifth stage of opening.

Zig turned on the system window and checked the dragon skills.

Polymorph: You can change into the form of any race you want. The amount of spiritual power required varies depending on the race. (7500 points required to unlock)

Zeke read the information written in the Dragon’s Wisdom carefully.

“I’ve seen polymorphs used by dragons so I know what this is. It’s about obtaining karma data…”

It occurred to Zeke that when he had obtained the Eye of the Sage from the divine dragon Hermes he had not yet been able to use it because he did not have access to the karma data.

Zig looked at the forest with no path holding his sword and then hurled his sword straight inside.

A strong wind blew and the trees in the forest swayed.

The ground beneath Zeke’s feet shook and something burst out from underneath.

Snake-like tentacles with sharp teeth burst out of the ground and tried to wrap themselves around Zeke’s body.

Zeke stepped back and swung his sword at the tentacles.

Shush!

With a light swing of the sword the tentacles’ heads were cut off and a green sticky liquid gushed out from the severed sections.

Cheeeeeeek―

When the green liquid which must have been acidic hit the ground smoke rose.

Zeke recalled a similar memory.

‘It was like this when I fought the swamp lord or the hydra I saw in Dorta.’

Perhaps the dragon that had been eroded by the magic was guarding the seal of the god of the earth.

Zeke held his sword and took a deep breath.

‘This is a chance to test the power of my newly acquired Honshinki.’

Zeke summoned the will of the river while holding the sword.

The will of the river that wrapped around Zig’s body protected him as if his entire body had been made of bronze.

Zeke grabbed his sword and ran towards the basin with the trees.

Then dozens of giant tentacles emerged from the ground.

Zeke used his dragon wing skill and glided down into the basin.

He opened his holy light and headed towards the tree protecting his body with his will to teach.

Lightning bolts of light shot out everywhere burning all the tentacles that surged up from the ground and rushed towards me.

The whole area was filled with the roar of tentacles and the scattering of black ash.

It was when Zeke again approached the withered tree in the center of the basin.

Something that had been underground began to slowly reveal itself.

Zeke aimed his sword at the demon coming up to the ground.

A scream so horrible that it was hard to imagine it coming from a living being burst out from what seemed to be underground.

The eyes that had been buried inside the mass of flesh stretched out like snakes hanging on long tentacles.

Zeke held Bahamut in his hands and took a deep breath as he looked at the bizarre creature that gave him an ominous feeling just by looking at it.

‘Is it an abnormal species or an ancient species?’

As I was wondering how to deal with the ominous creature it made its move first.

The surface of the fleshy body began to boil and amorphous clones began to flow out from within.

Spider-like legs grew from the bodies of the clones which had no set form and had ugly eyes and mouths with sharp teeth.

The clones quickly rushed towards Zeke with a creepy roar.
